It's been said that Satan often speaks in first person. When we have thoughts that begin with "I" followed by something negative, we should immediately recognize Satan at work.
We all have scripts playing in our minds, and if we're not careful we'll place more trust in these toxic thoughts and words than we do in the Word of Jesus.
Jesus called Satan a liar and the father of lies (John 8:44).
In this message, Pastor Randy encourages us to "flip the script". These negative, ungodly scripts that we believe are detrimental to our spiritual and emotional health.
God the Father has called us to be free. It's time to flip the script, to replace these negative scripts with what God has said about us.

Unfortunately, this is real life, not a school play. The scripts we embrace will determine the direction of our lives.

There are seven primary Hebrew words translated as "praise" in the English Bible. Just as we often use the word "love" in many facets. We love our family, love sports, or love Chick-fil-a. Even though we use the same word, the meaning isn't exactly the same.
Similarly, when we read the word "praise" in Scripture the actual meaning might be deeper than our English understanding of the word.

The modern church has unintentionally diminished the meaning of the word 'worship'. The term 'praise and worship' has become synonymous with music. Praise = fast songs / worship = slow songs. But the apostle Paul tells a different story in the New Testament.
Romans 12:1 — Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God's mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship.
In essence, true worship is about living a life of sacrifice to God. While music certainly plays a very significant role in our worship and connection to God, we do ourselves a disservice when we only associate worship with music.
God is inviting us to a life of sacrifice. He wants our entire heart, soul, and mind, not just our musical preferences.

Jesus tells us that when the seed (the Word of God) is sown, the birds of the air come immediately to steal the seed. Don't allow the enemy of your soul to steal what God has begun. Fight for your freedom. But never forget, we're fighting from a place of victory because Jesus already won the war on the cross.

The cousin of Jesus tells us in John 1:4-5 - "In him [Jesus] was life, and that life was the light of all mankind. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it."
With little to no effort we fall into what psychologists call "negative bias", where we hyper focus on the negative (darkness) and ignore the positive (light). But as dark as it is all around us, the light of God shines through, and the darkness cannot, will not, and "has not overcome it" (to quote John).

Can you think of a time in your life where your peace and joy were more under attack? Everywhere we turn, we're faced with more chaos. While the media feeds on our innate desire for the negative, God is calling us to begin to think differently. Scripture says that the joy of the Lord is our strength. If we lose our joy, we lose our ability to fight. Maybe the reason some of us fail more often than we should is, we've lost our joy?
On this episode Pastor Randy reminds us that true joy is found in Jesus, and encourages us to choose joy, even in the midst of turmoil.

God wants to bring healing to our lives, but "He's unable to heal what we refuse to reveal". In other words, God can't bring healing if we refuse to come out of hiding.
The truth is, we all have masks we hide behind. Society, culture, friends, family, etc all tell us we have to be a certain way. So we hide any part of our lives that doesn't match that imposed requirement. The problem is we often carry guilt, and shame, and regret behind those masks.
The good news is, if we will take off our masks and reveal what's underneath, God can bring healing. It won't be easy, and it might even be painful. But if we trust he process, healing will come.

The subject of Pentecost or the Holy Spirit can often be a divisive subject, which is ironic, because one of the functions of the Holy Spirit is to bring unity. On this episode, Pastor Randy tackles some misconceptions, dispels some fears, and gives us permission to ask questions.

If it really is God's will to heal, and we believe it is, how do we receive healing? In this message Pastor Randy opens up this subject and gives us one of the ways we can receive healing from God. It's by grace through faith (Ephesians 2:8). Listen and be encouraged. You can't earn it or be good enough for it. Healing is a gift that was purchased by Jesus.
This message asks some hard questions? Are we offended toward God? When God doesn't answer our prayers the way we want or the way we think He should, does it cause offense? If we are offended toward God does that limit His ability to work in our lives?
The subject of healing (spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical) is so deep and wide. We are assured that God does still heal and are confident that it is His will to heal us, but we're not naive to the fact that not everyone receives healing. We hope this message (and series) brings hope and encouragement to those who need healing and also to those who have experienced great loss due to sickness, disease, or sudden tragedy.
No matter what -- Jesus is the answer and He is enough.

1) WHAT FORGIVENESS IS:
- To grant relief from payment
-
The offender no longer owes you anything
-
To pardon or release an offense without requiring a penalty
- This simply means you’re taking the punishment out of your hands.
-
It’s not up to you to decide how someone who’ll be punished, you must release that to God.
-
To cancel debt
- Often we feel like someone who’s wrong us, owes us something.
- They don’t — They don’t owe us anything.
- Maybe not even an apology.
-
Forgiving others isn’t based on their actions it's based on ours.
-
Forgiveness is a decision, not a feeling.
- Forgiveness is a conscious and continuous decision no matter how I feel.
2: WHAT FORGIVENESS ISN’T:
- It doesn’t mean that we deny or ignore the offense, saying the offense was ok or not important
-
When we forgive someone and release them of what they owe us — it’s not an agreement that the offense was ok.
-
It doesn’t mean the offended will not be held responsible for his/her actions
- Remember, releasing them of a penalty doesn’t mean there are no consequences.
- It means you are no longer, the judge, jury, and executioner.
- You release that to God — Scripture says that “Vengeance is mine says the Lord”.
-
For example — If someone wrongs you in a way that is outside of the law — Hurt you physically, stole from you, threatened you. — We’re required to forgive them but they still may face consequences.

It doesn’t mean we are required to stay in relationship with the offender
- Forgiveness doesn’t mean you become a doormat or that you can’t stand up for yourself.
3) WHY FORGIVENSS IS NECESSARY:
- It’s non-negotiable. God requires it.
- It is the principle key that paves the way to freedom is all other areas of our lives.
- It breaks the negative spiritual bond between people, releasing both sides into freedom.
- The Bible tells us the consequences of not forgiving are severe.
Are you easily offended? Do you offend others often? Jesus has a lot to say about being offended or causing others to stumble (or be offended). It's a "trap" don't take the bait.
