In a world of fast this and fast that, it’s easy to find yourself complaining when you do get it exactly how you’d like it. Others are doing better, people around you seem ever miserable. Whilst you’re just trying to keep calm and look at the little goodies in life. Yeah… those who say life is easy haven’t truly lived or are walked with closed eyes

Preconceived notions, false accusations, labels placed on you based on what they see. So, how do you navigate through them? Can you even dodge them? It’s hard sometimes when you can’t defend yourself but in those times let your character, integrity and time do the talking for you

Sometimes if feels like because we are supposedly ‘in the same boat’ as someone else that we all should automatically go through the same struggles or experience the same set of problems the same way. But that’s not always the case, in fact more often than not there will be slight to major differences to two people experiencing the same thing. Doesn’t mean we should envy them. I’ve learnt to be grateful in the differences there are somethings others face in the same situation that you might not have too!

We have all had those moments where, we look back on something that happened or was said and cringe 😬 … HoW do you move past that when sometimes it seems like a constant reminder of an experience you’d rather forget?

It’s hard to speak up and stand for yourself when all your life you have been silenced or told to be quiet ‘the grown ups are speaking’. When you have an idea that is beneficial the very thought of voicing it is like scaling Mount Everest and back (*sigh)

What are emotions anyway 😒… nah I’m joking but in a serious note imagine being in a completely different environment to what you’re used to. New life, new way of having to do things and on top of that you don’t even fully understand who you are yet. So being swayed by others is kinda inevitable right?

I know this sounds a bit graphic like… mehnn… But think about it do you ever feel like that sometimes? I know I do more often than not. Like people just dumb their aggression or hurt or misconceptions on me like I’m the bin. Unfortunately in some cases it’s like I can’t defend myself or speak up for fear of being labelled as disrespectful or radical 🥴😒…. So let’s see exactly what life experience I was ‘given’ that brought about this title

At the end of the day you know how much work you’ve put into that day or week. Sometimes people may not see that or understand but only see the times you are relaxing and take it as you are lazy or have nothing better to do. Sometimes you not doing anything is as a result of being over worked but feeling like if you relax people will view you as someone who isn’t driven. So you find yourself in the mindset of need to relax because I’m drained but I’m too tense to enjoy it. I’m here to say (although easier said than done) don’t allow what other people think to dictate how you live.

We've all heard the phrase 'the grass isn't always greener on the other side', but what if we change the narrative to well... 'my grass is greener on the other side. Your side!'. Let's face it sometimes we think well if I could have it like that person it will work for me, I wouldn't have to struggle so much. Or if I had the opportunity/talent they have I could be in a better place. But let's face it we don't always if at all, know what the other person is going through or has had to endure to get to where they are now. Just because it looks rosy from the other side doesn't mean inside is as calm.
