With all this talk about MAGA 'regretting' their votes, I cannot help but think that if Lincoln had properly punished the South rather than believing all this would go away in order to heal the nation, things would be so much different.
As a heard the fabulous digital content creator Leslie Renee (another phenomenal Black woman in my orbit) say, "Guilt is not the work." If we're honest, MAGA cultists not sad. They don't 'regret' anything. They are caught---and caught up in what they thought would catch other people.

I am a proud Black writer, social critic, and podcaster.
I thank all of you...I couldn't have done any of this without all of you.
I was never taught to be ashamed to be Black. My Black is more than struggle and sorrow. My Black is not powered by the opinion of White people, nor the snide remarks of the Black people who hate themselves.
There is joy, love, wealth, and incredible power in being Black, and this needs to be shared to the generations here and coming.
There is reason I sign off this platform by saying 'being Black is lit, and not everybody can be it'. If we see no value in us, who else will?
I am almost 44 years old.
I know how to set up a cell phone, set up a VCR, and I know what a pager codes are. I also have knee pain, teenagers, and a chronic knee pain. And brain fog. And Insomnia.
This WomanHood is dangerous!
I am a product of a 2-parent home with access to public and college education.

Pearl Moore of Francis Marion has the overall women's record with 4,061 points from 1975-79 at the small-college level in the AIAW. Moore had 177 points at Anderson Junior College before enrolling at Francis Marion. This was BEFORE those records were incorporated into the NCAA.

The Battle of Montgomery on August 5, 2023 is a watershed moment in Blackness. It truly is! As HILARIOUS as this is, as needed as it was, it shows that we have more power than what we think, White people gon’ White people, and there is a whole purpose for anger (thank you, Audre Lorde!”). There is a quote from WARNING POEM by Langston Hughes mentioned in this episode as well—read ANYTHING by him. We are now the evidence of our ancestors’ sacrifice and faith—let us not forget that. 🖤🖤

We see how, for the want of the preservation of white women, mediocrity, and other vivid peoples opinions that Angela Bassett did not win best actress at this year‘s Oscars. We also see that a Angel Reese is still seen as the villain in the Cinderella story of the University of Iowa. For this show, it must be reminded to all of you that are listening: Black women don’t owe you nothing.
For this episode I give my reaction to this whole Jonathan Majors situation. It is heartbreaking to me as one who identifies herself as being a patron of the arts, and I support are there in. Well, none of us were there, historically we all were. And that we is… Black people. I was Jonathan every success going forward. And if it is found at this woman was lying on him? It wouldn’t be the first time, a White woman lied on a Black man and cried, would it?
