What have we been up to?
Leaving Mexico to go to Colombia
Fredonia:
We stayed there for about a week, it’s a small town a few hours outside of Medellin, Colombia
We stayed at Finca Naya coffee farm
The most beautiful view and fun farm animals
We loved our housekeeper and chef, Maria
Living in the city of Medellin:
Living close to the town square was so fun
The most fun playground a few blocks away
Every weekend was like a carnival
My kids were obsessed with Frisbee’s restaurant
The nicest people lived in our neighborhood
We met up with another traveling family at the local zoo, Parque de La Conservación
Planning our return to Mexico:
Joining Facebook rental groups
Online/Virtual tours with real estate agents
The cutest Playa hotel: Casa de Las Flores
Life back in Mexico:
We have kittens!
I love our new house and neighborhood.
House: 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, guarded neighborhood, pool, playground
New jobs: online tech support and freelance writing

We currently live in Playa del Carmen, Mexico. We moved here in February of 2021. On this podcast I will share more information about the type of remote work that I do, where we are in the world, and what it's like traveling with kids.

What do I want the kids to gain from traveling abroad as a family?
I was asked this question by a friend and I love it. I have so much to say.
1 I hope they gain time together and adventures as a family.
2 I hope they gain experiences with other cultures
3 I hope they gain language skills
4 I hope they gain the understanding that not every child lives like them
5 I hope they gain empathy for others
6 I hope they gain an appreciation for the natural world
7 I hope they gain once in a lifetime experiences
8 I hope they gain independence
9 I hope they gain a knowledge of travel planning and the ability to live how you want
10 I hope they gain an understanding that the world is a really big place
