Three years ago, Kevin and Charlie sat down and Kevin walked us all through the Scream movie series while Charlie tried to guess the killers. Like everyone else who listened to that episode SURELY did, Charlie then went on to binge the 6 Scream movies in preparation for Scream 7 this spring. Once again, we uphold a Parking Lot the Podcast tradition where Kevin explains a series to Charlie over the span of multiple months of recording sessions. This episode, we have Kevin walk us through Larry David's best show according to Charlie, Curb Your Enthusiasm. As much as we'd all really love the Charlie Games to be some horrifying Hunger Games ordeal, it is instead much less interesting than that (Parking Lot Pitch????). For the last few years, Kevin and Charlie and Chris starting with '24 have done an episode detailing their Top 10 movies of the year. They aren't ranking them in any order other than that these movies are definitively THE BEST. They then go on to talk about all the other movies released that year that they saw. The Top 10 of 2024 was a highlight episode for us, running at about 4 and a half hours, so we were all excited to do 2025's. Maybe a little too excited... Those crazy fools have done it again. For those familiar with the running series Charlie and Kevin have been doing on movies by the decade (starting with the ever important date of their births), they decided that limiting themselves to movies just wasn't good enough. At some dark point in human history, some people decided that you didn't need to put effort into writing original jokes to make a comedy movie. In their opinion, all you had to do was reference pop culture constantly, whether it made sense or not. So we were presented with a formula for the worst movies ever: take the plot of a recent popular movie, insert incredibly dumb characters played by C-list actors, have them fumble through the "plot", and every 10 seconds or so you insert a randomized pop culture reference that no one will care about by the time the movie goes to dvd. It's our opinion that Disaster Movie was the point of no return where parodies devolved into this formula from that point on until pretty much present day. So we re-watched it. And it was bad.

Usually, we pick a movie or franchise and watch it before we do an episode on it and we sometimes even take notes just to better prepare ourselves. This is the opposite. We've come upon the last of the Prequels, everyone's favorite(?) Episode III Revenge of the Sith! This is a big one for us in that its the first time our podcast is actually LONGER than the movie we're talking about. Still not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing... We say goodbye to the Prequel Trilogy and all the associated memes. We'll probably be waiting a little while before diving into the Original Trilogy but who knows.
