Everything you need to know about creating online courses from someone who has created 100's of them.
Accessibility for people with vision impairments is something online course designers, social media content creators, and anybody working in the online content creation space should consider when creating visual content. We often do not take into account that many people have vision-related disabilities including various levels and varieties of blindness including colour blindness.
We should be using a Contrast Checker to check our designs and ensure they meet the WCAG guidelines. This video explains why using a Contrast Checker is important and how to use it.
I highly recommend watching this podcast on Youtube as you will get a visual understanding of how the Colour Checker works and how to use it.

Are you overwhelmed by the sheer volume of course platforms available online? Do you want to find the best platform for your course but don't know where to start? This podcast is for you!
Lisa Listama, Owner and Director of Sparkle E-Learning explains all of this and more in this episode of The Main Course.
Knowing why and how to host a course can be tricky. Not all courses require the same kinds of features available in platforms. Then there are Learning Management Systems - what are those!? Platforms and LMS's house online courses but they are not all created equal.
In this episode, Lisa talks about the difference between LMS's and platforms and dives into the nitty gritty of the following softwares: Moodle, TalentLMS, SAP Litmos, GO1, Accelerate, Kajabi, Teachable, Podia and LearnDash.
By the end of this episode you should have a clearer understanding of what an LMS or platform does and which ones are best for certain customers/functions.
