August 21, 2022 // This week, Sam takes us to Mark 11:12-14, the story of Jesus at the fig tree. What does it look like to bear fruit in and out of season? Jesus modeled a life of bearing fruit under the authority of the Father’s will. This requires knowing when to give our “yes” and when to say “no”. Jesus was restricted by seasons by living as a man, yet obedient in every season.

Defeat begins with believing a lie. Believing a lie opens a door for the enemy. There are three areas of life that we commonly believe lies about and must address...
1) Forgiving others
2) What we say
3) What we think
Satan fabricates evidence to sustain a lie. There's always shreds of truth in a lie to make it believable! But the Holy Spirit, the Spirit of Truth, can expose the false things we've believed.
Jesus said "You shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free." (John 8:32) So, if the truth sets you free, what do lies do? Keep you in bondage.

August 15, 2021 //Although the message of sacrifice, taking up our cross, and self-denial, is not a popular one today, it is part of being citizens of the Kingdom of God. Life by the Spirit means we allow ourselves to be led as captives of Christ. Pastor David breaks down the teachings of the Apostle Paul on this subject in a powerful way. (2 Corinthians 2:14-17)
