Conclusion
Now that you’ve completed the Start Here guided devotional, you might be asking, “What’s Next?” Remember that the Christian life is not a sprint, it’s a marathon. The process of becoming more and more like Jesus is a process that not only takes time but it spans your entire lifetime. The exciting thing about following God is he not only saves us by His grace, but he also has great things in store for us as we continue to grow over time.
Day 21
Because we live in a broken world, there is conflict everywhere. One of the most important skills we have to learn is how to overcome offense and resolve conflict.
Day 20
When we’re committed to unity as a spiritual family, one body with many parts creates a community where people’s lives are changed here and for eternity.
Day 19
Spiritual family is how God establishes His Kingdom in our hearts and our lives. Let’s remember to keep Jesus in front of us and to live our lives as he did, a humble servant and son of God, preferring others over ourselves, because that’s what leadership is all about!
Day 18
After we’ve been saved by Jesus, we take our place in the family. We’ll never be all we were created to be apart from the family of God. We need to accept our part in what God is building through the local Church.
Day 17
Today we’re going to dig into spiritual family and how we can better understand God’s will for His Church.
Day 16
God meets us right where we are, but he loves us too much to keep us there. Get planted, stay planted, and bear fruit.
Day 15
God fulfills that sense of belonging through a relationship with Jesus. That longing in your heart, it’s from God. He is calling you forward; he wants to fulfill the belonging in your heart by bringing you back into His family.
Day 14
The fruits of the Holy Spirit are character traits of being like Christ. Paul talks about the fruits of the spirit in Galatians.
Day 13
Spiritual gifts are one way God equips the Church for the life and work He calls us to. These gifts range from essential for the Christian life to miraculous abilities to the roles and skills necessary for the ongoing ministry of the Church.
Day 12
The Holy Spirit empowers us to walk supernaturally and makes us a conduit of the power and grace of God.
Day 11
Let’s talk about the three ways that the Holy Spirit works in the life of a Christian.
Day 10
The Holy Spirit is always at work in the world. An important characteristic of the Holy Spirit is not just who he is, but what he does. The Holy Spirit is not in our world just to be something. He is here to do something.
Day 9
The Bible says that truth is a person and that person is the Holy Spirit. He’s the one to constantly tell us, at all times, who we really are and, in turn, leads us away from lies and right to His truth.
Day 7
The Gospel means good news. The foundation of your Christian life isn’t the good news about you, but the good news about Jesus. You will discover more of the good news as you continue to learn and grow closer to Jesus.
Day 6
Even after we’ve been saved, why do we still struggle with sin? This is a question many of us have. We’ve been forgiven and made new, so why do we still struggle with past sin patterns?
Day 5
Just like in a natural, physical birth, being born again is the beginning, not the end, of God’s purpose for us. It results in new life, and that new life must grow. We’ve been saved by grace, and now it’s time to decide to live God’s way.
Day 4
When we surrender our lives to Jesus, the Bible tells us that we are made new. New means the old has gone. The old you, you without Christ, is gone, never to be seen again.
Day 3
Today we will be talking more about God’s plan for our lives. We have to know where we are and how we got there to live out God’s plan for us today and in the future.
Day 2
Let’s talk about sin! We don’t often willingly have conversations about sin. It makes most people uncomfortable, and sometimes we judge others because of their sin, but the reality is this: God is perfect. We are not! We’ve all sinned.
Day 1
As you start your journey following Jesus, you have to make three crucial choices. You won’t just say yes once but will continue to answer these questions as you grow closer to Jesus.
