"Everything is super important, until you're sick. Then, you realize there was actually only ever one thing that truly mattered. Your health."
It's been five months since my last episode was published! Can you believe that? I'm back, not better than ever, BUT I'M BACK, and it feels good!
The best thing I've done in these last few months, was to sign up for therapy sessions. I've had three sessions so far, and while it's too soon to see 'results,' it's an amazing, liberating feeling to show up for myself every week. Unfortunately, we can't pay anyone else to do this work for us, we have to do it for ourselves.
So, get rest, find help, take whatever you need, the world can wait!
Life is moving way too fast these days. I find myself wanting to slow down time, I would stop it all together if I could.
You know that saying, "you don't know the value of a moment until it's gone" cliche, i know, but it's so true. Life happens in a blink of an eye.
My daughter graduated 8th grade two weeks ago. I still can't believe it! I had all the emotions, and as I was watching the graduation ceremony unfold, the sweetest memory of my 6th grade teacher came to mind.
Mr. James Sweeney, you changed my life.
This episode is dedicated to you, in your honor.
Many of us struggle with self-care, we see it as something we gotta earn. We think of self-care the way we think of our grocery list, one more to-do. But while self-care can be those big things like getting a facial or a massage, it can also be as simple as taking a nap, making (or buying) a satisfying healthy meal. Self-care is essential for everyone, just as the daily food we eat, the water we drink, the air we breath. If you are struggling with self-care practices, this episode if for you.
What is your fear telling you? There are hidden messages in the fear, listen in. What do you believe about yourself?
