Is the Holy Spirit a person? Some would call Him a force. A personification of goodness. Others would maybe say He is more of an idea. A way to cope with such a chaotic life. The Bible calls Him the third in the Godhead. A person with will, a mind, able to think, hear, and speak. He is Holy for He is God and lives in us as our Helper and Teacher.
One of the best passages that shows our transformation from death to life in Jesus in found in Luke 24:13-35, the road to Emmaus. The two disciples walk with Christ and are brought from a head knowledge to true revelation as they are taught by Jesus. Same is true for any who come to faith in Christ. We are made to believe by Jesus, as He reveals Himself to us.
Ever wonder what that small voice in the back of your mind is? Have you ever did something and then thought, that was not right? What is that and what does the Bible have to say about the conscience of mankind?
The Bible speaks a lot about one's spirit and soul. It also speaks to one's heart and conscience of a man or woman. What are the connections between these? Are there any connections? Are we three parts or five?
When we think about our reality as mankind, we must ultimately ask this question. What is man? Who are we? What did God create when He made us in His image.
The Book of Acts burst into history revealing an outpouring of the Spirit of God like the world has never seen since. As followers of Jesus Christ, we too have His Spirit in us and have been given gifts to edify the body of Christ. We have been giver fruit to bear. What do you have to give to the body?
Jesus is at the start of His ministry. He enters into His home town and reads the scrolls on the Sabbath. Ever wonder why the crowd that day wanted to throw Him of a cliff after that sermon? What did Jesus say that had them praising Him then enraged to see Him? Let's look into Luke 4:16-22 and Leviticus 25 and see what God's Word has to say about this, "favorable day of the Lord".
Joy is one of the most needed things in the life of the believer. What is true joy? Where does it come from? How do I get it back if I've lost it? Lets look into the Word of God and see what He has to say.
