Welcome to "Prayer On Air" where we believe in the power of prayer! This little chat gives a summary of what to expect in upcoming episodes, but also the basis for the formula we will be using to structure some of our episodes for "Prayer On Air."
We want to make sure we are in the right mindset to pray by recognizing God for Who He is and ourselves for who we are. We don't want to just bring a laundry list to God. Prayer should be more like a conversation than mere duty. Future episodes will include:
Worship/Adoration
Praise/Thanksgiving
Confession
Supplication/Specific requests
We base the structure (that includes both traditional "list" prayers and deeper worship, praise, confession times) on verses found in Matthew 6 and Luke 11, commonly known as "The Lord's Prayer."
Listen in to see why "The Lord's Prayer" isn't just something to memorize and quote - it's the formula for a deeper relationship through conversation with God, Our Father!

This episode prompts you to pray that your husband's relationship with God and His Word will bear fruit in his life. That he will be a man of wisdom and understanding, fearing the Lord.
Hopefully this will help you pray for your husband in a deeper more meaningful way than, "Bless his heart." (said with a southern twang, lol)
"For Your Husband" prayer prompts help you to think about areas in which your husband could use specific prayer support. In this episode, we draw from the verses 2 Peter 3:18 and Proverbs 4:23. We prompt you to ask God to help your husband to grow spiritually and consider his accountability before the Lord. That he will guard his heart by developing spiritual disciplines - Bible reading and study, prayer, meditation, Scripture memorization, etc.
