In this episode we have a recording for 2020 we made in Lon's home studio, featuring Lon on electric and acoustic guitar and Jeremy on various synthesizers and iPad apps, especially the Korg monotron and NTS-1. This is an improvisation played live with some backing tracks pre-arranged in the Blocs Wave app on the iPad. At nearly two hours in length, it is a continuous track that is great to just veg out to.
Audio was captured on the Zoom H2 field recorder.

Setup: A very simple early setup ... The Volcas are mixed on the Volca Mix which has an FX sent to the Echo/Delay pedal (so I can put delay just on the modular and or keys). The whole mix is routed through the Strymon BlueSky prior to a single stereo capture on the Zoom H6 (hiding behind the bluesky).

In this episode we have a recording from 2019 we made in Lon’s living room. It is especially nice because Lon plays his violin on part of it and I use some Pocket Operators for synth lead sounds. The Korg Monotron Delay provides some noises on the spacey section as well. Everything was captured on the Zoom H2.

In this episode we present a recording from 2019. Lon and Jeremy set up their gear at the local city park. This time the jam was completely battery powered using a large capacity usb battery. Lon brought his electric guitar and played through an assortment of pedals. Jeremy brought an assortment of synthesizers and devices including, volca keys, bass, and modular, a Bastl Kastle, monotron, and an iPad. Everything was recorded to a Zoom H2.

In this episode we go back to a 2016 recording, performed by Matrix Mirage. Lon and I met at the local Kroger Deli late one night for a mobile jam session. I brought two iPads and Lon brought an iPad and his electric guitar. He ran his guitar through a Line 6 Pocket Pod effects processor and we connected all the equipment into a battery powered compact mixer. We recorded everything to a Zoom H2 audio field recorder and listed to it over headphones. I had a few loops setup for backing tracks using the Blocs Wave app and we just sat there and jammed for about two hours. This episode contains an edited version of that recording. This is a great example of what is possible with a tiny recording set up and a few instruments.
