Musing: Absolute Perfection… January 27, 2022 by SheilaIf there is anything I have learned, it is that there are no perfect people, relationships or situations…
Rather, it is US, our presence, our perspective, our intention and Decision! that makes them perfect.
WE create the perfection, We embody the possibility and potential of what may be deemed ‘perfection.’
No one is ‘perfect’. What is perfect, anyway?
All of that is judgement and dualism. It requires a comparison against some made up, imagined ideal…
What if “it” is perfect, exactly as is?
And because we don’t judge it against something else we believe would be ‘better’, we accept and embrace and live from a state of love…
This may or may not change the circumstances, but it absolutely changes our Experience…
And if we shift our Experience of our experience, lief flows around and through us, without attachment on our part.
And it is experienced as absolute perfection.

Thank you for the pressure by Shelia B
Thank you for the pressure
That helps me to grow
Far beyond what I could see
Or what I’ve ever before known
Though I don’t like to hurt
I will stand through the pain
Letting go of my need for control
Trusting in the gold that I will gain
As I practice the Truth
That I am loved and I’m Enough
That no matter what happens
I can breathe deep and I can trust
That the pain soon will pass
And in its wake I will wind
My stronger, purer self
And a stiller, calmer mind
That once would have panicked
The threat of the hurt
But now can hardly be bothered
Now that I know who I am and all I’m worth
I can withstand the pressure
For it helps me to find
The magnificence of the view
On top of this mountain I find I’ve climbed

The text for today's poem: "My Perfect Song" by Sheila B
When I look inside my mind
It’s like a bully
And quite unkind
It thinks it does its job so right
But leaves me feeling so damned uptight!
It haunts my life
And keeps me guessing
What can I do?
What will stop this fussing??
It frightens my soul
Who backs slowly away
Stops by my heart
Who’s also wishing to come out and play
To play in the rain and play in the dirt
To fall from the tree - who cares if it hurts??
It’s worth living life.
It’s worth climbing trees
Worth risking it all
To fly like a kite on the breeze
I wish I was steady
That my thoughts, they were kind
That I believed more in myself
Love and hope stilling my mind
Learning what love looks like
How it feels when it’s true
Loving myself fully first
Or I’ll never love you
To protect who I am
Learn to trust and be true
Cherish and guard and be sure
I captain my own crew
I’m finally practicing the advice
I’ve so frequently given
To not have to be perfect
Or more perfectly driven
But to give myself space
And the benefit of doubt
That I know what I’m doing
Even if I’m still working it out
Life will come round full circle
And then soon enough
I’ll see I’m exactly on time
Letting go of all kinds of stuff
Finally just holding on
To what truly matters
The strength of my love
When all else is in tatters
So I give to myself
What I once failed to perceive
The love, acceptance and trust
That’s only mine to receive
Receive it, I do
And keep moving along
For I’m finally understanding
I’ve always been capable of singing
my own perfect song
