Welcome to This is Jules podcast where I talk about being vulnerable and how we are all going to be ok.You can find me on Instagram at julia.styrylska
In this episode, I talk about my experience with searching for outside validation of my self-worth and what practices I have started to implement to find it within myself. If you, like me, struggle with anxiety and forget to be kind and gentle to yourself, tune in!
Today I talk about finding joy in the process to achieving your goals, not just the goals themselves. I share my journey through therapy, understanding my emotions and learning how to give myself the validation I needed.
In today's episode, I discuss what it means to live someone's life and how not to fall into a trap of comparing ourselves or feeling behind in life.
In this episode, I talk about sitting with our emotions and how so many of us freak out when we are finally on our own with our thoughts. I talk about understanding what we feel and how we can help ourselves to get back to a good headspace and how the pressure to be productive and not allowing ourselves to just be can lead to even more freak-outs.
Today I discuss happiness, something that should not depend on the end goal, on the amount of money that we have, a title that we hold, the number of likes on social media, or popularity. I talk about the strive to always do or be better. But maybe we are already good enough and can allow ourselves to be happy where we are?
Let's talk about anxiety...again! Today I talk about how anxiety can make us feel guilty, and how many of us feel the need to apologize for having a bad day or needing to vent and share feelings with someone. I talk about how acceptance can help understand that it is completely fine to feel what you feel and how setting the boundaries for self-care is important so that you can be better for your own self and for others.
Today I talk about what has helped me with coping with my anxiety so that it no longer overtakes my life. I talk about how often we judge ourselves and go on with negative self-talk instead of showing some kindness and understanding to our own selves and trying to understand our emotions. Tune in!
Today I talk about how the hurtful beliefs about ourselves, which we create in our minds due to different traumas and negative experiences in our lives can lead to self-sabotage, as we subconsciously might be trying to prove that we are right in thinking negatively about ourselves. I also talk about the fact that we can learn how to observe these thoughts and that we can change our patterns as our past does not determine who we are!
In this episode I talk about how when we are overwhelmed, it is easy for the inner critic to come out and anxiety to cripple back in. I talk about how instead of letting this take control of our mind, we can learn to feel our emotions, be kind to ourselves and accept what we feel. I also mention freaking out about the future and how the past can affect the way we see ourselves and that we CAN change our patterns.
In today's episode, I talk about the importance of stopping and tuning in with your own self, to not compare yourself and not judge, to accept that sometimes anxiety kicks in and that we create our own reality in our head.
Exploring the idea of just being, meditation and that we don't have to be perfect and how being good enough is exactly that - ENOUGH
The end of the year can be tough for us and lead to overthinking and stress. But guess what, you don't have to set a million new plans, and you can learn to observe your thoughts and accept that it's ok to have a bad day, a week, a month or even a year (and I'll be there for you!).
In this episode I talk about struggling with anxiety and that it is a part of being a human and how acceptance, being vulnerable, and being patient can help us.
On normalizing not knowing, not having it all figured out and that life is not a competition and we should focus on what's the best for ourselves and be happy for others' success.
Some of you mentioned that you would like to know a bit more about me and my background. You ask, I deliver. Tune in to a short story of my life and where I am now and how I got here.
In this episode, I talk about pressure to do more, trying to pick up 5 hobbies at the time, and constantly wishing to achieve and why we are enough and worthy already now, exactly the way we are.
A tribute to my friends, on one year anniversary of living in Australia and why it's ok to freak out about being on the other side of the world in times of global pandemic and how we can gain another perspective on it.
