In honor of Women's history Month, Deb and Michelle are telling the story of the Amazon Army of Southeast Kansas.
This Amazon Army was composed of 6,000 Kansas Women representing the coal local coal miners. They threw pepper flakes in the eyes of scabs, and carried American Flags to show their patriotism.
Did anyone else see that there was an alligator carcass found IN KANSAS? That got me curious, so I gathered some information on aligators for this week's wildlife segment.
This week Deb opens the show by chatting about daylight savings time, whose idea was that anyway!? She's hoping that March continues to be docile and doesn't live up to it's namesake The God of War. Deb wraps up by sharing with us just how much she loves her sister AKA the birthday girl!
On this episode of Around Kansas, Deb joins us from the fort Wallace museum see what great events are coming up in the area. Next it's all about the Badger. Then on the front porch, the talented Gabe Walsh is our guests. Then Ron Wilson is honoring the draft horse and it's been two years since Franks passing so today we end with a great story that he did a few years ago about Buffalo Bill.
