In the second round of the playoffs, a rematch ensued between the East Lincoln Mustangs and the Statesville Greyhounds and Statesville was able to keep their undefeated streak alive. A 42-3 win improves their record to 11-0 and they will move on to the 3rd round. East Lincoln struck first with a FG but, after that it was all Statesville. Being stalled out their drives on offense made the stout East Lincoln defense tired and Statesville capitalized with their speedy efficient offense. With this loss, East Lincoln goes back to the drawing board returning every starter on defense and 8 starters on offense. Head Coach Dave Lubowicz made clear that he talked to the underclassmen to let them know that the future is in their hands. Work hard in the summer, strengthen relationships, and play smarter. If they can fulfill those things then the outcome maybe different next season.

Coming off a loss, East Lincoln needed some life if they were going to get past Oak Grove high school and the defense brought that life. The dominate East Lincoln Mustang defense was able to force 7 turnovers as they scrape past Oak Grove 22-14. It was a normal game up until the 4th quarter where East Lincoln, up 22-14, was able to force 3 turnovers that led to the Mustangs running out the rest of the clock. The offense started slow not scoring any touchdowns in the first half but they were able to pick in up in the second half with the short fields they were given. East Lincoln is going to have to start off hotter next week when they have a rematch against the undefeated Statesville Greyhounds in the second round of the playoffs.

North Lincoln Knights were able to find gaps in the dominant rival East Lincoln Mustang defense as they run their way to a win 37-14. East Lincoln was leading at the half 14-10, but two turnovers caused by the Knights defense put the Mustangs in a hole. North Lincoln capitalized on the short fields they were given and pulled away late in the 4th quarter. With this being the last game of the regular season. the Mustangs travel to take on Oak Grove High School in the first round of the playoffs next week.

East Lincoln continues their impressive streak of dominance with another shutout win, this time against North Iredell 42-0. Starting QB Tyler Mizzell was red hot in his second game back with 5 passing TDs to four different teammates of his. Mizzell’s return has helped expand this Mustangs offense to newer heights as they look to continue this streak when they travel to take on their rival, the North Lincoln Knights, next week. A more healthy East Lincoln team with the return of starting QB Tyler Mizzell were able to continue their slight dominance, increasing their win streak to 3 as they easily routed the St. Stephens Indians 42-6. Scoring 28 points in the half, the mustangs were able to get the ground running early completely decimating the indians in the trenches then capitalizing on defense to get the offense a short field. Over 100 yards on penalties for the Mustangs, Coach Lubowicz will be looking to clean that up as they host the North Iredell Raiders.

East Lincoln continues their momentum by delivering another shutout victory against the winless Foard Tigers 57-0 Early on in the game, young guys were able to get reps early and show what they can do just incase an uppercalssmen gets injured and it's next man up. The defense was unstoppable forcing many turnovers and penalties onto the Foard offense. With Foard not being to generate anything on both sides of the ball, East Lincoln dominated. East Lincoln looks to continue their reign of dominance when they host the St.Stephens Indians this upcoming week.

East Lincoln bounces back on a much needed win on the road aganist West Iredell Warriors 45-0. Mustangs went nuclear on Iredell's defense in the first quarter scoring 38 unanswered points. Completey dominating in the trenches, the Mustangs controlled the line of scrimmage scoring 3 TDs on the ground 2 throughn the air. Senior star athlete Keandre walker coming back from a knee injury was able to make plays on both sides of the ball scoring a 3 yard TD pass from Hunter Bolling and scoring a pick six on defense. East Lincoln travels to Foard high school to take on the winless tigers next week.

East Lincoln suffers a tough loss to a fast swarming greyhound defense 23-6 on East Lincoln's homecoming night. Lincoln was without their starter QB and backup so the offense was nonexistent for the Mustangs being outgained 252 to 169. Mustangs defense couldn't get stops on the Greyhounds run game allowing all their TDs on the ground. Mustangs look to bounce back as they travel to West Iredell to take on the Warriors.
East Lincoln was 2 feet away from going 4-0, but a missed game winning field goal drops their record to 3-1. Hickory went for 2 majority of their drives and were able to execute and put a lead on East Lincoln. East Lincoln was able to cut the lead but a missed PAT int the first half might have been the turning point for the Mustangs. Hickory was able to capitalize and made East Lincoln pay for it, winning the game 22-21. East Lincoln hosts the Statesville Greyhounds next week.
It was an impressive battles of the defenses but East Lincoln managed to make more plays on offense to scratch by Lincoln 14-8. Only allowing one score the entire game, East Lincoln stepped up to the challenge. They travel to play Hickory after a well needed bye week.
After a blowout win against Hibriten, East Lincoln doubled down in a win versus the Forestview Jaguars 34-17. Down 10-7 at the half, East Lincoln faced some adversity that had their backs against the wall but they managed to keep their head above water. QB Tyler Mizzell was 13-20 227 yards and 3 TDs as he helped East Lincoln secure their first win of the season. They host their rival, the Lincolnton Wolves, this Friday.
Tyvon Hodge cacthes up with head coach David Lubowicz after his team's dominating win against Hibriten 39-7. Only allowing 1 score the entire game, East Lincoln was firing on all cylinders and didn't lose any momentum along the way. They travel to take on Forestview next week.
East Lincoln defeated Newton-Conover 30-7 at home to finish the season 5-2. The Mustangs defense held the Red Devils to a season low 7 points in a dominating performance.

East Lincoln moved to 4-0 on the year with a 24-20 road victory over Bandys. Lucas McConnell had two receiving touchdowns from quarterback Tyler Mizzell to lead the team offensively. Defensively, Markell Clark sealed the game with a one-handed interception with under a minute left in the ball game.
