It was great to discuss via podcast with Dr. Jayashankar Krishnamurthy, Director of the Vedanta Institute in Hyderabad, India, and Prof. Tim O'Keefe, an expert in Hellenistic philosophies and Epicureanism, at Georgia State University in the USA. We reflected on the analogies and differences between Vedanta philosophy and Epicureanism. It's interesting to note the similarities in terms of the emphasis on the role of intellect in transcending desires and worldly attachments. The role of friendship is fundamental in Epicureanism, as it is in Vedanta through the concept of Sajjanasaṅgati, or union with the virtuous. Prof. O'Keefe explained the basic principles of Epicureanism, dispelling certain contemporary misconceptions that identify it as a form of hedonism propagated by isolated individuals, thus detached from society. Pleasure is essentially identified as the absence of pain, and inner peace (ataraxia) derived from worldly attachments, rather than a pursuit of material satisfaction. On the other hand, Dr Krishnamurthy introduced Vedanta as a philosophy that lives and permeates society, which empowers the individual and does not view them solely as a yogi meditating in the caves of the Himalayas, as the stereotypes about India often depict. Undoubtedly, there are metaphysical divergences between Vedanta and Epicureanism, where the Vedantic view of Brahman, Atman, and reality as an illusion (Maya) contrasts with the Epicurean universe composed of atoms and void, and the notion of the soul as a material and mortal element. According to Advaita Vedanta, Brahman and Atman are considered identical. Brahman represents the absolute, supreme and transcendent reality, while Atman is the individual, the inner essence of every being. The perspective of Advaita Vedanta maintains that the distinction between Brahman and Atman is illusory and that, in reality, they are the same fundamental reality. The analogy between the Epicurean notion of cultivating a stock of positive memories to be used during negative moments in life and the pratipakṣa bhavana technique in Vedanta is interesting. It leads to a more peaceful and balanced state of mind. Pratipakṣa Bhavana involves cultivating a thought or attitude opposite to the negative thoughts or emotions that arise in our mind. Of course, the podcast did not aim to cover all possible points of contact and divergence between Vedanta and Epicureanism, but I am certain that it will provide you with numerous points for reflection, as it did for me. Let me conclude with two quotes, one from the Vedas and one from Epicurus, on detachment from worldly pleasures.
"One who is not disturbed in mind even amidst the threefold miseries or elated when there is happiness, and who is free from attachment, fear and anger, is called a sage of steady mind."
(Bhagavad Gita, 2.56)
"It is impossible to live well without living sensibly, nobly and justly; and it is impossible to live sensibly, nobly and justly without living pleasantly."
(Epicurus, Letter to Menoeceus)

Podcast with Jayashankar Krishnamurthy, Director of the Vedanta Institute of Hyderabad, India.
Topic: Learn, Unlearn, Relearn.
"The illiterate of the 21st century will not be those who cannot read and write, but those who cannot learn, unlearn, and relearn." - Alvin Toffler
Learning is an enjoyable experience when we pursue topics that genuinely interest us. Each day, we gain new insights and knowledge, though some subjects require more time and effort to master. However, the real challenge for people lies in unlearning - letting go of ingrained beliefs and habitual behaviors to make room for new ones.
Unlearning is like scraping off the old paint before applying a fresh coat or clearing land to prepare the soil for new plants. The cycle of learning, unlearning, and relearning is crucial for personal growth and progress. Unlearning liberates us from harmful assumptions and negative patterns of behavior. It necessitates time and introspection. People encounter this process when transitioning to new life stages or work settings. Unlearning allows us to break free from outdated paradigms and embrace new possibilities.
In new environments, people have opportunities to explore, interact, and pursue their interests. As old assumptions crumble, creativity, critical thinking, and curiosity blossom. Unlearning is key to igniting our minds and unleashing human potential.
The Vedanta philosophy emphasizes that our true self (Atman) is infinite and beyond any limiting beliefs or identities. By recognizing our true nature as limitless consciousness, we can release rigid attachments to beliefs and remain open to new ideas. Vedanta teaches that the self is the impartial witness, unchanged amidst the ever-changing world. By abiding as a witness, we can adapt to change with an open and receptive mind.
The "neti neti" principle encourages us to negate the limiting attributes of the world to realize our true selves. This helps us let go of preconceptions and cultivate a beginner's mind. When we reject identifying with the impermanent attributes of the body, mind, and world, we remain as open, infinite consciousness - the true self. This allows for a fresh start and new beginnings.
Vedanta highlights the impermanence of the world, mind, and body. Everything in the manifested world is constantly changing. When we recognize this truth, we understand there are no rigid beliefs or ideas to cling to. We see that everything is relative and subject to change. This fosters humility, adaptability, and a willingness to release assumptions - essential qualities for continuous learning and growth.
Alvin Toffler's statement holds true: in the future, illiteracy won't result from an inability to read or write but from an inability to learn, unlearn, and relearn. So let's embrace the power of unlearning and embark on a transformative journey of relearning, growth, and new discoveries.

My E-book about Kindness on Google Books (in English): https://play.google.com/store/books/details/Cristiano_Luchini_Kindness_days?id=1Bq1EAAAQBAJ I like to call the short stories in the "Kindness days", colourful snapshots of the imagination; small stories imbued with spirituality, emotion and love, accompanied by beautiful illustrations by artists from five continents and as many as 14 countries: Zimbabwe, Albania , Argentina, Palestine, South Africa, South Korea, Thailand, Iran, Syria, Latvia, Poland, Ukraine, New Zealand and Guatemala.
How to stop living by expectations thanks to Vedanta teachings . Guest: Jayashankar Krishnamurthy, Vedanta Institute of Hyderabad, India.
The philosophy of Vedanta offers valuable insights on how to avoid expectations and illusions in everyday life. In Vedanta, it is believed that our thoughts and actions are influenced by our past experiences, which can create expectations and illusions about the future. Pratipakṣa Bhavana is a practice that helps us overcome these tendencies and cultivate a more peaceful and balanced mental state.
Pratipakṣa Bhavana consists of cultivating a thought or attitude opposite to the negative thoughts or emotions that arise in our mind. For example, if we feel jealous towards someone, we can cultivate a positive thought or attitude towards that person instead of remaining focused on our negative emotions. This practice helps us develop a more balanced and detached perspective on life, allowing us to respond to situations with greater clarity and wisdom.
To avoid expectations and illusions, it is also important to recognize the impermanence of all things. Vedanta teaches us that everything in the universe is subject to change and that attachment to material things and results can lead to suffering. By accepting the impermanence of life, we can free ourselves from the grip of expectations and illusions and live with greater peace and contentment.
Exploring Jigyasu Bhava for Self-Discovery and Spiritual Growth.
Jigyasu Bhava is a Vedanta concept referring to the attitude of a seeker or an inquiring mind that is eager to learn and discover the truth about oneself and the universe. This attitude is essential for spiritual growth and self-discovery. Jigyasu Bhava implies questioning and contemplating the nature of reality and the Self. It encourages us to seek knowledge from reliable sources and reflect on our experiences to gain a deeper understanding of ourselves and the world around us. By cultivating Jigyasu Bhava, we can free ourselves from our limited perspectives and expand our consciousness.

Guest: Jayashankar Krishnamurthy, Vedanta Institute of Hyderabad, India.Iron ball is black in colour and cold to the touch; fire is golden in colour and hot. The colour and the heat of fire penetrate the iron ball when it comes in contact with the fire for a sufficiently long time. So too, when inert and insentient matter is presided over by the Spirit, the Sat-Cit-Ᾱnanda nature of the Spirit gets transferred on to the matter.1. In Vedanta, what is the significance of the contrast between the black, cold iron ball and the golden, hot fire in the context of understanding the transfer of the Sat-Cit-Ananda nature of the Spirit onto inert matter? 2. Can you explain further how the Sat-Cit-Ananda nature of the Spirit gets transferred onto inert matter when it is presided over by the Spirit? Originating from the idea of emptiness or space, "Ma" permeates various forms of art in Korea, including music, painting, poetry, and dance. In this article, we will explore the role of "Ma" in Korean art and culture, its significance, and how it reflects the values of Korean society. The philosophical foundation of "Ma".The philosophy of "Ma" is deeply rooted in Korean culture, drawing from Buddhist, Confucian, and Taoist thought. At its core, "Ma" represents the idea that emptiness is not an absence or lack of something, but rather a presence that can be utilized to create emotional tension, balance, and harmony. This concept is closely related to the Korean belief in the interconnectedness of all things and the importance of finding equilibrium in life.- Here my short stories about Kindness (I giorni della gentilezza- Paperback - Italian version)- tinyurl.com/3vfud2c9- Here my book Learn Māori Culture and Proverbs (Paperback)tinyurl.com/6zmvz9tt - Version with Full Color Images - www.amazon.com/Learn-M%C4%81ori-…1621334435&sr=8-3 - Poster Maramataka: tinyurl.com/pht4easb- Here is my book dedicated to Lo-Fi Music (ebook and paperback), tinyurl.com/r2d69dyb - on Amazon USA, UK, INDIA, JAPAN, GERMANY, BRAZIL and other countries.- Here is my book with illustrated philosophical short stories (ebook and paperback), tinyurl.com/rpcd5c - on Amazon USA, UK, INDIA, JAPAN, GERMANY, BRAZIL and other countries.- Here is my book Black Book Note www.amazon.com/BLACK-BOOK-NOTE-i…32&s=books&sr=1-1- Here is my journal dedicated to the great Italian poet Dante Alighieri tinyurl.com/42rt7jjh.- E-book and Video on www.lofimusic.it.- Here is my fashion brand dedicated to Spirituality, https://www.redbubble.com/people/Mantra-tshirt/shop

How do the teachings of the Mahavkyas and Neti Neti complement each other in Vedanta philosophy?Mahavakyas are sacred statements or great sayings from the Upanishads, which are Hindu philosophical texts. They are meant to convey the ultimate truth or reality about the universe and the individual's relationship with it."Neti neti" is a Sanskrit phrase that means "not this, not this." It is a way of negating all concepts and attributes in order to arrive at the ultimate truth, which is beyond any description or definition. Sankhya philosophy and Vedanta have some similarities and differences. Sankhya philosophy is based on the idea of duality and the relationship between consciousness and matter. It explains that the universe is made up of two fundamental realities: Purusha (consciousness) and Prakriti (matter), and that the goal of life is to achieve liberation from the cycle of birth and death by realizing the difference between the two.In contrast, Vedanta teaches that the ultimate reality of the universe is non-dual and that everything is a manifestation of Brahman, the ultimate reality or consciousness. It emphasizes the unity of all beings, and the goal of life is to realize this unity and achieve liberation from the cycle of birth and death.Despite these differences, Sankhya philosophy and Vedanta share some common principles. For example, both schools recognize the existence of an individual self or soul (Atman in Vedanta and Purusha in Sankhya), and both emphasize the importance of self-realization and spiritual liberation.Swami Vivekananda believed that by combining the practical aspects of both Sankhya and Vedanta, one can achieve a more comprehensive understanding of spirituality and its practical application in daily life. Thus, he incorporated Sankhya philosophy into his book "Practical Vedanta" to provide a practical approach to spiritual development that incorporates both schools of thought. In what ways can the practice of Vedanta help us to access the subtle sensory essences that proliferate in the emptiness of Sankhya philosophy and to hear the "voice of intuition" that speaks through silence? Can you explain how the teachings of Sankhya philosophy can help us to better understand the relationship between the subtle sensory essences that pullulate in the emptiness and the proliferation of words in the silence of Vedanta? Can you provide an example of how the proliferation of words in the silence of Vedanta and the subtle sensory essences in the emptiness can be accessed in our daily lives through the practice of Vedanta?

They are averse to any form of effort, or exertion. They want an easy way to divinity. And look for shortcuts to Godhood. This is a grave mistake. Do not fall prey to it. You must methodically follow the procedure of shravana, manana and nididhyasana to get rid of your ignorance. You would then gain spiritual Enlightenment."(Swami Parthasarathy - Vedanta Treatise - The Eternities)Join my Facebook Group Meditation Mindfulness Yoga Mantra www.facebook.com/groups/642191676459430- Here my short stories about Kindness (I giorni della gentilezza- Paperback - Italian version)- tinyurl.com/3vfud2c9- Here my book Learn Māori Culture and Proverbs (Paperback)tinyurl.com/6zmvz9tt - Version with Full Color Images - www.amazon.com/Learn-M%C4%81ori-…1621334435&sr=8-3 - Poster Maramataka: tinyurl.com/pht4easb- Here is my book dedicated to Lo-Fi Music (ebook and paperback), tinyurl.com/r2d69dyb - on Amazon USA, UK, INDIA, JAPAN, GERMANY, BRAZIL and other countries.- Here is my book with illustrated philosophical short stories (ebook and paperback), tinyurl.com/rpcd5c - on Amazon USA, UK, INDIA, JAPAN, GERMANY, BRAZIL and other countries.- Here is my book Black Book Note www.amazon.com/BLACK-BOOK-NOTE-i…32&s=books&sr=1-1- Here is my journal dedicated to the great Italian poet Dante Alighieri tinyurl.com/42rt7jjh.- E-book and Video on www.lofimusic.it.- Here is my fashion brand dedicated to Spirituality, https://www.redbubble.com/people/Mantra-tshirt/shop

It is a profound expression of the Advaita Vedanta philosophy, which teaches that the Self is not different from the Absolute, the ultimate reality that is beyond all names and forms. In six short verses, Adi Shankaracharya unveils the nature of the Self, inviting the seeker to turn inward and discover the true nature of their being. He declares, "I am not the mind, nor the intellect, nor the ego, nor the chitta (memory), nor the senses, nor the body. I am not even the five elements that make up the universe. I am the pure consciousness, the witness of all that is."Through these powerful words, Adi Shankaracharya invites us to let go of our identification with the body and mind, and to realize our true identity as the eternal Self. He reminds us that we are not limited by our physical form, our thoughts, or our emotions, but that we are infinite, timeless, and boundless.Atma Shatakam is a timeless hymn that continues to inspire seekers on the path of self-realization. It reminds us that the ultimate truth is not something to be found outside of ourselves, but rather something to be realized within. It is an invitation to turn inward and discover the true nature of our being, to awaken to the divinity that is already present within us.So let us take the words of Adi Shankaracharya to heart, and let them guide us on our journey towards self-realization. Let us remember that we are not separate from the ultimate reality, but rather that we are a manifestation of it. And let us embrace the truth of our own being, that we are infinite, eternal, and divine.- Here my short stories about Kindness (I giorni della gentilezza- Paperback - Italian version)- tinyurl.com/3vfud2c9- Here my book Learn Māori Culture and Proverbs (Paperback)tinyurl.com/6zmvz9tt - Version with Full Color Images - www.amazon.com/Learn-M%C4%81ori-…1621334435&sr=8-3 - Poster Maramataka: tinyurl.com/pht4easb- Here is my book dedicated to Lo-Fi Music (ebook and paperback), tinyurl.com/r2d69dyb - on Amazon USA, UK, INDIA, JAPAN, GERMANY, BRAZIL and other countries.- Here is my book with illustrated philosophical short stories (ebook and paperback), tinyurl.com/rpcd5c - on Amazon USA, UK, INDIA, JAPAN, GERMANY, BRAZIL and other countries.- Here is my book Black Book Note www.amazon.com/BLACK-BOOK-NOTE-i…32&s=books&sr=1-1- Here is my journal dedicated to the great Italian poet Dante Alighieri tinyurl.com/42rt7jjh.- E-book and Video on www.lofimusic.it.- Here is my fashion brand dedicated to Spirituality, https://www.redbubble.com/people/Mantra-tshirt/shop

We began by discussing what the inner feminine represents in Vedanta philosophy. Saritha explained that the inner feminine is not just about gender, but rather, it represents the qualities of compassion, empathy, love, and nurturing that are present in all of us, regardless of our physical gender. She went on to say that the inner feminine is an important aspect of our being, as it helps us to connect with others and the world around us on a deeper level.Saritha shared her Vedantic perspective about the film "Avatar 2 - The Way of Water." She highlighted the emphasis placed on the importance of the feminine in the story. The film features female characters who embody qualities such as compassion, integration, following one's nature, kindness, motherhood, and gentleness. These characters serve as powerful examples of the depth and significance of the inner feminine in our lives.Website: https://www.wiseveganlife.comFree Booklet: https://wiseveganlife.com/free-booklet/Join my Facebook Group Meditation Mindfulness Yoga Mantra www.facebook.com/groups/642191676459430- Here my short stories about Kindness (I giorni della gentilezza- Paperback - Italian version)- tinyurl.com/3vfud2c9- Here my book Learn Māori Culture and Proverbs (Paperback)tinyurl.com/6zmvz9tt - Version with Full Color Images - www.amazon.com/Learn-M%C4%81ori-…1621334435&sr=8-3 - Poster Maramataka: tinyurl.com/pht4easb- Here is my book dedicated to Lo-Fi Music (ebook and paperback), tinyurl.com/r2d69dyb - on Amazon USA, UK, INDIA, JAPAN, GERMANY, BRAZIL and other countries.- Here is my book with illustrated philosophical short stories (ebook and paperback), tinyurl.com/rpcd5c - on Amazon USA, UK, INDIA, JAPAN, GERMANY, BRAZIL and other countries.- Here is my book Black Book Note www.amazon.com/BLACK-BOOK-NOTE-i…32&s=books&sr=1-1- Here is my journal dedicated to the great Italian poet Dante Alighieri tinyurl.com/42rt7jjh.- E-book and Video on www.lofimusic.it.- Here is my fashion brand dedicated to Spirituality, https://www.redbubble.com/people/Mantra-tshirt/shop

Let's shake hands!Guest 1: Mark Mathabane, writer and Ubuntu Philosophy expert, author of the book "The Lessons of Ubuntu: How an African Philosophy Can Inspire Racial Healing in America" . Book on Amazon: https://tinyurl.com/bdz68jx7Guest 2: S.A. Shreedaran, Vedanta teacher, disciple of the eminent Vedanta Philosopher Swami Parthasarathy and founder of Mind & Intellect organization - https://mindandintellect.org/.Both Ubuntu and Vedanta are spiritual and ethical philosophies that originate from different parts of the world and have different cultural origins. However, there are certain similarities between the two that are really interesting:For one, both Ubuntu and Vedanta place a strong emphasis on the idea of interdependence and the interconnectedness of all beings. Ubuntu stresses the idea that individuals are connected and that the well-being of each person is dependent on the well-being of the community as a whole. Vedanta similarly emphasizes the idea that the individual self (atman) is ultimately identical to the ultimate reality and ultimate consciousness (brahman), suggesting that all beings are interconnected and connected to an ultimate reality. Both also have strong emphasis on ethical and moral conduct. Ubuntu stresses the importance of respect, compassion and mutual responsibility while Vedanta emphasizes the importance of ethical and moral conduct as a means to achieving spiritual liberation.Additionally, both Ubuntu and Vedanta highlight the idea of self-realization or the attainment of a deeper understanding of oneself and one's place in the world. Ubuntu encourages individuals to act humanely, with empathy and compassion, while Vedanta emphasizes the idea that the goal of spiritual practice is to see through the illusion of the world as being separate from ultimate reality and to realize the identity of the self with that ultimate reality.Join my Facebook Group Meditation Mindfulness Yoga Mantra www.facebook.com/groups/642191676459430- Here my short stories about Kindness (I giorni della gentilezza- Paperback - Italian version)- tinyurl.com/3vfud2c9- Here my book Learn Māori Culture and Proverbs (Paperback)tinyurl.com/6zmvz9tt - Version with Full Color Images - www.amazon.com/Learn-M%C4%81ori-…1621334435&sr=8-3 - Poster Maramataka: tinyurl.com/pht4easb- Here is my book dedicated to Lo-Fi Music (ebook and paperback), tinyurl.com/r2d69dyb - on Amazon USA, UK, INDIA, JAPAN, GERMANY, BRAZIL and other countries.- Here is my book with illustrated philosophical short stories (ebook and paperback), tinyurl.com/rpcd5c - on Amazon USA, UK, INDIA, JAPAN, GERMANY, BRAZIL and other countries.- Here is my book Black Book Note www.amazon.com/BLACK-BOOK-NOTE-i…32&s=books&sr=1-1- Here is my journal dedicated to the great Italian poet Dante Alighieri tinyurl.com/42rt7jjh.- Here is my fashion brand dedicated to Spirituality, https://www.redbubble.com/people/Mantra-tshirt/shop

The main exposition of his philosophical thinking is A Philosophy of the Unsayable (2014), a book which dwells on the limits of language in order to open thought to the inconceivable. On this basis, the discourses of myth, mysticism, metaphysics, and the arts take on new and previously unsuspected types of meaning. Franke holds degrees in philosophy and theology from Williams College and Oxford University and in comparative literature from UC Berkeley and Stanford (PhD 1991). He lectures and teaches in English, German, French, and Italian. He is a member of "HolyLit: Religion and Literature," of the Freie Universität Berlin and Harvard University and has been a member of the Dante Society Executive Council by the general election of the Dante Society of America. Franke's philosophical work intertwines with his production as a theorist in comparative literature. His interdisciplinary approach focuses on Dante’s Divine Comedy read as a theological revelation in poetic language. Jayashankar Krishnamurty: A senior disciple of Swami Parthasarathy, is a graduate of science from the University of Madras and a postgraduate in Packaging Technology from Mumbai. He had a distinguished corporate career. Seeking answers to questions pertaining to life and living he sought the guidance of his guru and spent four years full-time at Vedanta Academy. For over two decades he has been researching and propagating the knowledge of Vedanta, in Telangana State, through Swamiji’s publications. He is the Executive Trustee of Vedanta Institute Hyderabad, a Charitable Trust registered in Telangana (Formerly Andhra Pradesh). Divine Comedy and Bhagavad Gita. Two extraordinary works. The first dates back to 1300 AD and the other probably to 10,000 BC but united by numerous aspects. One above all: the earthly path towards the divine, the evolution of the two protagonists, Arjuna and Dante, in the direction of love. This is thanks to the wisdom and support of two extraordinary guides: Krishna in the Bhagavad Gita and Virgil in the Divine Comedy. The "dialogue" that exists between these extraordinary works of the perennial philosophy, thousands of years and miles apart, is incredible. The two great protagonists Dante and Arjuna are two great personalities, one Prior of the very rich city of Florence, the other an important warrior prince of the Pandavas. Dante and Arjuna receive teachings to be practically experienced through love. They will discover that everything is driven by love and that it will always save us even in the darkest moments of our lives. Love will always win over darkness. In each, during their respective inner journeys, the concepts of justice, peace, freedom, dharma, of doing one's duty for the benefit of all are instilled. Dante and Arjuna in dismay prepare for war and struggle to emerge from the darkness of consciousness and enter the light.

People do not want to study or listen to lectures. Much less wish to reflect or contemplate. They are averse to any form of effort, or exertion. They want an easy way to divinity. And look for shortcuts to Godhood. This is a grave mistake. Do not fall prey to it. You must methodically follow the procedure of shravana, manana and nididhyasana to get rid of your ignorance. Topic: Discussing on Vedanta , Ahimsa (non-violence), in the Bible (Plagues of Egypt) and the Bhagavad Gita. Guest: the Vedanta teacher S. A. Shreedaran, founder of Mind and Intellect Organization.
Ahimsa (non-injury) in its spiritual scope means never having cruel intentions. Non-injury is the spirit that should dominate all our motivations. Our intentions should not be polluted by even a trace of cruelty or hatred. Non-injury is not so much about never causing physical injury to any being as it is about never contemplating harming any living creature. Physically, not hurting is impossible. In order to continue living, some kind of physical harm is unavoidable. However, even if we create unavoidable disturbances around us, if our motives are pure and clean, the harm thus caused is not considered an injury.
To best understand in concept of Ahimsa, one must read carefully this story from the Sufi Tradition:
"A Sufi soldier was in the middle of a battle. It was a hand-to-hand combat. He skillfully fought the enemy with his dagger. He soon knocked the enemy to the ground and sat astride his chest, raising his hand to drop the dagger. The enemy, in his helpless rage, spat in the face of the Sufi soldier. The Sufi soldier's hand remained suspended in mid-stride and did not strike. "What are you waiting for?" said the fallen enemy. "I am totally under your power. Go ahead, kill me!" The Sufi soldier replied: "I can't. I was doing my duty and you were doing yours. I don't know you and you don't know me. Now you introduced a personal note by spitting at me in anger and I got angry. Now killing you will not be an act of duty, but murder."
What Arjuna is taught in the Bhagavad Gita is the essence of all Eastern martial arts, where one is trained to strike the opponent, but within oneself one remains in the center of stillness. They are told to kill but not to not commit murder. This is ahimsa on the battlefield. This is the resolution of the Bhagavad Gita's "koan" of nonviolence.
What Pharaoh is to learn from the plagues is not just that God can send them, but that he removes them completely when asked (8:14-15 [10-11]; 9:29) and that he exempts his people from them (8:22-23 [18-19]; 11:7). Combining this with the fact that God starts with lesser plagues (or signs) and only moves to more destructive plagues shows a God who uses power far more carefully than Pharaoh does. He has sustained Pharaoh and Egypt to show them (and the world) that he is a different master to Pharaoh. This is even clearer for Israel. The exodus is not freedom in the sense of autonomy but rather a change of masters (‘Let my people go so that they may serve me’). Pharaoh’s mastery leads to suffering and death. God’s mastery leads to life in all its fullness (6:6-8).

"The environment you are born and live in has quite an influence on your life and living. It is known as mahat in Sanskrit." (Swami Parthasarathy - The Holocaust of attachment")
Ex-manager, then a conservative politician and millionaire. That, in a nutshell, is the profile of the UK's new prime minister, Rishi Sunak, the king's richest first Downing Street tenant.
The new prime minister and his wife possess a combined fortune of 730 million sterling. The 42-year-old newly appointed prime minister, of Indian descent and Hindu faith, studied philosophy, politics and economics at Oxford. Topic: Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, young football (soccer) champion of SSC Napoli, between literature and philosophy. Guest, the Vedanta teacher S.A. Shreedaran of Mind and Intellect Organization. For me, this young talent is the human representation of Grigol Robakidze's book The Snake's Skin.
Here the article: https://tinyurl.com/pw3mt6mt
Without forcing analogies, I like to think that the young Khvicha Kvaratskhelia who has arrived in Italy as an illustrious stranger, from a country like Georgia that is generally little known but rich in culture and traditions, is the human representation of Robakidze's book The Snake's Skin; a man travelling from distant (but ever closer) Eastern Europe, who sees himself in the astonished eyes of the people of Naples, in a new, exotic, classically ancient, Spanish and Oriental land, who has already begun to love him. A man who does not have to set aside his past, but who must get rid of the evocative one of the 'last of the class, half-known and mistreated', referring to his Georgia for years under the yoke of the Soviet Union. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, just like the snake often evoked in Robakidze's book, is changing skin, and rather quickly. A soft, scaly skin, characterised by numerous patterns, which seem to be representative of the endless imagination of the Georgian footballer with the ball between his feet. And so run boy, continue on your way, be strong, be free, simply be... Kvicha. - Join my Facebook Group Meditation Mindfulness Yoga Mantra www.facebook.com/groups/642191676459430

Vanamali Mataji is a contemporary Hindu contemplative, teacher, and author. She lives in a small ashram in Rishikesh, an ancient place of pilgrimage in the foothills of India's holy Himalayas. This new series of episodes on Cosmic Dancer podcast channel, aims to disseminate the theoretical teachings of Vedanta philosophy, (dating back nearly 7,000 years), through the practical experiences of daily life. This is through the involvement of guests from the world of music, art, literature, science, etc...
Vedanta is not a religion. Vedanta is a philosophy, the Mother of all world philosophies and religions. The Bhagavad Gita is the most representative text of Vedanta, one of the most widely read books ever. We celebrate the teachings of the eminent philosopher Swami Parthasarathy (he is 96 years old) who founded the organization Vedanta Global, and who has authored numerous best sellers including Vedanta Treatise - The Eternities and the invaluable commentary on the Bhagavad Gita.
Topic: Analyizing a beautiful thought by the great Vedanta Master Swami Vivekananda, thanks to the help of S A Shreedan, Vedanta Teacher, Founder of Mind and Intellect Organization - https://mindandintellect.org/.
"Only by falling into the sea can the wave become infinite as a wave can never be. Then after it has become the sea it can become the wave again and as big as it likes. Stop identifying yourself with the current and know that you are free. "

Topic: Discussing Vedanta , MMA (Mixed Martial Arts) and Ahimsa (non-violence), quoting the Bhagavad Gita, with strong Italian fighter of Albanian descent, Leon Aliu.
MMA is a combat sport that takes its name from the English acronym Mixed Martial Arts, which means mixed martial arts. It is a discipline in which the two combatants can use any technique possible to defeat each other and which fuses the movements of Judo, karate, Muay Thai, boxing, wrestling, grappling and kickboxing.
Leon Aliu is a strong MMA fighter of Albanian descent who lives and trains in Reggio Emilia with the coach Alessandro Iacono, is coming off a major win in the main event of Cage Warriors 138. There, the middleweight put on a masterful performance by knocking out James Webb in less than two minutes in front of his home crowd.
Such a victory drew interest in Aliu and UFC - Ultimate Fighting Championship president Dana White decided to provide him with the chance of a lifetime. He will have an important fight to face in Las Vegas next September 20 against Brazilian fighter Bruno Ferreira.
A Sufi soldier was in the middle of a battle.

Vedanta, Metaverse and Intellect. Metaverse is a virtual-reality space in which users can interact with a computer-generated environment and other users. Could a Metaverse be a tool of knowledge, known factor, useful in knowing what is unknown? According to Vedanta's most representative text, the Bhagavad Gita, known factors alone can describe an unknown factor. Could Metaverse be a great opportunity for our intellect, useful for understanding the concept of Maya (illusory reality in which we live and that we consider reality), liquefying the Ego in the infinite virtual amnion?
Whatever you approach in life, be it the Metaverse, sports, philosophy, art, spirituality, do it using your own intellect, without passively inheriting pre-packaged concepts worked out by other people. Intellect is not "copy and paste".
I spoke about Vedanta, Metaverse and Intellect with Jayashankar Krishnamurty and Nova Lorraine. Jayashankar, Vedanta teacher, is a disciple of the eminent Vedanta Philosopher Swami Parthasarathy and Director of the Vedanta Institute of Hyderabad, India.
Nova is a multifaceted professional in the field of communication. She is an expert and explorer of the Metaverse: "I am a poet and a lover of language. I am intrigued by the power of communication, may it be through the written word, textiles, color, shape, or music. Due to my academic training, I understand that we each take in environmental cues differently. We also develop individual languages to express ourselves to our tribe, industry, or culture. Knowing this, I enjoy shaping stories to fit multiple mediums while creating impact strategies based on the principals of design and psychology."
Preamble:
"The faculty to think, to reason is a human prerogative. All other beings lack this faculty since they do not possess an intellect. The intellect renders a human being the chef d’œuvre of creation. But the world is unaware of this unique status. And people do not care to develop this life- saving, life-sustaining, life-surpassing equipment, the intellect. Also you fail to realise that thinking, reasoning is skilled work. That you need to learn and practise. Like playing the violin or golf. You believe that thinking is a natural process like seeing, hearing or breathing. That you can think clearly, precisely without putting in the necessary effort on your part. You must understand that to develop the faculty of thinking, reasoning you need to devote as much time and effort to it as you would to learning any other art or skill."

Preamble:
Bhagavad Gita commented by Swami Parthasarathy
Chapter 11: The Yoga of Vision of the Cosmic Form
"Struck with wonder by the colossal vision of the Lord, Arjuna finds himself speechless. He salutes Him on all sides. Arjuna describes God as ‘All’ with infinite power and infinite strength, pervading everywhere. But the human intellect fails to comprehend this description since it cannot conceive infinity. Yet, Arjuna uses these terms liberally. He neither understands God himself nor do others understand God through his description. The reason being that knowledge proceeds from the known to the unknown. Known factors alone can describe an unknown factor. Any number of unknown factors cannot help one understand the unknown. God is unknown. Infinity also is unknown. To describe the unknown God with unknown infinite terms is like the blind leading the blind. In striking contrast to Arjuna’s description of God, the ṛṣi (sage) in the Kenopaniṣad uses known factors such as eyes, ears and mind to describe God. He indicates God as the Seer in the eye. Hearer in the ear. Feeler in the mind. These known factors aid a seeker’s contemplation. A pragmatic approach to God. Arjuna is unaware of the fundamental principle of education that knowledge proceeds from the known to the unknown. He, therefore, speaks of God eloquently in infinite terms."

A couple of days ago I found an article about how snowflakes are unique and all different. This fact that snowflakes have "infinite faces" reminded me to Chapter 11 of Bhagavad Gita in which Krishna reveals his cosmic form(Vishwarup) to Arjun. Arjun sees the entire creation in the body of the God of gods with unlimited arms, faces, and stomachs. It has no beginning or end and extends immeasurably in all directions. His radiance is similar to a thousand suns blazing together in the sky
Scientists say the chances of two snowflakes being exactly alike are about 1 in 1 million trillion. That’s a one followed by 18 zeros, so it’s very unlikely! Meteorologists think there are 1 trillion, trillion, trillion (a one with 36 zeros!) types of snowflakes.
A snowflake has three basic ingredients: ice crystals, water vapor, and dust. The ice crystals form as water vapor freezes on a tiny piece of dust. The dust particles come from many places. It could be from flower pollen, volcanic ash, or even meteors.
"Viśvatomukham means ‘with faces on all sides’. A poetic expression used in the śāstras (scripture) to indicate the all-pervading nature of God.
"He who recognises the supreme Self in the manifold beings is endowed with Jñānacakṣu, Eye of Wisdom. With this divine eye he perceives the Supreme."

Over the past few days I have been working on a tourism report among nature, relaxation and wellness in the beautiful Molise region of Italy. The work will be published soon at www.crono.news.
After visiting the Lake of Castel San Vincenzo - in Molise region - Italy, in an enchanting setting that has nothing to envy Lake Tiberias in Galilee, it was thrilling to drive to the Valle Fiorita Plateau at an altitude of 1,500 meters, after no less than 20 tricky switchbacks. It was like being in a Sergio Leone's spaghetti western, with about 40 head of cattle including cows, bulls and horses grazing in the blinding green vegetation on the slopes of the majestic Molise Mainarde mountain range. The animals watched me curiously, and I will not deny that this frightened me. So did I, attracted by the hypnotic sound of their cowbells reverberating among the great spaces, like a celestial orchestra. I could not help but think of one of my favorite Indian Ragas, the Ahir Bhairav. It is a morning Raga, and since the word "Ahirs" means herdsmen and milkmen, this Raga evolved from the tinkling of cow bells in the early morning as they are being milked.
Although I had my Rav Vast Drum with me, capable of producing equally dulcet sounds, I preferred not to alter the harmony that reigned around me. https://ravvast.com/
I hope you will sense the excitement in my voice as I was experiencing that moment full of joy and surprise. https://www.visitmolise.eu/. Peace 🙏.

Over the past few days I have been working on a tourism report among nature, relaxation and wellness in the beautiful Molise region of Italy. The work will be published soon at www.crono.news. This is a region little traveled by mass tourist itineraries, is that it deserves to be known for its great natural, artistic, archaeological, food and wine riches, etc... Molise is rich in water thanks to the presence of the Volturno River, but also wonderful lakes such as Lake Castel San Vincenzo and the wonderful Volturno Falls - Cascate del Volturno - under which I recorded this podcast. It was wonderful to play my RAV VAST drum in the presence of the imposing waterfall. These are unique sensations that are difficult to describe in words. https://ravvast.com/
Coming back to Molise, you should know that it is a wonderful constellation of villages, all to be discovered, by us shepherds of the cosmos, curious Mumukshu, always in search of beauty and truth. So all you have to do is google Molise and plan your trip to the authenticity of this little Nepal of the Italian peninsula. https://www.visitmolise.eu/
I experienced this journey with increasing utsāha, a Sanskrit term that Swami Parthasarathy, explains in his commentary on the Bhagavad Gita - Chapter 18 as follows:
"A sattvika actor possesses two essential qualities of perfection. Dhṛti steadfastness and utsāha enthusiasm. Dhṛti is consistency of purpose. Necessary for the completion of action. Utsāha is an energetic and enthusiastic attitude toward the action taken. A sāttvika actor possesses these qualities because of his high ideal in life. When an 'action is perfect success inevitably follows. A sāttvika actor understands this truth. He performs his obligatory duty to the best of his ability. With little interest in the result of the action. In this way he maintains indifference to success or failure."

Reading Swami Vivekananda always made me think about the freedom of everyone to express their inner universe.
That is why in this episode I celebrate a small but salient passage from his book "Practical Vedanta," hoping that it will be as inspiring to you as it was to me.
I want to thank the RAV VAST brand, which was among the first to support the first steps of this new podcast series devoted to Vedanta philosophy. The RAV Vast is a metal drum with perfectly cut steel tongues and a unique and deep sound.
It's an instrument gives an easy access to creating music to everyone. It gives vent to creativity and therefore elevates the spirit, helping us to express ourselves in total freedom. I received a RAV VAST tank drum 4 days ago. It has brought me much joy, inspiration and relaxation. I hope you will appreciate my first composition which I offer at the end of this podcast. It is the result of a serene, free, almost childlike spirit that has forgotten everything in the time spent learning about the instrument. https://ravvast.com/
"The Vedanta teaches men to have faith in themselves first. As certain religions of the world say that a man who does not believe in a Personal God outside of himself is an atheist, so the Vedanta says, a man who does not believe in himself is an atheist. Not believing in the glory of our own soul is what the Vedanta calls atheism. To many this is, no doubt, a terrible idea; and most of us think that this ideal can never be reached; but the Vedanta insists that it can be realised by every one."

After that instance I started training in music intensely,” he says;

Indian mythology fiction novels. The new episode of the Cosmic Dancer podcast, involved renowned writer Chitra Divakaruni and Vedanta teacher S. A Shreedaran, a student of Swami Parthasarathy at the prestigious Vedanta Academy, and addressed the topic of Indian mythology and philosophy as a great source of inspiration for contemporary and highly successful Indian historical/fantasy novels, if we consider international best-selling authors such as her, Amish Tripathi and Ashwin Sanghi. Chitra later told us how she came to write the best-selling novel The Palace of Illusions, centered on the Indian epic text Mahabharata, but told from a totally new perspective, (that of a woman), and featuring refined prose.
It is worth mentioning that Chitra Divakaruni, with her short story collection Arranged Marriage, won an American Book Award in 1996, and two of her novels (The Mistress of Spices and Sister of My Heart), as well as the short story The Word Love, have been adapted into films. Mistress of Spices was shortlisted for the Orange Prize.
Currently, Sister of My Heart, Oleander Girl, Palace of Illusions and One Amazing Thing have been optioned to be made into films or television series. This is without mentioning the numerous awards that literary prizes he continues to receive.Strongly enriching in today's podcast episode was the presence of Vedanta teacher S. A. Karma Yoga, compassion and clown therapy. Guest: S.A.Sreedaran, Vedanta teacher in Dubai, founder of Mind and Intellect. He studied at the Vedanta Academy of the eminent philosopher Swami Parthasarathy. Guest: David Engel, professional actor and experienced clown therapist.
"Karma yoga is the path of righteous action. The path that culminates in Self-unfoldment. That leads to realisation of the supreme state of human existence. If a person reaches the very end of this righteous path he gains the ultimate experience. But when he fails to complete this path, even then there can be no effort wasted nor can any adverse result accrue from it. Furthermore, even a little progress on this path protects him from fear. All human activities fall broadly under three categories: 1. Actions performed with selfish and egocentric desires. 2. Actions performed with unselfish desires. 3. Actions performed without desires. Karma yoga in its purest form falls under the third category. It envisages actions fully dedicated to Self-realisation, free from all desires and expectations. Actions performed with a perfect sense of detachment. A karma yogī commands enormous power and derives supreme happiness. He is rid of all fears that plague human existence. "(A. Parthasarathy)
"The profession of Therapeutic Clowning is an arts‐based practice typically in healthcare settings with children, adults or elders. It is designed to reduce stress, restore a sense of control and dignity, and celebrate the personhood of each individual regardless of their physical or cognitive limitations. Working in pairs using imaginative play, improvisation and music, the Therapeutic Clowns bring connectivity, lightness and joy in a place where sadness, trauma and boredom often reside. In most settings, they regularly partner with staff/clinicians as needed to provide playful diversion during medical procedures and aid various therapists to help clients achieve a better quality of life through directive or non-directive techniques. This is an evidence-based practice. The Therapeutic Clowns play a key role in bridging relationships between family members and their loved one. They typically have an extensive training in theatre, improvisation, movement, voice and dance in order to serve a variety of clients’ needs and desires. They undergo ongoing professional artistic, psychosocial development and reflective practice. These are professional clown artists, working a minimum of 3 and a maximum of about 20 hours a week in healthcare. They are remunerated for their work." (Helen Donnelly)

Vedanta, Bhagavad Gita and Marine Ecology. Focus on the sanskrit term Viśvatomukham (all-pervading nature of God), and the wonderful biodiversity of the sea. Guests: Jayashankar Krishnamurty (Vedanta teacher) and Renée Carlton (Marine Ecologist).
"Viśvatomukham means ‘with faces on all sides’. A poetic expression used in the śāstras (scripture) to indicate the all-pervading nature of God. Anything all-pervading, like space, cannot have a form."
"He who recognises the supreme Self in the manifold beings is endowed with Jñānacakṣu Eye of Wisdom. With this divine eye he perceives the Supreme."
(Bhagavad Gita - Swami Parthasarathy)
A senior disciple of Swami Parthasarathy, Jayashankar Krishnamurty is a graduate of science from the University of Madras and a post graduate in Packaging Technology from Mumbai. He had a distinguished corporate career. Seeking answers to questions pertaining to life and living he sought the guidance of his guru and spent four years full-time in Vedanta Academy. For over a decade he has been researching and propagating the knowledge of Vedanta, in Andhra Pradesh, through Swamiji’s publications. He is the Executive Trustee of Vedanta Institute Hyderabad, a Charitable Trust registered in Telangana (Formerly Andhra Pradesh). https://www.vedantahyderabad.org/
Renée Carlton joined the Khaled bin Sultan Living Oceans Foundation team as a Marine Ecologist in May, 2016. Her role in the foundation includes writing up the final reports for the countries visited on the Global Reef Expedition and assisting with publication preparation of the data collected. Renée’s master’s research focused on the ability of seagrass beds to modify seawater chemistry to create more optimal conditions for corals to grow and possibly act as a refuge for corals in the face of climate change and increased ocean acidification. The foundation provides science-based solutions to protect and restore ocean health. https://www.livingoceansfoundation.org/

It was very inspiring to know and interview Gorazd Markovic of Markovic Design, a small Slovenian cajón producer, but with great talent and great passion. Art lover, beauty lover, Gorazd makes his creativity vibrate in every fold of the wood he works by hand to produce his cajón. Colorful and high quality products. Precious woods such as oak and mango constitute the production path that goes from the felling of the tree to the finished product, that is a Markovic Design branded cajón.
Gorazd donated to me a Woody Cajón, beautiful to look at and fun to play. Warm, round, mellow sounds characterize this instrument which, like other Cajón by Markovic Design, has the particularity of having the Switch function to pass from the classic drum sound, with kick and snare, to a typical African bongo sound.
A professional quality instrument, suitable for even the most demanding musicians that I am sure you will love.
Mya, Gorazd's sweet and self-confident daughter, gave me invaluable help in this interview, helping with the translation from Slovenian to English.
I wish Gorazd Markovic great successes, convinced that love, passion and the search for beauty in what you do are always rewarding.

Meaning of Om: between Vedanta and Handpan. Podcast interview with Master Vedanta Bhaskar Ramachandran and renowned handpan player Davide Swarup.
Meaning of Om.The word Om seems to have originated in the Mandukya Upanishad, part of a collection of ancient texts exploring the philosophical concepts of Hinduism. It is said that "Om is what has been, what is, and what will be." Om represents everything: the beginning, middle and end, the past, present and future. It encompasses all sounds: man, nature... it is the hum of the earth. OM is both a visual symbol and a sacred sound or mantra that can be heard and uttered. The syllable is composed of the three sounds 'A', 'U' and 'M' - AUM. 'A'. The 'ah' sound represents the beginning: the creation of the universe and all that it contains. It is said to symbolize the "conscious or waking state". Hindu tradition associates the sound with Brahma, the Creator. The sound originates in the belly and vibrates in the upper chest. Hold the tongue in the lower part of the mouth and spread the lips to create a feeling of openness.
'U' (a prolonged "oooh" sound). This sound indicates the stability that carries you forward and the energy that preserves and sustains you and the world. It is associated with the Hindu god, Vishnu - the Preserver. From the "A" sound, the lips begin to move together and the sound gradually progresses, rolling down the upper palate and vibrating in the throat.
'M' ("mmmm" sound). This represents the sound of closure and the beginning of the end and is associated with Shiva. Shiva is often known as the "destroyer," but also the force of culmination, completion, and finalization. When we form the sound, we move the tongue to the top of the mouth and bring the lips together to create a prolonged hum.
Between Vedanta philosophy and Handpan.
Bhaskar Ramachandran is an acclaimed exponent of the dynamic philosophy of Vedanta in the UK.
"And sound is the subtlest of all idols because of its proximity to Brahman (God). It is considered the closest perceptible thing to Brahman because only a sense organ can contact it. The word Brahman or sound Brahman serves as an idol to attain the ideal. 'To go beyond the word-Brahman' therefore means to attain Brahman. Only by that previous practice, it is irresistibly borne. Even desiring to know yoga, it goes beyond śabdabrahma (word-Brahman)."
(A. Parthasarathy - Bhagavad Gita)
Handpan and soul.
It is often said that David Swarup is a "soul player." As one of the most highly regarded handpan musicians in the world, he inspires and sweeps the mind away from thoughts or mental mechanisms. Listening to his melodies is a way to meditate. Davide himself plays in a meditative state, letting the music come to him, without ego or any kind of control interfering.

PopuPiano Smart Portable Piano. Small Colorful LED Music Keyboard that makes making music really easy. Over the past few weeks, I have enjoyed exploring this exciting instrument . It is a small smart keyboard equipped with 29 bright and colorful LED keys plus a 6-key multi-function chord pad, which makes producing music really simple and cool. All arranged on four octaves selectable through the dedicated App .
Very comfortable to carry with you even in its practical and colorful bag, this little gem is compatible with the best professional music creation software . Whether you are totally alien to the world of music or rather experienced, the PopuPiano will lend itself to use by any audience. In addition, interactive in-app tutorials are available , (available both on the Android Play Store and the App Store), which will help us embark on or simply deepen our beautiful musical journey.
PopuPiano Smart Portable Piano will be launched worldwide in April on the Indiegogo website.
As a neophyte of the piano, but as an expert GarageBand user, I found it really useful and simple to interface the PopuPiano via Bluetooth with both Macs , smartphones and tablets.
I also found the in-app teaching and LED visual guidance with real-time feedback to be very convenient. It helps to be nimble with your fingers. The guide also invites us step by step to learn to play, without ever taking away space for fun. The keyboard is also expandable and can be transformed into a classic E-keyboard . This little gem never ceases to surprise. This exciting and colorful instrument can surely become a bridge to connect the human visual instinct and the understanding of music.
Special mention, moreover, for the avalanche of free tutorials and hundreds of sounds of various musical instruments, present in the official PopuMusic APP for musical composition . Believe me, between one beat and another, your adrenaline will undergo a whirlwind surge.
Guessed is the idea of the compact chord pad, which completes the PopuPiano. In addition to its small size , it is good to underline the fact that it helps to easily become familiar with the most used chords. In fact, they can be performed with the left hand, usually the laziest one, and progress quickly.
People, what else to add, I found the PopuPiano really well done and then it's really Zen playing it in the dim light of my room. How nice to be pampered by the multicolored and bright whiteness of the keys. It is a welcoming, serene, reassuring technological experience. A real must for all music lovers.
Music and spirituality.
Music has transformed the most mundane and difficult moments of my life into deeply inspiring and often indescribably divine human experiences. The PopuPiano could definitely become one of my favorite instruments along with my beloved Ukulele ( Populele ) and Tongue Drum . This exciting and colorful instrument will certainly be able to act as a bridge, to connect the human visual instinct and the understanding of music.
The gift of music.
Whatever meaning you choose for spirituality, I believe there are direct correlations with each in the nature of music. Music is essential to human life and an integral part of our development as individuals and as a species. Like breathing, music has rhythm , tension and release. It could also be said that the sound of the breath or the waves of the ocean are musical expressions of life. Few things in life have the ability to directly shape or change our emotional state with respect to music. So today more than ever choose a musical instrument, play , always be inspired and may the PopuPiano bring you so much relax joy and fun!

Bhaskar Ramachandran is an acclaimed exponent of the dynamic philosophy of Vedanta in the UK. He has dedicated his life to the study, teaching and advancement of the knowledge. Based in UK he is the managing trustee of the Vedanta Institute London.
Bhaskarji, as he is popularly known, is a senior disciple of the eminent philosopher A. Parthasarathy. After a promising career in the Merchant Navy he joined the 3-year residential course at the Vedanta Academy in India. Since graduating he has been studying and teaching Vedanta for over 25 years vedanta.org.uk.
The philosophy of Vedanta teaches the presence of divinity in every being: the real nature of man and the entire universe is divine. The purpose of human life is to develop and manifest this divine nature. The different religions in the world constitute many paths to that realization. Unity in diversity is the immortal theme of Vedanta.
What are Vasanas?
Vasanas are habits and patterns of thought. They can be ‘positive’ or ‘negative’ in nature; or it might be better to term them ‘healthy’ or ‘unhealthy’. Healthy vasanas are those habits and patterns of thought and behaviour that have a beneficial effect on the mind and body; which bring peace, harmony and balance. Examples might include a commitment to self-inquiry, study of the scriptures, meditation, yoga, good eating, the steady practice of karma yoga and the ability to question and reframe agitating thoughts. Unhealthy vasanas are those compulsions, addictions and self-destructive patterns of thought and behaviour that have a deleterious effect on the mind and body — of which there are too many to mention.
Mind management is an essential component of Vedanta because, as Krishna states in the Bhagavad Gita:
“Without a peaceful, stable mind, contemplation on the Self is impossible. When one lacks the ability to contemplate, there is no peace. Without peace, how can there be happiness?”
The mind is our primary instrument for transacting with the world. Just as a grime-covered miror cannot reflect the sunlight, a dull or agitated mind is an unfit receptacle for the liberating light of Self-knowledge. That’s why Vedanta repeatedly emphasises the necessity of a qualified mind.
In order for Self-knowledge to equate to liberation, the student’s mind must be reasonably tranquil, discerning, dispassionate and free from the relentless storm and stress of excess desire, aversion and attachment.

There is a term anyone studying Ukrainian icons should know. In ukrainian it is Bohomaz.
The common translation of bohomazy is "those who draw God ". Although it is sometimes used (rather lightly) by icon painters in general, it has come to be applied more specifically to painters with no professional training, "self-taught" artists.
The centers of popular iconography began to appear and develop in the 17th-18th centuries. In general, more than fifty centers of popular iconography already existed in the 19th century. And although such icons were banned by censorship, the process of painting and selling popular images was difficult to stop.
Bohomazy, in the context of the modern study of icons, generally refers to “folk” or “village” icon painters who did not work in professional studios and were probably not even full-time painters. Instead they were often workers in other crafts such as carpentry or blacksmithing. They painted icons in their spare time to earn some extra cash.
The bohomazy did not paint for a rich, high-class market or sophisticated clients. Their art was at the service of ordinary people, for peasants with little money who, however, wanted to have an icon.
The folk icon is a special spiritual-sacred and artistic phenomenon in Ukrainian culture. Such icons reflected popular mentality and folklore. The saints in these " images " are rarely severe and ascetic ; on the contrary, their faces are kind and joyful , often with a flashy smile. This style harmoniously adapted to the home environment and the "images" were closer to ordinary people.
Icons played an important role in the life of peasants and their presence was necessary in the most important events of human life: births, weddings and funerals. Folk icons were an integral part of the interior of the Ukrainian house. The icons performed both a religious and a decorative function in the house. People called them "gods" or "images". Traditionally, the house had six to ten icons. Wealthier owners may have more. Then they were hung on the walls.

We talked about "likes" (Raga) and "dislikes" (Dvesha), we find in the Bhagavad Gita commented by Swami Parthasarathy. In the discharge of our worldly duty, we will have to encounter all kinds of likeable and unlikeable situations. We must practice neither to yearn for the likeable situations, nor to avoid the unlikeable situations. When we stop being slaves of both the likes and dislikes of the mind and senses, we will overcome our lower nature. And when we become indifferent to both pleasure and pain in the discharge of our duty, we will become truly free to act from our higher nature.
If you want to live life in a meaningful and prosperous way, the Bhagavad Gita is a must to read and learn from, regardless of one's religion or faith. This is because it goes beyond things that go far beyond such man-made discrimination. Swami Parthasarathy greatly simplifies complex learning by making it accessible.
Swami Parthasarathy has published nine books which present ancient philosophical teachings and the wisdom of Eastern and Western thinkers. Three of them have earned bestseller status. His lessons have fascinated audiences around the world for over fifty years. It is widely acclaimed by prestigious universities, institutions and organizations.

David Bohm Wholeness and Implicate Order.
Among the various Theories of Everything developed by physicists, the idea of the universe as a hologram hologram is one of the most fascinating ever proposed, being full of implications ranging from physics to life, from consciousness to cosmology. In the 1980 essay Wholeness and the Implicate Order, the American physicist David Bohm speaks of an implicit order underlying the reality we perceive, functioning as a hologram in which it structures. general is identifiable in every single part. The universe is described by Bohm with the term Holomovement, a neologism that combines the principle of the undivided totality (all is one) of the hologram with the idea that everything is in constant motion.
In Bohm's hologram each particle is not separate but is part of a dynamic wholeness that connects it with all the rest, in a state of constant process similar to the turbulence of a current.
In a holographic view of the universe, human action is also part of wider processes of transformation of reality, not separated from the natural context, entering the cosmic flow as a geophysical force acting on a large scale. In recent years, the relationship between climate change and anthropogenic activities has led to a greater awareness of the substantial unity between man and the environment, connected parts of a single shared system, in which every action has implications even at a considerable distance. The hidden order defined by Bohm and the scheme underlying the manifestations that we read as separate and accidental are connected both to the universe and to human individuality, in the intimate correlation between the particular and the wholeness relative to the functioning of this theoretical hologram.
In the scenario proposed by Bohm, the information of the main image is contained in all its parts. All the constituent parts of what we call reality are linked in an interconnected process that involves all elements of it in shared flows, eddies and ripples that are constantly moving in the cosmic hologram.
“The real order itself (Implicate Order) was recorded in the complex movement of electromagnetic fields, in the form of light waves. This movement of light waves is present everywhere and in principle envelops the entire universe of space and time in every region. This folding and unfolding takes place not only in the movement of the electromagnetic field but also in that of other fields (electronic, proton, etc.) (...) The totality of the winding and unfolding movement can go immensely beyond what has been revealed. to our observations. We call this totality by the name Holomovement . " (David Bohm)

Bali Spirituality and Healing: sea, spirituality, beauty, energy, in a unique place in the world.
Anyone who has visited Bali knows that this small island has something special that goes far beyond the kind people, the fascinating culture and the spectacular nature. Bali is the spiritual center of Indonesia. Almost 90 percent of the population is Hindu and religion is deeply rooted at the heart of daily life. Bali is one of the world's liveliest centers for spirituality and self-discovery and, in turn, tends to attract some people interested in healing, yoga , meditation , consciousness and transformation.
But what is it in Bali that drives this powerful energy?
You may have already heard of the word Chakra . There are 7 main chakras in the human body . These chakras are essentially energy centers that keep us healthy and balanced physically, mentally and emotionally. The 7 chakras run along the spine to the top of the head and are responsible for specific functions of our physical and auric body.
Just as we have our energy centers or chakras, Mother Earth also has hers.
Along with the Chakras , there are also eddies around the Earth . These vortices are similar to chakra points in that they are places of high energy and transformation. They are also intense points that can amplify the emotions you may be feeling. They connect with the chakra points, working together to form the energy grid of the Earth.
The island of Bali is a vortex of energy which is also the home of the earth's Kundalini energy , formed by its two large intersecting Ley Lines which have great power and energy. This center is thought to purify the blood of the Earth, and thus also in the purification and rejuvenation of our soul and body. Bali is essentially the " World Purification Center ", the place where the planet's energy is cleaned.
You can experience a retreat or visit Bali in search of a spiritual or transformative experience. In this case, you may want to visit some of these sacred places or experience a Balinese ceremony or Balinese healing session . Even if you don't travel with the intention of immersing yourself in the spiritual elements of Bali, chances are you will still feel the beautiful energy and power of the island in one way or another. You may leave Bali feeling like a whole new person.
However, you may experience changes later after you return home. As human beings, we were created to constantly evolve. When we avoid the transition out of fear or discomfort, we stagnate and tend to feel out of balance or out of alignment. Welcoming and embracing change is surprisingly liberating and allows us to continue moving into the next version of ourselves.

Let's focus on the Latin expression: "Nulla dies sine linea". Literally translated, it means "no day without a line". The great Pliny the Elser writes it, in his “Natural History”, in chapter 35. The phrase refers to the well-known painter Apelles who, over two thousand years ago, did not let a day pass without drawing a line with a brush. In the common sense, this Latin phrase therefore has the following meaning: the need for daily, constant and concrete exercise, in order to progress. An invitation that is valid for any human activity, and gives meaning to the whole existence. It is necessary that every day of one's own has a meaning.
Having a project, a goal, giving meaning to things to do, means giving a plastic and precise dimension to one's life. Each of us is not fully aware of our potential and limitations. Only by giving vent to our secret but pulsating intentions, can we go further, and achieve our goals. It is essential to try, to participate, to face new tests. What you choose to do must be faced with love, attention, professionalism, seriousness and commitment. Continuity is the key to everything. Also be careful, never fall in love with what you do. The Narcissus who lives in each of us would laugh at it.

Mother is a word shared in all languages, identifying the creature from which we are born. In Sanskrit we find a scientific explanation for the word "Mother" matr (मातृ), it is based on "agglomerations of syllables" which, when combined, express meanings as precise as they are fascinating. 'Ma' is a root of the Sanskrit language whose meaning is what is' limited 'what can be' measured 'and what is governed by' time 'expands to become' matra 'whose meaning is' unity of measure '' and 'unit of time' and this is seen within European languages as a 'meter' which forms the metric system of weights and measures.
'Tr' is a stem that forms the second part of 'matr' its meaning is 'function', 'performer' 'instrument'. Therefore Ma 'whose meaning is' limit' 'measure' 'time' is combined with 'Tr' whose meaning is' function '' performer '' instrument 'and this produces' matr' whose meaning is the one who performs the function (tr) of setting the limits (ma) and she who performs the function (tr) of maintaining the material world (ma).
'Matr' also means she who 'measures' since everything comes from the mother she is the measure of all things and throughout her life she is constantly concerned with things of a temporal nature, with things of a limited nature and with things that are governed by time. all of which are expressed in his name.
The ancients recognized that human beings have a duty to perform and the most important were the roles of mother and father, so within a language based on ownership their duties were reflected in their names as "pitr" accepted the responsibility of the spiritual well-being of the family while the 'matr' was the builder of nests, the breeder, the gatherer.

A Lesson From The Lilies
“Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow.” Matthew 6:28 KJV
In His ministry, the Lord Jesus often used illustrations from the world around Him. Objects and scenes that His listeners would be familiar with were taken, and lessons were drawn from them. This, combined with His authority, certainly must have made His teaching memorable. Consider The Lilies Do you ever wish you had been alive when Jesus was here on earth? “If only He were here today,” you may be thinking, “and I could sit with a crowd and listen to His enthralling teaching!” While that is not possible, many of the objects and situations that He spoke about are still with us, and we can surely benefit as we take time to “consider” them. Although the “lilies of the field” that the Lord was looking at may be difficult to identify precisely today (Bible commentators have different ideas), we are all familiar with wildflowers. You may have seen a field of wild poppies, for instance, swaying gently in the breeze. Flowers can appear so graceful, yet at the same time they are very simple objects. Their life-cycle is marked by growth. First a shoot appears, then later a tight bud gradually opens into a beautiful full bloom.
One Of These Flowers have a glory of their own. Amazingly, as He surveyed “the lilies of the field,” Jesus said that “even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these” (Mt. 6:29). Solomon was arguably Israel’s greatest king. He surpassed all other kings for riches and wisdom (1 Ki. 10:23). His reign epitomized glory. “And yet” (Mt. 6:29) Jesus said, with all his splendor Solomon was not dressed like one of these wild flowers!
They Toil Not Clearly there are different kinds of glory. Solomon’s glory was very impressive. Those, like the Queen of Sheba who visited him, were overwhelmed by what they saw. How, then, could one lily in the field exceed Solomon in all his glory? The answer is found in the words “they toil not, neither do they spin” (Mt. 6:28). Solomon’s robes of majesty had been skillfully woven and embroidered, and all this required much time and effort. The lilies of the field were beautiful naturally – without any toiling or spinning. Their growth was effortless and their beauty came from within.
The Secret The secret is simply this. The glory of our lives does not depend upon our human striving and effort. God wants the Holy Spirit to take over, working quietly within to promote growth and produce His own distinctive fruit. This is the sure way to bring glory to our Creator and blessing to other people.

Anyone who hears lo-fi hip hop music for the first time, whatever the format, immediately feels a sense of community. That's how Toni Blackman, musician, artist, teacher and hip-hop's first ambassador to the U.S. State Department, felt when she first heard it decades ago. "I felt like I had found home," she says, recalling wondering, "if there are other artists who feel the same way I do, who feel the way I do? In addition to a sense of belonging, experts say the appeal of lo-fi hip hop music lies in the music itself - how the tunes feel and what they remind us of."
Lo-Fi music can fit all genres of music, as the term refers to is recorded music (low-fidelity). This includes ambient sounds , such as children playing outside or the rustling of papers. These can be combined with other "natural sounds that give the feeling of music coming through walls," says Elliot Gann, a psychologist and executive director of Today's Future Sound, an organization that brings therapeutic beat-making and listening to after-school programs.
Born in 1997 in Kloetinge, the Netherlands, Pim Sebastiaan de Jonge (Sebastian Kamae) began his journey at just 5 years old, when he had his first music lessons. Quickly, he discovered his love for the piano and in high school began producing and making beats. While developing his skills, Kamae played in several bands. He then decided to study MediaMusic at ArtEZ and graduated as a Bachelor of Arts in 2018 in music production, composition, and audio engineering. In the fall of 2017, he landed an internship in Chicago at SoundScape Studios, where he had the opportunity to work and connect with artists such as Kweku Collins, Femdot, Khary, Ajani Jones, Jack Red, Qari, Melo Makes Music & many more. Sebastian Kamae released his first album, Waves, on June 27, 2018. A few singles followed and his first instrumental EP Wired was released in December 2018. He signed a publishing deal with Cloud 9 Music and is now involved in music full-time mainly in the Netherlands and the United States. His second album Enjoy the Ride was recorded mostly in Chicago and was released in November 2019.

Gaëtan Pichaud is a very skilled sculptor of Polynesian Tiki and Tiki of the Marquesas Islands. Passion, creativity and dedication make him a special artist, sensitive and innovative. It has been a pleasure to talk to him and to receive from him a precious Tiki as a gift: a unique piece of refined craftsmanship.
A Tiki is a sculpture endowed with an important spiritual and symbolic force (Mana), originating from the Marquesas Islands and usually representing a modified man. The Tiki is a real emblem in Polynesia and occupies an important place in the local culture.
The first stone sculpture representing a Tiki dates from the 13th century. Originally from the Marquesas Islands, Tikis are also present in most of the islands of the Polynesian triangle. The most famous are undoubtedly the "Moai", these monumental statues of Easter Island.
Half-man, half-god, the Tiki symbolizes a mythical character who gave birth to human beings. In the past, Polynesians venerated and feared them. Rather stocky, he has his arms resting on his stomach and his head is often out of proportion with the rest of his body. His face is so expressive that with his large eyes he gives you the impression that he is looking at you while observing what is going on around him.

"Theater is a form of happiness interrupted by existence." (Pino Caruso)
When you take a theater course, of course you are not alone. You will find people of various ages, but all linked by the same great passion. At first you will be blocked by shyness, but, progressively, through the comparison with others and the training of your self-esteem and your technique, everything will be easier.
The scripts will become your friends. Initially you will start by learning to play small roles, and then deal with increasingly complex texts. And don't worry if walking around town or in the shower you find yourself repeating the part aloud. Everything will be normal! It takes study, training and concentration. Strength and courage!
It is important to get to know your fellow adventurers and to trust them. We all work together in order to create a small work of art, for which a great collective synergy is needed. Teaming up will bear fruit.
You will gradually get used to performing in front of other people. This will strengthen your self-esteem and your self-control also in other moments of life: exams, interviews, presentations, etc ... You will learn to use your voice with confidence and you will not be hesitant, because you can always imagine being on stage.
When you step on stage, you will be able to leave everyday life aside. You will be able to let yourself be carried away by the magic of roles and characters that you will experience. All thoughts and problems will seem distant, and you will be focused only on the present, on the acting, on the gestures, on the voice. Making theater is highly therapeutic. Let the characters' lives come to life through you. Eventually you will feel gratified, satisfied and lighter.
"Theater is poetry that comes out of a book to become human." (Federico Garcia Lorca)

CBD benefits - CBD oil - Meeting with the psychiatrist Prof de Souza Crippa - Episode 46
CBD, short for cannabidiol, is a chemical compound from the Cannabid sativa plant, also known as marijuana or aid, according to the US National Library of Medicine. It is a natural substance that is used in products such as oils and edibles to impart a feeling of relaxation and calm. Unlike its cousin, delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), which is the main active ingredient in marijuana, CBD is not psychoactive.
I had the opportunity to interview one of the world's leading CBD experts and researchers. José Alexandre de Souza Crippa is a professor of psychiatry and former head of the Department of Neuroscience and Behavioral Sciences at the FMRP of the University of São Paulo (Brazil), coordinator of the services of: (i) Anxiety; (ii) Psychogeriatrics and; (iii) FMRP-USP HC Mental Health Interconsultation. He was an honorary professor of that institution until 2010. He is a member of the international advisory board of the Australian Center for Cannabinoid Clinical and Research Excellence (ACRE). Professor Crippa accepted the International Association of Cannabinoid Medicines (IACM) award for his career contribution to cannabinoid clinical research in Berlin in 2019.

From 1990 to 1995, Dr. Rick Strassman conducted U.S. government-approved and funded clinical research at the University of New Mexico, in which he injected sixty volunteers with DMT, one of the most powerful psychedelics known. His detailed account of those sessions is an extraordinarily compelling investigation into the nature of the human mind and the therapeutic potential of psychedelics. DMT, a chemical derived from the plant found in the Amazonian psychedelic drink, ayahuasca, is also produced by the human brain. In Strassman's volunteers, it consistently produced near-death and mystical experiences. Many reported convincing encounters with nonhuman intelligent presences, aliens, angels and spirits. Almost all felt the sessions were among the most profound experiences of their lives.
Strassman's research links DMT with the pineal gland, considered by Hindus to be the site of the seventh chakra and by Rene Descartes to be the seat of the soul. DMT: The Spirit Molecule argues that DMT, released naturally from the pineal gland, facilitates "soul movement" in and out of the body and is integral to birth and death experiences, as well as higher states of meditation and even sexual transcendence. Strassman also believes that "alien abduction experiences" are caused by accidental releases of DMT. If used wisely, DMT could spark a period of remarkable progress in the scientific exploration of the more mystical regions of the human mind and soul.
The idea that the pineal gland produces enough DMT to produce psychoactive effects emerged from the very popular book "DMT: The Spirit Molecule." Traces of DMT have been detected in the pineal glands of rats, but not in the human pineal gland. Furthermore, the pineal gland may not even be the primary source. The most recent animalTrusted Source study on DMT in the pineal gland found that even after removing the pineal gland, the rat brain was still capable of producing DMT in several regions.
Happy reading to all with DMT: The Spirit Molecule, by Rick Strassman.

The Aramaic word Abwoon (Our Father)-pronounced Abuuun, consists of four parts: 1) a: the absolute, one being, pure unity, source of all power and stability, echoing the Aramaic word for God, Alaha, literally, unity; 2) bw: a birth, creation, a flow of blessing, as from within this unity to us; 3) oo: the breath or spirit that carries this flow, which echoes the sound of the breath and includes the forces we call magnetism, wind, electricity, and more. This sound is related to the Aramaic phrase later translated as holy spirit; 4) n: The creative vibration of the Absolute, of God, resonates in the earth and in bodies.
In 1986, Neil Douglas-Klotz pioneered an approach to interpreting and understanding the words attributed to Jesus in the Gospels from his native language, Aramaic. Drawing on the centuries-old Jewish tradition of midrash (interpretive translation), Douglas-Klotz used a traditional Syriac-Aramaic version of the Gospels to show how a non-Western listener would hear the words of a Semitic prophet in a layered way. This postmodern approach to the interpretation and experiential understanding of ancient Semitic texts was embodied in his first book, Prayers of the Cosmos. It became an international bestseller and led to subsequent scholarly articles and mainstream books continuing the exploration, which raised many questions for biblical scholars about their epistemological blind spots.

Mudras are elaborate hand and finger gestures that have symbolic meaning as a visual language. Also known as Hand and Finger Yoga, their energetic powers can be directed at healing and influencing the energies within our bodies. As a visual language, mudras signify specific meditative practices, particular deities, and cultural rituals, such as dance, painting, and sculpture. Each subtle physical movement conveys meaning to the viewer and practitioner. Non-verbal communication maintains the effectiveness of the spoken word, relating concepts such as 'Good Law', courage, worship and knowledge. These symbols point the way to the goal of achieving Enlightenment.
If we look at the cover image of this podcast, we notice that Shiva, Buddha, St. Nicholas, and Jesus all appear to be making similar gestures. To the untrained eye, this might just be a coincidence, but upon further examination it appears that each "ascended master" appears to be using a yogic mudra. In yoga practice, mudras are basically of two types: touching the tips of various fingers with the thumb or pressing the first phalangeal joint with the thumb. Depending on which finger is touched or pressed, the effects on the body vary.
Is it just pure coincidence that such mudras have been used by numerous sacred figures in multiple historical moments, in different religious traditions?

I had a wonderful chat with today's guest. We learned so much about the ancient Mesoamerican civilisations in relation to their use of cannabis. Mexica Master Tonawaka Kwauhtlinxan, from Mexico, is one of the eighteenth generation of his family of traditional medicine practitioners (over 800 years). He is a healer, specialised in body therapies to harmonise the physical body, the mental body, the emotional body and the spiritual body (according to the division of the ancient Aztec-Mexica cultures). Tonawaka uses different techniques of body massage and chiropractic, herbalism, music therapy, aromatherapy, crystal therapy and Temazkal (ancient Mayan purification ceremony). He is the word bearer of the TZENTLAWAKAYOTL movement of consciousness and conscious connection. He has also lectured at several universities in Mexico, such as the Politecnico Nacional and UNAM, and at the Centro Medico Siglo 21 in Mexico and abroad at universities in Spain and Romania. He has participated in festivals and congresses on traditional medicine in different European countries such as Germany, England and France.
Tonawaka explained that Mesoamerican peoples used various plants, including Cannabis, especially for relaxation, concentration and spiritual celebrations. Depending on the desired purpose, Cannabis was taken by smoking it, inhaling it, sipping it as an infusion or through the use of ointments. These peoples made conscious and judicious use of medicinal plants, based on an ancient teaching: 'Let the spirit of the plants help you. Do not allow it to enslave you'.
Tonawaka Kwauhtlinxan further stated: 'I am in favour of the legalisation of cannabis in the world. The plants also exist to help us. But it is good to use them consciously, respectfully, wisely. The curative benefits are numerous and indisputable, but we must be careful. Getting informed is the fundamental starting point."

The well-being of the mind can affect our physical health: therefore, the dialogue between body and mind is fundamental. How? Through meditation. In medical jargon we talk about somatization, that is when the body absorbs and transposes some problems, such as worries, that lurk in the mind. Let's take an example: the back is often a source of pain and fatigue because it is literally and metaphorically our backbone, the first to give way under the blows of anxiety and distress. Through meditation we can not only reduce physical pain but also relieve stress and reduce anxiety and depression.
A discipline with ancient origins, meditation, but increasingly current that, if practiced consistently, can bring countless benefits, here are 7:
It is a real natural remedy against anxiety and depression: just practice this discipline for at least half an hour a day to feel better. It helps to regain psychophysical well-being: it has a very restful effect and is an important tool to better understand yourself and your limits. It improves memory and concentration. Relieves stress and increases productivity at work. It allows to reduce physical pain, without any side effects, unlike drugs. Lowers blood pressure: meditation promotes the release of nitric oxide in the blood, a substance that can relax the blood vessels allowing the blood to flow better. Combining meditation with a healthy, balanced diet and constant physical activity is a great natural remedy for high blood pressure. Keeps you young: meditation slows down the aging process of cells and has a huge number of benefits.

Love is something that we all feel to varying degrees for different people, but did you know that it can change people's lives? It can change your life, and it can even change the lives of strangers. That's because love and happiness are contagious to those around you. That doesn't mean other people will love you simply because you're near them. It means that the love you feel makes you act in different ways than you would if you didn't have that love. And those actions and ways of reacting are going to make a difference in how other people feel.
No matter what you're experiencing in your life, there are plenty of ways that you can do to make things even better. You deserve to be happy and, if you're not already experiencing that on your own, then it's time for you to start looking at ways to cultivate it.

I read an excerpt from the text "Practical Vedanta" by Swami Vivekananda, which deals with the theme of Creation, God and the soul. Swami Vivekananda is also known as Narendra. He was a great thinker, great orator, and passionate patriot. National Youth Day in India is observed on 12 January to commemorate the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.

The purpose of human life is to develop and manifest this divine nature. The different religions in the world constitute many paths to that realization. Unity in diversity is the immortal theme of Vedanta.
In India, its country of origin, Vedanta has become the common basis of the different spiritual paths there. It demonstrates, in fact, the essential unity of all religions, recognizing that they lead to the same Truth. Thus Vedanta accepts all the great prophets and spiritual instructors, because it maintains that all are manifestations of the one Truth. By accepting them all, Vedanta does not try to convert, does not inculcate dogma, but offers a rational basis for practices common to all religions.
Vedanta, as a universal philosophy, remains independent of race, nationality, or particular beliefs because it leaves us all free to pursue our liberation according to our personal preferences; Vedanta is not a sect.
Since graduating he has been studying and teaching Vedanta for over 25 years.

Kayaking as Meditation. Kayaking is a great way to distill the chatter of the mind. The water is still. You get in your kayak and wobble as you find your balance. You pick up the paddle, square your shoulders and slide the boat through the water. You drift for a moment, free of solid ground. Paddle erratically for a few strokes, then straighten up and pick up the pace. Now you're there. Left, right, left, right, left, right. Inhale, exhale, inhale, exhale.
Clouds reflect off the surface of the water and you feel like you're paddling through the sky. The sounds of nature multiply and you unexpectedly tap into something you've been dealing with during your stressful work week: mindfulness. Breathe in, breathe out. It's hard to worry about things on land when you're floating out of reach. Practicing mindfulness, Mindfulness, means giving your attention to one thing as a way to become calm and relaxed. This happens naturally with mindful kayaking. The physical exertion, the constantly changing nature around you, and the complete removal from dry land can help untangle your mind from distractions.

A Native American cartoonist shares his journey from childhood, through struggles with alcoholism, to a spiritual awakening at Standing Rock.
In this powerful graphic novel memoir by comics creator Jim Terry, the author shares the personal journey of discovering his spiritual home as a Native American. From a childhood in suburbia, disconnected from his identity as an Indigenous person, through an urban adulthood marked by a struggle with alcoholism and the death of his parents, to his life-altering experience at Standing Rock, we are privileged to travel this path with the author as he begins to find a new sense of self as a Native and as an American.

Matthieu Ricard is a French writer and Buddhist monk of the Tibetan school.
I want to submit to your attention his beautiful words about benevolence:
′′The number of human beings living below the poverty line has risen from 1.5 billion to 750 million in 20 years. This all stems from the fact that we care more about others and are more interested in their fate. Benevolence and selfless love are the best way to achieve the double good of others and oneself. One must dare benevolence. Dare, even teach it in schools as a valuable tool that enables children to realize their natural potential for benevolence and cooperation. Dare to take seriously the fate of future generations and change the way we exploit today the planet that will be their tomorrow. Dare, finally, to proclaim that benevolence is not a luxury, but a necessity."

Life might be a bicycle, but life, like cycling, can be tough. Climbing is the hardest part; the euphoria waits in the distance but there is a challenge in the journey to get there. The rise is mirrored by an increase in body temperature; the increase in blood pressure forces the heart rate to accelerate. It is impossible to ignore the physical sensations, your attention is acutely drawn to the single beads of sweat that form and flow. At first there is doubt, your breathing deepens, the tension rises from your feet until you feel your chest tighten; teeth grind in a clenched jaw determined to overcome. You touch the back of your head and helmet to feel alive and safe on your road trip.
In the pursuit of bliss, appeal to all available resources. To reach the heights you have reached earlier, you are drawn inward. Deep breaths bring comfort and measure the passage of time as you rise to euphoria. You become centered, focused on yourself, the noise around you is just traffic. It becomes a question of balance, to overcome, you have to keep moving. Cycling in the hills can be difficult, but cycling offers its antidote.

Rajesh Nagulakonda, an enormously talented graphic designer and illustrator, hails from Chirala, a small town in southern India. Born into a family of typographers and goldsmiths, he has always had a huge passion for art, despite graduating with a degree in Science. In 2007 he had the opportunity to work with Campfire Graphic Novels in New Delhi, where he started working on several graphic novels: Krishna The Defender of Dharma, Pride and Prejudice, Alice in Wonderland, Ganesha, Buddha-An Enlightened Life, Ashoka Mauryan King and Chanakya of kings and Serpents, some of his works have been awarded with Comic Con India Awards for best artist, best colorist and best graphic novel of the year. Here are some questions we posed to Rajesh: Why did you choose Buddha for one of your beautiful graphic novels? I have loved Buddha since childhood just for his peaceful face and I used to draw his face very often. I treasured Kieron Moore's beautiful script that helped me so much in learning Buddha's story and especially enhancing my coloring skills. Illustration is not only reading scripts and drawings, I believe it is fundamental for the illustrator, to read between the lines and tell the story through symbolism and shades of color. Buddha-An Enlightened Life, won the award for Best Graphic Novel of the Year, at the 2017 Comic Con India Awards. And I, in the same edition, had the honor of being awarded Best Artist and Best Colorist. Do you feel that the graphic novel can be a useful medium to talk about your wonderful country, India? Yes. Definitely the graphic novel format is more like a sort of tableux film. It engages readers emotionally and takes them far away with their imagination. I love telling the story of my country, its thousand-year-old culture and its extraordinary mythology. How long have you been working on graphic novels? I've been working on graphic novels for a good 12 years. It was in my destiny to be an illustrator. I involve mind and soul in my work. It's a great passion that feeds an infinite desire for creativity, as well as a constant desire to excite readers. Projects for the future? As a freelance illustrator, I work on various animation and graphic novel projects. I can't reveal anything at the moment, but I can assure you that these are really interesting initiatives. You'll know more in the coming months.

Electrica Selvatica is a folkloric EDM music genre of pre-Columbian influence. EDM stands for electronic dance music, dance music, club music. In Electrica Selvatica, Latin American Magical Realism meets music, returning the power of mysticism, indigenism to music through anecdotal stories with a touch of magic, under a theme that flows between cosmic, exotic, wild scenarios. Journeys through galaxies, through the multiform explosions of the Latin American universe. All combined with tropical winks, baptized by some as a tribute to Space/Jungle music.
The Electrica Selvatica is a musical phenomenon that is crossing the Web in a disruptive way and we believe it is linked by a red thread that in the '50s Martin Denny began to weave with Exotica Music. Born in New York, Martin Denny was involved in many big band tours in the 1930s, served in the Army Air Corps during World War II, and in the mid-1950s found himself in Hawaii playing at the Hawaiian Village Hotel in Waikiki. His group, a quartet that also included Arthur Lyman on vibraphone, played around a hotel pool in a natural setting, performing long arrangements of folk songs with one or two instruments typical from Hawaii and places in Asia and the South Pacific, such as conch shells, Indonesian and Burmese gongs, Japanese kotos, and boobams.

"Within the infant rind of this small flower Poison hath residence and medicine power. For this, being smelt, with that part cheers each part; Being tasted, stays all senses with the heart. Two such opposèd kings encamp them still, In man as well as herbs—grace and rude will."
(Friar Laurence - "Romeo and Juliet" by William Shakespeare)
Friar Laurence talks about a plant that has both medicinal power, if smelled, and the poisonous power to kill, if eaten. He claims that this dual nature is present in everything, including people, and likens the poison in the plant to the “rude will” found in men. Poison therefore symbolizes the dark side of human nature.
In Romeo and Juliet, when Friar Laurence is introduced, he is holding a basket in his hand (into which he places his medicinal herbs), and this action establishes a core aspect to his characterization and his role in the within the play. Indeed, the dual nature by which these plants an herbs can simultaneously serve as curative and poison is a key theme across the soliloquy, along with the dualistic nature of life and death, all of which are significant themes within the larger arc of Romeo and Juliet.

Spiritual clothing: fashion evokes emotions and spreads spiritual messages. Our clothing is a representation of who we are and communicates our identity to others.
Over the past two decades, the Internet has proven to be a driver of change, even in spirituality, just as it has been in many other aspects of our culture. Now, an aspiring spiritual teacher doesn't have to gather an audience and secure a television contract before broadcasting his or her message. YouTube allows anyone to upload videos and create stations for their content. Some spiritual teachers, such as Matt Kahn and Teal Swan, have built their following entirely through this medium, while others, such as Eckhart Tolle and Adyashanti, have grown their audiences considerably. Other social media platforms, such as Facebook and Twitter, have proven to be another effective way to reach spiritual seekers. One difference clearly separates 21st century internet spirituality from 20th century television and radio evangelism. The dominant, traditional forms of spirituality no longer get all the airtime. This has allowed spiritual seekers to wander widely and easily, gathering spiritual information from a variety of sources, instead of passively receiving the same old teachings from their traditional religions.

Every language has vocabulary and grammar, which act as rules for communicating with others. We learn the rules of our spoken language at a very young age, not only in school but also by hearing people speak around us and participating in conversations. The way we know how to speak is not entirely taught to us, as we develop a subconscious understanding of what is grammatically correct through the lived experience of speaking and listening to others. Fashion, just like any other language, has its own grammar. There are unspoken rules about what matches, what is appropriate, what to wear in certain situations, and what is unacceptable. And while every language has different accents and dialects, the same is true for fashion. Different cultures, religions, and groups of people have different ways of constructing clothing to communicate their beliefs, customs, and history. Like spoken language, these rules are learned from our family, friends, the groups we belong to and the media. iPhotox, photographer, creative and founder of the celebrated WiAM- Worldwide iPhoneography Art Movement, recently stated, "I actively collaborate with the Mantra T Shirt brand. I find it incredibly interesting to imbue a fashion brand with spirituality. Ancient symbolism and teachings, multicultural messages of wisdom, the power of mantras, spread on the Web with respect, awareness and knowledge, through a universal language loved by all: fashion."

As a citizen of southern Italy, I grew up with the awareness of the existence of various forms of racism: both within the representatives of the same culture, and coming from outside, especially through the globalized and globalizing culture especially of Anglo-American matrix. So I feel a bit mine, in my blood, (I was born in Naples - the glorious Greek Neapolis), which is a puzzle of various Mediterranean cultures, the issue of global cultural decolonization.
Times change, violent and racist attitudes are to be condemned, but the drive to assert one's identity is legitimate. The kindness revolution is done with books, knowledge and love. The Net gives me the possibility to confront with preparation and awareness many different cultures and spiritualities. And this never with the attitude of the western man with an exotic look, but rather as a "dancer of the cosmos". I believe in the awakening of consciences and in the great opportunity given to us by digital culture. And with courage and passion, I intend to contribute in the best possible way.
Learn Māori culture and Proverbs Book and Journal
This book aims to introduce the inspiring fundamentals of Māori culture without any pretence of simplifying it. Just consider this text a gesture of love, respect and admiration towards a fascinating cultural universe rich in wisdom, a strong sense of community and harmony with the world.
You will also find a rich descriptive section strongly focused on Maramataka, the Māori Lunar Calendar and accompanied by original illustrations. The numerous Māori proverbs included will accompany you in the journal section care.
I hope that Learn Māori Culture and Proverbs will become a pleasant space for reflection, celebrating ancient wisdom and cultural growth, in the firm awareness that to lose the past is to lose the future.

Moai statues are massive megaliths at Easter Island, and these are what this island is famous for. The moais were built in approximately 1400 - 1650 A.D. by the natives of this island also known as Rapa Nui. Many know them as the Easter Island heads. This is a misconception from having seen photos of statues in the volcano Rano Raraku partitially covered up with soil. Truth is that all of these "heads" have full bodies. There are around 1000 statues, up to 86 tons tons in weight and 10 m in height, though average is around half of that. 95% of the moais were carved from the volcano Rano Raraku. This location was chosen since it consists to a great extent of tuff, which is what the moais from this volcano consist of. Tuff is compressed volcanic ash and is easy to carve, which was necessary since the natives had no metal to carve with, but used only stone tools; the so called toki.

"The Transmigrant" by Kristi Saare Duarte: an excellent novel imbued with great mysticism.
"The Transmigrant" by Kristi Saare Duarte is an alternative view of the life of Jesus of Nazareth. Inspired by both ancient scriptures and relatively new discoveries, such as Russian traveler Nicolas Notovitch's book "The Unknown Life of Jesus Christ," this book explores the life of Jesus during his years of study and meditation in India, which would enable him to become an effective and well-educated "preacher" on the many religious foundations of his time. It is a book that the authors of Siddhartha (Herman Hesse), The Prophet (Kahlil Gibran) and The Last Temptation of Christ (Nikos Kazantzakis) would not have denied, because Duarte has managed to create a convincing, truly human Yeshua. The Transmigrant could be considered a travelogue and a story of self-awareness, self-discovery and spirituality by someone whose deepest motivation was to be loved and to help others. The author did extensive research in order to give her novel the necessary foundation for its realism. She also showed great depth in her reflections. Still, it is an easy and enjoyable read that I recommend to anyone who enjoys intellectually and spiritually enriching books.

Clownfish are a wonder of creation: they can change sex if necessary. For example, if the last female in a group disappears, a male can become a female in order to continue reproduction. A new study, led by Justin Rhodes, a neuroscientist at the University of Illinois, found that this sex change occurs first in the brain and only later involves the gonads and sex organs, sometimes after months or years.
The researchers also found that when this change is to take place, a particular process is triggered in the brain in an area that controls the gonads themselves. The study, which appeared in Hormones and Behaviour, describes what appears to be the first case of animals in which the sex change occurs first in the brain and then in the organs. Nature is magic. We just have to learn from it.

What patterns exist in terms of the construction of ethnic identity of nations colonized by Europeans? How do these patterns intersect with social issues such as environmental degradation and the resulting loss of native languages and cultural knowledge? How can political leaders, artists, researchers, and ordinary people bring these issues to the forefront to preserve Native culture for all peoples? Before providing the answers to these difficult questions, we as "citizens of the world" must be willing to listen to the multitude of ethnic and cultural voices that the Western world's dominant hegemony has drowned out. We must celebrate diversity by helping these peoples spread their wonderful cultures if they are to survive. On this constant search for "connection," the future of peoples around the world rests.

Natsume Soseki is the most analysed Japanese author in modern literature. Hundreds and hundreds of books have been written about him and thousands and thousands of academic articles published. Often regarded as one of the country's representative 'national authors' - a man whose face adorned the 1,000 yen note between 1984 and 2004, and whose works have been a staple of school textbooks for decades - Soseki has come to symbolise Japan's past struggles with modernisation and westernisation. Under intense government pressure to become Japan's leading expert on English literature and imbued with a self-described mission to produce a revolutionary 'theory of literature', Soseki succumbed to paranoia and anxiety in his mid-thirties. He later wrote that the entire Japanese nation had been forced into the collective equivalent of a nervous breakdown, having to assimilate several centuries of Western civilisation in the course of a few decades.

This energy is most potent when we share it. Kitanga is when you give your Mana away. The more you give, the more you receive. Manaakitanga means generosity for the Māoris. Carlos Fuentes Macías was a Mexican novelist and short-story writer. He was often named as a likely candidate for the Nobel Prize in Literature, though he never won. Carlos Fuentes was one of the greatest exponents of the Magic Realism literary genre. Magic Realism is a type of narrative in which the "element of strangeness" and the peculiar are presented as an everyday occurrence. Or rather, it is a narrative based on the observation of reality, where singularities, peculiarities and oddities have a place within normality. I propose an excerpt from the beautiful short story "Chac Mool". "Chac Mool" is one of Fuentes' most famous short stories. Chac Mool is the term used to refer to a particular form of pre-Columbian Mesoamerican sculpture.

"O immense grace for which I had the presumption Of casting mine eyes through the light divine So much that I reached the limit of my faculties! In its depth I saw that everything That in the universe is separated and divided Which is here gathered into one point with love: The substances, the accidents and their relationship are almost united together, but what I say Is only a mere glimmer of the whole light. I am certain that I have seen the universal form of Creation, for, even in saying this, I feel that I experience an immense enjoyment."

Matariki is the Māori name used to describe the constellation known as the Pleiades. Before dawn during the New Zealand winter, Matariki is visible as a faint twinkle of small dots when looking towards the northeast horizon. Its appearance heralds the end of one year and the beginning of another, the new Māori year. Generally, the Māori recognise nine main stars in the group. In some areas of New Zealand, it can be difficult to see Matariki. Other stars are used to mark the New Year in these places. Some tribes in the north and west use Puanga (also known as Rigel), which is the brightest star in the constellation Orion. The Tainui iwi, in the central North Island, recognise Rerehu, also known as the star Antares.
Matariki is aligned with the Maramataka, the ancient Polynesian lunar calendar adapted by the Māori of Aotearoa on their arrival on the island 800-1000 years ago. The Maramataka system synchronises people's daily activities with the natural world (taiao), Moon, Sun, stars and planets. It uses cycles and phases instead of counting days, weeks and months. Particular natural indicators or signs (tohu) must be present to determine each phase. According to Māori culture, the Maramataka is a true model of survival. Everything is linked to it. Tohu te rangi, tohu te whenua, tohu te moana (signs of the air, signs of the earth, signs of the sea).

Keeping a journal can be a beneficial self-care practice. In fact, journaling can help you:
Achieve goals When you use your journal to write down your goals, you can keep better track of your intentions. This will help you stay accountable and serve as a reminder of what you need to do to accomplish them. Be sure to get specific.
Track progress and growth If you make journaling a regular habit, you can see how much progress or growth you’ve made by revisiting previous entries.
Gain self-confidence
Seeing your progress can also give you a serious confidence boost. You can feel proud looking back at the challenges you faced and seeing how far you’ve come.
Improve writing and communication skills Writing, like anything, improves with practice. When you journal every day, you’re practicing the art of writing. And if you use a journal to express your thoughts and ideas, it’ll help improve your overall communication skills.
Reduce stress and anxiety
Sometimes negative thoughts and emotions can run on a loop in our heads. This can be stressful when you’re dealing with a challenging situation — it can even make your present situation feel worse. But if you stop and put your emotions down on paper, it can help you release negative thoughts from your mind. As you write, you may even come up with a solution you hadn’t thought of before.
Leonardo da Vinci drew some incredible invention ideas in his journals. Like him, you can also use your journaling time to brainstorm or let your imagination run wild. The inspiration that may pop up while you’re writing or sketching might even surprise you.
The Journal of Experimental Psychology published research that shows how writing your thoughts down can reduce intrusive thoughts about negative events and improve working memory.* Even the simple act of writing something down lets your brain know you want to remember it. That’s why note-taking is such an effective practice when learning something new.

Changes of any kind - experienced as positive or negative - can prove to be very hard to accept. We are creatures of habit in many ways. Perhaps you notice a tendency to judge yourself or others in harsh or impulsive ways. If you identify with a propensity for judgment, consider how this judgmental attitude has affected your life. Has it brought you closer to others? Has it fostered authentic self-knowledge? Has it allowed you to take healthy risks and achieve your values-based dreams?

A Mantra is a mystical energy enclosed in a sound structure. After the repetition of mantras, the energy is released. Mantras are Sanskrit invocations of the Divine. Sanskrit is also known as Devanagari, or the language of the gods. Sanskrit is not a foreign Indian language but an ancient universal language. The 50 letters of the Sanskrit alphabet are based on the pure vibrations of our chakras. Vibrations that cleanse the mind and body of negativity. It is like washing the mind with a soap made of sounds. Each mantra has a seed, a Shakti (or power), a presiding deity, a specific meter, a specific wavelength, and a plug or lock. It is an exact science and must also be studied properly under the guidance of a teacher.

Can you become initiated into the Hare Krishna movement if you're gay?
Answer: Anyone can practice Krishna consciousness.
The Hare Krishna view on homosexuality, and especially the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) view toward LGBT issues, is similar to their view on heterosexual relationships, because the living entity is identifying with the body, any attraction based on the desire to gratify the body and its senses is symptomatic of delusion and can be purified by progressively elevating consciousness. Simply put, both heterosexual and homosexual attraction are due to an illusory attachment to the temporary body.

Makoto Shinkai and Anime: The cinema of Makoto Shinkai, the Japanese director of Anime films nicknamed "the new Miyazaki", is delicate, profound, and in the era in which we live, I would dare to define "necessary". Why? Because we live in a world where people need more than ever to rediscover their inner selves, the authentic, living, deep connection with others, preaching compassion, kindness and gratitude. Makoto Shinkai's cinema fits into this purpose, inviting us to dream...together.
Everything in nature, vibrates and incredibly sounds and resonates. There is not an inert atom that does not follow this process. Everything we smell, see, touch and perceive are sensory illusions produced by flows of energy that concentrate and give life to every single visible and invisible element.

"The Japanese aesthetic philosophy Wabi-Sabi (Nostalgic Beauty), teaches to exercise detachment from the idea of absolute perfection, to rediscover the beauty of an intuitive and spontaneous creation, perhaps incomplete but certainly rich in originality. Imagine an old vinyl album that someone has listened to and listened to many times, letting the needle of the turntable extract the sound, always passing through the same grooves. Usage and time have inevitably scratched the vinyl: an accidental, unwanted scratch that returns every time to mark those sounds with its imperfection, recalling the grooves' fragility and the incompleteness of those sandy sounds. That vinyl will be unique, and to an intimately perceptible extent, its appeal will be enhanced. It seems like a definition coined specifically for Lo-Fi music, which at this point seems to be the musical expression of the Wabi-Sabi aesthetic. Few means and creativity of the artist who generates a significant set of nostalgic musical elements."

"Muñecas quitapenas". Legend has it that you only need to communicate one of your concerns to one of these dolls, put it under your pillow and she, in return, will take care of it, preventing it from taking away your sleep. Some Guatemalan traders go further and assure that they will also solve the problem, turning it into an amulet.

Educating oneself to the concepts of Kronos and Kairos, of the ancient Greeks, means therefore decoding the time of our existence, not with the instruments that measure its quantity, but with those that analyze its quality. It means acting not in the logic of doing and accumulating experiences bulimically, but giving quality to time itself, trying to enjoy its most precious and deepest essence.

Meeting with the Professor Ashok Singal. Indian Space Research Organization | ISRO · Physical Research Laboratory (PRL)
"What I mean by an axis (Cosmic Axis) is a preferred direction, separate from all other directions, in the sky. A dipole implies two opposite poles, just as the axis of the earth has two poles, north and south. In all modern cosmological theories, the universe is considered intrinsically isotropic. This means that from the earth's point of view, the universe appears uniform and homogeneous. However, if the observer moves, then the universe may not appear to be entirely isotropic. Why do we think that the observer might be moving? Our Earth is not at rest. It revolves around the sun at 30 km/s and the solar system revolves around the centre of our Milky Way at 250 km/s. The Milky Way in turn has movement within the local group of galaxies. If we add all these velocities correctly, and try to converge them into one value, then we would get a value for the motion of the observer with respect to the universe. It is necessary to discover this net velocity vector of the solar system." (Prof. Ashok Singal)
The so-called Cosmic Axis, also known as the Axis of Evil, divides the universe into two halves, the regions of the sky, with very different numbers of quasars and galaxies. In one half of the sky, separated by a plane through the Earth, Indian researcher Prof. Ashok Singal found 33 quasars and in the other only 15 (quasars are the most distant and active galaxies). This can be verified by the CMB, Cosmic Microwave Background, the oldest light we can see in the universe.

Friends, we must not lose our courage by looking at the grief and evils in life, and patience should be done.
This story is very old. At that time, Mahatma Gautam Buddha was spreading the teachings of Buddhism all over India. In connection with the propagation of religion, he was walking in a village with some of his followers. He was very thirsty for a long while traveling. Seeing the thirsty rising, he asked a disciple to bring water from nearby village. When the disciple reached the village, he saw a small river flowing there, in which many people were cleaning their clothes and many were bathing their cows. For this reason the water of the river had become quite dirty...

First of all, breathe. Breathe in and out deeply and slowly, starting in the morning. Consider the breath your shelter from the cold, your safe place, the warm and reassuring environment of your inner self. I would suggest that everyone use the simple "AH" (also on the exhale), whatever time of day it is. I am sure it will put you at ease. It is an extremely powerful sound, especially useful for generating peace and compassion.
You need to meditate, with proper concentration, making the AH sound, feeling the energy of peace and compassion as the vibration resonates in the centre of your chest. As you emit the AH sound, try to visualise a beam of pink and gold energy that starts from you and spreads across the planet. As you emit the sound, focus on this visualisation, feel the energy of peace and compassion within and outside of yourself. This feeling of peace while doing the sound is essential for the effectiveness of the AH projection. Here is another exercise using the AH sound that is extremely beneficial for developing compassion within yourself and then generating it to others. Start with yourself first and begin to emit AH as you feel the energy of compassion and peace developing within your body. Once you have been able to achieve this feeling, visualise a person with whom you have neutral energy and send this energy to them as you produce this sound. Finally, make the AH sound while sending the energy of peace and compassion to someone with whom you have had some difficulty.
It is this last part of the exercise that offers the greatest opportunity for spiritual growth. It is easy to send love and peace to someone you already love. Or, with the second part of the exercise, to someone for whom you have no real feelings. It can be a real challenge to send compassion to someone you don't love and may consider an enemy or almost an enemy. Yet herein lies the most extraordinary evolutionary activation that can take place on both a personal and planetary level. If we can learn to do this, we will be of great help in the healing of our planet.

Mayan Calendar 2021: On 29 January the new year of the Mayan calendar began. On 15 March the Xiuhpohualli, the 365-day calendar used by the Aztecs, will begin. The two calendars Tzolkin and Xiuhpohualli will synchronise in March. Year 9 - Calli (home), will start on March 15 and will be the time of introspection and change.
The year 9 - Calli (house) is associated with the number 9 which symbolises change, transformation, important characteristics especially if we refer to the very hard year we all experienced, that is 8 - Técpatl (flint or obsidian knife). We need to change many things in our society, to take better care of ourselves, our families, and others. We must create harmony with the planet, with our communities, establish new rules of coexistence. It is fundamental to understand that we are one tribe: the human tribe. It is necessary to respect the differences that distinguish us, to understand their immense value, and to be in tune with the concept of unity. In tune with humanity, with the planet, with the universe. Year 9 - Calli (house) will therefore be the time of introspection, change, inner awakening. From April-May onwards we will begin to feel more strongly the scope of this change that began, as we said, with the synchronisation in March of the two calendars Tzolkin and Xiuhpohualli. We must work with dedication, conviction and trust on new projects, new creative energies, to ride the fantastic wave of change that awaits us. We are on the verge of a new renaissance, weeding out the old negative energies and implanting new strong and vibrant positive energies. It is a time of home and transformation. Let us live it to the fullest. The two calendars Tzolkin and Xiuhpohualli will synchronise in March, a crucial time of the year.
