The Agile World ® team talks to the State of Agile Culture report team. We get some insights from this years report and highlight some significant data disparity between the c-suite and workers. Only 10% of leaders are Post Heroic in their engagement moving away from command and control, 97% of leaders believe they are agile while only 2% of workers think that the c-suite are agile.
The first two reports revealed that leadership was one of the biggest challenges for agile culture. The 3rd report hopes to delve deeper into leadership styles and their effects on agile culture.

Agile Transformation messbar machen?

Sabrina C E Bruce and Karl A L Smith are delighted to welcome Ben Hutchinson from JCurv and Bill Joiner from ChangeWise, Inc. on to Agile World to share their knowledge and insights on Leadership Agility. The need for Leadership Agility was a key observation from The State of Agile Culture Report 2021-22 run by Jcurv, the Agile Business Consortium and Truthsayers.
Guest* Bill Joiner from ChangeWise Inc. - Leadership Agility is the ability to lead effectively under conditions of rapid change and mounting complexity. It includes but goes considerably beyond what's commonly known as “agile leadership.” As described in our deeply researched book, Leadership Agility, it makes leaders more strategic, more collaborative, more innovative, and more proactive in learning from experience. Using our proprietary assessment, coaching, and training methodologies, we help leaders grow into new levels of agility that they apply in leading organizational change, leading teams, and pivotal conversations, thereby creating more agile teams and organizations. * Ben Hutchinson from JCurv - Transform your work, team and entire company with Agile working structures, helping you to grow professionally.

A really interesting conversation with Michael Küsters about being Agile before it was called that. Then what happens when people impose Agile and actually slow down the delivery of value to customers and the business. Always going back to the essential question, what are we trying solve by using Agile and ultimately did we do that?

Quelle image lui associe-t-on exactement ?

Come learn about wellness yoga as Briani Claggett chats with Sabrina E. Bruce and Steve Moubray. You'll love learning about Briani's passion before she walks us through a 10-minute exercise that can be practiced at your desk, any time you feel the need.
Over the past 7 years, Briani has built a yoga practice and teaching style that is uniquely her own. A dance injury is what originally prompted her to pick up a yoga mat, so naturally, elements of flow & expression are woven into her teaching style. And as one who’s always questioning & rebelling against limitations, she gently encourages her students to play on the edge of what’s currently comfortable & possible for them.
Briani has completed two 200-hour yoga teacher trainings. Her first in Nicaragua with Meghan Currie, whose sensual and dance-like yoga practice captivated and inspired Briani to commit to yoga as a healing practice. And the other was in her hometown of Gaithersburg Maryland, where she was part of the thriving yoga community at Life Time Athletic.
Briani currently lives in Baltimore, where she’s living out her desire to help her community connect more deeply with their bodies, with Nature, and with each other. She practices at Authentic Yoga Studios and other local studios. You can find more of Briani’s work- including info about her upcoming online video series launch- on Instagram @nurhythms.

With the ICC T20 World cup on its way, Jayshree Nair and Jatin Sanghavi had a opportunity to connect with Harish Iyer who spoke about a cricketing analogy for Agile.
Harish Iyer is Clan Owner and Head of Engineering at Digitate, a TCS Venture. A civil engineer by education, a software professional by vocation, with 25+ years of experience in building high performance, distributed, scalable, software products, platforms, and applications. He started his career at TCS and has been with them for over 25+ years.
A lot of principles in Agile methodology have an interesting parallel to a team sport like cricket. Cricket is a team game which is played all over India in any corner, on the streets, in the playground and where not. The team as a whole wins or loses. Similarly an Agile Sprint is a team event. The whole team comes together to successfully deliver the sprint. Success of failure of a sprint is attributed to the entire team. When a team loses in a cricket match, they don’t give up. They take the learnings from that match and look forward to the next. Similarly a scrum team does a retrospective at the end of a sprint and evaluates how it performed. It derives learnings from this and tries to improve in the next sprint.

Cherie Silas joins Agile World Better English to discuss how to influence organizations when you don’t have authority. As an Agile Coach, Founder of Tandem Coaching, and an amazing trainer for Scrum Alliance, Cherie Silas has helped many organizations transform to better ways of working.

Come learn about the “Facebook for Spies”, how to ride 100 miles on your bicycle and why human behavior is important.
Jason Hall has employed a product-centered focus within the Public and Private sector and within the broader Agile community for over 11 years. He started as a product owner in the DoD space before shifting his focus to coaching. Since then he's worked as an organizational shepherd helping various lines of businesses reorganize and deliver products and services that delight. Whether it’s helping engineers adopt a shift-left approach to testing or executives in embracing outcome-oriented leadership, Jason has proven his ability to be impactful at any level.

Insightful as always Mark describes the problem leaving our host aghast with the knowledge of Business Agility people. Asking teams to do "more points than last sprint" as if points really deliver features and value. Not to be missed if your involved in any kind of Agile and have any intention of seeing the benefits of Agile realised. Mark also explains how you can in fact see real value delivered regardless of your toolset, worth a listen for that gem alone.
