We go month by month, breaking down all the films - both big and small - scheduled for 2018. Stay until the end to hear us each declare which one we are most anticipating, as well as bold predictions about which will end up being our favorite flick of the year. We also keep up the tradition of letting Michael try and guess the plots of any of the really obscure ones. Ka-Pow the Pop Cultured Podcast wraps up the year with a brand new episode, where Michael regales us with a story about being attacked by an elderly dog and we copyright the word “podcast.” There’s also some stuff about another underwhelming finale for “The Walking Dead,” a nostalgia-fueled documentary on Netflix, a slew of new comic book releases and a peek under the mask of “Riverdale’s” Black Hood killer, but really, it’s all a bit anticlimactic after the geriatric dog stuff. For a big budget franchise film, it’s surprisingly divisive and controversial, spawning both unrealistic petitions from fans and scholarly examinations from critics. So, in one of Ka-Pow the Pop Cultured Podcast’s longest and most passionate movie reviews, we strive to slice through the hoopla and honestly examine where we’ve come from and where we might be headed in our favorite galaxy far, far away.

In our slap-happiest episode ever, we tried to squeeze a quick “Riverdale” recap in after our previous recording. But after already doing a full episode, then 45 minutes of political debate, a case of beer, some cold fish and a freezer full of delicious Push ‘Ems, it was almost 2 AM by the time we called it quits and the results are a bit… let’s say… unhinged. But we do our sleep-deprived best to cover season 2, episodes #6-8, “Death Proof,” “Tales from the Darkside” and “House of the Devil” as thoroughly as this terrific show deserves in this one-of-a-kind go-round of Ka-Pow the Pop Cultured Podcast.
