NEOS SPYI S&P 500 High income ETF has received a lot of buzz lately, offering a 12% yield as an income ETF. Some are now saying this is even better than SCHD or JEPI. However, one thing that sets this income ETF apart from others is that it also buys SPX index options, which may provide the chance for upside potential when the stock market does well. I explain why I think this may not be the best idea.

BDCs are required to pay out 90% their profits to shareholders in the form of dividends to maintain the BDC status and avoid paying Federal Income taxes. BDCs offer some high risk high rewards with their often 10%+ dividend yields. Today we will take a look at some of the best BDCs out there in Ares Capital ARCC, Hercules Capital HTGC and Owl Rock Capital Corporation ORCC.Follow me on YouTube: CitizenoftheYear!

Today I will explain Fidelity’s Core Positions (uninvested cash) that automatically goes into SPAXX and FZFXX money market accounts that will accrue interest. At the time of this recording that is about 4.5% and gets paid monthly. Even with how high inflation is these days, that is an attractive yield for a fund that invests everything into Government securities. Government bonds are a low risk investment as the government can just print money to pay back investors. SPAXX and FZFXX are also impacted by interest rates which will dictate how high or low the yield will be. Follow me on YouTube: CitizenoftheYear! The Covered Call JEPI has returned some solid gains for its investors the past 3 years through dividends and capital appreciation. However there is a huge risk people often overlook when talking about the Income ETF JEPI: the fund is actively managed. Meaning the fund manager won't always be around to give us these great results and people often overlook this risk factor. Follow me on YouTube: CitizenoftheYear! This is an area that often gets overlooked in traditional banking and Ares helps meet this need. Although Ares is able to generate high interest rates and share in profits of the companies, there is a big amount of risk investing in smaller private companies. STOR Capital recently was acquired by another company. The agreement price was $32.25 a share. Certainly a premium from what STOR was trading at, but STOR is still not at $32.25. What gives? STOR has already paid their final dividend as public company. The difference between the agreement price and what the stock trades at today can lead to an investing strategy known as Risk Arbitrage. Also known as Merger Arbitrage. It involves trading with companies that are expected to do an acquisition, being acquired or merger. Follow me on YouTube: CitizenoftheYear! Today I will explain Fidelity’s Core Positions (uninvested cash) that automatically goes into SPAXX and FZFXX money market accounts that will accrue interest. At the time of this recording that is over 3.3% and gets paid monthly. Even with how high inflation is these days, that is an attractive yield for a fund that invests everything into Government securities. Government bonds are a low risk investment as the government can just print money to pay back investors.  SPAXX and FZFXX are also impacted by interest rates which will dictate how high or low the yield will be. We will cover some of the top stock picks for the month of November 2022. Google had a disappointing earnings report, but Google checks all the boxes for a fantastic company to own in the stock market with its monopoly on internet search. Union Pacific UNP is a part of an oligopoly dominating the railroad industry. Basically anything can be shipped via rail which will only supply dividends and cash flow for years to come. Lastly, we have Devon Energy DVN which has a ridiculous yield of over 6%. Devon is an oil and natural gas extracting and production company. All essentials we need in every day life. This company is also rare in that it pays a variable dividend in addition to its quarterly cash dividend.  All these make Google, Union Pacific UNP, and Devon Energy DVN as some of the top picks this month.   Follow me on YouTube: CitizenoftheYear! Last week I put out a video speculating that QYLD's dividend would not be a Return on Capital (RoC) but instead taxed as ordinary income. That means I would not get to defer taxes by lowering my cost basis but instead pay more taxes on the distributions in my highest income bracket.  Global X put out monthly estimates showing upwards of 90% would be RoC's , but based on their 2021 Tax Form for all their products seems like this will be ordinary dividends indeed. Does QYLD still have a place in my portfolio after this? Income ETFs like QYLD, NUSI and JEPI may pay high dividends but a lot of that is being given up to taxes. Our favorite income ETF QYLD features an impressive 12% dividend yield. Research into their tax documents page may show that dividends were taxed as return of capital or RoC. Return of Capital may be able to avoid taxes for quite some time. But it appears many in the investing community have shared that QYLD dividends are in fact showing up on brokerage statements as ordinary income. This mean it is taxed at highest income brackets and not favorable. I examine more of what is going on at Global X. Follow me on YouTube: CitizenoftheYear! Today I share the amount of dividends I made throughout the years. I just wrapped up year 4 of this dividend growth investing journey. Although the dividend snowball starts off very slowly, it will rapidly start to accumulate consistent cash flow. I go over some of the big dividend paying stocks over time and the ones that have not fared as well. What I love about this stock market investing strategy, is that it creates a floor for income. Meaning I know most likely in the coming years I will make at minimum the amount I made this year plus any dividend raises or additional shares I buy. Follow me on YouTube: CitizenoftheYear! DGRO is a dividend ETF offered by Blackrock's iShares. This dividend ETF tracks Morningstar's US Dividend Growth Index to find companies that have paid increasing divided for a least 5 straight years and do not have super high dividend payouts. In this playful video, I will talk about some of the most talked about stocks on the Wall Street Bets Reddit page. WSB has been in the news a lot lately for their rampant speculative investing and fight against institutional investing firms. WSB Meme stocks include AMC & GameStop GME, which have had a significant impact on the share price of those companies as well providing billions in additional  funding via share offerings. I was also surprised to see a stock I own many shares of , Sofi Stock, was also one of the most talked about stocks on WSB. Follow me on YouTube: CitizenoftheYear! The income ETF DIVO offers monthly dividends but unlike other income ETFs it's yield is around "just" 5%. Part of the reason for this is because DIVO does not do options trading on all of it's positions. Instead it tactically managed to only do options to get around 2-4% return on covered calls. It also only holds around 25 dividend paying stocks that are among the best in their sectors. DIVO is managed by Amplify ETFs. Certainly each income ETF has pros and cons, and I go over that in today's video. See how DIVO ETF compares to QYLD ETF, JEPI ETF, and NUSI ETF. Follow me on YouTube: CitizenoftheYear! For the first time ever my dividend growth investing portfolio has topped $100,000. This has been a journey 3.5 years in the making. Nothing special happens when you cross this arbitrary mark, but still does feel amazing to hit 6 figures and let's get to $200K even faster. I try to mix my portfolio with reliable stocks like the dividend aristocrats as well as the technology stocks and a few speculative investments. I know continued investing in the stock market will allow me to retire early.Follow me on YouTube: CitizenoftheYear!  Disclaimer:This is not financial advice and I am not a licensed financial advisor. The JPMorgan Equity Premium Income or JEPI is an a monthly paying dividend ETF. They run a strategy using options trading, buying and holding blue chip dividend stocks, and dealing with Equity Linked Notes or ELNs. Today we will look at one of my favorite industrial sector stocks that pays dividends in Waste Management WM stock. Waste Management WM helps collect and drop off our daily waste and helps keep the communities it serves clean. Waste Management has managed to outpace the stock market in the past 10 years and also paid growing dividends for 18 years now. It will likely become a dividend aristocrat by the end of this decade. Just because WM has been a great paying dividend stock in the past does not mean it is a bargain in price right now as I cover. Follow me on my YouTube channel CitizenoftheYear!
