You'll learn unique strategies, tools and insights on how you can achieve more but without feeling overwhelmed all of the time.
Most things in life and work are just decisions.
You'll know as a leader, as you grow, as your team grows, as your organization grows, your time becomes more valuable, and there is more of a pull on your time to various new opportunities.
But even in that growth, we only have 24 hours a day like everyone else.
You still only have a set number of working hours in a day, and what that means is that with these new opportunities and growth comes more opportunities to make decisions about the trade-offs.
When there are projects or products or tasks or habits, or perhaps even people that you might be considering letting go of, you can use these steps to help you make that tough decision.

Would you check your emails?
Would you just head on home?
No.
Because you will make the most of that time, knowing you can squeeze something great into that small time gap.
It's the same with the small gaps of time between meetings. The only reason you're not making the most of it is that you're thinking "It's not enough time to be productive". And we know that's not true.

Everything we want is just an experience of our time. Even the things we buy with money are just because we want to experience our time in a certain way.
So what we need to learn to do is make decisions about how to invest our money and our time to buy more time or to experience our time in a way that serves us.

I’m not sure if you’ve realised this but what most humans do is use their brain to make money to buy time.
That’s what we do right? We spend the first 21+ years growing our brain to make as much money as possible so that we can get an extra 10 days off every year (more time) to spend on holiday.
Or so that we have enough money in our retirement to enjoy our time when we’re old.
Or we look to become an entrepreneur to have more flexible time to be with our loved ones.
Another way we do this is we make money to pay for healthcare and gyms and creams and pills so that we can look after our health and live longer and buy more time.
But the crazy thing is that we spend a lot of time trying to make money to get more time.
Just think of it like a funnel - you put your time in at the top of the funnel and then you get some money out at the bottom of the funnel and then you use that money to buy some more time.
And if you think about money and time in that way, how would you make different decisions about your work and life?

“There are no right decisions. There are only decisions that you choose to make right.” - Terez Rijkenberg
What if I told you that all of the decisions that you have made up until this point in your life have been the right decisions?
And if you believed me, what might be different for you? Specifically, in the way you show up to decisions from now on?
Let’s play with that thought for a second - the one where “all of the decisions you have made up until now have been the right ones”.
If you believed that wholeheartedly then:
And… If you had all of the above, then you would probably make better decisions, 10 times faster!
So if you just believed right now that “all of the decisions you have made up until now have been the right ones for you”, I’d like you to think about how that thought makes you feel.
For me, it gives me a feeling of freedom.
Because if I believe that, then all of the decisions I make going forward are already the “right” ones too.
And then I don’t need to spend hours looking for the “right” decision going forward, I just need to make a decision and then take action to make it “right”.
So many of us spend days, weeks, months, and sometimes years sitting on the fence about some decision.
And every time we feel uneasy or anxious or frustrated, it’s likely that it’s just an undecided decision.
The options available to us at any time are:
And so the question arises: why do we sometimes allow ourselves the discomfort of sitting on the fence instead of the discomfort of making a decision?
And here is the key to why we aren’t making better decisions, faster yet:
We don’t make decisions faster and better because we don’t want to face discomfort that we don’t know.
Making a decision will require us to face discomfort that we think is unknown and that we think we cannot control.
This is the cognitive dissonance that our brain offers us to try and keep us from expending too much energy.
But really what’s happening is that we are just delaying that pain we will eventually experience anyway.
A decision is always made. And even indecision is a decision.
In this episode, I’ll be sharing the strategies we can use to transform the way we make decisions by reducing the fear we have about unknown outcomes.

Problems are such a problem, aren’t they?
Just consider that problem you’re dealing with right now. Have you noticed yourself thinking about it non-stop?
Your mind whirs and thinks and spirals and festers over it.
And I’m guessing you consider solutions and think about the potential outcomes. But it just seems like there isn’t any one solution that brings certainty or comfort.
And do you complain about this problem you’re dealing with sometimes (either to yourself or others)?
Some problems seem to startle you with their intensity like a paper cut, but they quickly disappear.
But the worst problems are those that sit with you for a long time taking up space in your mind and sapping your energy from the frustration, anxiety and dread they bring.
And even worse still, are the problems that involve other people, am I right? They never seem to listen to what you have to say. They never seem to do what you want them to do.
My solution to solving any problem is simple, with just 4 steps.
However, if you want the solution summed up in just 14 words, then look no further than the master of simplicity himself:
Albert Einstein said: “We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used to create them.”
That’s it.
We solve our problems by thinking differently about them.
In this episode we'll explore how to:
✅ Make faster decisions about the problems you’re facing, and create more space in your mind for other important things
✅ Quickly turn your frustration, anxiety and dread into courage, motivation and confidence to drive purposeful action
✅ Build stronger relationships with your team and your colleagues to influence them through your example
✅ Coach your team using the 4 steps for even more significant speed of execution and delivery of results

The reason why resolutions and goals and new habits fail has nothing to do with January. Let’s just clear that one up - it has nothing to do with the new year. January happens to be the time that people tend to commit to new goals. And whether you commit to these in January or in September my guess is that the averages of success towards those goals will be similar.
The reason why resolutions and goals and habits fail also has nothing to do with your intent and your commitment to it. I know from working with lots of clients on this that they want to achieve those goals and they’re committed and ready for them.
The reason resolutions, goals, and habits fail also has nothing to do with understanding why you want to commit to them. My guess is that you are probably very clear on WHY you goal is important to you.
So why do goals, resolutions and habits fail?
In this episode I will discuss:

If you think about it, seeking perfection is actually quite odd.
Perfection is an entirely abstract construct because there is no evidence of it in the world we see and interact with daily.
Sure, you might think something is "perfect" but that is also an opinion that someone else might disagree with.
And so true perfection doesn't exist and yet our brain is trying to look for it every day in our work and life.
In this episode, I offer some of the ways that you can embrace imperfection to create more results in your life.
Embracing imperfection is one of the best strategies to produce more and achieve more.

Do you often feel out of control? Do you struggle with uncertainty?

This means you'll probably feel frustrated and disempowered a lot of the time.
When you are able to focus on just the 3 things that you can control, you'll realise that no matter the situation, you can always feel in control and you can always find a solution to help you move forward.

I used to believe that if you had a fool-proof well-thought-out strategy then you could have any success.
I was so wrong.
If anyone tells you that a specific strategy is guaranteed to work - I would recommend that you think a bit more about it before jumping in. And I’m not saying that it won’t work - but it might only be guaranteed to work not because of the strategy - but because of something else.
Here's why:
✔︎ No strategy can withstand the impact of MINDSET
✔︎ No success is delivered without the right MINDSET
✔︎ No problem is solved without a shift in MINDSET
The problem with mindset is that we can't see it. It's intangible.
And if we can't see it, we can't measure it.
And if we can't measure it we can't leverage it in a positive way for the goals we most want to achieve.
But that's why I want to introduce you to the RAFT formula.
This formula helps to make your mindset tangible so that you can work with your most valuable resource (your brain) to create the results you want in your work and life.

So you want to prioritise and focus on what’s most important - but the problem is everything seems important and, on top of that, everything is also urgent, am I right?
The best thing to do is to stop using important and urgent as prioritisation criteria and to start using this framework that I discuss in this episode.
The 4-step prioritisation framework will help you filter the next best task or project to focus on.
You can use this framework for large projects and also for your individual to-do list.

Forget decision-making, RE-DECIDING is your new superpower.
So often we get comfortable doing the things we've always done. But more than that, we get comfortable believing the things we've always believed - even if they no longer help us to get where we want to go.
So what's the antidote?
To RE-DECIDE!
Re-decide every day.
Re-decide often.
And even if something is great, works well or makes you feel good - re-decide that too.
🙋♀️ Is this action essential for your goal, KPI, OKRs?
🙋♀️ Is this action essential to YOUR job or part of your role as Chief X Officer or Managing Director?
🙋♀️ Is this project or opportunity, that seems profitable, essential to your long-term vision?
And if it's not essential. Delete it.
Deleting things that aren't absolutely essential to your goals, role and vision will allow you to DOUBLE the time invested in the things that are.
And that's how you stop feeling frustrated.
That's how you stop getting bogged down in the details.
That's how you start delivering remarkable results faster.
Re-decide what is essential. Every. Single. Day.

Do you find it difficult to say "no"?
Do you sometimes put off saying "no" because you think you might hurt someone's feelings?
Or perhaps you don't say "no" to things because you think you'll have enough time to do it all (and then regret it later)?
If this is you - listen to this episode - and then ask yourself the questions at the end of the episode to change how you feel about saying "no" forever.
I know you’re probably working towards your quarterly or bi-annual or annual goals, KPIs or OKRs.
Whatever goal you’re working towards right now - I bet you have experienced some form of procrastination.
The stats show that around 88% of people say they procrastinate for at least 1 hour every day. And more people struggle with procrastination than suffer from alcoholism, substance abuse and depression.
In the workplace, 80% of employees say they procrastinate between 1 to 4 hours on any given work day. And if we were to look at the cost of this if an employee is procrastinating just 1 hour per day this costs companies around £5 000 - £20 000 per worker, per year.
If you’re looking to procrastinate less for yourself or your team, then in this podcast you'll discover:
Very often we think about our goal in 1 stage/moment where we actually succeed. And yet our goal is so much more than that - in fact, it is the work and effort that precedes the attainment of it that makes up the most of our energy and effort that we expend.
Everything that precedes the achievement of the goal itself is the most important part because it is what actually allows us to achieve the goal.
So when you’re listening to this episode, I’d like you to be thinking about your specific goal that you are working on right now. Perhaps this is a work goal or a strategic project or perhaps this is a larger 5-year vision for yourself or your organisation. Or you can even think about a smaller personal goal or habit.
By understanding and intentionally focussing on each of those stages, you can double or even quadruple your motivational thoughts about your goal.
This will help to keep you on track, build your consistency and create faster progress.

How long do new habits really take?
21 days? Guess again.
Research has shown that it takes on average much longer than that.
But the real problem is impatience.
We expect our new habits or change or activities that we are working on to be perfect immediately.
We get impatient when we don't see results or evidence that things are working quickly.
And when that happens we stop working on the habit because we think it's not working instead of pushing through a little longer.
In this episode, I'm going to share the truth about how long it takes to form a new habit and what this can mean about our expectations of ourselves to see results quickly.

Where in your life and work do you often find yourself apologising?
Being late?
Missed deadlines?
Poor communication?
Apologising is important and can build trust and respect in certain situations.
BUT… when you are constantly apologising for the same thing over and over again, it can have the opposite effect.
Because continuing to apologise for the same type of event is meaningless when there is no action to change your behaviour.
In fact, it can hinder your success.

So we busy ourselves with lots of busy work that actually doesn't produce outcomes or results and then we feel exhausted and stressed and we still haven’t achieved enough. Creating this vicious circle of stress and busyness that you feel you can’t get out of.
This planning method will take care of that - if focuses your energy and attention on creating outputs and on productivity that achieves results. And when you’re doing that, creating impactful and faster results, then you can release the pressure and enjoy your life-work balance without guilt.
Listen to the episode to discover:
P.S. You don't need any fancy software or apps or planners to use this method. It's simple and can be used by anyone in any industry for any type of task.
Why do we do things we don’t want to do during our working day? Why do we do things that take us away from what we actually want to be doing.
For instance:
Why do we try and multi-task when we know it’s not beneficial?
Why do we check our emails every 11 minutes instead of focussing and completing what’s in front of us?
Why do we say yes to tasks that aren’t aligned with our strategic focus areas?
Why do we get distracted so easily?
Why do we do the quick fix task when we should rather delegate it to someone else?
Why do we randomly grab our phones and scroll on social media for up to 2 hours every day?
Why do we respond to emails, messages and calls when they could probably wait until later?
Why do we accept and join every meeting request that comes in when we know we don’t really have to attend every single one?
Most leaders and execs that I speak to tell me that they want to have more time for strategic work and thinking time. They want the space to plan and think more every week.
The problem? Distractions and distracting activities that keep us busy.
In this episode you'll discover:
