There are moments in our life when we are let down by circumstances which are not in our control.

These are times when we are on the edge of giving it all up, not knowing a way out of it all. Times when there's no one around to help us get back up.

In moments like these, we need to know that time shall heal all, and we will rise above. There is no mountain too big; there is no river too deep; we are all capable of greatness. Life is full of ups and downs, and if you're persistent enough, you will eventually reach your goals. That is what it means to 'rise above'.

Throughout life, we face all kinds of problems. Be it our career, relationship, health, or wealth, there will never be a moment when every aspect of our life is perfect. These imperfections build character and resilience. As we grow we learn how to process situations appropriately and rise above our circumstances.

View Details

Facing disappointments can be daunting but how we deal with them determines the outcomes. Give yourself time to reflect. Allow yourself time to make sense of what went wrong, grieve your loss and think about why the disappointment happened. Adjust your expectations and re-evaluate the situation.

Don't let your disappointment linger for too long. Timely actions are important, as delaying could affect your physical health.

Create a positive mantra to counter the painful thoughts. Create physical distance from the situation. Do your own work on yourself and practice mindfulness. Be gentle with yourself and know that there are ups and downs as we go through life, and if you are down that means the only other way is up. Allow the negative emotions to flow and engage in self-care

Identify trigger, monitoring and effectively managing them can significantly reduce our risks of mental ill-health. Do remember that it is okay to say 'no' and 'I am not okay'. Mental health is real and affects more people than we recognise. Support yourselves and others in de-stigmatising Mental Health.

Confidence is something that many men grapple with internally, but it’s also something that shows in your actions and in your words. A confident man is, overall, happy with the way he is. This doesn't mean that he can't improve and get better, but he's not insecure about it and is not ashamed of himself. Confident men typically don't avoid certain things just because they're afraid of being judged. Live your truth. Be brave and proud to know that you are enough.

Socrates once said, “To know thyself is the beginning of wisdom”. So, how do you know yourself and why is it important? If you do not know who you are, you'll have no idea where you want to go. ... If you do not have a full understanding of who you are then how are others supposed to get to know you.

View Details

Positive thinking doesn't mean that you keep your head in the sand and ignore life's less pleasant situations. Positive thinking just means that you approach unpleasantness in a more positive and productive way. You think the best is going to happen, not the worst. Positive thinking often starts with self-talk. Self-talk is the endless stream of unspoken thoughts that run through your head. These automatic thoughts can be positive or negative. Some of your self-talk comes from logic and reason. Other self-talk may arise from misconceptions that you create because of lack of information.

If the thoughts that run through your head are mostly negative, your outlook on life is more likely pessimistic. If your thoughts are mostly positive, you're likely an optimist - someone who practices positive thinking.
