The girlfriend of the seller has violated Real Estate Commission and Board of Realtors ethics rules by advising me in writing, speaking condescendingly toward me, intimidating, and manipulating me. She has convinced her boyfriend not to sign an extension of our sales agreement, and he has subsequently misled me by saying he would sign when he got back from a trip but instead processing payment without my permission and without an updated agreement. Unfortunately, garbage like this is apparently part of homesteading rural land, so here is my experience and what I intend to do about it. Oh, and The Patch is back on the table.
The seller went crazy and bailed on our agreement, and now they are not refunding my deposit. But I am not going to let narcissists drag me down into crisis. Instead, I'm going to get back to work on my original property and let my attorney handle this latest BS.--- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/zombie-permaculture/message

In this episode, I talk about the normally boring topic of insurance and then share how I started digging my first lateral swale and berm system off the main gully. First I dreamed about pulling at least some of all that amazing water out of the erosion gully out into my property. Then I got a bunch of other tasks off my metaphorical desk, which allowed me to dream up some creative thoughts. Afterward, it was a matter of going over to check out whether my idea had any feasibility. And finally, my intention to take the weekend off from working on the food forestry course I am developing allowed me to devote my energy to walking outside with a shovel. The results so far are far more than I ever hoped all this past year. Getting plants in the ground before the satanic nut jobs of the global banking industry and their criminally insane friends in government take over the global food supply is going fairly well this Fall. 😂 I also have done some rock work in the road berms while continuing to plant trees and have pulled the trigger on 10 more pines I'll be using in the barren parts of my property with long-term wicking irrigation. I'll be quite busy over the next two months preparing for both a jewelry runway show and a two-dimensional gallery show in January. I finally found the mysterious tech issue with the funnel I'm building.

I touch on social permaculture a bit more, note the synchronicity and prescience related to creatures showing up on my path and the Cosmic hydrology touchdown I witnessed last week. There are myriad plants coming up in areas where I have successfully been able to infiltrate water. Many of these do not need irrigation, including native sunflowers, hardy ground covers, and various grasses. It is extremely exciting to see and very gratifying. The B&B and campsites are much closer to being done and will soon be ready to list. The check dam is fairly lush, even without any more rain events pretty much all month. I am itching to get back to doing the earthworks but need to get the B&B and camp done first. Either way, watching the desert turning green is not only further proof of concept but fills my heart with a kind of joy that is hard to describe. Many trees in the greebhouse will probably go in the ground this Fall rather than languish another year in their pots. One walnut survived! This episode is an exciting update about the summer monsoon extending into Fall to offer an ideal planting opportunity. Indeed I have a lot of little trees coming up where I sowed seeds several months ago. More experimentation and modification of swale and burn systems, the status of crops planted this summer and observations of other plants, and the installation of shade trees and native shrubs intersects a four wheeling adventure in the mud.

In this episode I share the proof-of-concept that I am noticing in the desert landscape I selected for this project. After certain strategies have been implemented, the land is beginning to turn green and attract a variety of beneficial organisms. In this episode I also take a walk around the property and update listeners on specifics like the vegetable garden, volunteer and direct-sown plants, vines, trees including fruit and nut, constructed wetland, and natives.

In this episode I talk about the third major rainstorm my property received and my work to retain some of that huge volume of water while it was coursing over my land. I also talk about the progress I've recently been making on my BnB rentals. I share recent developments in the community in the area where I bought land. And finally I get into a deep dark topic spurred by a conversation initiated by someone at the pool.

In this episode I give an update on the soil in the swells and check damn a week after a fairly minor rainstorm. I talked about volunteer plants coming up in those spaces and in one of the cultivated beds I created. I also cover transplanting, shade protection, and how various plants are doing in the greenhouse as well as out on the land. All this while drinking a glass of red under a full moon.

A native woman pulls up my red maple tree and says, "I don't want this plant here." Multiple synchronicities and clairaudient directions prove accurate. The check dam fills and I get some of my huge stock of seeds out into the dirt. Shade cloths goup over orchard trees. A wind storm blows off the roof of the dog house..

I decided to do a bonus episode because of breaking news today. I was gone all day but fortunately left my dog at home. Two strange vehicles showed up right next door to me on the unoccupied property with a shade structure and water tank on it. Both vehicles have tags expired at least two years. Two male neighbors, including an active-duty police officer and Vietnam vet, checked it out and asked other neighbors, who said there have been tresspassings and theft in the neighborhood lately. Inreported plates and tags to border patrol, along with GPS coordinates. The vehicles plates were run by the police officer and belong to a man in town but, unless he owns the property, parking ramdom vehicles there is trespassing and there is the issue of the vehicles being expired, not to mention he didn't even leave a note with any of us. My gut told me last night traffickers are likely using abandoned water and shade as drop points for mobilizing illegals moving through the area on foot. I pray I am mistaken, but with the extreme border crisis I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Many trees were planted, the wick technology I invested in before coming out to the desert revealed itself more fully to me, birds sang, my first BnB camper got sited, and plants in the way got transplanted. I scored century plants at a flea market, and I potted up a huge number of trooper rooted cuttings using a mixture of amendments and native dirt from my land. I also attempted my second ever seed starting project in an $80 greenhouse for which I can't be grateful enough.

To me every little miracle matters a great deal. I consider a miracle to be finding a scrap of flooring thought to have been thrown away at the exact right time to be able to put it to use where it turns out I need it. There are big miracles too, those in this case involving the defense of the land itself, which I will elaborate in a future podcast episode but at which I hint in this one. Today during the reno project I built an impromptu floor and finished the seat cubbies for the table area.
