Join us as we chat with Dr. Beth Knighton about all things eyes (kids' eyes).
Dr. Knighton received her Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry in Chicago. She completed a Pediatric Optometry residency at the University of Houston College of Optometry, where she was trained in pediatric eye disease and working with patients who have special needs. She joined the faculty at University of Houston College of Optometry and enjoyed working with students and residents in the pediatric clinics. While in Houston, Dr. Knighton treated patients at The Institute for Rehabilitation and Research (TIRR), a rehabilitation hospital for patients with severe brain injuries. In 2012, Dr. Knighton earned her fellowship of the American Academy of Optometry.
Dr. Knighton grew up in Clearwater, Florida and currently lives in Tampa with her husband, two children and two Labradors. She enjoys sailing, visiting playgrounds and hiking with her family, and doing DIY projects around the house. Super fun and cool fact:: She is a DIY pro!!!! @an_eye_for_diy

In this episode, we talk to Dr. Dan Singley. Dr. Singley is a San Diego-based board certified psychologist and Director of The Center for Men’s Excellence. His research and practice focus on men’s mental health with a particular emphasis on reproductive psychology and the transition to fatherhood. He conducts trainings and presentations around the country to assist individuals and organizations to enhance their level of father inclusiveness. He also founded the grant-funded Basic Training for New Dads, Inc nonprofit and Padre Cadre social networking application just for dads in order to give new fathers the tools they need to be highly engaged with their infants as well as their partners. In this podcast we answer questions like :
Are men that have suffered postpartum more likely to face the same issues with future pregnancies? What are some ways to help a father deal with the guilt and shame of going through PPD and feeling like they missed out on memories and bonding during that critical time of infancy?
