What a pleasure to have Debbie Hallas back on the podcast after the news that she would be taking more of a back seat at Manchester Thunder after 17 years.
In this episode, we discuss Debbie's reasons behind this move and how it will in the long run benefit the longevity of the very successful Netball Super league club.
We touch on Debbie's main business Netball UK, and its rapid growth over the years as well as take a deeper look at another role she holds within netball as Head Coach of Oldham Netball Club.
In what was a very interesting insight into not just Premier Netball but also Regional and Pathways, we discuss the issues that are facing netball players across the country as they try to balance club, university, NSL/NXT Gen as well as International pathways. Are they playing too much netball?
We also take a look at the rules and regulations around netball including, why different regions have different rules, and how regulations in the North West region are working against players and clubs by hindering player progression up and down the leagues.
The Netball Youth World Cup 2025 is taking place in Gibraltar from Friday September 19th until Sunday September 28th.
20 teams will compete in this event, as New Zealand look to retain their title from 2017. In that same year, England finished 3rd with their best result of 2nd coming in 1988 and 2005.
Hannah Knightbridge will be leading the 2025 team to Gibraltar with the dreams and ability to make history by lifting England's first Youth World Cup Trophy.
Before Hannah flew out to Gibraltar, we had the opportunity to sit down and talk about her netball life and how proud she is to be captain of this young England Roses team.
We are back with the second part of our squad announcement debrief. All 8 Netball Super League teams have now confirmed their 10 players for season 2026.
In this episode, we take a look at the squads for Birmingham Panthers, Leeds Rhinos, London Mavericks and Cardiff Dragons. We discuss the ramifications of contract clauses such as being able to break contracts to head off to other leagues and the impact it has on clubs and the sport.
We also give our first table predictions based on the squad announcements.

After giving our thoughts on who we thing would or should win the club players of the year a few weeks ago, we now turn a attention to who we think should or could win Head Coach of the Year.
In Global News, we update you with the weekends games and how those results affected ladder positions and Finals positioning.
Semi Finals weekend and a new format for the Netball Super League this year.
The Major Semi Final was between London Pulse and Loughborough Lightning who finished 1st and 2nd in the league. The winner of this game would book their place into the Grand Final at the O2 on July 6th, while the looser would get a second chance to reach that same Grand Final through the Preliminary Final. there opponent being the winner of the Minor Semi Final.
The Minor Semi Final was between Manchester Thunder and London Mavericks who finished 3rd and 4th in the league. The loser would be eliminated from the finals series and finish 4th, while the winner would progress to the Preliminary Final where they would meet the loser of the major semi final and a chance to get themselves to the Grand Final.

After 14 rounds and 56 games of netball, the Netball Super League regular season has come to an end. Congratulations to London Mavericks, Manchester Thunder, Loughborough Lightning and London Pulse on reaching the semi finals.
A bigger congratulations to London Pulse on winning the Minor Premiership, and it is very fitting that our guest this week is a player that throughout the season showed her capabilities, but really came into her own in the last few rounds. This week we interview London Pulse and Future Rose squad member Sophie Kelly.

History will be made as the England Thorns take on the Australian Kelpies in a 3 game test series here in the UK. The Aurora Series takes place from the 25th of May at the Copper Box in London before moving to the MotorPoint Arena in Nottingham on May 31st and finishing back at the Copper Box on June 1st.

Ané is a very inspirational person as we discuss the mind set of not only herself but also of the Spar Proteas under new coach Jenny van Dyke as well as Ané's time playing in the Telkom Netball League in South Africa, playing for her home country in the international stage and her future plans in netball and in life.

On this episode, we review round 4 of the Netball Super League as London Pulse continue to dominate the league. The first East Midlands Derby between Nottingham Forest and Loughborough Lightning takes place while Manchester Thunder are working through the gears in some style with an emphatic win against Cardiff Dragons. The last game of the saw netball head to Brighton as London Mavericks took on Birmingham Panthers with a last second goal extravaganza.

On this weeks episode we review round 3 of the Netball Super League. A London Derby that was more of a smash and grab and the postponement of the Cardiff Dragons game against Birmingham Panthers due to an horrific injury on court.
Our frustration continue with the ongoing issues with You Tube streaming and the lack of communication or apology for such bad service to our sport.
Our guest this week is the very talented Gracie Smith from London Pulse who at the age of 15 signed her first ever NSL contract. Hear how Gracie would have signed for a fruit shoot as well as her future goals on and off the court.

The Netball Super League 2025 kicks off on Friday March 14th 2025. This year, the Netball Super league (NSL) opened the season with the Super Cup competition at the Utilita Sheffield Arena.
All 8 teams took to court for the first time in front of over 7.000 netball fans in a shortened version of the game. 14 minute games and 3 games to get your team into the semi finals with the introduction of the Super Shot, it meant no one was a sure thing.
On this episode we discuss the fans views from a spectator at the arena and as a spectator watching from home. There may have been a few issue off the court but, the players were entertaining on the court.
We also update our table prediction which we first predicted after squad announcement.
Its been a very long International season which, as we share this episode is still going on with the PacificAus Netball Series in full swing.
We look back at the results from the International games which started with the Australian/English Series right through to the Nations Cup with particular focus on the Vitality Roses. It has been a hard season for the players with highs of series wins and becoming World number 2 in the rankings, to the blows of player injuries, series losses as well as dropping to 4th in the World rankings in the blink of an eye.
Has this been a successful international season or a season that has gone on for far too long and in the long run, been a detriment to the world position of the Roses? Is the Roses program fit for purpose? And as we move into a new professional era at club level, is allowing clubs to have their international players for 3 weeks pre-season acceptable?
We are back for one more episode before our end of year season break. We discuss the International season focusing on the Vitality England Roses.
