I began working in the fashion industry when I was 16 and it was quite a difficult space to navigate and even know how I’ll get my way in. I have had my share of fashion adventuring and when I say this I mean I’ve tried out pretty much every sector within the industry and found what I love to do and what I hate to do.

This podcast is where we’re going to navigate unchartered territory and give that raw and uncut perspective that is needed when entering such a gatekeeping industry. My life is quite fast and unconventional for a person of my age but I wouldn't change it for the world. Some say I got into the industry too early, others ask me how I did it - I just say when you know what you want why would you wait. I live my life by the motto How bad do you want it? If you want it bad enough trust me, you will do whatever it takes to get it and that age barrier really will become non-existent. My mommy always tells me when there’s a will, there’s a way - hence why my first ever internship was based in NYC when I am from London.

Not being the typical beauty standard in an industry that is based on aesthetics is difficult, but my true inspiration Ugly Betty made sure I knew I could make it in the field (I know it’s a fictional story but same difference). I like to call myself the modern-day Ugly Betty because why not and hopefully just as she inspired me back then all those years ago, I can do the same for other people wanting a way in.

I like to think I have accumulated a good amount of industry knowledge and met enough people to create a fashion archive for fashion enthusiasts to learn from and be provided with opportunities.
