This was recorded from my front window as I was writing an email to do with sprechtgesang! It's actually for a different project: I was just using Anchor to take the recording!
I created this audio piece as the culmination of a socially-engaged project that involved me holding recorded conversations with other local people that have disabilities for Coventry Biennial of Contemporary Art 2019. It was a complete pleasure to work with all the participants, and it was exciting to have it shown alongside work by local, national, and international artists.
I wanted to document how I sound when I'm tired. I think I sound slower and more laboured because I'm starting from a point of having low energy so talking takes up what's left!
