Google’s How To Write a High-quality Product Review

Googles Best Practices to Use when writing product descriptions

  • Evaluate the product from a user's perspective
  • Demonstrate that you are knowledgeable about the products reviewed – show you are an expert.
  • Provide evidence such as visuals, audio, or other links of your own experience with the product, to support your expertise and reinforce the authenticity of your review.
  • Share quantitative measurements about how a product measures up in various categories of performance
  • Explain what sets a product apart from its competitors.
  • Describe how a product has evolved from previous models or releases to provide improvements, address issues, or otherwise help users in making a purchase decision.
  • Identify key decision-making factors for the product's category and how the product performs in those areas (for example, a car review might determine that fuel economy, safety, and handling are key decision-making factors and rate performance in those areas).
  • Describe key choices in how a product has been designed and their effect on the users beyond what the manufacturer says.
  • Include links to other useful resources (your own or from other sites) to help a reader make a decision.
  • Ensure there is enough useful content in your ranked lists for them to stand on their own, even if you choose to write separate in-depth single product reviews for each recommended product.

About Today’s Topic
In episode 29, Audrey talked about customer retention, referral and upselling strategies. In the next 2 episodes she’s going to break down really great strategies for increasing revenue with your current customers.

When trying to increase revenue from existing customers using a segmentation strategy, you can increase your profits by 25-95% just by focusing your attention on one key point: awareness. Most of your customers have tunnel vision and will only focus on the one thing that you offer them as a service. This is where awareness comes into play. It is your job to make your customer aware of all the things you offer and do well. To do that, you can use a segmentation strategy based on what goal you want to achieve.

About Today’s Topic

Many business owners ask the question “How do I get more leads to grow my business”. Since only 18% of business owners focus on customer retention and less focus on growing their business from their existing customers, the question they should really be asking me is “ how do I maximize my existing customers to grow my business?” It costs 5x more in marketing dollars to get a new customer than keep a current customer. 65% of your revenue comes from your existing customers.

The concept of Maximizing Your Existing Customers To Grow Your Business is exciting, but you need balance so make sure you don't go overboard on client retention strategies at the expense of new customer acquisition. Start by retaining the customers you already have with some simple actions steps in this episode and then slowly branch out to creating systems to acquire new ones.
