Sudha Kheterpal is a world-renowned musician, performer, TEDx speaker, and coach. For more than 30 years, Sudha played with high-profile artists such as The Spice Girls, Faithless, and Dido and has performed in front of thousands of audiences. In 2013, inspired to translate the experiences she’s had from performing into something useful for more people, Sudha created Spark, a percussion shaker capable of converting kinetic energy into electricity. She then launched her first Kickstarter start-up, Shake Your Power, with a mission to deliver Spark and produce other clean-tech products for the developing world.
Today, as The Pitch Coach, Sudha integrates her expertise as a performer and musician with her experience as a start-up founder to help other founders and individuals present with impact and deliver winning pitches.

She describes the importance of practice and the similarities between musical performance and delivering a business pitch. She also highlights what working with other musicians taught her about non-verbal communication, what it takes to deliver an impactful pitch, and underscores why when it’s show time, it’s connection time.

Steve Foster is the Founder of One Golden Nugget; an organization turned movement that collects and shares wisdom around the world. A former musician and songwriter, Steve has taken the stage with boy bands, managed acts on X-Factor, written hit records, and has been invited to Buckingham Palace to sip champagne with royalty. He’s run over 10 marathons, been on the front page of newspapers, and built a record label that, at one point, had six albums on the Top 40 charts.
He has also hit rock bottom on multiple occasions – and pulled himself back up by his bootstraps to try again.
Steve is a serial entrepreneur and the author of One Golden Nugget: A journey of self-discovery, sharing wisdom and dream making, a book that details how he discovered his ‘nugget’ and if his life was going to change…he first had to change himself.
In this episode, Steve reminisces on his very first business, Dreamscape, and the stress he felt while building a successful business at a young age. We discuss the challenges he faced while growing the business, how he leveraged his fear as a motivational tool, and how faith and believing in himself drove his success. We discuss the pivotal moments that led Steve to walk away from the company, his experience with depression, and how he picked himself back up by his bootstraps to start over. We also discuss Steve’s inspiration behind One Golden Nugget, how focusing on helping others often leads to success, and how he vets the people he connects and collaborates with in life and business.
“Failure is a massive part of the journey. You can’t move forward without it. It’s life’s greatest teacher.” - Steve Foster
