It’s not just Christmas that you can see someone in the front of your house singing. We can’t call it a Christmas carolling since it’s not Christmas songs they’d be singing. It is as if serenading someone’s house but hoping for money in return.
In the Philippines, there are those PWD’s personnel who use different strategies to ask money from the public. Of course, perhaps it’s not a free asking of money since they’d be doing something in return. Dancing, singing, rapping or anything that can entertain someone who will be asking for money. You can’t call it payment for someone’s performance. They fully understand that no one asks them to perform so it will be up to someone whether she’ll/he’ll pay and of course for any amount.
I was watching over the store, maybe near lunchtime. A blinded woman with a companion who just sat down by the time she played her guitar. I heard her singing already in the neighbourhood and I found her voice very calming. I took my camera and recorded her short singing.

Most of us think that being alone is kind of sad. We think it feels lonely to someone spending time alone. However, we are very wrong to think that seeing people alone is lonely. Spending time alone allows you to escape everyday life and mindfulness. It also connects you with nature that gives you relaxation and rejuvenation.
Sometimes being alone helps your mental health not to stress yourself. You can go without worrying what time you need to go and what time you need to go home. Also, it’s okay if you have food or haven’t. There’s nothing you’ll be afraid of since it’s just you alone. No one will keep asking and monitoring about your presence to be in that place. You are responsible for yourself so anything and everything you have or you want is alright.
The good thing about going solo is the fact that you get to decide what you wanted to do and where you wanted to go. You don’t need to worry if you’ll go there late or early since you don’t have someone to worry about. Then when you are alone everything will be according to your plan. No one will tell you what to do and there’s no one for you to be considerate about. Being with people is fun too but being alone is not bad either. It heals your mind to think clearly about what you must do.
I had been eager to go to a place alone. I miss the life I had long ago when I was younger and when I was not married. Obviously, I’ve been surrounded with people especially since we have a small store. So being alone rarely happens and I dislike that feeling when I can’t be alone. That’s why if I have a chance to do so I always go and take advantage of that time.
When I visited home 2 days ago, I was excited. Finally, I had my free time and of course a free feeling. I have a small camping table, so yeah, like a boastful being. I acted like a young one, spending time alone while sightseeing of the beautiful sea and trees. It was an awesome feeling as I can breathe deeply because of the fresh environment I was in.
I brought a small amount of food for snacks. A small speaker to play music to give colors to the environment. Well, I’m always fond of dramatic times. So yeah, the time I had was incredible. Thanks to that incredible feeling I had time to write something and yeah, for solitude.

For me, every person deserves to be happy on Christmas Day. Despite the hardships and shortcomings in life, all of us should take a break from stressful life. A joy or a deeper happiness should be encouraged to everyone. I hope a small token of joy would be a thing.
I grew up in a poor family where the amount of food should be divided equally so that every one can eat. Sadly, if there would be wasted food it means you'd be sorry, there would be no food for you. Yes, life was very hard those days but it didn't let us be discouraged in life. Hence, we inspire ourselves to work harder so that in the future our life would change.
I barely remember but for sure this memory of mine about "Bundle of Joy" was not accurate. It was Christmas back then, maybe I was 10 years old or maybe younger. I could not find joy in my heart even if it was Christmas time. You can not blame me at that time since we did not have food on the table, even though it was just an ordinary one. However, our small back then was already that good and jolly, not only that, a generous one.
They already initiated a theme "bundle of joy" where a small amount of rice, canned goods and noodles would be distributed to mostly poor families. All we needed in every household was to participate in the disco and have fun. Of course my parents participated immediately. Shortcut, they brought food into our house, even though it was not a fancy one, at least our Christmas was not hungry.
That memory itself moved me to create my own "bundle of joy" copied from the same concept in our hometown. But I don't credit it to myself of course since the money I bought with these small amount of food was from the passionate people in helping. I sent them solicitation about my purpose about where I wanted to used the money. They responded me well and I had an amount at least to buy those goods I needed but not everyone could receive. I apologize in advance since not all people could receive and also, not everyone in the village. Those who joined us partying and celebrating Christmas with us.
It was a success and I'm thankful to the sponsors or the people who donated amount. I called their names in front of the people so they learned that the "bundle of joy" they receive didn't come from money personally. I was just a bridge to connect one another and my intention was not to be recognized. Seeing them happy, the one who gave and the one received. What my intention was from the first place was to make my Christmas joyful. That reason enough satisfied me to be happy and be thankful that once again I celebrated a merry Christmas. This was just the beginning because I will try my best to make this happen every Christmas.

Breathe in, breathe out and then take a break. Do these simple tasks for you to be able to have a healthy mind. It's simple but we often neglect these basic steps to heal our mind. We are so busy that we thought working hard is enough to have a better life. What we forget to realize is when our mind gets tired, our body will. Obviously, who will enjoy the fruit of the hard work when there's no "you" to relish it?
Indeed, the modern lifestyle these days teaches us not to breathe. Especially when you're an adult, there is work that we need to take seriously. Of course, families can not be left behind because they might be upset. Even though friends and social responsibilities can be ignored sometimes. There is just that one time that we need to spend time on it. I do not say it's an obligation but somehow we need it. With all these things in mind, at some point, we only rest when we sleep.
The reactions of your body when you abuse it will not be felt right away. It's not spicy food that you can tell immediately, it takes time. You may not notice it, because slowly and slowly, when your mind is exhausted. Parts of your body get numbed and then some parts of you get stiffer. Good luck, when that time comes, sorry but you have now an unhealthy mind and body.
Yes, you should take a break. You need to relax this time but it's okay if you don't spend a penny. There are different simple ways to clear your mind and at the same time heal it. We are all aware of it but we refuse to believe it, thinking that the only thing that can cure it is a man-made medicine. Tablets, capsules, and what else, chemical food supplements? It might be effective but let's not forget the chemical itself and how it tainted the human's body.
Standing or sitting somewhere quiet; Feeling the ambience of the surroundings. Or maybe just be in a place where your mind and body can rest. Breathing simultaneously with a deep one not only lets your lungs feel relaxed. Heart and mind too because by the time you let yourself be at peace. That's what you need for now because you may not notice it. You're stressing yourself lately and this is the only way to escape from it.
Yes, there are dreams you want to achieve but do things slowly and healthily. You will for sure in time, it may not be right away but it will be worth it if you can achieve it with a healthy body. So, yeah, do it, find a place to take a rest and get a kick out of it. You are not wasting time but you're conserving it for many days to come in life.

I'm so flattered by the support the community has given to me after posting the successful sharing of school supplies. It moves me just to think how the hive community provided me with so much support with a bigger part of the act-of-kindness thing. I doubted myself if I could really make this possible. Who am I anyway but not what I imagine now after the successful distribution of the school supplies.
I thought the hive community has the right to glimpse what we've achieved. The happiness of the parents and the smiles of the students. I posted a short video but this time it's a long one, with me talking and with the students receiving school supplies. Sadly, I'm in a place where the internet connection is very slow. So I need to shorten the video to succeed in uploading it.
Forgive me for talking shortly in front of the people. I will do it better some other time and provide a better video of documentation. For now, just bear with what I can share. I'm doing my best to show you an honest activity. I have limited tools so, compared to others I'm not that literally good. I hope I can rely on your support next time because I just realized that there are schools that need help. Anyway, here is the video and I hope you enjoy it.

When you give, you give hope. When it's school supplies, you are not just encouraging children to study but to dream as well. A small or simple act of kindness will be much to others that inspire them to keep going in the future. It might be hard but your actions will teach them how to overcome challenges that they will face. Acts of kindness will help them to resonate that there is still light despite the dark and destructive society.
I was overwhelmed and a little embarrassed. I felt a little conscious of myself having this kind of success. Imagine you'll see people so happy because of what I have done. As a matter of fact, I was like a courier or like a messenger to make this event possible. I don't want to be credited so immediately when I do a short speech. "These school supplies are not mine, they came from hive and dbuzz. I'm just the one who is distributing it," I said to them.
When I entered the school, I saw students and parents were there already. I learned that the head teacher said, "No parent then there will be no school supplies for children." That's why the small school of Anislagon was occupied by parents and students.
Welcome Address
A little later, the distribution was not yet started but the short program started. Led with an opening prayer from the parents, followed with an anthem song. I was flattered that even the Brgy. Captain of the small village was present. He stated his gratitude for the said distribution.
Orientation
When the host welcomed me and with a strong clapping from everyone. I immediately walked on the stage to show myself in front of everyone. I told them that they should be thankful to hive and Dbuzz but not to me. When I mentioned the names of course I assumed that they were curious about it. Without hesitation, I told them hive is a cryptocurrency and Dbuzz is a front end of hive. I recorded a video, I will upload it. I just have a small internet so it is not good for now.
Distribution
The sharing of school supplies went well as we were giving it through year level. I had assistance from my wife together with the utility of Anislagon Elementary School. We did it in a room, other students and parents were waiting outside. The students went inside the room when their year level would be called.
I don't know how to say it but I'm confident that the students and parents were happy about it. The full video will be uploaded some other time because of the internet connection issue. Here's what you will expect in the said video. Dancing of the students, the thoughts of the people there and the smiling faces of the children when receiving the school supplies.

After the said event, a lot of head teachers from different schools calling me and from the school teachers relayed that they need the small help of school supplies as well. We don't need reason but we only need a heart to help. There are no returns but the smile of the people or the students because of small things we help will be priceless.

This is not a movie or a scripted happening. This is just one of the scenes you can always find in the province. The children go to the spring or a small river to take a bath. The children every morning fetch water from the well. The children that are walking in the street with friends, going to school or going to their houses.
It's fun to think that it is as if you're living in the past where the world has no technology yet. It's true that social media is not present in most children but that's what makes this place wonderful. More outdoor activities instead of shutting oneself in a room because the fun can be found in social media. It means to say that you can experience spending time with real people and not fake ones in social media.
It's hard to see these children doing like this? No, it's not, in fact it's fun because you get to experience how fruitful life is when you spend time outside everyday. You don't miss the activities and it means you will be good at socializing. That's why you can have a lot of friends and a lot of people around you to relish. So an adult like me prefers this kind of environment.

It's hard to imagine life without technology and machines. Our job becomes easier, faster and most of all better. In the modernization of the world, only a few countries or places do not adopt this kind of lifestyle. Not enough budget because of requiring a big amount of money to have it or maybe the fewer opportunities for letting the machines do the job. There are some reasons but no one knows except for those who really experience it or live with it.
Somewhere in Eastern Visayas, there are municipalities whose way of living is like long ago. It's hard for me to believe that it still exists in today's world and considering the country's status. It's hard to believe and at the same time, we sympathize with their everyday life they may have been in. However, if you were born with a lifestyle like this it's not that hard even for me. It's just that people who act like they care think it's a hard life. Maybe heavy but only just a little, in fact, it's kind of fun seeing it now since technology changed our way of living.
This boy caught my attention because of how he fetched water. During my younger days with my family, we used to do this. We walked for approximately 10 metres to get water. My arms got weaker or numbed but because we did it together there were still happy faces found. We ran, we played and most of us had a stronger bond by doing it together. That's why the relationship of being a family was there. Also, it taught us a valuable lesson on how not to underestimate life. We should work hard for it if we want to achieve something and another thing, the achievement that went through a hard process would last.

The noise of the environment sometimes pushes us not to rest very well. Yes, we fall asleep when we arrive at home after the whole day of work. It's undeniable, our body is exhausted from all those. Even so, when our body could rest but not fully. Every noise can disturb our sleep, even if our body doesn't have enough time to rest; The noises of everywhere will force us to be wide awake. If not from the neighbors, there are populated vehicles outside. We are desperate to have plenty of rest but we can not because there are so many stressful things that keep bothering our minds.
However, when you wake up in an environment like this in the video above. Even if you want to rest more, the surroundings will encourage you to go out and have a walk. From the sound of the insects, and birds, and the green view you'll see. I'm sure you can not help yourself but to love it. It is very relaxing and very satisfying. Suwaki is a type of sea urchin that can be eaten. They can be found where the sea is not that deep. They can mostly be found in seaweeds, the green one and the yellow one. There are different types of sea urchin but this is popular and even expensive when you want to order it. If you just want to try eating it, you should just order instead of searching by yourself. There are things you need to keep in mind if you want to find it by yourself.
Things you need to remember if you'll find a sea urchin.
- Of course, make sure it's not a small one or there will be nothing you can eat inside of it.
- If you want to search for yourself, go to the yellow seaweed, not the green one. Most suwaki can be found in the green and does not have any flesh or the edible part inside usually colored orange.
- If you found one, don't keep it longer in your hand because it can be itchy and sometimes stingy. We called that part of the suwaki to be itchy as a flower.
- They can be found under the seaweed hiding so you need to uncover the seaweed if you want to find one.
It might sound easy to find one since the ocean is so vast but actually it's not. Maybe because a lot of people are getting it when the seawater level is low. It can be found even if the seawater is high but you need to be a good swimmer because you need to stay longer under the sea.
What I'm telling you now is specifically searching for suwaki sea urchin. There are many types of sea urchins and they have different characteristics and also can be found. There are others that can be found under the sand and rocks. So the information I just said earlier was focused on suwaki only.
Sea urchins can be eaten raw or cooked. However, according to most people who have eaten it, they prefer the fresh one, even me. So you can find a lot of people eating along the shore. It can be tidy or annoying when eating it indoors because of the many things you need to clean inside of a sea urchin.
I have a video but let me write a step-by-step procedure on how to eat.
HOW TO EAT A SEA URCHIN
The key to enjoying fresh, delicious sea urchin, is to separate the orange meat from the internal walls of the spiny shell. These five orange pieces are actually the reproductive organs of the sea urchin. This is the edible one that most people love to eat.
- Cut a sea urchin into half.
- Remove or rinse what's inside until the five orange pieces are the only ones left.
- Dip it in seawater to make sure it's clean, however, don't use fresh water or else the taste of it will change or will not be delicious anymore.
- You can either remove the five orange pieces by using a spoon and dip them in vinegar or you can place the vinegar inside the cleaned shell sea urchin.
- Pair it with rice and then add a little bit of vinegar to an emptied shell to satisfy yourself.
Note: Don't sip the remaining liquid in an emptied shell or you'll itch yourself. Don't ignore it because it will feel like burning your lips.
It's just easy to do it if you have an idea how to do it.

When people hear the word "Alone", it evokes in their thoughts about emotions. Loneliness, sadness and emptiness. Well, not just one person but some people misunderstood the feeling of being alone and even underestimated. Being alone doesn't conclude those kinds of emotions; It does not always equate to negativity. For those who don't understand the good impact of being alone, let me tell you this. It can be a source of strength and self-discovery. That's why it's not bad to be alone.
It's true that in today's society, it tends to place significant connectivity to one another. There is social media, mobile phones, and sometimes it feels like there is no peace at all. From the time you woke up, text messages, notifications, updates or what to post. Instead of resting or having time to be alone, it's hard to make it happen because of those. People think we are always available and easily reachable. I don't understand but it seems the world is too busy for some unreasonable things.
If we are alone, no distractions or external influences. We can have the opportunity to connect to ourselves and even find solitude because of it. We will now begin to realize what really makes us happy and what we really want to do in life. This is the time to delve deeper into our thoughts and explore our emotions without any interference. It is at this moment that we have nothing to think about and worry about. It's all about us, Yeah, the time being alone is just about you and the world that surrounds you.
Thanks to no one to talk to and someone to laugh with, I enjoyed watching the peaceful sea. I did nothing but it felt awesome just by that. Lying on the shore, I didn't care for a short time. It was extraordinary that even though I was not smiling or laughing at that time I felt extremely happy judging by how comfortable and content I was.
Yeah, the video was so boring to watch. Who wants to watch me being in the video when I'm not an actor or a popular influencer person. But I hope the people get the idea of it. I think it's redundant if I'm going to explain what I was doing there when it was very obvious why. Maybe watch the video and think that you are the one who is there.

Education plays a major role in overcoming poverty. It has been passed on from generation to generation that if you want to break the cycle of poverty you should study and then have a proper education. It has also been recognized that education is a powerful tool to help in achieving a brighter future. Even though someone was born into poverty or has a poor parent, they can break the chains of poverty through the help of education.
Having said that, there are still families who are struggling to access education. Many children are in a family who can not afford the basic needs of studying. Like the basic school supplies, pens, paper, bags, and notebooks. Though others can easily afford it, there are parents who are low-income and find it hard to acquire. Luckily, one of my friends on Hive, namely @chrisrice, a co-founder of D.Buzz (@dbuzz) offered help to those children I personally chose, from a school I noticed has the students with the hardest upbringing.
Now, for a better understanding of the situation of the children. The video will help you to understand when I interviewed one of the teachers at Anislagon Elementary School. You will understand more about how these children need school supplies badly. I had a few questions for the teacher about the situation of the children there.
I will use the earnings of this post to add funds for more school supplies and for the future of other schools who might need it as well. As a matter of fact, many teachers asked me to donate when they learned about my plans.
I'm just an ordinary person who can't do much without the support of good hearted people. All I can do is ask support for the children who are unfortunate to lack basic school supplies. Once again, I need support from you guys about this matter.

Sometimes we forget how valuable the money is. We keep buying things all the time and we never think how much those are worth. We ignore the fact that we spend money even on unnecessary things. Even though we don't have unlimited cash and the next thing we know is we are short in cash. We keep looking and searching in our pockets if we still have a certain amount. Unfortunately, we don't have plants or trees that bear the fruits of money.
The worst thing that will happen is overspending. We will just be surprised that there's nothing more to pick in our pocket. This time we will be hoping for coins to use because we don't have more left. Then we will realize the coins that we neglected and forgotten will be helpful this time. Well, if we add up or sum up the coins it can be worth that much. Though sometimes we think of it as having no value if we have a lot of money in our pocket.
I just realized how important the coin is these days. Whether it's a cent, a 1 peso or could be of lesser value; as long as it's a money there will always be a value for it. Before my wedding, I saved coins every time I had one especially when buying and the change were coins. I ignored the coins I was saving but of course, not the fact that there were coins.
I started saving in the month of April and stopped in the month of July. The month of my wedding was that month so I decided to use the coins I was saving. I was very surprised when I found that I saved so much that I was able to pay a bigger amount of expenses. I never thought I could pay it with just the coins that I saved for months. Of course, I was very happy to learn about it, especially that I knew for a fact that it's the coins I never expected much of.
That's why we should not understimate the essence of a single coin. A certain amount will never be completed if not because of a coin. Also, it's a good saving if you want extra money not designated to pay for something. You will never know that you could have extra money for yourself because of too many expenses. Save coins so that you think you're saving less but actually at the end you are saving more.

Province life is fun simply because it offers a unique type of lifestyle. Also, there's that tranquility and peace it offers. Away from the noisy, polluted, crowded, and stressful environments of the cities. In the province, it feels like you can rest or maybe you don't need to worry much. As long as there is food and some essential needs. No need for material things even though mostly we can find happiness in them. In the province, it's not just about those material things you can make yourself happy.
Although, that's not just because of it, probably because of the different things you can enjoy here. Just like previous weeks ago when I came along with these children in going to a small river which is popular with the locals. I am not from here so in terms of knowledge of beautiful places I'm ignorant I must say. I love nature, whether it's the sea or mountains as long as it's not crowded and polluted. I always find myself in awe of discovering new places.
I suddenly remembered my childhood while I was watching these children playing and enjoying the river. Money was not necessary at the time, as long as there was the food they could eat they were satisfied. Well, from the first place they were hoping to enjoy the river but not the food they were bringing.
Furthermore, it gave me so much joy just watching them so happy. It became my stress reliever and for an instant, my occupied thoughts were emptied. I was there to relax and feel free of what was going on in my life. It helped me to lessen the burden inside me and for a short time I only thought about making myself happy.

Marriage happens only once in a lifetime in my own opinion. There might be others who have experienced it a couple of times but not for me. I'm the type of guy who thinks love only truly feels for one woman. I'm a different kind of a guy. I always thought that once I set my heart to one it means forever. I have this feeling that if it's not with her to grow I may die instead. I can't accept the pain of seeing my love show happiness to others but not to me. Yes, you concluded me selfish but that's how I express my love when I'm truly in love.
So, coming to marriage and decided to make it official with the blessing of God through the wedding in the church. I thought not to end that special event for just a single day. That's why, before the wedding we hired a photographer and a videographer for this very own matter. No matter how many days, months or years will pass I always remember this day we chained our hearts to one another. Growing old comes for every one of us but the happiest memory of our lives will not wither like the true beauty of a flower.
It was the weekend, I thought that would be the best day to shoot since we would enjoy the day. Only this time we wouldn't think of anything else but to enjoy our time together like artists in movies. We're not professional artists but we could enjoy the time we were bound to be at that time. It may have cost a lot compared to a simple one but we were satisfied with the results.
I was happy watching the movie while noticing our smiles that some were scripted and some were not. There were flaws and mistakes but we thought it was alright because that's us. We are very sure that we did our best to not fake ourselves on a big screen or in social media when we shared this video. Our wedding ended but I just recovered from the exhaustion of working hard to make our special day happen. We required our strength and time because we didn't have enough money but we were okay with that. We knew that since.we didn't have much money we must put a lot of effort into making it happen.

The best feeling you'll ever have when going to a peaceful and beautiful place is to enjoy a long time with your loved ones. It's true that being in a place far from the stressful world will help you to loosen up. However, it's not just like that, you need to spend more time with people whom you love and then do stuff you haven't done for such a long time. That's why, sometimes, it is not just the place that matters but the activities you'll do.
It was that time when I was with my loved ones and fully enjoyed the time together. Just imagine how worth the time was when cooking without anything you use. Like the old days where technology was not born. It was pure nature and man's power to do those things to survive in this world. This is about how life was simple during the old days.
This video highlighted the appreciation of nature and humanity. The time quality that happened during this time was because there was no internet connection or gadgets. It was about the quality time we had since there were no obstacles like technology.

A calm environment results in a calm mental state. I don't say it's just me who is battling my current life status. It's not just me for sure, others are doing the same just like me, in fact, maybe some have it worse. That's why, I created this video purposely to me but how about the others? I'm not 100% sure but some people need to watch this short video. It's not much of a help but even at least a little it will.
The bougainvillea flower is so pretty after all. Its color is very light and you will not get tired of loving it, instead, you'll hook up to it. Also, maybe I don't need to explain what kind of feeling it can benefit through watching this video. All of us have different perceptions of things. Playing is one of the things children are good at. No matter how the parents prohibit them from playing. They can not be stopped because this is where their happiness can be found. Instead of prohibiting them, let them be. We are aware of how does it feel when one thing that makes us happy won’t happen.
It was a fine afternoon when I saw these children playing outside. This is the spot you’d expect to see them. Aside from the concreted ground or floor and road, all of it is land or rice fields.
Seeing them so happy influenced me to be happy as well. It’s not that much of a happiness but it helped me to feel free and the feeling inside became lighter. Yes, I noticed that the happiness of others will help us to feel the same. We are not envious or jealous of happiness. It’s just that we wish to be so much happy like them.
So yeah, I recorded a short video because I had fun watching these children playing and having fun. My intention was to share that kind of happiness that hoping others who watch this video will feel the same.

When I posted in dbuzz about it I wasn't referring just to everyone. As a matter of fact, it was for me to think about my future. Although, there were just times it was very tiring. I felt exhausted that I just motivated myself through my thoughts so I would not forget why I am working hard. I'm not sitting in a chair of gold or in a bedroom full of money. That's why there is no room for me to act like nothing's going on or to be precise, no time for goofing around.
When you are poor, you need to keep on working hard even though you are feeling ill because of over-fatigue from working hard; You should force yourself or your body to keep going. Just like recently what happened to me these few days? I was not feeling well, my legs weakened, as if I was tired of standing. Well, it was to be expected since in the whole week, there was no day I miss working and traveling.
My wedding is coming and I haven't found enough amount to use. It's not that I'm thinking of a grand one but at least it can be remembered since it only happens once in a lifetime. I was so busy searching and earning money that I forgot to consider the limitations of my body. I thought there was no choice I could make since I'm not rich. There were those times I wanted to cry because of desperation but I just didn't by letting myself understand through quotes.
Then yesterday, I wanted to take a break from everything. I felt very stressed that I didn't know what to do. I decided to go to the beach to relax. The peaceful view of the sea helped me to calm down. The fresh blow from the sea wind helped me to take a deeper breath. It was a long day that I felt like I was alive again thanks to it.
I hope this short video will help someone to feel alive again just like me. I hope someone rewards oneself for taking a break from stress and enjoying it once. It was not easy to do, especially when caught up in thinking of too many obligations. Just don't forget that you can not keep going once you abandon the joy of life and focus on problems.

Every day is not special seeing children at the shore, playing, swimming, or fishing. Sea is a paradise for every child after all. Well, in fact, not just for children but for some adults like me. Sorry but it's not about me, this is all about a young boy fishing in broad daylight alone at the shore. I was planning to go for a swim but this young boy caught my interest. His nickname is "Duterte", don't ask me why because that's the only thing I know about him.
He was using a fishing hook in fishing and using bread as bait. If you'll watch the video while hoping for you to enjoy it. We had a little talk about this kind of fishing, which is not familiar to me. Obviously, there's nylon and a fishing hook which are the basic materials in fishing. I was just surprised when I saw that the bait he was using was bread.
I wondered how he made it as bait since the bread is soft and at the same time can easily be dissolved in the water. So I'd been watching him while recording it. Some of my confusion was answered but not all. lol, He's just a child after all but, even so, it helped me to understand and to learn about it.
I suggest you watch the video for you to understand as well. In the video, I created a subtitle for it to be easier to understand. Still, if you are not talking, perhaps you'll enjoy watching this young boy fishing.
Also, if you are curious about the boy. Unfortunately, I don't know much about him. What I only know is that he is still studying in elementary school. I saw him fishing because he sold the fish. Not all children are lucky in terms of life status but even so, being hungry is a choice to make. Don't include this young boy because he's a hardworking one.

When I was young, my father was still alive. Many of my classmates discriminated against me because my father was a farmer. Of course, I was embarrassed, and even ashamed of that kind of job because as a child like me didn't understand the importance of being a farmer. Maybe I was just not proud of this kind of job because I only adored those people who wore uniforms.
Time went by and that child version of me turned into an adult. Instead of working in a crowded environment, I chose to be in a place where it's quiet and peaceful. It's true that it's hard to get or to have the things I want materially. Considering it's far from civilization and in the same situation, not too many businesses decide to invest. Well, it's a matter of understanding if you want that kind of lifestyle, together with the kind of environment.
I didn't realize how fun and amazing to have this kind of life. You are just not having fun growing plants but are amazed as well when you can finally eat the plants you've been taking care of. Just yesterday we decided to eat the sweet potato leaves in our meal. We saw another crop bearing fruits under the soil. You can tell that it has a fruit when you'd see the leaves that are changing its color.
Although, farming doesn't guarantee to always have a good harvest. You can be so sure that there's always food you can eat from your plants. You may not earn well from it, at least you can not be hungry, thanks to it. You don't need to buy if you don't have money because it's yours. Whenever you feel like eating you can anytime. It's just a matter of choosing the kind of lifestyle and together with awareness.Why you'll ask much when you know your situation. If you'll understand it and don't ask much about life you will be happier by Farming.

It's a way to escape from the stressful environment and also to pause from everything that worries you. Far from the forceful community or a society full of desires. It's not just leisure to have a great time like spending in a beautiful place or even a simple one as long as it's peaceful. You know where to find those places and you know why you should be at those places.
I'm talking about a quiet place and a very relaxing place. Of course, places like the sea and mountains are perfect for it. If you want to cherish or want to pull the energies of positivity, this place is something. Not just spend a short time, you can enjoy yourself like you're living a life like that. You can feel it when you go there to rest, to cook, and be with nature. Nature will heal you if you let yourself free like you're one of nature.
It was a #beautifulsunday indeed yesterday like @ace108 said. It's not just a #sublimesunday like @coff33a said because it's a special day. It has been a while since I went out to enjoy myself like a teenager. The way they think about life; Free and no worries. I have so many problems to worry about, bills and food. However, I made sure to forget it all while I was outside. I wanted to make myself fully so I could burst my laugh like it was the last.
When I went home my body got lighter. When I woke up my head got clearer. So I created a short video of our experience yesterday. The photos will be in a different post that I'm currently thinking about how to construct the words. For now, I hope you enjoyed the video of mine.

The rice field is not just a plant to be food. A plant that can provide such a beautiful view. Thanks to this kind of environment, someone who has negative thoughts will rise up. It's the weekend, of course, it's time for enjoying. It's time to excuse oneself to do something to relax. This green rice field is what I found when I was searching for content to share. The strong wind from everywhere slapped me to make me wake up. Not literally waking up but just a feeling to inspire me to do something amazing.
I thought I should create it with a video. I thought it would be nicer to see the views moving. I thought of sharing the views I saw when I was there. Images are fine as well but a video seems more amazing. The trees, plants, birds, wind, and sound of it when it blows, and many more. That's what I thought when I decided to capture it as a video.

Watching the world around me I couldn't help but be thankful. I'm so thankful that another day has been given to me. Just being able to wake up after so many health doubts. It's rightful to appreciate life because why not. Everything around me is beautiful. The sky, the wind that blows, trees and plants, animals, and of course, the people. Maybe more than I could not imagine even in myself. All I'm sure about is that I'm so happy to live for another day.
I created a short video because I thought people would surely notice it by watching it rather than reading it. I understand why so even just a second of their time I can show them why we should be thankful for. There is more, in fact, it's just a small portion of life we should be thankful for. I hope my small video will help those who are feeling mistrust of themselves.
Also, I want to remind them that we should not be stuck or isolate ourselves. There is beauty outside to motivate us to stop thinking of doubts and will continue life. When the sea is very low or low tide. A lot of food can be found, sea urchins are just one of them just like what I posted previously. Unlike the other seas in the region, the sea in our place is low. There are deeper seas but you need to sail miles to reach them. Also, the sea here 4 km starting from the shore is completely dry when the sea is very low.
It's not good for fishermen because they need to spend gas to sail but for the locals, it's not. Thanks to this very low sea there is a lot of food to be found. Sea urchins are the common food to be found but there are more if you'll spend more time searching.
I was fortunate when I found a small octopus when my only intention was to have some walking and enjoy the view of the dried sea. But of course, enough for these words because I explained them in my video.

My advance apologies because I was talking in our dialect here. I want you to read what I wrote here for you to understand more about this video. Thank you in advance.
There is a lot of food that can be found in the sea. Like those seashells, fish, of course, sea urchins which I wanted to find in this vlog, and many more. We were searching in the deep part of the sea because this town it's different from my hometown. When it's low tide the seawater is totally drained. It's not that the sea urchins can only be found with seawater that drains. Specifically, this type of sea urchin named suwaki can be found when there's yellow seaweed. This type of seaweed can be found most of the time in the rocks but can be found sometimes but not too many in sands.
This type of sea urchin is hard to find if you're not familiar with it because it's almost the same colors as the seaweed. Added to the situation that the sea is deep, you can not have clearer looks if you're too far away under the sea. Only capable people who can dive into a deeper sea have the advantage to find it. They'll stay longer under the sea and that makes them more capable of finding this type of sea urchin. As you can see I couldn't dive into a deeper sea so I stayed most of the time floating at sea level.
This is a little bit longer since we didn't have the chance to find this sea urchin easily. The Southwind Monsoon disturbed the sea so it was wavy and because of it, the sea was blurry as well. Also, all we did was float and swim while searching because we couldn't use the boat because of the bigger waves. This usually happens because the boat was too small to fight the waves. You can see most of the time we were just floating while continuing our searching. But I don't want to disappoint you so at the end of the video I assure you to see the sea urchin we were searching for. Just a short video for a beautiful view but I few images will be seen next.
Let's not think that every ending is ugly. Sunset is proof that sometimes it can be beautiful. No matter what happens don't think life is unfair to you. There may be times when it is hard to smile because life seems unfair. Just think of it that it's part of life to have greater happiness. Don't give up and continue fighting.
It was a hotter afternoon. It seems that the world right now is different compared to before. A lot of worries and a lot of scary things are happening. I'm not sure where or when to start pulling strength. I don't know what's going to happen later and tomorrow. Although one thing is for sure, there will always be something beautiful if we are not afraid or tired of seeking it.
While enjoying the beautiful sunset I realized something about the past. It was about sadness and happiness in life. To be precise, about goodbyes for someone who was dear to me. Of course, goodbyes are so hard to handle especially when it means not seeing someone anymore. I'm sure that longing for that person in the future will come. Not right away, but in time as time passes realizing I can't see them anymore. Indeed, they can not be replaceable in the heart and thought. However, we will understand it clearly. It's not about replacing someone but it's about moving on because a new page will unfold.
The sunset that I saw was just so pretty that there was no way I could resist it. To tell you the truth, nothing comes to mind while enjoying it. I was focused on appreciating its beauty instead of thinking about different things and different matters. I thought it was not the time for that and just enjoyed what was going on. I remember from a saying that today is a gift and that was true. It was true that I didn't have the time to keep sulking about it.
I couldn't help myself to be emotional upon seeing such beauty. I'm always dramatic in many ways, for those who don't know I'm an overthinker. I'm kind of tired of being like this but I don't know how to avoid it. There will always be reasons and imagination for random things. Sometimes it's hurting me and sometimes it's delighting me. Well, from what I understand, what choice do I have since it's part of me?
From mumbling or complaining that doesn't state the fact that I was not enjoying this beautiful sunset. I recorded a video as well to have a clearer view of where it's moving. We all know that a movie is better compared to a photograph for some reason. I hope you enjoy watching the beautiful scenery.

This is why the Roman Catholics celebrated Easter Sunday. Sunday where Jesus Christ rose from the dead like a mother who was searching for his son. This is a story where what a mother should do. Watch the video for you to understand what is this tradition for Filipinos when it comes to Easter Sunday.
This is part of our tradition which is influenced by religion. We, Roman Catholics, let ourselves be reminded of the sacrifices of Jesus. We're talking about the time when he was crucified. We are always thankful for what he did to us, and we will never forget it. That's why we honor his sacrifices and at the same time, we repent. No specific date, I don't understand how they declared it when it is the holy week but I just learned it through seeing it in the Calendar.
Basically, when the holy week started most people repent by not eating what they want and avoiding it. When Friday comes we assume that it's the day of the death of Jesus Christ. Some punish themselves in any way they'd think God will forgive them through their sacrifices and punishments.
When Sunday arrives, usually it's at midnight but due to some reason, they made the meeting at 3 a.m. where the opposite of the time Jesus rose from the dead at 3 in the afternoon. So a statue of Jesus will be carried by the boys and walked for a procession either in the whole town or just a block away from the church.
On the other hand, Mother Mary's statue will be carried as well by the girls. The same as what the boys did, they will be having a procession but on the opposite path. This was done according to the bible where Mother Mary searched for her son after she visited the graveyard and Jesus Christ's body was not there.
She will search for him and in that meeting place, they'd see each other. Everyone celebrates like it's Christmas day. That's why when they saw each other, the people offered to praise songs and dance because of the happiness. Like an ordinary human being, dancing because of joy and that's what this person does. Anyway, just watch the video of what the people did when Jesus Christ met up in a certain place.

The month of April until May is recognized as the summer season. This is being misunderstood because there's no summer season in the country of the Philippines. We only have rainy days and sunny days; though April to May is the hottest of the sunny season. This season rarely rains and if it does we thought it will not be normal.
During this month you can witness the beauty of nature in the morning. Maybe you only heard the rooster crowing because of the sound of birds that were singing and the insects too were slow. Even so, waking up welcomed the beautiful nature and its sound provided my thoughts with so much peacefulness. It might be not special which is true but it just depends on someone who understands.

The white sand beach always attracts us. It often caught our attention by just glimpsing on. How much more in this town of San Francisco Southern Leyte at the small village of Pantao. They only have small stone beaches and barely find sands on the shoreline. Though their seawater is already a beauty, a deep one and of course a very clear one. Just the feeling of having white sand seems to be telling us to love the whole package of the sea's beauty. All of those thoughts and desires were filled with excitement when hoping to see this white sand beach.
The beach is not yet private, of course, you can't expect super clean surroundings and cottages are built. That's why when we first took off at the roadside where the motorcycle can only pass through. We started walking and left the motorcycle beside the street. I heard from the people here that if not because of the typhoon the motorcycle can get inside. It would be nice if you only walk for a short time or distance. The typhoon has already happened and we can't do anything to stop it.
It's quite far, we walked for an hour to reach the shore or that white sand beach. We passed the falling trees, forced to pass by those growing bigger grasses and leaves from trees. It was not an easy road I must say but it's part that made the adventure fun. You can watch the adventure through my video but I'll share some photos as well.

The white sand is only approximately 5 meters long. After, you can see small stones and bigger stones that are not movable. The sea is so deep that you need to be careful even if you are a few steps away from the shore. There are 4 towns on this island and of course, you can expect a deeper sea.
If you are looking at it from the sea you can also think that this beach is an island itself. From the trees above and the short white sand beach here. Everyone will think it's a separate island but no it's not, just the white sand beach looks like it.
Though this beach is a bit far from the roadside. It's a little bit scary as well because you need to walk through very high cliffs. Who would have thought it was going to the sea after witnessing wild trees and plants. Well, that would be nice since not all people are aware of this place. You don't need to worry if you can still use this beach or not.
For now, it's not a good idea to visit this beach. Pieces of wood, garbage, and everything that makes the shore look dirty are here. It's not easy to clean or remove because it's heavy, most of them are bigger than a person. Though for someone not being picky the place is nice. From the view of the shore and the quality of the sand that is worth sitting and lying in it. Most of the people who visited this beach loved the seawater. Maybe because you can't find a single waste floating on it. It's to be expected since the current is so strong that even a single man who doesn't swim will be carried along. Well, as long as someone will not swim far from the shore, especially the children, there's nothing to worry about.
Let's not just assume so much beauty to find out on this beach. It's not being shown to the tourists yet so obviously no money was spent to beautify this place. If someone loves adventure and exploring new places, this could be perfect.

Like no other, the province always makes you feel comfortable to live in. Despite the hardships in life talking about job opportunities. Despite the limited things you can buy. Despite the simplest way of life you can ever have. It's nice to live in the province if you'll not just focus on the things the province doesn't have. We are aware of what is and we can think to ourselves that it's alright as long as we are happy.
Far from civilization, yes. Nothing much to offer about material entertainment. Like slow internet connection and some more that people might think living in the province is boring. Well, there are some who think that way we can not argue with that. However, if people understand the beauty of life living in the province compared to the cities which are very crowded, noisy, and polluted. People will soon realize that searching for something new about material things is not important. What is important is a peaceful and healthy way of living.
The toxicity of people is not that much in the province to be found. Here, you can find true people with whom it is fun to share conversations. After work, they are outside roaming around or just sitting beside the road. Like you, they are doing the same and to ease the tiredness from the whole day's heavy job. A fun conversation with neighbors or friends that allows exchanging laughter is the medicine for exhaustion. It's not that special, it's like everyday happens but the feeling is always amazing to feel after a tiring day.
Aside from everything, the province offers beautiful nature. The clean and green environment provides delicious air and a lighter feeling too. I have a video here and you know how obvious the beautiful feeling of being here is. Especially when the heat of the sun burns you and you'll think of hiding with these trees while watching the surroundings. I will not get tired of seeing this kind of view and that's why I prefer the province rather than big cities.

It takes more time and effort in fishing bigger fish. The budget as well will be more but it's worth it when you can see there's a catch. I've been busy with a lot of things and of course searching for food. Last time I joined some fishermen to go fishing using a fishing hook but a bigger one and a longer one because we're targeting bigger fish that time.
Even though we didn't have a catch, as I said in my last post. Still thankful for the food that we received. You can't hear me talking so much because I was using a soundproof action camera. Even so, I think you'll enjoy watching this video of what we did during fishing. The video will speak more for you to understand what we were doing.

There are different ways of fishing for some reasons. Some are using a way of fishing suited for the types of fish. There are fish that can not be caught through fishing hooks or baiting. So they can only be caught through a fishing net. Just a little bit of information about fishing nets, by the way. I didn't have the chance to share the terrifying incident when Southern Leyte Philippines was bombarded with a typhoon. I couldn't upload it because I was not ready to accept that it was real and also I was busy with other things. For now, we're slowly recovering from the pain it gives to us. Also, I think it's better to face rather than pretending that it didn't give us a traumatic incident.
This video was recorded before and after the typhoon. It will be different if you can witness it through a live one compared to images. Accepting the pain it gives and at the same time, I'm wishing it will never happen again. Also, I'm planning to upload the current situation we're having now. We're slowly recovering and repairing the houses. Though it was not easy to do because of financial needs. Somehow we can do it slowly soon.

We Filipinos love hanging out with friends. If we don't do anything you can find us in the street, someone's house, at the park, at the shore or in the mountains. Of course, with friends to enjoy the time spent. It's like it has been part of ourselves that we must spend time with neighbors or the people surrounding us.
As you can see after the typhoon there was a lot of destruction around. Houses and many more, that's why for some it's not the right to have fun or celebrate the time with beer or alcohol in the center. In the center means when a group of friends gathered and spent a long time having random conversations. You don't need to be embarrassed if you don't have money in your pocket when the guys decide to have a drink. Some of the group will start buying and buying drinks for all the friends.
On Sunday, the electricity returned. Then, one of the friends treated us to beer, nothing he said just that he wanted to drink. It's better if the beer can be drunk and enjoyed with friends. To sip the delicious taste and to make the time drinking better.
Having fun started at 6 in the afternoon and lasted until 10 in the evening. Most of us got drunk and it would be funnier when there was music. Since electricity has returned we played the music and started dancing. Just ignore the problem for now and focus on having fun so that tomorrow will be greater than it was yesterday.

We human beings can always rely on nature. It's true that these days technologies make our life easier and make things possible. However, in some circumstances, we will realize no technology can beat nature. Not forgetting that inventions came from the world's resources. Without it, I don't think humans can come up with ideas.
After the super typhoon, everything is in destruction. No electricity and we are all aware that the water resources made possible because of it. There may be choices like a generator or solar but upon thinking deeply. What these machines need came from the world's resources themselves.
It gave me ideas of how helpful to be near with respect. The small river or spring is just one of them. In this video, it's very clear how the water that came from the world helped these people. Not just from washing clothes, taking a bath but also the water they're drinking. Some richer water fuel suppliers indeed can provide water through the generator but it can be limited depending on how much people ordered. Unlike this small river where the spring is not limited even though people will use it every day.
I created a short video to show you how helpful this small river is to the people here. Unlike technology, our life can be easier but still, these days what's important is to live. Water is one of the essential needs of every human being. Sorry for not being so good at creating a video because I thought what's the content sometimes is important rather than the quality of a video.

I don't know if people found this video or whatsoever. I don't care to tell you the truth because I'm so excited about the value. Unlike USD, in our Philippines money or PHP currency, it gives so much value. Imagine 1 hive will be 80X times or it will be bigger. I'm not being exaggerated here because again I'm just excited.

I always wondered how those people made the candle. Of course, I know that it was made from wax but it made me wonder. I'm thankful that I witnessed how it was made and learned the process of it. Though the measurements were not being calculated and being told since it was not necessary. It depends on how much amount you need to have in making a candle.

Let's start the morning with a beautiful feeling by seeing beautiful things. It can be a coincidence or expected, let yourself understand that the first impression in the morning will last until the evening. Just like being positive in life, avoiding negative thoughts encourages positivity.
I just remember that Sunday should be a #beautifulsunday said by @ace108 and you can have a #sublimesunday by @coff33a. That's why I'm sharing pretty images I captured when I was in the ocean. It's a different capture when the whole area is open and it feels like the mountain is the same level where you are at. You can tell just by seeing these images that I captured early in the morning. Unlike capturing the sunrise from below, it can't cover up the exposure of it.
I decided to come along with a young fisherman that is a friend of mine. I was thinking about creating content about their way of fishing in the deepest part of the ocean from our small village. I'm still editing the video because I don't know how to and there are still some unnecessary views. There's that dark view that it's hard to see when viewing from the phone.
So, instead of thinking about my video of that fishing content. Let me share this one for now because it took my breath away seeing this beautiful sunrise. I don't know how you feel about it but as for me, it filled my thoughts of beauty when seeing this.
We were searching for that school of fish we hoped to catch. That type of fish usually swims together with many of them. It usually soars above where it's visible to see but this time they were not there. We kept on paddling and paddling while the fishing material was already placed under the water. This should be done to avoid them not catching if they would not be found. Sometimes they're just under the deep sea where it's hard to find and only the fishing material can tell if there's a catch or not.
I was not enjoying it while I came along with my fisherman friend. I couldn't find a single fish swimming at sea level. That's why I decided to capture the sunrise instead to lift up my disappointing thoughts. It's so pretty that it's incomparable to the sunrise I had seen when I was in our small village. It was a superb view watching it while riding on a boat at sea level. What surprised me as well was the feeling that the height of it was almost the same as sea level.
I'm going to share more photos this time and let you all decide if the beauty of the sunrise gives you joy.

This type of basketball didn't have the rules from the basketball you used to watch in the NBA or bigger leagues of basketball. It's a type of basketball where the players can decide if it's a foul or not. Time is not necessary as well because they're only concluding who wins from the specific scores they negotiated. It's like street basketball but I'm not sure if it's the same in other countries.
Basketball is one of the most popular sports in our country. A lot of people are playing this sport but it's too bad nowadays it's not allowed in our place. You know that pandemic thing, a lot of restrictions protocols preventing games to be played. They said the gathering is not allowed so it means a lot of sports that gather a lot of people are prohibited to play. Since it's not playable on the official basketball court in our Brgy. This neighborhood built a single ring in their backyard and a lot of teenagers are coming because the government didn't notice this place. It means to say they can continue playing.
It has been a while since the pandemic started and until now it continues. It's so sad that people nowadays are limiting themselves to enjoy and have fun. We all know how frightening this virus is or how dangerous it is but just imagine not having fun will come up with a threat to a healthy being. I can tell how someone feels sick whenever he/she can't go outside. It creates an anxious feeling where someone's mind will never stop thinking if he/she is still fine.
I tried to be in quarantine for more than 14 days when I arrived home. It was a health protocol that must be followed if you're from the city and went home. Everyone is required to undergo quarantine to isolate themselves for more than 14 days. It said that to make sure those who just arrived didn't bring the virus before going home. I know it's protecting everyone from that virus but isn't it too much not to play and have fun? It's absurd to realize that even if no single person was involved in the gathering from another place, is it still considered a threat from the virus? Sometimes people are thinking nowadays that it's just the government's way to prevent people from doing things they love.
No need for investigating, it's obvious that these restrictions are not for the people's safety but for the people in the government to do the things they want. Just for an example is corruption, a bunch of money can be acquired in this pandemic from what I learned. That's why sure this is one of the reasons why they continue implementing these unhealthy protocols for their own benefits.
That's why having this basketball ring at the back of someone else's house gives joy to many. It's not just about providing sweat by playing but also having fun. It makes someone healthier because it lets someone forget how unfair the world is now. The time of playing makes someone happy and at least they can still find brightness in this dark world.
I play there sometimes if I get bored. I was a basketball player long ago but not that good and not that bad. An average basketball player who enjoys the game of basketball. I've been loving this sport and I've been eager to play in a time where people are watching.
I'm not sure if the people from health didn't find out about this place. It's fine as long as they will not let it close because it's the only place we have to play basketball.
