This podcast is the first of a two episode profile of Jim Taccono in his own words. Born to a middle class family, he went to school, became a good tennis player and a great tennis coach, became a seasoned forensic scientist, fell in love, had a daughter.
And he suffered for years with an increasingly painful autoimmune disease.
Jim approaches this philosophically and with a bit of humor you will enjoy. During this first episode his condition resists intense pharmaceutical and medical attention. His bright spirit and chatty demeanor resist years of harrowing experiences. By the end of the episode Jim is emboldened to search for something else to provide relief and healing. In this podcast the Endourage Chief Executive Officer, Isaac Foster, tells the story of how he became an advocate of clinician grade CBD. It’s a story that starts in Mississippi with a German Civil Rights activist falling in love with an organizer. Prevented from marrying in the US, they have their son, Isaac, in Germany. Following a childhood split between Manhattan and Germany, he apprentices with a German engineering firm only to have the epiphany that he’s an American drawn to American-style entrepreneurial opportunity. From there his experiences in construction management, on Wall Street, and as a CFO, lead to start ups in “pharmtech" and marijuana. To be sure, Isaac's journey is driven by his talent and hard work, but also by a belief in promise of abundant possibility. There's a feeling that we're missing out on something great that’s just outside of our grasp. This fuels his sense of mission, along with a tinge of subversion to some right some historical wrongs. This and the recognition of the potential for healthier financial returns let him to start Endourage. Enjoy the story!
In this podcast the Endourage Chief Medical Officer, Dr. Michael Steward, describes his journey to understanding clinician grade CBD. He's the scion of an automotive entrepreneurial family who becomes a family physician just in time to confront the HIV/AIDS epidemic with his patients. As the story unfolds, we learn of his success against this scourge. Dr. Steward’s principle is to do whatever it takes to provide care. This leads him to reexamine current prohibitions against CBD and to start Endourage. It's a great story!
