Nesse vídeo, vou mostrar a regra geral de que QUEM TEM MAIS POPULAÇÃO, GANHA A PARTIDA. Sim, obviamente existem exceções; mas, usualmente, o vencedor é aquele que consegue ter mais população em campo (seja em unidades militares, seja em unidades civis).

Dessa forma, um dos lugares mais importantes do mapa da partida são os Centros da Cidade. Nos mapas tradicionais, cada jogador tem 3 centros da cidade para si (o inicial + espalhados próximos). Porém, se um jogador consegue dominar 4 centros, o outro fica apenas com 2, e essa diferença de QUARENTA de população é quase impossível de ser ultrapassada!

Quest for Stoken - Pre-Launch First Impressions GameplayHello everyone!

On today's video, I'll show you folks QUEST FOR STOKEN, a 2D platform game developed by the SkateHive Community that I'm sure you're going to love! The game is still on pre-launch, so I'm going to take you through a few of the levels as a beta tester and I'll show you guys what this game has to offer!

This was my first time playing the game, so it'll be my actual first impressions. This video is my experience as a totally brand-new player trying out the game, because I want to give an honest feedback about what I like and what I dislike.

My main suggestion to the game developers is to make it clearer, for the player, what's "background" and what's "gameplay". It was very frustrating jumping around the map and not being able to easily see that there were enemies there that could hit me; this happened because some enemies were kinda blending with the background due similar colors (like pigeons and the buildings/skyscrapers background), or because the background overlapped some gameplay-elements (like the clouds). While I understand the design choice on the second one (elements overlapping one another to make the game more difficult), it's just something that I don't like: I prefer being able to see 100% of the time what's going on.

My second suggestion is kinda similar to the first one, but it's to make all gameplay-impacting elements visible. The "turrets" shooting arrows/bullets at the player weren't visible, and players had to guess where the bullets would come from. Again, I understand the design choice on doing this, but I feel it's frustrating. IMO, or the bullets should be more visible (like Bullet Bill in Mario Bros), or the turret shooting it should be shown on the game.

[ENG] Huge Success of the Community Governance Proposals!Hello everyone!

This is a video in Portuguese in which I will talk about the HUGE success of the newly-released Community Governance Proposal System!

In my last video, I was very excited about this new feature in the game ecosystem, but I never imagined that it would be such a huge and fast success! In less than a week, we already have 6 governance proposals being analyzed, 4 of them already "officially" in-game, and 2 of them still in the pre-proposal phase at Hive.

This large number of proposals is shaking the community and allowing us, the players, to decide the future of the game. Also, as side effect , 600k DEC has already been burned, with a total value of around 400 USD. It's not a fortune, obviously, but it shows that the 100k DEC fee per proposal does have its utility as a sink for the DEC.

Uncharted Waters Origin - The Best Trade Route for Company Level 35!Hello everyone!

In this video, I'll show you folks the BEST Trade Route, in Uncharted Waters Origin, for players with Company Level 35 or above!

The Level 35 Area is probably the MOST IMPACTFUL Level in terms of New Trade Routes! As I like to say, up to Level 34 you're kinda on the "tutorial" phase, and the game is slowly teaching you how to do stuff. When you're Level 35, the game is like "OK, you're good to go now, enjoy the world", unlocking DOZENS of new ports in three totally different areas (East Africa, The Middle East / Persia, and West India), all of them full of really expensive and profitable goods to bring back to Europe!

As always, your Trade Route will start in Northern Europe, as it's the furthest point from the rest of the world and, thus, the one with most valuable goods to bring:

European Ports: Saint Petersburg, Stockholm, Visby, London, Dover, Plymouth.
European Trade Goods: Vodka, Felt, Two Handed Swords, Aquavit, Steel, Whisky.

You'll now sail to Diu, located in the Western part of India. You won't be able to sail straight to India without stopping, so stop in Sierra Leone / Cape Town / Mozambique just to restock food and water.

When you reach Diu, sell everything there and start purchasing the goods to bring back to Europe:

West Indian Ports: Diu, Goa, Kozhikode and Kochi.
West Indian Goods: Musk, Ruby, Jasmine, Pepper, Sapphire.

In the path back to Europe, you can also stop in the South-East African Ports (Mozambique, Quelimane, Sofala and Natal) just to buy these 2 Trade Goods: Platinum and Diamond, which is incredibly expensive back in Saint Petersburg.

Sail back to Saint Petersburg (stopping in Benguela, Las Palmas and Copenhagen to restock) and sell everything there. Them just restart the route!

I am very excited and happy about this new feature. For me, shared governance is the differential and the biggest attraction of NFT and blockchain games, it's what makes a decentralized game.... well, decentralized: the possibility of the community managing the game, proposing and implementing the necessary changes to keep the game balanced and interesting.

As announced by the Splinterlands devs, the system that is in place now is quite rudimentary and almost everything is done manually; the idea is that a real system will be developed in the future, automated and all that jazz. Nonetheless, Community Proposals are finally a reality!

[ENG] Review: Immortalis, the new Chaos Legion Summoner!Hello everyone!

This is a video in Portuguese in which I talk about Immortalis, the new Airdrop Summoner that was announced just a few days ago!

In my opinion, Immortalis is a niche Summoner: in his specific niche, he's incredibly strong and almost unbeatable; but outside it, he's not that good.

His niche is pretty obvious: counter Magic. By giving all your team the Void ability, it's impossible for you to lose a match against a Magic-heavy strategy. The -1 Health debuff to the enemy team is just the ice on the cake. Unfortunately, we're not in 2021 anymore and the meta isn't dominated anymore by Magic-heavy strats.

In the other hand, the Shatter ability is a weird one to give to all your team, given the fact that it's not a cumulative ability: just the first attack against enemy Monsters will trigger Shatter, as you can't remove twice the Armor of the same Monster.

Nesse vídeo, eu vou falar sobre o Immortalis, o novo Summoner de Airdrop que foi anunciado há poucos dias!.

Na minha opinião, o Immortalis é um Summoner de nicho: no nicho específico dele, ele é muito poderoso e quase imbatível; porém, fora desse nicho, ele é bem meia-boca.

O nicho dele é bem óbvio: counterar estratégias baseadas em monstros mágicos. Ao dar para todo seu time a habilidade Void, é quase impossível perder uma partida contra ataques mágicos. O debuff de -1 Vida também é só um extra. Infelizmente, não estamos mais em 2021 e o meta já mudou muito, e hoje em dia não são muitas estratégias que usam várias criaturas mágicas ao mesmo tempo.

Por outro lado, a habilidade Shatter é um pouco esquisita para ser fornecida para todo seu time, visto que seus efeitos não são cumulativos: apenas o primeiro ataque trigga o Shatter, visto que você não pode remover duas vezes a Armadura de um mesmo adversário.

I found the proposal of the Runi collection, which integrates the game with the Ethereum blockchain, quite interesting. Liking it or not, Ethereum is currently the largest blockchain for smart contracts and NFTs, so it makes perfect sense to bring the game to Ethereum as a way to attract new players and investors.

However, the other announcements were disappointing, as none of them addressed the real problems of the game, which is repetitive and boring gameplay. Graphical changes and UI gimmicks will not solve this, and it seems that these changes are the team's focus these days.

Nesse vídeo, eu vou falar sobre o Splinterfest 2022, que ocorreu em Outubro/2022. Sim, eu sei, estou postando com 2 meses de atraso, deal with it.

Achei bastante interessante a proposta da coleção Runi, que integra o jogo com a blockchain Ethereum. Gostando ou não, a Ethereum é atualmente a maior blockchain para smart contracts e NFTs, portanto faz todo o sentido levar o jogo para a Ethereum como uma forma de atrair novos jogadores e investidores.

Porém, os demais anúncios foram decepcionantes, sem tratar dos problemas reais do jogo, que é um gameplay repetitivo e enfadonho. Mudanças gráficas e firulas na UI não vão mudar isso, e parece que é esse o foco da equipe atualmente.

[ENG] Review and Opinion: Governance Proposal #17Hello everyone!

This is a video in Portuguese in which I will talk about the Governance Proposal #17: "Sell 2B DEC-B for DEC or Vouchers".

I feel that I'm doing the same video over and over again every time a new Governance Proposal is released, but I'm against ALL proposals that want to patch up problems in the short term without actually dealing with the problem. And this Proposal is exactly that.

Yeah, I know, I know: the dev team wants to appreciate the value of the Splinterlands assets (DEC and Vouchers), and selling these DEC-B will probably do it in the short term, as players will exchange their liquid-and-transferable DEC/Vouchers in exchange for those non-transferable DEC-B. Thus, less supply and higher prices.

But the point is that this doesn't solve the underlying problem, which is the lack of stuff to do with DEC. The game is boring and there are no in-game objectives that we, players, want to pursue. We just want to farm daily chests and sell them on the market for a quick buck. DEC-B won't solve this: a better, more entertaining game will.

Proposta #17: Venda de 2bi DEC-B por DEC ou Vouchers.

Eu sinto que estou gravando o mesmo vídeo toda vez que alguma Proposta de Governança é lançada, mas a culpa não é minha: sou contra toda proposta que visa remendar um problema no curto prazo sem resolver ele no longo prazo. E essa proposta é exatamente isso.

O time do Splinterlands quer valorizar os ativos do jogo (DEC e Vouchers) rapidamente, vendendo esses DEC-B: os jogadores vão pegar seus ativos líquidos e comercializáveis e trocar por DEC-B não-comercializável. No curso prazo, a oferta de DEC e Voucher vai diminuir e, portanto, seu preço vai subir.

Mas isso não resolve o real problema, que é a falta do que fazer com DEC. O jogo está chatão e os jogadores não possuem nenhum objetivo além de farmar baús e vender tudo no mercado. É óbvio que tudo vai se desvalorizar com o passar do tempo. Precisamos de um jogo mais interessante e com mais coisas para se fazer (gastando DEC), e não de uma nova moeda remendada.

Uncharted Waters Origin: The Best Trade Route for Company Level 30!Hello everyone!

In this video, I'll show you folks the BEST Trade Route, in Uncharted Waters Origin, for players with Company Level 30 or above!

The Level 30 Area is GREAT in terms of Trade Goods! The newly-unlocked ports (Cape Town, Karibib, Benguela and Luanda) have lots expensive, profitable goods to bring back to Europe!

As always, your Trade Route will start in Northern Europe, as it's the furthest point from the rest of the world and, thus, the one with most valuable goods to bring:

Northern European Ports: Saint Petersburg, Riga, Stockholm, Visby and Copenhagen.
European Trade Goods: Vodka, Felt, Two Handed Swords and Aquavit.

You'll now sail to Cape Town, in the most southern part of Africa. You won't be able to sail straight to Cape Town, so stop in Las Palma or Sierra Leone just to restrock food and water.

When you reach Cape Town, sell everything there and start purchasing the goods to bring back to Europe:

South African Ports: Cape Town, Karibib, Benguela, and Luanda.
South African Goods: Diamond, Geranium, Dalbergia and Gold. If just these goods aren't enough to fill your cargo, buy Ambergris, Orange Oil, Goldwork and Malachite.

Sail back to Saint Petersburg (stopping in Las Palmas again to restock) and sell everything there. Them just restart the route!

The interesting thing about Tournaments is that they have a series of rules that allow the newbie player to compete on equal terms with more experienced players; for example, some tournaments restrict Novice level cards, i.e. only level 1 cards. Other tournaments only allow you to use newly released cards, so you don't have to buy expensive old cards.

Uncharted Waters Origin: The Best Trade Route for Company Level 25!Hello everyone!

In this video, I'll show you folks the BEST Trade Route, in Uncharted Waters Origin, for players with Company Level 25 or above!

The Level 25 Area is kinda weird in terms of Trade Goods, as the newly-unlocked ports (like Abidjan, Benin and São Tomé) barely have expensive, profitable goods to bring back to Europe.

The only port that actually has profitable goods is Timbuktu, deep inside the African Continent. But it's a small port that only sell 4 goods; albeit they're all expensive and profitable (Diamond, Gold, Goldwork and Gold Dust), you unfortunately can only buy them in small quantities. This means that not only you'll spend a lot of time sailing to Timbuktu and back from Europe, you'll just be able to buy a few goods. Not good at all.

The only way to make the Timbuktu Trade Route to be good is if you go there, buy the whole market, and then spend your time around the city doing other activities (like land exploring while AFK, or actively hunting pirates to earn combat experience). That way you can stay in the area for 1-2 hours and restock a few times, until you go back to Europe with a full cargo of expensive stuff.

If you're looking just to make money FAST, it isn't worth to go to the Company Level 25 Area: just stay doing the Caribbean Trade Route that I've told in an old video of mine. Here's summary of the Carribean Route:

Northern European Ports: Saint Petersburg, Riga, Stockholm, Visby and Copenhagen.
European Trade Goods: Vodka, Felt, Two Handed Swords and Aquavit.

Sell everything in Santiago de Cuba.

Caribbean Ports: Santiago de Cuba, Southside, Port Royal, and San Juan.
Caribbean Goods: Tequila, Pineapple, Vanilla, Opal, Logwood and Allspice.

Sell everything in Saint Petersburg. Restart the route.

This is a video in Portuguese in which I talk about Possibilus the Wise, the new Airdrop Summoner that was announced just a few days ago!

I'll be quite honest: Possibilus the Wise appears to be an extremely powerful Summoner, bringing +2 Life to all your Monsters and two very strong abilities (Trample and Reach). However, upon further analysis of the Water Splinter, it loses some of its appeal due to the fact that the meta Water Melee Monsters either already have Trample, or already have Reach, or have abilities that overlap with Reach.

Let me explain. What are the most commonly used Melees Monsters in the Water Splinter? We have the Diemonshark, the most popular tank, which already has Trample. We also have, as the meta secondary tank, the Flying Squid, which already has Reach. Finally, the powerful killer Deeplurker has the Opportunity ability, which overlaps with Reach as it allows him to attack from any position. Possibilus the Wise loses value when played together with these cards.

Is Possibilus strong enough to rise the power level of other Melee Cards and make them meta, such as the Cruel Sethropod, the Demented Shark, and the Frost Lion?

[ENG] Review: Arkemis the Bear, the new Promo Card!Hello everyone!

This is a video in Portuguese in which I talk about Arkemis the Bear, the new Promo/Airdrop card that was announced just a few days ago!

I love cards like this one, which are easy to use and fit into almost any strategy. As early as level 1, Arkemis brings the Protect ability, which provides +2 Armor to your entire team. This is one of the strongest abilities in the game, ideal for matches with rules that favor Melees monsters or against Summoners that focus on Melees cards. Due this single ability, this card will surely be able to sneak his way into the meta.

At level 4, Arkemis receive one of the rarest abilities in the game: Halving. With each attack he makes, the target monster has its own attack halved. Again, Arkemis shows his strength as a defensive monster that protects the rest of the team.

At levels 7 and 10, he finally gets the Forcefield ability (which I am not a big fan of) and the Enrage ability, which turns him into a monster with a 6 Melee attack and 6 Speed!

Nesse vídeo, eu vou falar sobre o Arkemis the Bear, a nova Carta Promocional que foi anunciada há poucos dias!.

Eu gosto de cartas como essa aqui, que são fáceis de usar e encaixam em quase todas as estratégias. Logo no nível 1, o Arkemis traz a habilidade Protect, que fornece +2 de Armadura para todo o seu time. Trata-se de uma das habilidades mais fortes do jogo, ideal para partidas com regras que favorecem monstros Melees ou contra Summoners que focam em cartas desse tipo.

No nível 4, o Arkemis recebe uma das habilidades mais raras do jogo: Halving. A cada ataque que ele realiza, o monstro alvo tem seu ataque dividido pela metade. Novamente, o Arkemis mostra sua força como um monstro defensivo e que proteje o restante do time.

Nos níveis 7 e 10, finalmente, ele recebe a habilidade Forcefield (que eu não sou muito fã) e a habilidade Enrage, que transforma ele num monstrão com 6 de ataque Melee e com 6 de velocidade!

Synthwave Cyberpunk Music #001 by LuizebaHello everyone!

A few weeks ago I've decided to delve a bit into Digital Music Creation! Why? I don't know! But it looked kinda fun and exciting, so I've downloaded FL Studio (a digital music workstation) and started to watch some tutorials.

Source: WolfAyoubI tried to make a Synthwave music. Synthwave is an electronic music genre that based on movies and video games soundtracks of the 1980s, in which the music tries to capture the nostalgia and the atmosphere of the good old 80's!

The result is this music!It's my first creation ever, and a good part of it was made following guides, so some of the tunes you'll be hearing aren't original as I just tried to learn how to use the software, not actually create original melodies.

Nonetheless, I hope you'll enjoy it as much as I did.

[ENG] Review: Ancient Redwood, the new Airdrop Riftwatchers Card!Hello everyone!

This is a video in Portuguese in which I talk about the Ancient Redwood, the new Airdrop Riftwatchers card that was announced a few days ago!

Right at Level 1, this Monster is incredibly strong on Reverse Speed matches and, on regular matches, it's reasonably good as it's not going to miss the attacks due the True Strike ability. But at Level 3 the Ancient Redwood receives the Fury ability, becoming one of the strongest Taunt killers in the whole game.

Finally, at Level 4 it also gets the Piercing ability, being the ideal card to counter enemy Taunt Monsters that usually have high Armor: 12 ranged damage per turn without missing and ignoring Armor? Wow!

Já logo no nível 1, esse Monstro é extremamente poderoso nas partidas com a regra Reverse Speed; em partidas normais, ele também não é de se jogar fora, pois dá 5 de dano por turno e não pode errar os ataques apesar da velocidade baixa por conta da habilidade True Strike. Mas no Nível 3 o Ancient Redwood se torna um matador de monstros com Taunt por conta da habilidade Fury!

Finalmente, no nível 4, a carta também passa a ter a habilidade Piercing, se tornando literalmente a carta mais poderosa do jogo contra Monstros com Taunt, que normalmente tem armadura alta: 12 de dano por turno sem errar e ignorando armadura? Incrível!

[ENG] Is it worth to use Bots on Splinterlands?Hello everyone!

This is a video in Portuguese in which I talk about the usage of bots on Splinterlands, and I'll try to answer the infamous question: Is it worth to use Bots on Splinterlands?

The truth is that, liking it or not, the game rules allow bots and automated tools that do everything for the player: play the matches, collect rewards, even rent cards accordingly to the daily quest focus.

A savvy player has to analyze the cost of using bots (the monthly subscription itself, the eventual revenue share / fees charged on the rewards, the gameplay that's worse when compared to a human player) and compare it to the advantages of using this kind of tool (stability and constancy of playing everyday and spending the capture rate, saving time). Through this analysis, the player can conclude if using bots is worth (or not) for himself. For example, a player that's busy in the real life and isn't able to play the game regularly may benefit from having a bot that can play everyday and bring home some profits, instead of just wasting the capture rate on 100%.

Nesse vídeo, eu vou falar um pouco sobre os bots existentes no Splinterlands, e vou tentar responder à famosa pergunta: vale a pena usar Bots no Splinterlands?

A verdade é que, independente de você concordar ou não com a existência dos bots no jogo, as regras do jogo permitem a utilização de ferramentas automatizadas que, basicamente, fazem tudo pelo jogador: jogam as partidas, coletam as recompensas, até mesmo alugam cartas de acordo com a quest diária.

O jogador inteligente deve analisar o custo dos bots (preço da mensalidade, taxas cobradas sobre as recompensas diárias, nível de jogo inferior ao de um jogador humano) e comparar com as vantagens de utilizar essas ferramentas (constância de jogar todos os dias, economia de tempo). É através dessa análise que o jogador vai avaliar se, naquele momento, faz sentido (ou não) utilizar algum bot. Por exemplo, um jogador que está com pouco tempo para jogar e passa vários dias sem entrar no jogo pode se beneficiar ao ter um bot que jogue todo dia, garantindo o lucro diário.

[ENG] Opinions regarding the Splinterlands Tower Defense Hello everyone!

This is a video in Portuguese in which I talk about the soon-to-be-released Splinterlands Tower Defense game, that are recently receiving weekly updates through the Dev Diary like this one posted just a few days ago.

The two main points that I talk about is:

Tower Defense is a very-established game genre that existed for more than 30 years, since the release of the game Rampart in 1990. It isn't an easy job to create an exciting gameplay with new elements and ideas when thousands of other game devs already worked for decades on this genre and already created almost everything that has to be created. Will the Splinterlands devs be able to create an innovative and engaging Tower Defense gameplay?
Tower Defenses is an old game genre that probably won't go viral on social media or streaming platforms. I honestly can't imagine a famous streamer recording himself playing a TD. Will the NFT and Play2Earn functionalities be enough to attract new players to this ancient genre?

Meus dois grandes receios com relação ao jogo é:

Tower Defense é um gênero já extremamente estabelecido, que existe há mais de 30 anos, desde o lançamento do jogo Rampart no ano de 1990. Dessa forma, é um trabalho extremamente complicado trazer novos elementos e novas ideias para o jogo, visto que milhares de desenvolvedores já se debruçaram sobre esses jogos e já criaram quase que tudo que é possível criar para esse tipo de game. Será que os desenvolvedores do Splinterlands vão conseguir, de fato, criar uma gameplay inovadora e estimulante?
Por ser um gênero de games que existe há tanto tempo, vejo que será difícil que o jogo viralize nas redes sociais e nas plataformas de streaming. Não consigo imaginar jogadores fazendo streaming de jogos de Tower Defense, por exemplo. A dúvida que fica é: as funcionalidades de NFT e de Play2Earn serão suficientes para atrair novos jogadores para esse gênero antigo de jogos?

[ENG] Great Guild Brawl Update! Hello everyone!

This is a video in Portuguese in which I talk about the new Guild Brawl update that was announced a few days ago on this post by the Splinterlands devs.

All the changes done made the Brawls more accessible to new players: now the new Riftwatchers cards can be used in lots of Frays that were restricted to Chaos Legion only, and there's now almost no need use the old Alpha/Beta cards as those restricted Frays can now be played using Promo and Reward cards.

This update is just superb, as it makes the Brawls cheaper to be played and, thus, more competitive and entertaining. Players aren't restricted by their budget anymore, and can play competitively with their new (and cheaper) cards!

Nesse vídeo, eu vou falar sobre as novas mudanças que estão vindo para as Guild Brawls que foram recentemente anunciadas nesse post dos desenvolvedores do Splinterlands.

Todas as mudanças propostas tornam as Brawls mais acessíveis para os novos jogadores: agora as cartas de Riftwatchers podem ser usadas em várias Frays que, antes, eram limitadas apenas para a expansão de Chaos Legion; e agora as antigas cartas de Alpha e Beta não são mais obrigatórias em algumas Frays, que agora podem ser jogadas com cartas Promo e Reward.

Esse update é perfeito e vai no sentido do que eu sempre digo: o Splinterlands tem que ser um jogo mais interessante e divertido de ser jogado. Essas mudanças fazem com que o jogo seja menos restritivo em termos monetários, fazendo com que o gameplay seja mais competitivo e mais acessível por meio da utilização de cartas novas e mais baratas!

The main strength of this Summoner is that she's literally the most flexible Summoner in the game, as she's Neutral (thus can be used with any Splinter) and all three of her abilities (+1 Health, +1 Speed and +1 Armor) are useful with each and every Monster. This means that Lux Vega can be played with any Monster that you have and bring value to your team.

Uncharted Waters Origin: The Best Trade Route for Company Level 20! Hello everyone!

In this video, I'll show you folks the BEST Trade Route, in Uncharted Waters Origin, for players with Company Level 20 or above!

You'll be starting your Trade Route in Northern Europe: Saint Petersburg, Riga, Stockholm, Visby and Copenhagen.

In these ports, you'll be buying Vodka, Felt, Two Handed Swords and Aquavit.

From Copenhagen, you'll be sailing to Ponta Delgada, in the middle of the Atlantic ocean, in order to resupply your ship with water and food.

Now you'll sail straight to Santiago de Cuba, in the Caribbean. Sell all your European trade goods, and start buying these Caribbean trade goods: Tequila, Pineapple, Vanilla, Opal, Logwood and Allspice.

The ports you'll be visiting is Santiago de Cuba, Southside, Port Royal, and San Juan.

From San Juan, you'll go back to Europe: sail to Ponta Delgada, then to Copenhagen, and finally to Saint Petersburg. Sell the Caribbean trade goods, and start the trade route again!

Trust me: this is the most optimized trade route I was able to find at Company Level 20. These trade goods and these ports are the best ones in order to optimize your profit per hour, as they're the most valuable trade goods and they're the ports with most goods available for purchase!

[ENG] Review and Opinion: Governance Proposal #15 Hello everyone!

This is a video in Portuguese in which I will talk about the Governance Proposal #15: Daily Burn of Unsold Chaos Legion Packs.

I'm against all proposals that want to "change the rules in the middle of the game" (as soccer fans say) so, once again, I'm against this Proposal.

I do understand the reason behind this: the dev team wants to appreciate the value of the Splinterlands assets (both unopened Chaos Legion Packs and Chaos Legion Cards). Obviously, as a Splinterlands player and investor, I do like the idea of making my own assets more expensive.

But the point is that we (players and investors) have to be able to trust on the information given by the game ecosystem: how many cards there are in existence, how many packs will be sold, which currencies are used for this or that, etc. If the game keeps changing its rules for short-term profit, things won't end up being good for anyone in the long-term.

Eu sou totalmente ocntra qualquer tipo de proposta que queira mudar as regras no meio do jogo então, mais uma vez, vou votar contra essa Proposta.

Eu entendo a ideia atrás dessa proposta: o time de desenvolvedores quer fazer com que o valor dos ativos no Splinterlands subam de preço (tanto os pacotes não-abertos de Chaos Legion, como as cartas de Chaos Legion já abertas). Obviamente, como jogador e investidor do game, eu quero ver meus ativos se valorizando.

A questão é que nós (jogadores e investidores) precisamos poder confiar nas informações que o ecosistema do jogo nos fornece: quantas cartas existem hoje, quantas cartas vão existir, qual a utilidade e valor de cada token, etc. Se o jogo continuar mudando as regras existentes para lucros de curto-prazo, as coisas não vão ficar boas para ninguém no longo prazo.

I'm totally against all these proposals for the solely reason that the dev team is trying to sugar-coat the real problem, which is the lack of players, which is a consequence of the gaming not being actually fun for people playing it. They're just trying to shuffle tokens around (SPS, DEC, Packs) in order to fix the economy, but what the game economy really needs is more people finding the game entertaining and wanting to play it for fun and not only to 'make money'.

Eu sou contrário à todas essas três propostas pelo simples motivo de que o time de desenvolvedores está tentando tapar o sol com a peneira sem resolver o real problema do jogo, que é a falta de jogadores, que por sua vez é consequência do Splinterlands não ser efetivamente divertido de se jogar. Uncharted Waters Origin: Fishing Guide Hello everyone!

In this video, I'll show and explain to you folks the Fishing mechanics in Uncharted Waters Origin, the new Maritime / Age of Exploration MMORPG that was recently launched by Koei Tecmo and LINE Games!

Source: LINE Games In Uncharted Waters Origin, Fishing is done through a mini-game in which you have to manually cast your fishing rod and then wait for the fish to bite the hook in order to rell it; finally, there's a small game of dexterity in which you have to click in the middle of a green bar in order to reduce the Health of the fish and actually be able to catch it. In the video, I show it step-by-step, it's quite easy 😅

By Fishing, you can find both Resources (like food) but also Discoveries, like this nice Black Wing Flyingfish that I was able to catch nearby Amsterdan!

Unlike Uncharted Waters Online, Fishing isn't done automatically anymore just by clicking on the skill. So, right now, Fishing became a slower, more interactive activity in which you, the player, have to actually do stuff in order for it be sucessful!

[ENG] Vote NO on the New Splinterlands Governance Proposal! Hello everyone!

This is a video in Portuguese in which I will talk about the new Splinterlands Governance proposal, and why you, a small player like me, should vote NO on this proposal.

A few days ago, the @sps.dao account presented this proposal which will adjust the rewards earned per match according to the Level of the cards used in the match: if you play with low leveled cards, your rewards will be proportionally reduced.

The truth is that this new rule will end up punishing the small player, reducing their daily rewards. When I say "small player", I mean the average player, who scraps together a little bit of money every week or so to buy a few extra cards and slowly build their deck; the player who manually plays a single account. This player cannot afford to fill his deck with expensive, high-level cards, but he can use his brain to develop good strategies that allow him to play at high rankings despite having low-level cards. It'l also effectively kill lots of interesting, powerful cards that became very common until today like the Creeping Ooze and the Furious Chicken, as their strenght comes right at Level 1, and are very expensive to level them.

On the other hand, the "whale", the big fat cats who have thousands of accounts running 24/7 on bots, can and will adapt to this new rule. If he needs higher level cards, so be it, he'll just buy them and keep playing with his thousands of account. The big players have both the administrative structure and the purchasing power to maintain their own level of reward, and we do not.

Therefore, I will vote NO for this proposal, and I think that you should do the same.

[PT-BR] Vote NÃO na Nova Proposta de Governança do Splinterlands Fala galera, beleza?

Nesse vídeo, eu vou falar sobre a nova proposta de Governança do Splinterlands, e por que você, pequeno jogador como eu, deve votar NÃO nessa proposta.

Há alguns dias, a conta @sps.dao apresentou essa proposta que, de forma resumida, ajusta as recompensas ganhas de acordo com o Level das cartas usadas na batalha: cartas que tenham o Level inferior à um mínimo pré-determinado por Liga reduzem proporcionalmente as recompensas ganhas.

A verdade é que, em última instância, essa nova regra vai punir o pequeno jogador independente e reduzir suas recompensas diárias. Quando eu falo de "pequeno jogador", estou falando do jogador comum, que junta um dinheirinho toda semana pra comprar algumas cartas por semana, e que joga manualmente o jogo todos os dias. Esse jogador não tem condições de encher seu deck de cartas caras e de nível alto, mas consegue usar o cérebro para desenvolver estratégias boas que o permitem jogar em rankings altos. Essa nova regra também vai destruir muitas cartas interessantes e que ficaram muito populares como o Creeping Ooze e a Furious Chicken, pois a força delas está logo no nível 1: ninguém aumenta elas de level por serem cartas caras e com poucas vantagens de subir de level.

Por outro lado, a "whale", o grande investidor que possui milhares de contas rodando 24 horas por dia em bots, ele sim consegue se adaptar à essa nova regra. Se ele precisa de cartas de nível maior, ele vai comprar e vai continura jogando. Os grandes possuem estrutura e poder aquisitivo pra manter o próprio nível de recompensa, e nós não.

Por isso, eu vou votar NÃO para essa proposta, e sugiro que você faça o mesmo.

[ENG] Uncharted Waters Origin: First Impressions and Starter Guide Hello everyone!

This is a video in Portuguese in which I'll show you folks the game Uncharted Waters Origin, a MMORPG recently released in Korea and Australia, but since a few weeks ago we, from the rest of the world, can also login on the servers!

The game is currently weird to get into as a western player because there's almost no content in English about it (and literally nothing in Portuguese), so my idea was to show the game and give some really basic newbie tips!

Uncharted Waters is a video game franchise that has existed for more than 30 years around the Age of Discovery, that is, the period of maritime exploration from the 15th to 17th centuries. The most popular games of the franchise are from the SNES and MegaDrive era; but several games continued to be released over the years, including Uncharted Waters Online, the first Uncharted Waters MMORPG that I have played a lot and have even posted about it here on Hive.

Uncharted Waters Origin was developed to update the experience of Uncharted Waters Online, which unfortunately is an old game released almost 18 years ago. The graphics are stunning (it's Unreal Engine, after all); the gameplay is faster and more straightfoward; and the combat now is in turns (while in UW Online it was in real time), making it easier to play through smartphones and tablets.

This is a video in Portuguese in which I analyze Ilthain, the new Summoner that just arrived on the game in the Riftwatchers expansion!

I know that my opinion about Ilthain is a bit controversial, but I found him to be the weakest Summoner in Riftwatchers. The reason is simple: I don't like reactive abilities, that is, abilities that counter an enemy's strategy. In this case, Ilthain brings the Return Fire ability, which deals damage back to Ranged Monsters. And I don't like it because you, the player, do not control the cards your opponent will play; if he plays another strategy, your Summoner is useless.

Yes, Ilthain is currently the most expensive Summoner in Riftwatchers, and the reason is also simple: Yodin Zaku. The Yodin Zaku combo is extremely player-friendly and very powerful, and everyone is already tired of seeing players using this strategy. Ilthain is the perfect Summoner to contain Yodin, and because of this, everyone is looking to buy him! If you are tired of losing to Yodin Zaku, Ilthain is a great card to have in your deck!

Sei que minha opinião sobre o Ilthain é um tanto quanto polêmica, mas eu achei ele o Summoner mais fraco de Riftwatchers. O motivo é simples: eu não gosto de habilidades reativas, ou seja, que counteram uma estratégia do inimigo. No caso, o Ilthain traz a habilidade Return Fire, que dá dano de volta em monstros que atacam à distância (Ranged). O problema é que você, jogador, não controla as cartas que seu adversário vai jogar; se ele jogar outra estratégia, seu Summoner não serve de nada.

Sim, o Ilthain é, atualmente, o Summoner mais caro da Riftwatchers, e o motivo também é simples: Yodin Zaku. O combo do Yodin Zaku é extremamente fácil de ser jogador e muito poderoso, e todos já estão cansados de ver jogadores usando essa estratégia. O Ilthain é o Summoner perfeito para dar counter no Yodin e, por conta disso, todos estão querendo comprá-lo! Se você está cansado de perder pro Yodin Zaku, realmente o Ilthain é uma ótima carta para você ter no deck!

[ENG] Review: Skargore, the new Fire Splinter Summoner from Riftwatchers Hello everyone!

This is a video in Portuguese in which I analyze Skargore, the new Summoner that just arrived on the game in the Riftwatchers expansion!

I find that Skargore is one of the strongest Summoners of this expansion, maybe THE strongest one. She gives to all your Monsters the Enrage ability, which combo's perfectly with the dozens of strong, melee Monsters that the Fire Splinter has to offer.

One of the most obvious but incredibly powerful combos is Skargore with Grum Flameblade, as the Enrage fits perfectly with the Bloodlust ability. Other Monsters that are great to use with Skargore are the Molten Ogre and the Forgotten One, as all of them have high Melee Attack and lots of Health to stay alive while hurt (and enraged!).

A Skargore é uma das Summoners mais poderosas da expansão, isso se ela não for a MAIS poderosa. Ela fornece, para seu time, a habilidade Enrage, que comba perfeitamente com as inúmeras criaturas do Splinter de Fogo que são Melee.

Um dos combos mais óbvios e poderosos é juntar a Skargore com o Grum Flameblade: a habilidade Enrage combina perfeitamente com a habilidade Bloodlust. Outros Monstros que são ótimos para jogar junto com a Skargore são o Molten Ogre e o Forgotten One, visto que todos eles possuem ataques Melees altos e muita Health pra conseguirem ficar vivos enquanto estão machucados (e com o Enrage habilitado!).

[ENG] Review: Dallan, the new Death Splinter Summoner from Riftwatchers Hello everyone!

This is a video in Portuguese in which I analyze Dallan, the new Summoner that just arrived on the game in the Riftwatchers expansion!

Dallan is a great counter to Heal-heavy strategies, as the Cripple abilities reduces -1 Max Health per attack, also reducing the healed amount that those abilities can actually heal. As those strategies are more common on the higher Leagues, I do believe that we'll see Dallan being heavily played on the Gold/Diamond Leagues, but not so much on the Bronze/Silver League in which healing abilities are rarer.

I also show some Abilities that combo well with the Cripple, including Double Strike and Blast (double trigger to the Cripple!), and which cards are good purchases for both investors (that just want to flip the cards in the near future) and players (that want strong cards that will become meta together with Dallan).

Nesse vídeo, eu vou analisar o Dallan, o novo Summoner que acabou de vir para o jogo na nova expansão Riftwatchers!

O Dallan é um dos melhores counters do jogo contra estratégias que se baseiam em curas (healing), visto que a habilidade Cripple reduz a vida máxima do inimigo em -1 a cada ataque, reduzindo também a quantidade de vida que as habilidades Heal e Tank Heal curam. Porém, como essas estratégias são mais comuns nas ligas mais altas, eu acredito que vamos ver o Dallan sendo bastante utilizado nas ligas Gold e Diamond, mas sendo pouco usadas nas ligas Bronze e Silver, nas quais habilidades de cura são mais raras de serem encontradas.

Eu também mostro algumas Habilidades que combam legal com o Cripple, incluindo Double Strike e Blast (mais ataques = mais ativações do Cripple), e quais cartas são uma ótima compra para investidores (que só querem revender a carta no futuro) e para jogadores (que querem cartas fortes que se tornarão meta junto com o Dallan).

[ENG] Mana Theory and Deckbuilding Balance Hello everyone!

This video will be a little different than the usual here on my channel. Instead of discussing and presenting practical tips and strategies that can be used immediately on Splinterlands, I will discuss a little about the "Mana Theory", that is, how cards are balanced in the game through its "Mana" cost.

Games, in general, are balanced through some sort of cost mechanics. In RPGs, for example, the price of equipments and items indicates whether it is more powerful (and therefore more expensive) or weaker (and cheaper). In card games, such as Splinterlands, this balancing is usually done through "Mana": as cards become more powerful, they also cost more Mana to use.

However, a card's Mana cost assumes that the advantages brought by the card will, in fact, benefit the player. The ability "Inspire" (+1 Melee attack for your team) is obviously good, and therefore the game has been balanced so that such ability costs a certain amount of Mana and, in return, it gives you some advantage (stronger Melee monsters). However, if you do NOT play other Melee creatures, you will be paying the Mana cost for something that you will not be benefiting from. In the end, you'll be at an unfavorable position compared to your opponent.

Esse vídeo vai ser um pouco diferente do usual aqui no meu canal. Ao invés de discutir e apresentar dicas práticas e estratégias que podem ser usadas imediatamente no Splinterlands, vou discorrer um pouco sobre a "Teoria de Manas", ou seja, sobre como as cartas são balanceadas dentro do jogo por meio do parâmetro "Mana".

Jogos, de uma maneira geral, são balanceados por meio de algum tipo de mecânica de custo. Em jogos de RPG, por exemplo, o preço em moedas de ouro de um equipamento indica se ele é mais poderoso (e, portanto, mais caro) ou se ele é mais fraco (e mais barato). Já em jogos de cartas, como o Splinterlands, esse balanceamento é usualmente realizado por meio da "Mana": a medida que as cartas se tornam mais poderosas, elas também custam mais mana para serem utilizadas.

Porém, o custo de Mana de uma carta presume que as vantagens trazidas pela carta serão, de fato, utilizadas para beneficiar o jogador. A habilidade "Inspire" (+1 ataque Melee para seu time) é boa e, portanto, o jogo foi balanceado de forma que tal habilidade custe uma determinada quantidade de Mana e, em contrapartida, tal habilidade te forneça alguma vantagem. Porém, se você não jogar outras criaturas Melee, você terá pago o custo de mana por algo (habilidade Inspire) que você não estará se beneficiando. No final das contas, você estará na desvantagem.

[ENG] Review: Fernheart, the new Forest Splinter Summoner from Riftwatchers! Hello everyone!

This is a video in Portuguese in which I analyze Fernheart, the new Summoner that will be brought to the game in the next Riftwatchers expansion!

Fernheart looks like a very solid Summoner that will see some actual play for the fact that the Forest Splinter has lots of Ranged Monsters that also have reaasonable defensive capabilities, like the Barking Spider (high health) and the Goblin Tower (both health and armor).

Due the Close Range ability that Fernheart brings to the table, the player will be able to play those Ranged Monsters not only as damage dealers, but also as tanks. Usually a strategy that's heavily leaning on Ranged Attack also has to play some Melee Monsters in order to protect the rest of the team; but Fernheart allows an "all in", ultra aggressive strategy with only Ranged Monsters.

O Fernheart me parece um Summoner bem sólido, que terá uso recorrente nas partidas pelo fato do Splinter de Floresta ter várias criaturas Ranged que também possuem capacidades defensivas razoáveis, como o Barking Spider (vida alta) e o Goblin Tower (vida e armadura medianas).

Com a habilidade Close Range que o Fernheart tem, o jogador conseguirá usar esses Monstros que atacam à distância para serem, também, os tanques da partida, valendo-se dessas vidas altas. Normalmente uma estratégia que depende de ataques Ranged precisa também ter algumas criaturas Melees para proteger o resto do time, mas o Fernheart permite uma estratégia "full ranged" e extremamente agressiva.

[ENG] Brief Review of the New Riftwatchers Summoners! Hello everyone!

This is a video in Portuguese in which I'll briefly review the 6 new Summoners that will be brought to the game in the new Riftwatchers Expansion!

At first glance, I think that both Aquatus and Skargore are the strongest Summoners of this group, and they'll actually change the meta of Splinterlands and heavily impact the gameplay. Aquatus is just too strong against Melee and Ranged enemies considering that Water Monsters usually have high Speed, while Skargore gives a huge buff to the (already strong) Fire Splinter Melee Monsters.

In the other hand, both Sthispa and Ilthain looks kinda...meh? I honestly don't know if they're strong enough to become a commonly played card, given the fact that both of them have "reactive" abilities (eg the abilities just trigger if the enemy plays specific cards).

Fernheart looks like a solid Summoner that will combo well with the dozens of strong Ranged Monsters from the Forest Splinter. And, last but not least, Dallan is anyone’s guess: I honestly don't know if the Cripple ability will be strong enough to be on par with other abilities like Enrage brought by Skargore.

Nesse vídeo, eu vou falar rapidamente sobre os seis novos Summoners que virão para o Splinterlands na nova expansão Riftwatchers!

Numa primeira vista, acho que tanto o Aquatus como a Skargore são os Summoners mais poderosos desse novo grupo, mudando o meta do Splinterlands e impactando no gameplay do jogo. O Aquatus é extremamente poderoso contra inimigos Ranged ou Melee, pois o Splinter de Água está abarrotado de monstros poderosos e com velocidade alta. A Skargore, com a habilidade Enrage, vai dar um buff gigante para os Monstros Melee do Splinter de Fogo.

Por outro lado, tanto a Sthispa como o Ilthain me parecem um pouco estranhos. Não acho que eles serão suficientemente poderosos para se tornarem cartas populares, pois as habilidades deles são muito "reativas", ou seja, só funcionam quando o time adversário joga cartas específicas.

O Fernheart me parece um Summoner razoável que vai combar bem com as inúmeras criaturas Ranged que o Splinter de Floresta tem. E, por fim, o Dallan é uma grande incógnita para mim: não sei se a habilidade Cripple é poderosa o suficiente para competir de igual-para-igual com outras habilidades como o Enrage da Skargore.

Riftwatchers New Summoner Review - Aquatus [Water Splinter] Hello everyone!

In this video, I'll review Aquatus, the new Water Splinter Summoner that will be released on the Riftwatchers Expansion!

This is the first of a small 6-video series in which I'll talk about the new Summoners that will surely shake things up in Splinterlands!

This summoner gives the Backfire Ability (If an enemy misses this Monster with an attack, the attacker takes 2 damage) to your whole team. Considering that the Water Splinter is full of powerful high-speed cards (like Djinn Oshannus, Water Elemental and Diemonshark) that are already commonly played and are considered to be "meta", you surely won't run out of Monsters to combo with Aquatus, dealing a lot of damage by dodging and backfiring.

Not only that, but the Water Splinter has a few of high-speed Monsters that have the Dodge ability (+25% dodge chance): Water Elemental, Serpent of Eld, Phantom of the Abyss, and Mischievous Mermaid. Not only is a hell of a headache to hit these Monsters in normal circumstances (who never missed 4 attacks in a row against the Phantom of the Abyss?), but they'll be able to hit HARD with the Backfire ability.

The Current State of Brawl Matches Hello everyone!

In this video, I talk (and rant juuust a little bit 😂) about the current state of the Brawl Matches, and how different they are from regular Ranked matches.

For better or for worse, players are now bringing their best gameplay to the Brawls, renting expensive, "meta" cards to fill up their teams with max-leveled Monsters. So, even if you can hold your ground on Ranked matches on your preferred level cap (Bronze, Silver, etc.) by using low-leveled cards or non-meta cards (which is totally doable if you use good strategies), unfortunately, it's not enough to win Brawl matches.

If you don't own those meta cards yourself (and you probably don't, as they're very expensive), you have to rent some cards to up the level of your game and actually help your Guild on farming Merits!

This is a video in Portuguese in which I show the basics mechanics of the game that you, as player, need to understand in order to play Splinterlands correctly and be able make money with the game!

Lots of new players get excited about the possibility of making some quick bucks and, purely for FOMO, invest lots of time and money on Splinterlands before even knowing how the game works. This situation usually ends up with the player making lots of mistakes (due the lack of knowledge), losing money, and becoming frustrated with the game.

Important Note: In this video, I will NOT give you tips on "how to make money" playing Splinterlands, neither I will explain all those mechanics to you. It would take hours to do so. The idea of this video is to show which are the basics that you have to know if you want to play Splinterlands for serious: if you don't understand one (of a few) of them, please, search for videos and articles about each one of them before thinking about sinking money into the game. It's better to only invest when you actually know what you're doing.

[ENG] Strategies for the Bronze and Silver League: Water Splinter Hello everyone!

This is a video in Portuguese in which I talk about the easiest, most affordable and strongest (at least in my opinion!) Water Splinter Deck for the Bronze and Silver Leagues.

I've analyzed data from both Splintermate and Archmage, and the algorithms from both bots concluded that the "Melee Water Splinter Deck", as I like to call it, is the strongest deck for new players; so it's not only my personal opinion: this deck is supported by real, proven data! It's a very solid strategy with high win rate and flexible enough to be played on both low mana and high mana matches.

Not only that, but it's also reasonably affordable considering that it only uses 6 main cards (and none of them are Legendary cards!), so players can buy them for cheap on the market.

This is a video in Portuguese in which I show some tips to find powerful but affordable cards to rent using the PeakMonsters Market!

As you already know, renting cards is the most newbie-friendly way for a player to grow on the game and be able to play on the higher leagues, as the player doesn't need to invest thousands of dollars on the game to actually buy the cards: he or she can just rent the cards for a few days and pay a small daily price. This allows the player to test new (expensive) strategies, try his own abilities against more experienced opponents, and see how much profit can be made on a higher league.

I'll be showing, on this video, two different renting strategies: one to rent cheap cards just to inflate your Collection Power, and another one to rent cheap but actually useful/powerful cards so you can win more matches and raise your Rating.

[ENG] Combining Cards on Splinterlands: Level Caps due League and Summoner Hello everyone!

This is a video in Portuguese in which I explain more about the mechanic of Combining and Leveling up Cards, specially the level cap due the player's current League and their Summoner levels.

It's a (very!) common newbie mistake start leveling up cards and end up not being able to actually use them on the matches because the player either didn't leveled up their Summoners (and end up being restricted to Level 1 cards), or because they're restricted due being on the Novice or Bronze League. This ends up being really frustrating to a new player, as they've spent resources to level the cards and end up not understanding why it's not working as intended; the idea of this video is to explain both those card level restrictions (League cap and Summoner cap), so the player can plan their strategy accordingly in order to grow stronger on the game!

Nesse vídeo, eu explico em maiores detalhes a mecânica de combinar e subir o level de cartas, em especial as restrições de Level por conta da Liga atual do jogador e por conta do level dos Summoners.

É um erro (muito) comum jogadores novos subirem o nível de suas cartas mas não conseguir, de fato, utilizá-las nas partidas pois o jogador ou não subiu o nível de seus Summoners (e ficam restritos à cartas de Level 1), ou porque o jogador está nas ligas Bronze ou Novice e, portanto, tem limites bem baixos no nível das cartas que pode utilizar. Essa experiência é bastante negativa e frustrante, pois o jogador gastou recursos e dinheiro para combinar suas cartas e subir de level, e não entende exatamente o motivo pelo qual ele não consegue jogar com essas cartas mais poderosas.

A ideia desse vídeo é explicar essas duas restrições (oriundas da Liga e do level do Summoner), para que o jogador possa planejar sua estratégia para crescer no jogo!

[ENG] How and Why Combine Cards on Splinterlands? Hello everyone!

This is a video in Portuguese in which I explain, for new Splinterlands players, all the details about the mechanic of Combining and Leveling Cards.

The main difference between Splinterlands and other Collectible Card Games is exactly this: the possibility of combining cards in order to level them up, in order to make them more powerful, with better stats (more health, attack, speed, etc.) or even earning new abilities. In other games, common cards are always bad and are never used by anyone in any situation (and, thus, are literally worthless), and good, rare cards are always good and are used by everyone always (and, thus, are valuable). But that's not the case in Splinterlands: "bad cards" can be combined and level up, becoming stronger and actually "playable", as they can be as strong as "good cards".

But this whole Card Combining mechanic isn't exactly intuitive and, especially on the Splinterlands mobile version, the system is kinda hidden and badly explained. This idea of this video is to explain the basics of card combining and leveling up cards!

Nesse vídeo, eu explico para você, novo jogador de Splinterlands, todos os detalhes sobre a mecânica de Combinação de Cartas.

O grande e principal diferencial do Splinterlands, quando comparado com outros jogos de cartas colecionáveis, é exatamente a possiblidade de se combinar cartas iguais para que ela suba de nível, adquirindo mais pontos de estatística (ataque, vida, velocidade, etc.) ou ganhando novas habilidades. Em outros jogos, cartas comuns são ruins e nunca são usadas por ninguém (e, portanto, não valem nada); já cartas raras e boas são sempre utilizadas (e valem muito). Já no Splinterlands, isso não é verdade: as cartas "ruins" podem ser combinadas entre si para subir de nível, se tornando poderosas e "jogáveis", com poder semelhante à de cartas "boas".

Porém, a mecânica de combinação de cartas não é exatamente intuitiva e, principalmente para os jogadores que só jogam na versão mobile do game, fica um pouco escondida e mal explicada. A ideia desse vídeo é justamente explicar o básico da combinação de cartas, e como funciona as cartas de level maior.

[ENG] Explaining the "Dispel" Ability + Fun Match with Venari Spellsmith! Hello everyone!

This is a video in Portuguese in which I explain in details the "Dispel" ability, an ability that, due its confuse ruling, usually isn't understood by new players. The ability description says that "it clears all positive status effects on that enemy", but what exactly are those "positive status effects"? Many players think that those "positive effects" are, in fact, "positive abilities" like Flying or Dodge. But that's not the case: Dispel only affect positive effects given by some abilities like Protect (+2 extra Armor) or Strenghten (+1 extra Health).

I also analyze the card Venari Spellsmith, a Magic Monster from the Neutral Splinter. In my opinion, the most interesting part of this card lies on its Level 4, when it earns the "Amplify" ability, doubling the damage caused by abilities that reflect damage to the enemy attacking Monsters (like Thorns and Return Fire). Also, this card becomes stronger as the player advances on the Leagues: those positive effects that are removed by the Dispel ability becomes more common on the higher Leagues as players are using higher leveled cards.

Link to the Battle The strategy used on the analyzed Battle is the (in)famous Magic Combo, with the Summoner Obsidian (giving +1 Magic Damage to all my team) and lots of Mana-cheap Magic Monsters, as a way to increase the value on Obsidian's buff. The biggest difference between my team and my opponent's team was exactly the amount of Magic Monsters played: more magic Monsters = more extra Magic Damage brought by Obsidian!

[PT-BR] Explicando a Habilidade "Dispel" + Partida Top com Venari Spellsmith! Fala galera, tudo bom?

Nesse vídeo, eu explico em detalhes a "Dispel", uma habilidade que, por conta das regras confusas, normalmente não é entendida pelos jogadores. Afinal de contas, a descrição da habilidade informa que "ela remove todos os efeitos positivos do inimigo" ("it clears all positive status effects on that enemy"), mas o que são exatamente esses efeitos positivos? Diferentemente do que muitos pensam, esses "efeitos positivos" não são as habilidades positivas (como Flying ou Dodge), e sim alguns efeitos fornecidos por habilidades como Protect (+2 Armor) ou Strenghten (+1 Health).

Depois, eu analiso rapidamente a carta Venari Spellsmith, um Monstro Mágico do Splinter Neutro. Em minha opinião, o maior atrativo dessa carta está no Level 4, quando ela ganha a habilidade "Amplify", dobrando o dano causado pelas habilidades que devolvem ataques ao inimigo atacante (como Thorns e Return Fire). Além disso, a carta se torna cada vez mais relevante a medida em que o jogador avança nas Ligas, visto que os "efeitos positivos" se tornam mais comuns e, portanto, a habilidade Dispel se torna mais útil.

[ENG] Recommended Decks for the Silver League + Table of Costs Hello everyone!

This is a video in Portuguese in which I show several Recommended Decks for the Silver League, one for each Splinter. The core cards of these decks were heavily inspired on the "suggested cards list" from Splintermate: those cards were able to consistently have higher-than-average win rates, showing their value as strong, "meta" cards.

I've also built an Excel Spreadsheet with the cost of each of these Recommended Decks, assuming that the player would level up all the cards to the maximum allowed on the Silver League (Lvl 5 Common; Lvl 4 Rare; Lvl 3 Epic; Lvl 2 Legendary). Obviously the values ended up being REALLY high, but a huge part of the cost is concentrated on just a few older cards that are too expensive; excluding those outliers, these decks are really affordable and will allow you to play competitively even on the rankings!

Nesse vídeo, eu vou mostrar alguns Decks Recomendados para a Liga Prata, um para cada Splinter. As cartas básicas ("core") desses decks foram inspiradas na "lista de cartas recomendadas" do Splintermate: essas cartas demonstraram win rates acima da média de forma consistente, mostrando o valor delas como cartas fortes e dentro do "meta game".

Também elaborei uma Planilha de Excel com o custo para construir cada um desses Decks Recomendados, presuminod que o jogador suba o level de todas as cartas até o máximo permitido na Liga Prata (Lvl 5 Cartas Comuns; Lvl 4 Cartas Raras; Lvl 3 Cartas Épicas; Lvl 2 Cartas Lendárias). Obviamente que o valor total acabou saindo BEM caros; mas a parte boa é que a maioria esmagadora desse custo está concentrado em algumas poucas cartas antigas: excluindo essas poucas cartas, os decks acabam por ser bem acessíveis e já permitem o player a jogar e competir pelos rankings da Liga Prata!

[ENG] Is this the Best and Cheapest Dragon Combo? Hello everyone!

This is a video in Portuguese in which I talk about one of my favourite (and cheapest to buy!) combos of the game, which is the Summoner Brighton Bloom and the tank Djinn Chwala.

Those two cards are incredibly cheap even for new players and are a great investment for them because they add so much flexibility due the Flying ability that Brighton gives to all your Monsters (easily countering Ranged/Melee heavy decks, without even talking about the Earthquake ruleset) and due the Chwala having SO much stats for her Mana cost (9 Health and 5 Armor for only 8 Mana, right at Level 1? Almost unbelivable).

The Djinn Chwala is great on both Low Mana matches (because her, alone, is stong enough to carry the match) and High Mana matches (because she's strong enough to go on par with other high-mana tanks like Harklaw or Mycelic Infantry).

Link to the Battle The analyzed battle had a very huge Mana limit of more than 50 Mana, so I could go with a Ranged-heavy strategy including very Mana-costly cards like the Dhampir Infiltrator. But, as you'll see on the match, while my own Summoner ability was able to counter the enemy Monsters (as all of them were Ranged or Melee and, thus, suffered from the extra dodge from Flying), the enemy Summoner -1 Magic Damage had no effect on me as I didn't played any Magic Monster. This huge advantage just compounded during the match.

[PT-BR] O Melhor e Mais Barato Combo de Dragon? Fala galera, tudo bom?

Nesse vídeo, eu falo sobre um dos meus combos favoritos (e mais baratos para comprar): o Summoner Brighton Bloom e o tank Djinn Chwala.

Essas duas cartas são extremamente baratas de serem compradas, até mesmo para jogadores novos, e são ótimos investimentos para os newbies pois elas trazem muita flexibilidade para suas estratégias: o Brighton dá a habilidade Flying para todos os seus Monstros, counterando estratégias baseadas em Monstros Melees ou Ranged (isso sem falar da regra Earthquake!); e a Djinn tem MUITA vida e armadura para o custo dela de mana: 9 Health e 5 Armor por apenas 8 Mana? É muita coisa.

A Djinn Chwala é ótima tanto em partidas de baixa Mana (pois ela é forte o suficiente para carregar a partida nas costas) como de alta Mana (pois bate de frente com outros tanks caros como o Harklaw ou o Mycelic Infantry).

Link para a Batalha A partida analisada tinha um limite alto de Mana (mais de 50), então eu montei uma estratégia cheia de Monstros Ranged fortes, incluindo o Dhampir Infiltrator. Mas, como você verá no vídeo, a habilidade do meu Summoner, logo de cara, counterava a estratégia do inimigo (que jogou apenas com criaturas Ranged ou Melee, e todas sofrem o +25% de Dodge por conta do Flying); por outro lado, o Summoner inimigo deu -1 de Ataque Mágico para meu time...mas eu nem joguei criaturas mágicas! Eu já larguei na frente, e essa vantagem inicial só aumentou com o desenvolvimento da partida.

This is a video in Portuguese in which I explain about the 3 Currencies that exist in Splinterlands: Credits, DEC (Dark Energy Crystals) and SPS (Splintershards). It's a video focused on new players, in order to help newbies to understand the game and what are the differences between these assets: if they're cryptoassets or not, what's their utility on the game, what "governance token" means, how their price is determined, how you can buy or earn them, etc.

I also talk about both Rating and Collection Power, how both of them are used to find in which League you'll be playing, and that, in order to grow on the game, you have to increase both your Rating (by playing better and winning more matches) and your Collection Power (by growing your card collection).

[ENG] Soul Strangler: the Low-Mana Match Destroyer! Hello everyone!

This is a video in Portuguese in which I talk about the card Soul Strangler, a very strong Monster from the Death Splinter. It only costs 3 Mana to be played, but brings 2 Ranged Damage to the table: it's one of the most efficient cards of the game in terms of Mana cost per point of Ranged Attack! Not only this card is strong but it's also very cheap: it's currently being sold on the market for around 10 cents. It's a great investment for the long-term: after Chaos Legion packs ran out, they'll surely skyrocket in price as the Soul Strangler will keep being used on the "meta game".

I highly recommend playing Soul Strangler on Low Mana Matches, given the fact that the raw firepower of this card can tip the balance in your favour, allowing you to easily kill the enemy tank and, thus, dismantling the enemy strategy.

If you're a more experienced player that uses leveled cards in your games, Soul Strangler receives +1 Ranged Attack on level 3 (achiaveable if you're on the Silver League) and another +1 Ranged Attack on level 6 (for the Gold League). Think about this: on Level 6, this card, costing only 3 Mana, has FOUR Ranged Attack!

Link to the Battle The analyzed battle had a very low Mana limit: only 12! This is the IDEAL match for the Soul Strangler: due +2 ranged attack that he brought to the match was enough to kill the enemy tank and guarantee the win!

[PT-BR] Soul Strangler: O Destruidor das Partidas de Baixa Mana! Fala galera, tudo bom?

Nesse vídeo, eu falo sobre a carta Soul Strangler, um Monstro muito forte do Splinter de Morte (Death). Ele custa apenas 3 de Mana para ser jogado, mas possui 2 pontos de Ataque à Distância (Ranged), sendo uma das cartas mais eficientes do jogo em termos de custo de mana por ponto de ataque. Além disso, a carta está sendo comercializada atualmente por aprox. 10 centavos, sendo um ótimo investimento para o longo prazo: com certeza, após o fim dos packs de Chaos Legion, ela irá se valorizar, pois permanecerá sendo uma carta muito utilizada no "meta game".

Eu recomendo fortemente usar o Soul Strangler em jogos de mana baixa, pois ele tem um poder de fogo bruto muito forte e que pode facilmente desbalancear o jogo em seu favor, matando rapidamente o tanque adversário e desmontando a estratégia inimiga.

Caso você seja um jogador mais experiente e que jogue com cartas de nível mais alto, o Soul Strangler ganha +1 de ataque no nível 3 (facilmente atingível para jogadores da liga Silver) e um outro +1 de ataque no nível 6 (possível para jogador da liga Gold). No nível 6, por exemplo, esse Monstro, custando apenas 3 de Mana, traz 4 pontos de ataque Ranged! É muita coisa!

Link para a Batalha A partida analisada tinha um limite baixíssimo de apenas 12 Mana, sendo o tipo de jogo ideal para o Soul Strangler: o ataque extra que ele causou ao time inimigo foi o suficiente para garantir a vitória da partida!

I'm one of the players that regularly criticizes the usage of bots as they create a bad experience for new players; nonetheless, they're currently allowed by the game, and can be a valuable tool depending on one's investment strategy regarding the game.

During the month of August, I'll have some personal stuff to deal with, and I won't have enough time to play Splinterlands consistently. Thus, I decided to delve a bit into the botting world to see if I could find a solution to my lack-of-time problem!

[ENG] Playing a few Rounds of "Terraforming Mars - Digital Edition" Hello everyone!

This is a video in Portuguese in which I play the Board Game "Terraforming Mars - Digital Edition" for a few rounds in order to show you folks how the gameplay feels on the online version of the game! I'm having a blast playing some multiplayer matches when I have the free time to do it: the community is fairly active and there's always several matches open waiting for you to join; the ranked scene is active, and there's even an Official League that I'll be joining in the next months!

Nesse vídeo, eu jogo algumas rodadas do Jogo de Tabuleiro "Terraforming Mars - Digital Edition" para mostrar como é a gameplay desse game em sua versão online! [ENG] Portal Spinner and the Scattershot Ability Hello everyone!

This is a video in Portuguese in which I analyze the Portal Spinner, a Life Splinter Monster with the Scattershot Ability. I talk about the ability and why I deeply dislike it in the majority of the games, especially due the fact that this ability doesn't allow the player to focus the damage against a single enemy Monster, and why I don't consider buying this card a good investment.

I also show and analyze a match with one of the best Rulesets for the Portal Spinner (Explosive Weaponry), and even then I proceeded to lose the battle. If only I had used a different Ranged Monster, I could have won the match! Damned Portal Spinner!!! I blame you for my loss!! 😂

Nesse vídeo, eu vou analisar a carta Portal Spinner, um Monstro do Splinter de Vida (Life) com a habilidade Scattershot. Eu falo sobre essa habilidade e sobre o motivo pelo qual ela é, na minha opinião, a pior habilidade do jogo, especialmente por conta do fato de que ela não permite o jogador focar o dano em apenas um único Monstro inimigo, e porquê entendo que comprar essa carta não é um bom investimento.

Eu também comento uma partida com a Ruleset "Explosive Weaponry", uma das poucas regras propícias para o Portal Spinner; mas mesmo assim eu infelizmente perco a batalha. Se eu tivesse utilizado outra carta Ranged, provavelmente eu teria ganho a batalha! Maldito Portal Spinner! A culpa da minha derrota é sua!! 😂
