Hey Hive Open Mic community, how are you all?
I hope I posted this entry before the deadline, as what the line says better late than never lol.
This week’s theme is Love Hurts. So, this time I will be sharing a suicidal piece for you guys lol. Suicidal piece because it almost got me choked when singing this song.
A song version by a hard rock band Nazareth called Love Hurts. It’s exactly the same as the theme for this week. Nazareth was formed in December 1968 in Dunfermline Scotland.
I’m sure most of us only hear the most popular Nazareth version of the song, it’s a power ballad and the only rendition of Love Hurts became a hit single in the USA in early 1976.
The song was originally written by Boudleaux Bryant and first recorded by the Everly Brothers in a ballad genre.
Do you believe Love hurts a lot? Majority of the normal human beings had experienced heartbreak, it’s inescapable. It happened in any form of relationship it could be in a family, friendship and etc.

Are you a survivor? If you are reading this, yes you are.
We have survived from this pandemic with different variant of corona virus. You can still remember what happened on your birthday in 2019 but 2020 is the year that every single one of us cannot forget yet don’t want to recall it at all.
For this week's theme is “True Friend”. First of all, I want to apologize for my entry I mentioned 115 instead of 117. This was really recorded for this week, since the song is a killing piece for me so I can only sing it once in a week. After singing, I will be recovering my voice for the following week LOL.
Anyways I will be sharing with you a song from the American rock band Survivor called Ever Since The World Began. I’m pretty sure you have heard their songs already. Have you seen Sylvester Stallone movie Rocky III? The theme song was written by the Survivor, the song called Eye of The Tiger commonly played in the boxing or martial art venue.

For this week, the theme is More Than Words. Reading the post made me remember the song by Extreme band called exactly the same as the theme “More Than Words”.
Extreme is an American rock band from Boston Massachusetts that was formed in 1985. The band name was the evolution of Cherone (the vocalist) and Geary’s (the drummer) former band called The Dream which means Ex-Dream.
Because of that, I am sharing with you a song cover of the song More Than Words by Extreme. Bear with me on this please, as far as my memory is concerned, If I’m not mistaken, the last time I heard and sing this song was in 2002.

Have a wonderful day everyone. Here we are on the 113th week of hive openmic with the theme “Infantil”.
For this week, I will be sharing a song cover Open Arms by the American Rock Band Journey. The song was released in 1981 as a single from the Journey’s heavy metal soundtrack album. If you’re born in 80s I don’t think so if you haven’t heard how famous this song was even until today.
Open Arms has been covered by various musicians like Mariah Carey, Barry Manilow, Celine Dion as well as by the Boyz II Men. Also, being performed as the piece by numbers of contestants on musical shows in the US like The Voice, American Idol, Uk’s The X Factor and other countries. Of course in the Philippines as well, as we all know the Journey’s latest front man is a Filipino, Arnel Penida since 2007.
Anyways, I love the song but seems the song doesn’t really love me. I hope you still like it.

Another week, another new things we’ll learn. I hope everyone is fine and awesome.
Did you guys done your 2nd booster shot for covid-19 vaccine? Yes, I’m done in the last two days. I’ve got 3 different types of vax; 1st Dose-AstraZeneca 2nd Dose-Pfizer, 1st Booster-Moderna and 2nd Booster-Pfizer again. On my 2nd booster I asked the nurse if they have another brand so I can have all four in different source lol.
I think this vax will continue up to 10 doses. Just like every other month there’s another new variant of virus are being found.
Anyways, let’s just have fan. For this week’s theme “This Little Town” I will be sharing with you my simple rendition of Santa Fe by Bon Jovi.
The title of the song always makes me remember the beautiful tourist spot in Batayan Island Cebu Philippines. Santa Fe is one of the best places with beautiful beaches you will ever find in Bantayan Island.

How are you all today here in the community @hiveopenmic? I hope you are all great. In my home country Philippines, many are happy many are disgusted about the result of the Presidential Election 2022 that happened yesterday 9th of May. I just read it on facebook lol so let’s not talk about politics that’s bloody and I myself don’t want to talk about it.
We only live once so live it to the fullest, let us all be happy and free from stress. Grab a microphone, sing a song and you’ll be relaxed.
For this week 109 I will be sharing with you a song from Nickelback called Faraway. It is the very first song of the band that is all about being in love Chad Kroegersaid.
This week’s theme is Paper Kites, seems the lyrics of the song is like playing the kite. You are holding the kite line tight while letting your beloved and designed kite fly as far as it can go. It fly high and far above the sky while you are aware that it can be lost when it hit by the strong wind anytime.
Bear with me on this guys, I have just arrived from the office at 7:30PM and straight to recording this song just one take. My room is attached to the next room of my colleague, in any minute he’ll be here so I need to finish the recording before that or else I might be shot in the head because of my loud and annoying voice lol.

Hive Openmic Week 108 is up with the theme Undisclosed Words suggested by @hanselmusic. For this week I will be sharing with you my entry, a song by Bryan Adams called Somebody.
Many of us did not know about the fact of this song, did you? I’m pretty sure you’re not. The lyric of this song is surprisingly not in context and it doesn’t make since. That’s not my opinion but a real fact from the song co-writer Jim Vallance.
It is a relationship song but the second verse is all about the World War I. Bryan Adams and Jim Vallance are both interested in the WWI history since Bryan’s grandpa was a British Army and a WWI veteran.
Vallance elaborated that the lyrics, "And the winners are losers, you see it every night" were inspired by those nights he played drum in nightclubs. Are you surprised? Because most of the songfacts, th whole song has only one story but this has more than two stories being covered.

Les Bicyclettes De Belsize is a British musical short film made in 1968. A story of a young man cycling around and crashed into a billboard of a fashion model. He instantly felt in love with the model, it's definitely love at first Crash lol. From that day on, he search for the girl on the billboard with his bicycle until he met her. What a lovely story with a happy ending right?

Let me share with this vlog I originally posted in my youtube channel. It's about eating fruits the first time, I actually not aware that KIWI is a fruit until I came to Saudi Arabia I not kidding. Because if you say KIWI in the Philippines, most of us think about a black thing that is used to keep the formal shoes shining it's a shoe polish.
When my friend first ask me if I eat KIWI, I laughed and said "are gonna kill me or you gonna let me swallow your shoes after I eat KIWI?" lol. Anyway enough for that kiwi let's proceed to apricot that taste like papaya with a bit sour I don't know haha.

Hello hivers wazzup!
During this covid19 pandemic a lot of Filipinos working abroad were being distressed due to several reasons. Some of them were abandoned by there employers, they lost their jobs, some companies lost their projects. Some are still having jobs but salaries reduced to 20% up to 40% or even up to 60%, it's not easy for them.
We're just lucky that the company where I'm working at survived up to this date and praying that this pandemic will end soon so everything will be back to normal.
Just like this kabayan, he's selling his things for survival. I'ts been three months since he stopped working. He's working as an HVAC technician in an operation and maintenance company.
In this vlog we gave him some food/groceries at least that could help him save his money for the next few days. Also he's having an ulcer, he said he got it during this pandemic started because of too much diet since he lost his job. I am hoping and praying for their company to be back on operations, he has a family to support in the Philippines as well.
Guys if you are not really affected as what/how the other suffers during this pandemic, if you have extra kindly spread a little help to those who are in need. It might be financial, goods or prayers that's a huge help for them an let us make them feel that they are not forgotten.
