Come hang out with the top social media strategy team (my team) from this year's nationals. Slightly more laid back than the top gold episode, we get into all of our favorite memories from putting our presentation together, as well as more stories from nationals. Enjoy!
Gamma Gamma. Top Gold Chapter. 18 times in the last 27 years. It's a dynasty. We sit down and chat with the top gold presentation team, as well as our outgoing chapter president, and recap the week at Nationals. From stories from preparing for Nationals, to stories at Nationals and around St. Louis, you won't want to miss this one. Enjoy, and as always, Love the Chapter!
We're back! Kicking off this semester with a bang with Bekah Legault, Charlotte Thaler, and Frances Cors joining the show to talk about how they took their approach to getting involved with Greek life at Miami in the non-traditional sense. Lots of fun stories and shoutouts along the way. Enjoy! Love the Chapter.
Today we had our outgoing Director of DEI, Lauren Somers, on to talk about a variety of DEI topics. It is a very entertaining, yet educational listen. We talk on topics such as presenting yourself as religious in college and how we have found community in that, DEI initiatives within PSE, and even Hamilton. Enjoy our last episode of the semester! We will be back next year!
It's here. The time has come. Weeks of me subtlely slipping in Taylor Swift references are over and we have a full episode fully dedicated to the queen herself. Lydia Humphrey and Cole Pittman join me to explore everything from her tour, the effects the tour had on the cities she performed in, carbon emissions, and much more, all from a non-biased critical view. We did squeeze in some time to rank our favorite albums at the end, don't you worry. Enjoy!
On this episode of Chapter Chatter, Hannah Bridges and Grace Gaston join the show to talk about some of the ways PSE gives back to the community. Hannah is the Director of Community Service, and Grace is the Director of TOSS, our biggest philanthropy event. Tune in for some great stories about our community outreach, a tear-jerker story in the first 5 minutes of the episode, and a story about a fundraising ball hosted by John Stamos and a hologram version of Howie Mandel. Hope you enjoy!
On today's episode of Chapter Chatter, we welcome on Mimi Purdum and Mallory Stiles. Both of them have majors outside of the Farmer Business School, as Mimi is in Computer Science, and Mallory is in Theatre. They share with us how PSE has helped them grow professionally through business experiences. We get into involvement within the chapter, internship experience over the summer, and how they can incorporate their PSE skills and professional development into their unique majors. Additionally, we talk a little bit about PSE's new partnership with the brand new Fisher Innovation College@Elm, as well as recapping a funny moment from its opening. Lots to learn, lots to enjoy! Thanks for listening, and Love the chapter!
Welcome back to Chapter Chatter! It's your host, Zach Hazard, back like I never left. After our break for the summer, we are back with two amazing new guests, Elaina Hauncher and Nisso Sacha. Last February we talked about the recruitment process from the administrative side, and this recruitment season I wanted to have some new members on who got into PSE last spring. They share all about going through the process, why they chose PSE, what skills they gained and developed, and how PSE has helped their internship search. Speaking of internships, we all share how our summer internships went, as well as some other fun adventures we went on over the summer. Give it a listen! I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

(00:00-37:24) WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS!! Recently, Gamma Gamma competed in PSE's Nationals competition, and we won Top Gold Chapter! We had our wonderful top gold leadership team on to discuss their process and everything that went into their leadership of the rest of the chapter. Danielle Barnes, Nathan Denny, Kate Buckley, and Sarah Holman shared all of their wisdom and their experiences that went into preparing for as well as presenting at Nationals. Lots of fun non-professional memories from the week as well, including the lore of Colonial Williamsburg. Great segment all around!
(37:24-54:36) Next up we had our wonderful faculty advisor Dr. Don Norris on to discuss his role within the chapter as well as his role at Nationals. He has been an integral part of the dynasty that we have built regarding winning Top Gold Chapter so many times, and he has a lot of wisdom to share.
On today's episode of Chapter Chatter, we have Sam Rogers and Jane McKinley on to ask and answer some fun and creative interview questions that you might get asked in job interviews, but aren't the traditional "Tell me a time when..." interview questions. There are little to no rules for these questions and we have a lot of fun with them! We discuss everything from how to bounce back from failures, to pirate names, to arguably the greatest kids cartoon show of all time (according to a certain host). This has been one of our favorite episodes to record and I hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed recording it! Love the chapter!
On today's episode of Chapter Chatter, we have two amazing guests on, Dhruv Dhawan and Mason Seitz, to talk about an app called Oxbux. Oxbux is part of a PSE project with Keep It Indie, whose goal is to help small businesses thrive in Oxford. Dhruv is the project manager, and Mason is the sales manager for the project. We dive into what the app is, how it works, the origins of how Keep It Indie got involved with PSE, and all the deals and promotions you can earn while using Oxbux. Additionally, we have some more random segments such as Song of the Week and Subjective Trivia, and we wrap up with the Mount Rushmore of Food Spots in Uptown Oxford. It's a lot of fun, very informative, and enjoy listening! Love the Chapter!
