Have you ever been frustrated that you couldn't do something that should be easy to do? Often times, following Jesus isn't easy. We find ourselves failing to do the things we should do and doing the things that we shouldn't do. And it is FRUSTRATING and DISCOURAGING.
God didn't intend for His Word to discourage and bring condemnation upon His children. While God's Word does show that we are condemned; He gave us His word to show us how He has redeemed us. And for those who choose to follow Christ, there is now no condemnation!
"Search me" is an invitation for God to look into our heart and show us what we need to get rid of so that we can follow Him.
When Nehemiah was moved by a crisis, He didn't go to God seeking relief. He stopped to take note of who he was, who God was, and what God was doing. Then Nehemiah prayed that he could be involved in what God was already doing.
What do you need to take note of today about God and yourself? What promises do you need to be reminded of today? What is something that God is doing where you are that you can get involved in?
We have expectations in marriage that are not often met. I believe that we have the wrong expectations in the first place. God has created marriage to be something far more wonderful than we can imagine. The key is that Happily Ever After is more about holiness than it is about happiness. And in the end the pursuit of holiness leads us to happiness.
The story of the Woman at the Well is very familiar to us all. It shows us how Jesus shared the Gospel and how new believers responded.
How do you see God? When Isaiah saw God in the temple, he knew that God was a big deal. We often treat God like He's a little token that we pull out of our pocket, but if we could get a renewed vision of God everyday by looking in His Word, we would never treat God like that again.
Like the city of Gibeon, we can fee like the whole world is against us. BUT the wonderful truth of God's Word is that He is always with us and He is our defender.
Although Gibeon deceived Israel into a peace treaty, they should be remembered for their desperation for salvation.

In Joshua, we see how God calls for us to be brave as we serve Him. This first section of Joshua shows us how we can serve God fearlessly.
Jesus left us with one command when He left, make disciples. This sermon focuses on how the church needs to be making disciples.

Many times we work to earn or keep our salvation. We feel like we are a slave, when Christ came to give us life and freedom. The Gospel is the good news that God has already made the way and done all the work. All we are called to do is follow the path He has laid out for us.
When we look at the temptations of Adam and Jesus, we clearly see that Jesus succeeded where Adam failed. So what is the secret to resisting temptation? Jesus shows us in His trials in the wilderness.
The Trinity is so mysterious, we often neglect to talk about it. But the truth is that there is a great powerful message of the gospel in the essence of the Trinity.
Moms and dads often spend so much time pouring themselves into their children, that they forget to spend time with each other. Strengthening your marriage is crucial to building up a Godly generation of children.
One of the greatest things we can do for our children is bless them. They need it from us, but most of all they need us to call for God's blessing in their lives.
We can't just live the example of a Christian life and expect our children to follow us. We have to intentionally teach them how to follow God.
You can fool church people on Sunday, but the depth of your walk with God is truly seen by your family and most importably by God when you go home. What do they see?
