Join hosts Boogie and Kam, as they discuss horror films ranging through the many decades of the genre. Sit back and go... beyond the senses as we hang out and talk horror through the decades with each episode discussing one film ranging from the 1960βs to current modern horror films. We have a love for every decade of the genre in some way or another. We also discuss what is new and brief discussions of recent films we have watched.
We ran into technical difficulties when originally recording episode 35, so we had to re-record it over again, unfortunately. Although this time, instead of featuring just our 80's pick, we went and threw in our 90's pick as well. Which, both are very Lovecraftian in their own original ways. We talk about Kam's pick of Stuart Gordon's RE-ANIMATOR (1985) & Boog's pick of Mariano Baino's DARK WATERS (1993). Hopefully the mishaps are officially behind us going forward, and hope that you can find some enjoyment in this weird episode, haha. Sit back, relax, and go...BEYOND THE SENSES!
70's week! Boogie has gone with the quintessential zombie classic, DAWN OF THE DEAD from 1978. Written and directed by the godfather of the dead, the late, George A. Romero. This is a special episode for Boog, since it's ONLY his favorite movie of all time. So sit back, and keep your eyes peeled because the mall is full of the living dead! But while you fend for yourself, let's go...BEYOND THE SENSES!
We have circled back to the 1960's yet again, and this time it's Kam's pick for the week. And he's decided to go with the ever so stylish & classy Giallo, BLOOD AND BLACK LACE from the year 1964, directed by the Maestro of the Macabre himself, Mario Bava! But before we get into mysterious happenings at the fashion house, we each talk a little about a film we've watched during the week. Which, if you'll recall from the last episode, this will be the way things roll for the foreseeable future. So sit back and enjoy our foray into our first Giallo on the podcast, which we're sure is the first of many to come! Enjoy!
We hope everyone's holidays were just swell. But as for us, we're back to our regular format of one movie per episode. For episode 32, Boogie has chosen the Osgood Perkins, dark fairy tale reimagined, GRETEL & HANSEL from 2020! In addition to that, we also talk a little about the brand new Blumhouse flick, NIGHT SWIM, that we both were able to catch in theaters. The final episode of the year, the always exciting, Top 10 Horror films of 2023. These are our favorite, not necessarily the best. Although, the two can both be true. Listen to hear which films we enjoyed, and which ones not so much. We also include two honorable mentions each, as well. We hope you enjoy, and we would love to know your favorites! On to 2024!

Happy Thanksgiving to you all. We know the holiday may have a dark past, but I think we as a whole, can turn it into something beautiful. A day to be thankful for everything we have. And Horror is one of them! Anywho, we're back from a little break with a Turkey day double feature. Yep, Eli Roth's Thanksgiving has finally come to fruition for us horror fans, and we're here to chat about it's awesomeness! But it's not Thanksgiving without John Grissmer's Blood Rage from 1987. From Haddonfield to Hull House, we've finally arrived at the final stop in our BEYOND THE WITCHING HOUR special! And what a way to end it, than with Boog's pick of Kevin Tenney's NIGHT OF THE DEMONS from 1988. Of course we talk about recent Horror news as well such as, Terrifier 3/The Black Phone 2/the Blacula remake/& Trick or Treat (1986) coming to Screambox, and Blu ray through Synapse films! Boog's pick is up for this rendition of BEYOND THE WITCHING HOUR, and he's chosen the Dwight H Little directed, Halloween 4 : The Return of Michael Myers from 1988! Since it's the Halloween season, we figured we had to talk about this film. At least for Boogie, it was a must. We both really love it, and saw this as the perfect time to delve into it. And there's a lot to discuss! We also go over some news, per usual. Such as; the Halloween rights debacle, A Wonderful Knife (2023), In Search of Darkness 90-94, and more! We hope you enjoy!
This week is a bit different from our regular episodes. We decided to bring on a long time friend, Jordan Duffourc, who runs the company Horror School Customs. He creates screen accurate, Horror costumes, masks, props, etc of lots of popular horror films such as Halloween, The Strangers, Killer Klowns from Outer Space, Jeepers Creepers & many more! So we thought that bringing him on as our first EVER special guest, would be a cool change up. Movies are also talked about as well! Overall, we had a really good time recording with him, along with just good back and forth chit chat. Hope you guys dig it!
