The Department for Education have confirmed that from 4th September 2023, the ratio for toddlers in early years settings will be increasing from 1:4 to 1:5. On 15th March 2023, the Government announced their Spring 2023 budget and there are some big changes planned for the early years sector. This includes increasing the adult: child ratio to 1:5 for 2 year olds and the introduction of 15 and 30 hour funded childcare for children over 9 months.
