In this episode, Mike talks about being intentional in business when it comes to using the resources that we have been blessed with, while keeping in mind that God will help us, as He is our provider. God is the source of all provision simultaneously. God sends us wisdom, He sends us relationships. He sends us people to us as employees and even customers for a reason. And he expects us to use all of those things to further His kingdom. The Bible says, he who is faithful with the little, I will give more. God wants us to take what we’ve been given to create more. He's not there to just come and just drop money in your bank account. So, what are the things he's given you? You have to invest in some way. You can invest in education and grow and gain new knowledge or new wisdom or new skills that you can use, whether that's in marketing or increasing your sales ability or investing in your business in hiring people, hiring salespeople or hiring other people to do the work so that you can go sell more or outsourcing things, right? Don't waste your resources. Acknowledge that they came from the Lord. Realize that you're not doing it on your own power. Yes, you have skills, yes, you have wisdom, you have experience, you have knowledge, you have relationships. You have all of those things. But at the end of the day, God is your provider. He's just giving you all of those things as tools to help meet and provide for those areas in your life. In this episode, Mike talks about the key to success in life. - which is not what you may think it is or have been told it is. He shares that one of the keys to success in life is serving, as a lot of the results that have come out of his life are all tied to serving in some way, shape, or form. His business was started out of an opportunity that he had to serve a friend, his marriage was started through his wife serving on the worship team at her local church, and he's met so many incredible people and has been able to do many amazing things because of the choice to serve. However, even though there can be incredible things that can come out of serving others, Mike shares the importance of not serving for our own benefit and doing things for other people for manipulative reasons or doing things to be like "Hey, let me do this so I can get this from someone", because people see right through that. But if you're genuinely seeking to just serve others, the results of that are tremendous and amazing. Ultimately, God sees your heart and sees what your motives are when you serve. Are you doing it for selfish gain, or are you genuinely serving because it is something that God has called you to do? Have you ever been that place in life where you feel like things are just hard? It's like, can't this just be easier? That's what Mike is going to talk about on this episode. A lot of times when we go through things they are meant to ultimately shape us and mold us into people we're meant to be, but also to equip us to minister to others. Mike shares that he's gotten to the point where he looks forward to the rough times because he knows that it's in those rough times he gets really, really close to God and he gets to know more about His character and see Him providing and be the provision for you as you go through the tough time. One of the reasons that w ego through hard things is because it's a tool God's using to mold and shape us into who we're supposed to be. God can't rub off the rough edges in our lives or a personality if things are just always easy all the time. So it's got to be hard for that reason because God is using that to equip you for other people. God is using the hard things you're going through because he knows that you're capable of going through them because you have the wherewithal, the personality, the ability, essentially, to go through those hard things and to come out the other side still praising God and still intact. So keep going and choose to endure knowing that by enduring, you're not only helping yourself but God will also use you to speak to others. In this episode, Mike shares how we all need a solid, strong support system. He shares that if you have a good support system, don't neglect it as we often find ourselves doing, but instead, reach out and ask for help. Through Vulnerability, God can begin or continue the transformation inside of your life that He wants to do. The thing is, we've all been in tough situations. We've all been in stresses and trials, and God puts us through those things a lot of times so that we're equipped to help other people, right? But if you have a good support system, don't neglect it. Take advantage of it. We want to be there for our fellow brothers and sisters, but we have to allow ourselves to be vulnerable to reach out and ask for that. A lot of times it's hard to do. But when we do, God always meets us where we're at. So take that and apply that to your own life. If you need a friend or you need someone to help support you on your journey, be the person that you need in someone else, and God will use that one to help you to overcome some of the struggles and some of the stresses and trials that you're going through. But he will also use that to find a mirror of someone else to be that for you. In this episode Mike shares why he chose to record this podcast solely on his iPhone. He was recently having a conversation with his team about podcasting, video marketing, and other topics and even though his team create highly produced weekly podcasts, he shares why this daily podcast is different. Because it highlights the importance of maintaining integrity and creating content that is beneficial and impactful. While they have all the necessary equipment and a studio, they do not always have enough time to go into the studio and record when they are inspired. This leads to the question of what is the priority when producing content – getting the content out quickly or getting the best, most produced content. The speaker concluded that by doing it quickly, it allows them to be more inspired and also allows their audience to get more value from the content. That's what leads to one of his company's core values, "Done is better than perfect." His priority isn't to create the best looking content, but rather to be raw and real, allowing him to connect further with the listeners and show them who he is, which allows him to create and encourage a brotherhood of people who can relate to one another, providing a resource to lean on during tough times. In this episode, Mike Harvey provides a realistic and honest perspective on the challenges of being a Christian entrepreneur and shares some advice that will give you the tools needed to succeed. He goes over the importance of being transparent and vulnerable when you feel like you're in a dark place, especially if you're a business owner. It's not always easy to reach out for help, but it is important to build a support system to help one another through difficult times. He shares about a time that he was having a tough day feeling discouraged, so he reached out to a close friend, a fellow brother in Christ and asked for words of wisdom on how to handle the situation. His friend didn't give him what he wanted to hear, but gave him what he needed to hear and it was encouraging - it was what God wanted him to hear. This conversation encourages those who are feeling discouraged and not feeling uplifted. It suggests to pray to God for encouragement and to reach out to other people in their life who can provide them with the wisdom they need. This conversation is a reminder to be the friend that you need in others, and to minister to others, as this can help with their own healing. In this episode, Mike Harvey talks about the importance of relationships in business and in life. He emphasizes that relationships are key to success, and that focusing on building relationships has been one of the most successful things he has done. The conversation is about the concept of Dream 100 which was popularized by Chat Holmes and Charlie Munger. It is an idea that instead of focusing on thousands of potential prospects, one should focus on a set of 100 potential clients. Russell Brunson took this concept and suggested zooming out to focus on the people who have congregated our Dream clients. Mike goes on to talk about how it is important to prioritize relationships with mentors in order to build different areas of life including marriage, family, and business. He emphasizes the importance of not just looking at the relationships as a means to an end, but rather as a genuine connection. He also draws from the Bible to point out that Jesus used this same concept, having twelve disciples to change the world. Mike shares how spending money on ads and sales calls is important, but it is not as effective or as quick as building relationships. Relationships are an essential part of business and are far more important than money, as they can lead to greater success. He encourages people to focus on developing relationships rather than just looking for money, as it is the fastest way to grow a business and have a greater impact.
