Arise, shine; For your light has come! And the glory of the LORD is risen upon you. For behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, And deep darkness the people; But the LORD will arise over you, And His glory will be seen upon you. The Gentiles shall come to your light, And kings to the brightness of your rising. In this passage it tells you to shine even when deep darkness is covering the people not in Christ. I hate when I start thinking I know a lot or I'm ahead of people. God has been showing me that learning keeps me humble. Knowledge can make people haughty, but if you are actually seeking God's wisdom and understanding then the more you learn the more you realize you don't know and it will keep you humble. I learned this lesson the hard way. God was teaching me I could stay in peace, but I was feeling like I was being crushed by the pressures of life and there were scriptures I couldn't balance peace with, like in John 16:33 where it says - "These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world." I didn't understand and that brought anxiety instead of peace, but God stuck with me and kept showing me truth. Join us in this episode as we talk on some of that today.
