Judge Weber’s program provides comprehensive, evidence-based substance abuse treatment for applicants who would otherwise be routed to the jail and prison system to serve out their sentences. In a rural region of Illinois where drug treatment options are limited and expensive, the treatment court’s rehabilitation program has graduated nearly 100 clients who have gone on to positively impact their families and community, in addition to saving the region hundreds of thousands of dollars in incarceration fees. Judge Weber’s personal connection to the region inspires her to continue to use her office to give a hand up to the residents in her jurisdiction
