Understanding the Subconscious and Your Voice

In this episode, we dive into how the subconscious plays a crucial role in shaping the way we use our voice. It’s a deeply personal journey that can often be misunderstood, and today, we explore some hard truths behind why people may think they've "got it," only to realize there's much more work to be done.

Key Topics:

  • The Subconscious at Play: How the subconscious tries to protect you by keeping you playing small, even in situations where you think you've made progress.
  • Voice and Vulnerability: Your voice is a representation of your identity, and because of past experiences, your subconscious tries to guard you from being truly heard.
  • Overcoming the Voice Masks: The barriers and “masks” we use in communication are often subconscious efforts to hide vulnerability. Learn why these barriers must be removed to reveal your authentic self.
  • The Illusion of Progress: The dangerous belief that attending one free training or learning a few techniques means you've "mastered" voice work. Why ongoing practice and deep work are essential for real transformation.
  • Real-World Examples: Stories from past clients and their journeys, from initial struggles to breakthroughs, emphasizing the importance of consistent work and deep subconscious rewiring.
  • Practical Steps for Improvement: How to connect to tactics that override subconscious blocks and allow you to express your true voice in any situation.

Key Takeaway: Your subconscious might be tricking you into believing you're making more progress than you really are, especially when it comes to voice work. To truly be heard, you must confront the protective mechanisms your subconscious has built around your voice and push past the illusions of progress.

Next Steps:

  • If you’ve felt stuck or plateaued in your voice work, it's time to dig deeper. Overcoming the subconscious barriers will help you unlock the power of your authentic voice.
  • Connect with Tracy for more in-depth training and coaching on how to break free from these subconscious tricks and step into your full potential as a communicator.

In this episode, we dive deep into the intersection of voice and sales, uncovering how outdated sales tactics are costing businesses, while connection and authenticity are leading the charge for success.

Key Discussion Points:

  1. Sales Tactics Gone Wrong
    • Tracy shares insights from a recent conversation with a student about sales tactics that focus too much on controlling the outcome.
    • The brain's natural response to hard-sell tactics is to "find an out," leaving the buyer focusing on how to exit the conversation instead of being open to the offer.
  2. The Importance of Voice and Connection
    • Authenticity in sales isn't just about what you say; it's about how you say it. Tracy shares research on how the brain processes certain sales questions and explains how buyer trust has shifted in recent years.
    • Voice is more than just a tool for communication—it's the key to creating connection and trust.
  3. Bad Sales Information & Buyer Burnout
    • The problem of buyer trust is discussed, with real-life examples of failed sales strategies, broken promises, and misuse of trademarked material.
  4. Why Authenticity is the New Currency
    • Drawing from her data and personal experience, Tracy talks about how buyers are increasingly leaning into authenticity and connection.
    • She highlights how high-pressure questions, gimmicks, and surface-level sales tactics no longer work in today's marketplace.
  5. How to Avoid the ‘Salesy’ Trap
    • Tracy shares a charming story about a client worried about being too “salesy” and how reframing her approach to be more genuine and confident shifted her success rate dramatically.
    • Salesy techniques often push people away, while a focus on transparency and realness can create a stronger bond with potential buyers.
  6. The Future of Sales in a Post-2020 World
    • Tracy dives into the shifts happening post-2020, discussing how the COVID-19 pandemic changed the marketplace and the increased focus on online learning and selling.
    • The role of AI in amplifying the need for connection and authenticity is also explored.
  7. The Power of Sound in Sales
    • One of the most fascinating points Tracy highlights is how people are retrospectively identifying that they knew they shouldn't have made certain purchases.
    • This underscores the idea that people are seeking sounds that align with the experience they want, and that making real connections through voice is crucial for long-term success.
  8. What’s Next: Preparing for 2025
    • As we move toward 2025, sales strategies need to evolve.
    • Tracy emphasizes that what worked in sales before will no longer be effective, and now is the time to adapt.

Takeaways: Sales in today’s market isn't about manipulating outcomes or following rigid templates. It’s about using your voice to create authentic, genuine connections with your potential buyers. If you’re not paying attention to the sounds and signals you’re giving off, you may be losing sales without even realizing it. The world has changed, and so has sales—it’s time to evolve.

Understanding the Psychology of the Voice

Introduction

  • In this episode, we delve into the concept of the Psychology of the Voice, exploring its foundational principles and its profound impact on personal and professional communication.

Background and Methodology

  • Tracy introduces the concept of Psychology of the Voice, a methodology she developed to uncover how people's voices affect their interactions and relationships.
  • The methodology focuses on how subconscious processes influence listeners' perceptions based solely on the sound of one's voice.

Challenges Addressed

  • Tracy discusses the common issues faced by individuals due to misrepresentative or protective sounds in their voice.
  • She emphasizes how these sounds can hinder connection, authenticity, and influence potential clients and listeners.

The Seven Layers of Sound

  • Tracy outlines the seven layers of sound that make up her methodology, each layer representing different aspects of vocal expression and subconscious influence.

Impact and Results

  • Through her work, Tracy has been able to identify specific vocal patterns that indicate traits such as people-pleasing or perfectionism in individuals.
  • She shares anecdotes of how addressing these vocal patterns has significantly improved clients' outcomes in various aspects of their lives, from business success to personal relationships.

Evolution of the Methodology

  • Tracy reflects on the evolution of her methodology over three decades, from her beginnings as a dialect coach to developing the comprehensive framework of Psychology of the Voice.

Three Pillars of Psychology of the Voice

  1. Unearth: Addressing internal narratives and voice stories that influence vocal habits.
  2. Unmask: Identifying and removing "voice masks," which are protective layers of sound that inhibit authenticity and connection.
  3. Unleash: Allowing individuals to express their true voice authentically and confidently.

Transformational Outcomes

  • Tracy shares success stories where clients achieved significant improvements in their professional and personal lives by embracing their authentic voice.
  • She emphasizes that the methodology isn't just about superficial changes but about achieving internal freedom and confidence.

Conclusion

  • Tracy invites listeners to explore more about Psychology of the Voice and join her in uncovering the nuances of authentic communication.
  • She previews upcoming episodes where she will delve deeper into specific aspects of the methodology and share more transformative insights.

Closing Remarks

  • Tracy reaffirms her commitment to helping individuals reclaim their authentic voice and invites listeners to engage with her ongoing research and teachings.

These show notes capture the essence of Tracy's discussion on the Psychology of the Voice, highlighting its transformative potential in personal and professional communication.

Ashley was a joy to assess. This is another classic case of sounds misrepresenting sounds that are not only covering up the best and most critical sounds for her success but also could be costly for her. In fact, in this transformation, I think you're going to hear shades and shadows of other episodes where I talk about my concerns about how the subconscious of the buyer is processing her sound.

Ashley and I had a great conversation about this.

Ashley is no nonsense and brilliant. What I want to see happen in this transformation is for her to lead with her vocal superpower. Ultimately, I want to hear the softness, the invitation, the deep care. I want a reveal of more of the shades of feeling and for her to truly let down the barrier that allows for connection on a deeper level. What she wants to reveal isn't quite sinking up with what is being revealed, and that is what I'm going to work on today.

Tune in for this amazing transformation with Ashley.

Welcome to the show.

Ambila is incredibly smart and works from an intellectual perspective.

Problematically though, she is in her head and that is causing a limit in true feeling and connection. She is delightful and has so many great things working for her in her voice, but there is still something that is not being fully expressed and that something reveals more of who she really is.

Her intelligence is trumping her true gift of making us feel like we belong and matter but those sounds are just below the surface.

This will be one of those transformations where I'm dealing with microscopic sounds, the size of a grain of sand.

Tune in to hear this incredible yet subtle transformation.

Welcome to the show.

It was clear from the first few minutes I heard Lauren that she was really smart and likeable but dealing with classic peacekeeper people, pleaser mask manifestations.

Getting rid of some of the people pleasing sounds will be the key part of any transformation I do with her.

In today's episode, you're going to learn something fascinating about how she wants to come across the effort that she's making to create that sound and my interpretation of how that is going sideways.

Lauren is putting something in place to get a result and the very thing she is putting in place will actually cost her from getting the result because the sounds are not what she perceives them to be.

The people pleaser mask has many pieces to it. Lauren has several them that she executes in her voice, and while she knows she is a people pleaser, she did not realize how many sounds are being manifested from that voice mask.

Tune in for this interesting and powerful transformation.

Welcome to the show!
Today I've got an episode where I'm updating you on what I'm hearing. I definitely hear patterns that are consistent with my day to day coaching of voices. I hear sounds that are limiting and costing people and in most episodes I move one of them out with a specific technique.

What concerns me about what I'm hearing from the guests is that the subconscious is taking over as I'm even working with them, the subconscious is saying...okay, got it.
This is a lie of the mind and something that circumvents the transformation that so many people need when it comes to shifting their voice from the inside out.

I'll do more of these overviews and I'll also be doing some specific updates on shows and why there is so much more than just what you hear in a 30 minute snippet.
Your subconscious has spent a lifetime locking in habits, sounds that don't serve you, covering up the real you.

It is unrealistic to think that shifts with one sound, it's a rubber band ball and it is unique to each person. The shifts are critical and it's an inside/outside job, it doesn't happen overnight but it can happen quickly.

It's also important though to know how you are being processed in the subconscious of the listener...that is where we begin and that in my mind is the value of the show, to discover that perception of what is being put out in the world is not lining up with what the listener is receiving and both might not be what you want them to receive.

Tune in to find out more about the transformation process I work through and my thoughts around these voices I've been assessing.

Welcome to the show.

One of the things that I love about this conversation with Victor is how open he is to the possibility of another option and his awareness that he is holding back and why.

Victor, as you will find out when you listen to the show, is working from a place of protection, and that protection comes from significant, real proof from his past negative experiences.

His subconscious is working overtime to protect the real authenticity that I hear in his voice to keep him safe.

The problem that I see for Victor is that he is potentially going to lose connection if he works from the protected version of his voice, and he might lose possible followers and clients as well. Some of his sounds are misrepresenting him, and I have no doubt that some people are reading him the wrong way.

I'm excited for you to hear the transformation when we make just a few shifts.

Welcome to the show.

Today’s voice transformation is with Sara who has overcome tremendous obstacles and is doing big work in the world. This is a unique situation because there are circumstantial factors at play in how she uses her voice that are quite real and somewhat critical to factor into the transformation. However, even with these critical factors, I believe there are opportunities for her to stand in more power and so does she, that’s why she is here.

I'm going to talk a little bit more about words than I usually do in todays episode, but I'm also going to address the tentativeness in Sara’s voice from her past experiences. I want her standing in full power so part of the transformation will be internal and external rewriting and changing the meaning on a few things.

First, I’ll take on ownership and get her to maximize her voice superpowers. Today’s transformation is classic Psychology of the Voice.

Welcome to the show!

Today’s voice transformation is with Sheri. Sheri is great, and the thing that I would love to transform the most for her is the ability to reveal feeling and degrees of feeling AND with ease.

Feeling is never the first reveal when it comes to voice transformation. Quite often people come on the show, and they really want to know how to work with and reveal feeling. Unfortunately, we have to deal with blocks and barriers first.

Layers one through six are not going to let that fullest expression found in layer seven out, not a chance. Even when our fullest expression can be revealed we don’t always play degrees of emotion. This means today I need to take on sounds that are blocking the fullest degrees of emotion. Sounds that are not representing her the way I want them to.

I hear in her voice a protection, and a borderline defense, not typical defense but a defense of who she really is, really allowed to be. It, I believe she says it perfectly in the episode.

Part of this transformation will include lifting the heaviness so that there can be space for us to lean into her, space to let us in. Right now, there's no space for me to lean in. Protection is the block.

Tune in, you don’t want to miss this transformation.

Welcome to the show!

Today’s transformation is with Cynthia who has the most gentle, kindest, wonderful feel emanating from her voice.

One of the qualities in her voice, one of her superpowers is the ability to put us at ease which is a great voice super power. But, there are a few things in her voice that are not being maximized and this is where today’s transformation begins. The first thing I’ll need to take on is class Pillar One in Psychology of the Voice, deciding what we are thinking and concern over judgment. The need to get things right is also at play here.

I need to get Cynthia working from the right place to eradicate the sounds that are tentative and misrepresenting her in the subconscious of the listener.

Passion and degrees of emotion are not part of the experience she is revealing but they are very much a part of her, it’s critical to get her to a place of revealing those sounds.

This transformation will start with an internal rewrite and then an external release will follow.

For Cynthia, a foundation of rock is what I’m looking for so she can stand in authority and have inner confidence that flows out through her voice.

Releasing the Celebration with Hannah

Welcome to the show.

Sometimes we think we have to be serious, maybe even prove our knowledge
base, and that we can help people. We hide all the fun and positive notes in us
because we fall into a belief that if we use those notes we just won’t be
professional.

Our subconscious aids our decision that surely passion, fun feeling are
absolutely not allowed when it comes to being a professional.

In today’s transformation I’m working with Hannah.

She is clearly smart, knows what she's talking about, and can help people…all
of which is clear in her voice. But half her shades are not being revealed, the
seventh layer shades are being kept at bay with caution, fear of being too much
just like when she was a child.

Tune in to hear Hannah's transformation and the reveal of the celebration
moments.

Welcome to the show.

I think you will find today's transformation quite interesting.

The initial sounds that I heard from Katie were repellent, but I knew there was more under those sounds in a very short conversation with her.

About mid-episode she shares a story with me that makes it crystal clear the voice story that did the damage I hope to unravel.

Today’s episode is what Psychology of the Voice was built on.

One phrase causes our subconscious to react and go into protection mode. Just like that a story and even worse, a voice habit that misrepresents is put in place.

The top layers I hear in Katie’s voice represent what she was told she had to be in order to be successful. She’s used her voice that for a long time to “be” that.

What I'm doing today in this episode is shockingly common in my day-to-day work tune.

Tune in to hear Katie's transformation going from sounds of protection and barriers and blocks to the best reveal of who she really is.

Welcome to the show.

Holding back, playing small, analyzing every single sound to ensure she gets it
right are all tricks of the subconscious to keep my guest today, Christine.

One of the things you'll hear in Christine's transformation is she is well aware of what is happening. Awareness is key for transformation, but you'll discover in this episode what is happening in the mind cannot be corrected without correcting the voice habit playing out.

Christine is keeping the best parts of her from us, for good reason. But, the next
level of success for her lies in that very release.

The mind may have shifted but the body keeps the score in the form of a voice
habit.

In Christine';s case, the body has created a habit that ensures she stays playing
small and safe. A voice Governor, if you will.

Tune in and find out if I’m able to get that voice governor off and set Christine
free.

Welcome to the show.

Have you ever felt like you had to be on? Perform?

If so, then today’s episode is really going to resonate with you.

Today, I've got a transformation with Karen. Karen has done a lot of inner work
but her core history when it comes to using her voice is on, perform.

One of the things I often talk about is what I hear on the inside versus the
outside. When someone has done a lot of inner work, counseling, worked on
themselves, I can hear it. But, even with that inner work, there is a set of habits
in the voice that are actually in the muscle memory.

This is the case with Karen.

Nuanced sounds are still reflecting things that I don’t want her listener’s
subconscious to process.

Sounds that push, prove, and possibly even repel.

Tune in to hear Karen’s subtle yet powerful transformation.

Welcome to the show.

Today I'm working with John Rice. John’s transformation is primarily focused
around the need to play bigger and reveal his true self.

One of the biggest pieces for John which is one of the biggest pieces for
everyone is focusing on getting it right. I call this working from the wrong
place. If we are working from the wrong place, we can’t reveal the biggest,
boldest and most authentic version of who we are.

This is what the subconscious wants!

Until we shift working from the wrong place, we can never fully express all the
shades that are buried in layer seven. The passion, the desire, the feeling…the
most critical pieces of our voice.

Connection, authenticity and how we make people feel far outweigh getting the
words right every single time.

Tune in to see John and the transformation towards revealing his most authentic
self.

Today I've got Lisa with me and we had an incredibly important conversation.

Lisa's situation is very common and something I deal with a lot with people I'm working with.

The subconscious has us work in past or future proof, real or false proof.

It doesn't matter which, all of these whether it's past or future, real or false all play
havoc on our ability to communicate effectively.

Lisa is dealing with past negative proof.

She is also foreshadowing vocally because of this.

You don't want to miss this episode, this may feel all too common to you.

Tune in and hear Lisa's amazing transformation.

Welcome to the show.

Today I'm working with Kelly out of the UK.

Kelly is one of the many people I've worked with over the years that is no nonsense.

It's not a problem to be direct and no nonsense, but one of the key pieces to the transformation for Kelly is going to be around how she wants to be received vs. how her no nonsense is actually being received by her listener.

When you listen to today's episode, you're going to hear Kelly talk about things that potential clients have said to her and discovering something really key around that information.

Kelly's episode and transformation are primarily focused on lining up perception and reception against what she wants the person to feel so that her sound won't misrepresent who she really is and the sounds that represent the best version of her will be revealed.

Tune in and hear Kelly's awesome transformation from no nonsense to invitation.

Welcome to the show!

Today, I’m working with Jennifer who is an analytical thinker. This the greatest challenge for her.  Being in her head is creating a sound that is being processed as tentative, unsure lack of knowledge. Those sounds are significantly misrepresenting who she really is.

Jennifer is clearly very smart and knowledgeable, an expert at her craft.  Jennifer is trying to get it right but there is something more at play here than just needing, wanting to get the words right and it’s blocking the reveal of her real voice, her most authentic self.

The subconscious has a protection mechanism at play her and behind that protection lies next level degrees of connection and fullest expression. There is room to transform in these areas. My goal with Jennifer is to increase connection, confidence, but most of all to have her reveal who she really is and trust herself so that she does not have to be in her head.

Tune in and find out what is at play for Jennifer and hear her transformation.

Welcome to the show!

Today I’ll be doing class Psychology of the Voice work with a delightful woman name Keatyn.  The struggle for her is in revealing her real voice, truly unleashing all the shades of who she is and showing up authentically and stepping into her true voice power.

I have stories that need to be unearthed, masks to be unmasked and only then can I unleash the power of her real, authentic voice.  Keatyn knows she has not unleashed her voice, and that is what she wants most of all, is to play bigger and she should.  There is room for increased confidence, connection and more shades of who she really is.

With Keaton, some of the classic things I hear in her voice are wanting to keep the peace, trying to get the words right, and even knowing that she won't be heard.

Keatyn has created voice habits around playing safe and for good reason.

My goal with her is to set her voice free, partially because she is delightful and not playing all the shades that reveal her true authenticity.

I want her listeners to experience, but even more so, the internal freedom she will get once her voice is unleashed.

Tune in to see this transformation unfold.

Welcome to the show!

Today I’ve got Kyleen with me and she is delightful.  One of the things that is holding her back from the next level is that she’s reading the room, thinking things through, dissecting the situation and then speaking, engaging.

The other main issue is that she’s an analytical thinker and is focused solely on the words.  It’s not a bad thing to be an analytical thinker but in Kyleen’s case, we are missing the best part of her.

Throughout our conversation I would get tiny glimmers of the passion and feeling she has about things and it was electric every time she gave me a glimmer.  Those were the moments I could connect with her, relate to her and understand who she really is.

The next level of success for Kyleen is in the reveal of who she really is, the feeling parts, the passion.

Tune in and let’s see what transformation is in store today for Kyleen.

Welcome to the show!

Today, I’ve got an absolutely lovely person with me.  Kelly has such a gentleness and a kindness around her, it’s magnetic. But here is the challenge for Kelly…She has to be careful about getting in her head, trying to get things right because when she does there is something that happens to her sound that is hurting her.  Kelly’s voice when she is in her head can become overly tentative and even be processed as borderline passive or indifferent and that is misrepresenting who she truly is.

What happens when she gets up in her head is her voice really falls flat and she loses all her passion from a sound perspective. She is more introspective. and more introverted and these are not bad qualities, but we have to be aware of how a more neutral sound is being processed. Passion, feeling, drive, are all critical to her next level of success.

In my time with Kelly, I’m going to get her out of her head and connected to her heart, because when I do that is going to be much easier for her to connect to passion and reveal feeling.  This is important so that her voice will have movement and reflect a sound that represents who she really is.  If you struggle with getting up in your head, being tentative, maybe even a peacekeeper this episode is for you!

Kelly is a peacekeeper and that can make her neutral sound even more prevalent. I want her to be heard, I know she wants to be heard.

Tune in and find out what else is in Kelly’s voice and hear what we can transform!

Welcome to the show.

I’ve got a wonderful guest on today and I another great transformation for you.  Today, Falguni is with me and I know many of you are going to really relate to in her assessment.  The main shift for Falguni that I plan to make is to get her fully owning her confidence.

Falguni is incredibly smart and great at what she does. Unfortunately, that isn’t being reflected in her voice, I plan to change that. In our time together today, I identify the reason why she's not sounding confident, why she's not speaking with authority, and the very things we need to do to shift that so she can make a bigger impact with her voice.

This is classic up in your head, trying to get it right, trying to control the outcome, not wanting to rock the boat which results in a sound that is tentative, unsure and not commanding. There are multiple factors at play here, including voice stories working from the wrong place, and voice mask.

Tune in and find out exactly what kind of authority and voice power I can find when I go to work on Falcon's voice.

Welcome to the show!

Today I’ve got Karyn with me and during our time together she makes some amazing realizations.

Karyn is great and has a number of wonderful qualities to her voice.  However, some of the things she is not maximizing include creating an invitation for us and allowing us the space to lean in.

In addition, she has a speed issue.  I’m not against fast but when fast is actually trying to get to the other side of something then it becomes an issue around connection.

There are still remnants of peacekeeping and people pleasing that if removed will take her to the next level of success.

Tune in and find out what kind of transformation is in store for Karyn.

Welcome to the show.

Today, I've got significant shifts happening for Neelam. You will meet her and notice right away that she is a strong, powerful force. Perhaps too powerful. What you'll discover is Neelam is caught up in perfection based on the work that she does. While perfection in the visual world she lives in and works in might be important, it's costing her vocally.

Neelam is getting proof that she's not sounding confident.  For a number of reasons she is not feeling confident and that is catapulting her to the place of the needing to prove mask. The needing to prove mask is a repellent. This mask is costing her connection with ideal clients who might want to hire her and I do plan to remove it.

Neelam is struggling because of sounds in her voice that are limiting her ability to speak with confidence, to easily connect with her listener and to captivate them with ease in revealing she is the one that can help them.

She is excellent at what she does. She's an expert. I plan to show her how to reflect that in her voice with ease. Tune in to hear the shifts for Neelam.

Welcome to the show!

Kylie is great. She's got a real likability factor about her and she's not maximizing it all the time. The greatest area where this likability must lead for her is in sales and that is where she is losing all of it!

In today's episode, we discover quite quickly that Kylie disappears when she goes to her webinar sales pitch the problem. She's doing a cookie cutter of what she is told to do.  The main thing that is hurting Kylie vocally and creating sounds that misrepresent her is that she is reading a script, thinking of the words and wondering what we are thinking.  It’s a cookie cutter plan that does not allow for her most authentic self to come through.

Kylie knows she's disconnected and that is the first problem. We cannot connect with her; therefore, we won't buy from her. Kylie completely loses her likability as she goes into sales mode. Disconnect and absolute lack, lack of a voice experience.

Not only can we not connect with her, but we also don’t know who she is so we miss out on all the great sounds that represent her and how truly knowledgeable and delightful she is. All these things are working against her when it comes to retention and revenue. All it will take is a few shifts to get her back on track and ready to fully maximize the power of her greatest asset.

Tune in to hear the transformation for Kylie.

Welcome to episode one of the Psychology of the Voice® Podcast.

Let's start at the beginning and talk about Psychology of the Voice®. I'll assure you; you've never thought about voice the way you're going to experience it in this podcast. Psychology of the Voice® is a concept that I have researched and created over the last 30 years, centered around our subconscious and its role in creating our own voice and how our voice is processed in the subconscious of our listen.

In this episode, I'm going to break down the concept for you in relation to what this show is about and what you can expect in the podcast. In the show, I’m assessing strangers voices. One of the things you’ll learn and benefit from is my ability to tell people how they're being processed in the subconscious of the listener.

In the show, I tell my guests how certain sounds are misrepresenting them in the subconscious of the listener and I reveal what sounds they are not revealing that actually represent authenticity. Both of these are critical to the next level of success whatever that is from confidence to increased retention and revenue.

Many entrepreneurs call me their secret weapon. The reason is because I can hear the sounds the way I do and quickly shift the sounds that are not working for them.

If you are a high achiever, want to take your business to the next level, if you want to increase your revenue, retention, connection, confidence, and be the standout authority, then you don't want to miss this episode, this concept, this show.

Let's dive in and find out what is in your Psychology of the Voice® and see how many of the transformations that take place in this podcast you can relate to with your own voice. This is way bigger than public speaking and presentation skills, it’s bigger than and crucial to effective communication…your voice holds your identity.
