Watch ladymwatsi as she proclaims the beauty of our heavenly Father. This is for my sister. Keletso Yende AKA Sister K.

I thank God everyday for guiding you into the light, I remember my plea with God that, if you can do this transformation for Sister K then all things are indeed possible with God.

When I reflect back, I realize that always, past, present, future I have always looked up to my sister, AKA Pastor Yende.

She has always lived up to her name. Keletso, meaning advice. I am grateful to have such a sister. A sister that has always shown me the light. I think back to a time when she first invited me to a cell group with intent. I remember asking her what is this cell group thing. All she said was "come and you will see." It took me nearly six months to accept the invitation, but in that cell group, that's where I felt most at home, and I never looked back. Thank you Muruti (Pastor). Thank you for showing me the light. I no longer have an excuse, I no longer can claim ignorance. All I can claim is redemption, grace, love, forgiveness, peace and pure joy.

To all the sisters out there: we love to hate, bitter sweetness, but when all is said and done, love conquers all. Thank you Sister K. For the better part of my life I wanted to be you, but now I use you as an example to follow. May you be richly blessed and abundantly be filled with your heart's desires.

Listen as ladymwatsi takes you on a bicycle ride through time. This song is not only melodious, but also symbolic of the feeling one gets while riding a bicycle.

I can personally attest to this as I have experienced similar encounters in my own personal love life. As I travel through time on my own bicycle, I trust that this song takes you to places that are unmentionable.

Thank you to the Hive Open Mic team for such a phenomenal theme. I hope you enjoy the song by The Fugees.

Killing me softly

Strumming my pain with his fingers

Singing my life with his words

Killing me softly with his song

Killing me softly with his song

Telling my whole life with his words

Killing me softly with his song

This is Wyclef, Refugee Camp (L-Boogie up in here)

Prasrel (Prasrel up in here, haha)

Lil' Base sittin' up here on the bass (Refugees up in here)

While I'm on this, I got my girl L (ah, ah)

One time (one time), one time (one time)

Ayo, L, you know you got the lyrics

I heard he sang a good song, I heard he had a style

And so I came to see him, and listen for a while

And there he was, this young boy, stranger to my eyes

Strumming my pain with his fingers (one time, one time)

Singing my life with his words (two times, two times)

Killing me softly with his song

Killing me softly with his song

Telling my whole life with his words

Killing me softly with his song

I felt all flushed with fever, embarrassed by the crowd

I felt he'd found my letters and read each one out loud

I prayed that he would finish, but he just kept right on

Strumming my pain with his fingers (one time, one time)

Singing my life with his words (two times, two times)

Killing me softly with his song

Killing me softly with his song

Telling my whole life with his words

Killing me softly with his song

Yo, L-Boog, take me to the bridge

Whoa

Woah-oah-ah-ah-ah uh, uh

La-la-la, la, la, la

Whoa, la

Whoa, la (ha, ha, ha, ha)

La-ah-ah-ah-ah

Strumming my pain with his fingers (yes, he was singing my life)

Singing my life with his words

Killing me softly with his song

Killing me softly with his song

Telling my whole life with his words (whole life, with his words)

Killing me softly with his song

Yo, put your hands together for L-Boogie (strumming my pain)

From the Refugee Camp (yeah, yeah)

(Singing my life) up in here, you know how we do, L-Boogie up in here

Wyclef, Prazwelll, said L-Boogie up in here

Wyclef up in here

My man Lil' Base (Prazwelll up in here)

Jerry one time

T Rocks up in here, we got Warren up in here

This is how we (Warren up, up in here, Outsiders up here)

We got Fallon up in here, Mulaney, Mulaney's up in here

(Refugee Camp, Refugee Camp, yeah)

Everybody got a breakin' point kid

And they'll rat on you

The family niggas will rat on you

That's why we gotta be prepared to take whoever out we need to

Hi there beautiful people of Hive.

First time posting on Hive open Mic.

The theme is so profound as it discribes how I feel when singing this song.

Thanks to *@imwatsi for adding color into my life and for being the biggest support in everything I do.

Life is so much more colorful with you in it!

This song is Lira's song, one of my favourite South African female artist.

I hope to hear your thoughts around this song. Enjoy it as it adds depth and color into your day too.

Lira - SOUL IN MIND

I am a child born of love

So let Love remain in my heart and my mind

Let love and joy... be my friend

Give me peace with no end

Let me live with no fear and no shame

Let me begin to see Love

Come alive in my life

Let me feel how it feels to be me

Doo doo-

A longing and pounding in my heart

Led me to want so much more out of life

Let me to forgive every hurt

To let go of the past

And allowed myself to heal every pain

Now I am free

Yes I hold my head up high

The burden on my shoulder is no longer with me

Now I can breathe

Yes I feel so much at ease

My soul is alright with me

**SOUL IN MIND

It's a prayer

For my soul in mind

Prayer soul in mind**

Let love and joy... be my friend, give me peace with no end

Let me live with no fear, I don t wanna fear

Let me begin to see love come alive in my life

Let me feel how it feels to have joy

Let me be free from disease

Let my heart feel at ease

Let me feel how it feels to be free

**SOUL IN MIND

It's a prayer

For my soul in mind

Prayer soul in mind**

If you ever had to say an earthly goodbye to a loved one or had to support anyone going through loss and fertility challenges, this poem will resonate with you.

Today I am sharing this poem, one of the very first poems Hubbylicious @imwatsi and I wrote together, in the hopes that it will restore hope, peace and healing.

I never saw your eyes (the poem) is based on the book: I never saw her eyes: Gaining from the pain of loss written by my beloved sister Keletso Yende.

Anyone who has suffered loss can gain from the insights about grief and healing found in this book. It also gives a fresh perspective on how discovering one’s true identity and purposeful living can enhance one’s quality of life.

I trust you will enjoy the poem- yes it is one of my favourites.

I never saw your eyes (poem) Foundations cracked

And I felt my world crumble from beneath

The stillness of silence spoke volumes

My path disappeared before my eyes

Past, present and future changed

I had no idea

Where to put my foot

I mourn...

I cry

I wrestled with the reality that you were no more

I wonder what your laugh would've sounded like

Giggles and sounds of pure joy

I never saw your eyes

Yet through your shut

I found my sight

The sight that opened my eyes to the endless possibilities of light

Aye the dualities of life...

We laugh and we cry

We live and we die

Smiles and frowns

Highs and lows

Ups and downs

We transcend

And grow from life's vicissitudes

As reality fuses and fusses with conceptions and misconceptions of loss

Attitudes create the ultimate latitude

I conceived much more than I had hoped

I never saw your eyes

Yet through your shut eyes

I found my voice

Life comes bearing lessons

Wrapped in pain

For without pain

Pleasure cannot be defined

I never saw your eyes

But that's just you signalling me to shut mine from pain

Yes I gained

Wisdom, courage, strength

The ability to pay forward the gain from my pain

All that from loss I gained

I mourned

I cried

I wrestled with the idea that you are no more

I now know more

More of you lives

More of me lives

I know more than I could see through the pain

I felt you

As you kicked

And grew within me

You felt me

As I cared for you

With all that was within

I find solace

In the moments we shared

Even though you didn't see me

From the outside

You felt my love, and saw me

From the inside

I never saw your eyes

But you opened my eyes

Unconditional, unbounded

Love that lives through generations to come

Oh yes my eyes are open

Pain is but a temporary thing

Open yours

Today........
