What's up family! We've finally reached a huge milestone - Episode 100 of The Chasing Freedom Show podcast!
To celebrate, I brought on a very special guest: Mark Evans. He's been my mentor and biggest role model when it comes to running a successful business.
Mark Evans DM is a 10X best-selling author, owner of multiple multi-million dollar businesses, real estate mogul, and angel investor to countless partners.
He’s involved in everything from real estate deals, restaurants, media companies, e-commerce stores, real estate developments, private lending, and everything in between.
Mark’s able to run multiple companies without ever going to an office due to his business philosophy which he talks about in his book: ‘Magician vs. Mule’
Mark is also a mentor to 1000’s of business owners around the world.
But it wasn’t always like this. Far from it.
Mark grew up in a trailer park outside of Columbus, Ohio with his parents and 2 sisters where money was a constant source of stress for his family.
He knew he wanted a better life and working a traditional 9-to-5 wasn’t going to cut.
… so he went the entrepreneurial route and never looked back.
At 18 he purchased his very first company (a gutter business) for $2,000.
By 30 he was flipping upwards of 60+ homes per month without ever stepping foot into a single property.
At 40 he has his hands in over 30+ businesses, multiple cashflow streams, and has created a name for himself in the business world as “The Deal Maker” (that’s what the DM in his name stands for) due to his ability to make it happen.
However, cliche it may sound Mark Evans DM “walks his talk.”
He’s traveled the world for 7 years straight, given away homes to the less fortunate, built an entire village in Haiti, and continues to give his time and fortune to those in need.
Mark has a business mind like no other and lives a lifestyle that most can only dream of … but his best quality is his character. He does what he says … and in a world full of posers and shysters … it’s refreshing to see a man keep his word and follow through. Mark is one of the good ones.

In recent years, my journey towards mindfulness has been nothing short of life-changing. I realized that I was constantly caught up in the chaos of daily life, my mind racing with worries about the future and regrets about the past. This led to a sense of emptiness and disconnection from the present moment.
Discovering mindfulness practices, such as meditation and mindful breathing, has allowed me to regain a sense of balance and presence. By learning to anchor my awareness in the here and now, I've found profound peace and contentment. This newfound clarity has enabled me to appreciate beauty in even the smallest moments—the sound of birdsong, the warmth of the sun on my skin, or the taste of a simple meal.
Mindfulness has also been my anchor during challenging times. It has taught me to observe my thoughts and emotions with compassion rather than get lost in them. This skill has not only reduced my stress levels but has also opened the door to a deeper understanding of myself.
Most importantly, mindfulness has transformed the way I relate to others. By truly listening and being present with friends and loved ones, I've cultivated deeper, more meaningful connections. It's as if every interaction has become an opportunity for growth and genuine connection.
Overall, my journey towards mindfulness has been a remarkable path to self-discovery and fulfillment. It has gifted me with a profound sense of gratitude, an ability to navigate life's ups and downs with grace, and a newfound richness in my relationships. Mindfulness isn't just a practice for me; it's become an integral part of who I am, and it continues to guide me towards a more fulfilled life every day.

Chasing Freedom started as a passion project, a labor of love born out of my own journey towards personal growth, self-discovery, and, of course, freedom. Over the years, I've come to realize that life's most profound moments often happen when we step outside our comfort zones and embrace change, even when it's scary. I've learned that chasing our dreams and pursuing our passions isn't just a lofty aspiration—it's a fundamental human need.
Through this podcast, I aim to inspire you to embark on your journey towards freedom, whatever that may mean for you. It could be financial independence, the pursuit of your dreams, breaking free from self-doubt, or even finding spiritual enlightenment. We all have our unique paths, but the common thread is the desire to live life on our terms.
But why does this matter so much to me? Well, let me share a bit of my story with you. I've been through my fair share of challenges, setbacks, and moments of uncertainty. There have been times when I felt trapped in the daily grind, when I questioned my choices, and when I yearned for something more meaningful. This innovative strategy involves acquiring properties while leaving the existing mortgage in place, effectively allowing investors to bypass the traditional loan process. It has gained significant popularity among seasoned investors and newcomers alike due to its numerous advantages and potential for high returns.
In a Sub2 transaction, an investor purchases a property by taking over the seller's existing mortgage, typically without the need for a new loan or credit check. The investor assumes responsibility for making the mortgage payments, while the seller transfers the property's ownership without paying off the mortgage balance. This arrangement allows the investor to acquire the property with minimal upfront costs and without the constraints of traditional financing options.
One of the primary benefits of Sub2 seller financing is the ability to invest in real estate without requiring a substantial amount of capital or qualifying for a mortgage.
