Did you know that studies have shown that those who make conscious choices to enjoy themselves and laugh throughout the day are more creative, productive and resilient to challenging situations? They are also more likely to easily find solutions to complex problems. In other words, focusing on your happiness makes you smarter. How smart are you?
The greatest benefit of genuinely enjoying the day is that you generate a massive amount of positive energy. It’s manifested in passion and enthusiasm, and both are very contagious. Put another way, enjoyment is the spark that ignites passion and enthusiasm.
It may not be easy at first, but as you condition yourself to prepare for the day ahead with gratitude, joyful statements, positive visualization and by focusing on what’s working, rather than fixating on what isn’t working, you will notice that stressful outside forces don’t bother you as much. Ultimately what you are doing is creating the ability to bounce back and that’s an all-important life skill.
It comes down to this: the unexpected is waiting for you. Countless outside factors can make or ruin your day, many of which are not in your direct control. So, it makes sense to seize control of what you can – no matter whether you’re in an up or down period, remind yourself that true happiness (and inner peace) is your number one priority. And focusing on what makes you grateful puts you on the path to that happiness and the ability to enjoy the day. And that is exactly why you have to make the shift to start your day in a good mood and maintain your feelings of appreciation throughout.
Even one situation a day in which you are able to invoke your grateful feelings and choose to be happy in the moment can have a tremendous impact on your life. I don’t mean to suggest that you become the Dalai Lama, but if you do, please smile and bless the rest of us.
One last point (I promise), is the necessity to take action with passion and enthusiasm, instead of just going through the motions.
So, always nurture your passion and enthusiasm. Allow yourself to get excited about it. Feel it, sense it, smile about it and embrace it! Talk to it! Visualize your goals and dreams with it!
When you fervently hold on to your vision with passion and enthusiasm you will access s higher guidance system, which will lead you to a pathway of new circumstances, opportunities and serendipitous events. Do whatever it takes to make sure that its flame is always burning. If you do, I promise that you will come to know what so many truly successful people have come to know: That passion and enthusiasm are forces that will take you to a better place in business and in life.
I’m repeating myself, I know, but I really want you to get this. (Plus, it’s my article and I’ll do what I want!) Enjoyment is the spark that ignites passion and enthusiasm. Remember that always.

Hey, I'm Talkin' Here, Steve Rizzo, Get Your Shift Together.
https://www.yourinnerbob.com
Steve shares his story about meeting with Christopher Reeve after his life changing accident.
Steve Rizzo is the Attitude Adjuster. You can’t attend one of his keynote speeches or seminars or read his books and leave with the same attitude. He’s a personal development expert, comedian, motivational speaker and best-selling author. His popular PBS special brought him into millions of homes. It’s no surprise that he’s been inducted into the Speaker Hall of Fame, an honor bestowed upon on fewer than 300 speakers worldwide since 1977.
Perhaps one of Steve’s greatest achievements was the stellar degree of success he achieved as a comedian, being chosen as a SHOWTIME Comedy All-Star.
What was next for this funny guy in the prime of his career? For Steve, it was to trade the standing ovations as a stand-up comedian for maximum fulfillment and, well, more standing ovations as a hall of fame speaker.
Don’t let the laughter fool you!
What Steve brings to the table is his ability to engage attendees with laughter as he challenges them to shift their way of thinking to discover greater enthusiasm, increased productivity and new levels of success. As one of Steve’s clients said, “Never has my group learned so much and laughed so hard in one sitting! Thanks for the ride!”
Don’t settle for anything less than Steve Rizzo’s approach. Because anything less…is just that.

Happiness isn’t one choice, like deciding which presidential candidate will make you less miserable or picking between the chicken and the prime rib. Instead, happiness is one long, continuous choice. If that notion seems too daunting, try thinking of it as a lifetime of small, moment-to-moment choices.
On any given day there are a number of reasons/excuses that I can use to justify being unhappy. It can be work related, family issues (if you knew my family you would definitely understand), time constraints or someone else’s bad mood. The key, however, is that I know I’m responsible for my own state of mind. I am totally aware of what happens to me when I begin to lose the thread of that control. Allowing these outside forces or circumstances to determine my happiness can quickly send me into a downward spiral.
The same goes for you. Whatever it is that has the potential to keep you from enjoying the day and the success you desire, understand that it’s not the situation itself that is causing you to be unhappy or to feel unsuccessful. It’s really the thoughts you have about the situation. It’s what you choose to focus on over a period of time that fuel your emotions and defines your reality.

Steve Rizzo's Hey, I'm Talkin' Here - Eddie Murphy: IF YOU BELIEVE IT, YOU CAN ACHIEVE IT
Host: Steve Rizzo. Co-Host: Eric Bam
I am amazed that some people have been given every advantage in life and still manage to sabotage their success and destroy their chances at happiness. Then there are those who seem to have every obstacle imaginable thrown in front of them and they move ahead, refusing to give up. They take these obstacles and somehow manage to make their lives work and even enjoy the process as they go.
It is my belief that those in the latter group, consciously or unconsciously, shift their thoughts to create an empowering belief system that will steer them to a successful outcome.
People who are successful tend to predominantly have thoughts of optimism for health, wealth and abundance. Whether they are conscious of it or not, they simply don’t allow negative thoughts of deficiency and failure to take root in their minds. That doesn’t mean they don’t have negative thoughts. We all do. It simply means that they’re the people who see the glass half full, whose view of life is generally positive.
It’s easy to determine whether the people you come into contact with are one or the other kind of person. Have you noticed that those who dwell on their ailments are always ill? Those who speak about prosperity are prosperous. Those who talk about how wonderful life is are happy, and people who constantly talk about their cats, well, that’s a different story. The point is that your thoughts cumulatively provide a general blueprint of directives for how you react to everything in your life.
Whatever you habitually think about or focus on the most will appear in your life. So whatever you do, don’t focus on getting hit by a train. That’s not going to end well.
Peace & Laughter,
Steve

A few years ago I spoke to a wonderful group of people at Northrop Grumman Corporation in Connecticut. On the way home the Limo driver asked me what I did for a living. I told him that I speak to groups all over the world on how to be happy & successful regardless of what their circumstances are. I knew I hit a soft spot because he let out a big laugh and said, “I always start my day in a good mood! Do you want to know the secret is?” Before I could answer he said, “Gratitude! I always start my day with an attitude of gratitude!”
Now I didn’t know this guy personally, but I could tell by that one statement that he embraced a most profound secret about happiness; GRATITUDE! It is essential that as soon as you open your eyes to start your day you put your attention on something or someone you are truly grateful for. And for those of you who are mumbling that you don’t have anything to be grateful for; WRONG!
I cannot stress this enough, but I’ll try. There is always, always & always something to be grateful for. Always! Sometimes you have to dig deep, but it’s worth digging for. When you discover it, feel it with your with everything you’ve got & then build from there. This is especially important at the beginning of your day. Feeling grateful & appreciative is the fastest way to turn your life around.
Gratitude is the most powerful connection you have to your higher self, God, the divine, Bob or whatever you want to call it. The point is you always want to keep your connection to this higher part of yourself. The stronger your connection, the better you feel. The better you feel the more creative and productive you are. The more creative & productive you are, the better you feel.
When you fully appreciate what you have in the moment, good things come into your life. Why? Because the gratitude bone is connected to the happiness bone, & it’s this fun little cycle that eventually acts as a magnet to attract the things you desire most, whatever they might be into your life.

FROM PLAN A TO PLAN Z: THE ART OF NEVER GIVING UP
You’ve tried Plan A, Plan B, Plan C—and it could be forever until you stumble across a plan that works for you. We all come close to giving up, willing to settle for less than we deserve because it seems to be the easy way out of a difficult position.
Giving up should never be an option—and we can help you with some tips to try to master the art of never giving up!
Seek Out Mentorship and Support
A little support from loved ones or the right guidance by a mentor-like figure can help you resist the nagging urge to give up on your goals.
If you’re facing a difficult time in your efforts to make something out of yourself, then someone you look up to who possesses the insight you need can help you get some much-needed perspective.
The Active Effort to Be Positive
It’s easy to be cynical, to give into negativity and give up. However, it takes a lot more courage and effort to be positive, but the payoff is well worth it all. Even when you are faced with struggle and are staring failure in the face, a positive mindset can help you fight off the urge to quit.
Finding Your Balance
Most individuals have both personal and professional life goals, which is why a balance needs to be established and maintained between both aspects of daily living. Whether you’re stressed by setbacks in your personal life or at work, if one seeps into the other, everything can fall apart in an instant. Naturally, giving up is not an option!
Alter Your Attitude Toward Failure
No one can be immune to the feelings that failure brings. It is an unpleasant mesh of frustration, shame, stress and hopelessness. When we fail or encounter a tough obstacle, we are the closest to giving up.
The way to power through these thoughts of quitting on your goals is to alter the way you perceive setbacks. Take them not as reflections of your capabilities, but as an opportunity to learn and grow—to improve your skills and move on to the next plan of action.

When I made the decision to make happiness my No. 1 priority every day, I became aware of a whole new world of possibilities. Healthier choices instantly presented themselves. I learned how to make myself feel better when times were tough, simply by shifting my thoughts and focusing on something that would lift my spirits. I began to create habits and develop mindsets that enabled me to live more in the moment and enjoy myself during the process. That doesn’t mean that I’m happy 24/7. I was well aware there would always be challenges.
Because let’s face it, there will always be unexpected challenges and problems to manage. Even the very fortunate among us experience setbacks and suffering of some kind at different stages in our lives. Challenges and stress are a part of life. As Frank Sinatra sang, “That’s life. That’s what all the people say. You’re ridin’ high in April, shot down in May.” (He also sang, “Doobie, doobie, doo,” but the relevance of that lyric totally escapes me.)
My point is that you can experience unease, sadness and pain at times and still be happy overall. Your overall happiness is determined by what you choose to focus on in the world from day to day. That’s the key.
For example, a sunny blue sky can have scattered clouds passing by. To some, it’s still an overall sunny blue sky. To others, it’s a sky marred by clouds. You need to ask yourself what you focus on most in your world. Do you focus on the sunny blue sky or do you give your attention to the clouds? I’m not asking you to think literally, as if you were a meteorologist (unless you are one of course), but as an individual with an overall worldview. Your honest answer will be in direct relation to the degree of your overall happiness. If you fit into the category of someone who focuses on the clouds, simply by shifting your focus to the bright blue sky, your degree of happiness is immediately elevated. That concept applies to everything in your life and is otherwise known as “seeing the glass half full.”
Being the astute observer that I am, I can pretty much tell a person’s degree of overall happiness on any given day just by asking a very simple question: “How are you doing today?” Their answers will vary greatly from a high degree of happiness to a very low degree of happiness.

Positive relationships in the workplace are based on trust.
A corporate environment that is conducive to trust-building offers safety for everyone. It should be known that managers and employees clearly have each other’s best interests in mind.
When workplaces encourage respect, trust and an innate understanding of each others’ roles in the organization, it results in faster decision-making, effective implementations, and enhanced productivity.
It becomes a lot easier for managers to provide feedback, and for employee to accept criticism and even anger at times, from their employers.
Motivational speaker and author, Steve Rizzo, often speaks on the motivational nature of incentives in the workplace. He suggests the following ways to build trust with employees.
Value Their Ideas!
When employees feel that their feelings and ideas are valued, they automatically open up to communication and influence from seniors. Hear them out; do it without inserting your opinions. Unfortunately, for many managers, it is a knee-jerk reaction to evaluate the viewpoint of the employee and then approve or disapprove what they’re saying. And the conversation isn’t even over yet!
Be Honest and Supportive
It can be difficult to tell the whole truth. However, if the facts can or will affect employee performance in the future, they deserve a heads up.
Remember, trust is a two-way street. If they realize your effort and are sensitive to their feelings, they will rally in support as well. Even when mistakes are made, understanding and trust goes a long way.
Build Accountability
When the corporate leaders and managers acknowledge their mistakes, while celebrating the successes, it sets up their credibility for employees. Managers must become the lead that employees would want to follow. Honest dialogue and accountability are leading factors in creating a culture of trust in an organization.
Encourage Self-Improvement
While there is no denying the importance of financial incentives, employees should also be provided with career building, personal and professional growth opportunities. When employees learn a new skill, they feel appreciated; the company benefits as well.
It is true that it can be difficult for new companies to support their employees financially. However, register the fact that training and development is part of organization’s responsibility. Give the staff time off if they ask for it. Accommodate their needs and they will return the favor by becoming more diligent with their work.

SHIFT YOUR FOCUS, CHANGE YOUR LIFE BY STEVE RIZZO
I am constantly amazed by the ways that people manage to deny themselves the chance at happiness in the moment. Instead, they fall prey to dangerous mindsets that decrease their potential for happiness. They put their happiness on hold when they repeat and internalize negative statements like, “When I finally buy a house, I’ll be less stressed and I can enjoy myself,” or “I’ll be happy when I’m able to retire,” or “I would be happy if I only made more money.”
Trust me when I say there are always more bills to pay and something expensive to repair around the house. Unexpected setbacks will occur and new work projects will quickly replace the ones that are currently stressing you out. Statements that focus on what you lack in the present, or predicate happiness on a future event, destroy your chance of enjoying the moment.
The good news is there are always fresh opportunities to be happy. Imagine life is like Grand Central Station where happy times arrive around the clock. The chances are the opportunity to be happy has already arrived. Sometimes it’s right in front of you. For whatever reason, you’re focusing on your lack or you’re fixated on what isn’t working in your life and you are unable to shift your focus to notice and appreciate it. Regardless of what is happening to you, or going on around you, you can feel happier, you can be productive, attract success, and enjoy yourself during the process. When you gradually shift your focus towards what you have and what you are grateful for, your perspective changes. In other words dear reader; when shift happens, your life changes. So get your shift together.

Steve Rizzo's Hey, I'm Talkin' Here - What is Your Greatest Fear?
https://www.yourinnerbob.com
Host: Steve Rizzo
Special Guest: Debbie Bettendorf
Director: Bruce Himmelblau
From asking your crush out on a date to skydiving, it is our fears that stop us from living fully. They are so powerful that they set us back each day.
We all want to conquer our fears to remove all the could-haves and should-haves from our stories. It is only through courageous living that we can do that.
Here are some ways you can handle fear more efficiently and live more courageously:
Choose to be Vulnerable
Brene Brown, author of the best-selling book Daring Greatly, has quite a lot to say about embracing our vulnerabilities. She argues that it is our belief in our unworthiness that prompts us to live fear-driven lives.
We are afraid to expose ourselves – to show others who we truly are. It is this fear of criticism and evaluation that is holding us back. In her book, she invites us to ‘dare greatly’!
Be Honest About Your Fears
It is difficult to deal with your fears if you are not honest about them in the first place. Research has shown that overcoming fears involves an accurate understanding of one’s own anxieties and limitations. Denial of fear will get you nowhere.
Expose Yourself to the Fearful Stimulus
One of the most effective ways of dealing with fears is to face them. Research has shown that repeated exposure to the fearful stimulus can tone down the fear response in the brain. Exposure therapy has become a common behavioral technique. It involves giving clients exposure to fearful stimulus in baby steps until it becomes more manageable. For instance, a person with fear of public speaking will be encouraged to first speak in small groups. Then, as the comfort levels increase, he or she tackles larger groups.
Find Ways to Manage Stress
Stress and fear are often connected with each other. In fact, feelings of stress are rooted in fear.
It is very important that you find a way to manage your stress levels more efficiently. Exercising and meditation are two incredible ways of doing that.
Rewire Your Brain
This might sound strange, but it is possible. Our brains are elastic – they have the ability to change and reorganize themselves with new connections. Rewiring of the brain will involve changing the belief systems.
Daily affirmations and mantras can prove to be very helpful. Also, reading books and attending motivational seminars can boost self-confidence and help in mitigating fears.
Steve Rizzo, a celebrity motivational speaker, helps people overcome fear. This entertaining motivational speaker employs the power of humor to make an impact. You can hire him for your next corporate event to help your employees better deal with their fears.

Is achieving the goal the most important attribute to success?
Unfortunately, our conventional definition of success is simply achieving the goal. Not enough emphasis is placed on the value of experiencing and enjoying the journey, building character, and learning life lessons along the way.
If you are not enjoying yourself on your journey towards your goal, you’re ripping yourself off.
The adventure towards any goal is what brings value to it. The path towards the goal is where your life unfolds and happiness is truly meaningful. When you are in the process of working to achieve something, you are experiencing who you are and what you’re made of. Your character is being tested and molded.

It was always the power of love that pulled us through, and it was the power of laughter that kept us from falling apart.
Once upon a time, Steve Rizzo was told by a guidance counselor that he didn’t have the intelligence for college. A few years later he was saddled with the dubious high school honor of being voted “Least Likely to Succeed.”
Steve went on to surprise everyone, including himself, by excelling with honors at the university and postgraduate levels. Eventually, Steve even taught English at his old high school and was a counselor for students with behavioral problems, proving once and for all that guidance counselors are not fortune-tellers.
Steve would go on to stellar success as a national headline comedian, and starred in his very own Showtime comedy special, earning him honors as a Showtime Comedy All-Star.
But the surprises didn’t stop there.
At the pinnacle his stand-up career, Steve walked away from comedy to pursue his true purpose and passion—to show people how to shift their focus and way of thinking, to discover more joy and enthusiasm, increased productivity and greater levels of success.

Whether you’re an entrepreneur, a high-ranking employee or a team manager, there’s nothing that will drive you toward success more than the power of motivation. It energizes people and enhances their productivity by allowing them control over factors that may impede their progress.
The type of motivation that each individual requires to work at an optimal level may vary. You might get motivated by watching your fellow workers getting their work done on time; whereas, another individual might be motivated to work better after they’ve had a refreshing break.

Humor doesn't necessarily mean laughter. It's something within you that just lifts your spirit, it makes you feel good, it puts a giant smile on your face. This story put a smile on my face for a long, long time. As a matter of fact as I think about it now, I still have the smile on my face. I was at the Dallas Fort Worth airport and this was during the Gulf War and we're ready to board at the gate and the flight attendant went up to these three marines that I was talking to and said guys "I'm really sorry but um I tried to get you an upgrade to first class but all the seats are taken." and they said "Oh ma'am thank you. We we didn't even expect that. But thank you for trying." So when I heard that, I was giving up my first class seat and I asked for two more volunteers. Two other people volunteered, a woman and a man. You should have seen the look on these three Marines faces when we gave them our first class seats. But better than everyone in the world should do that. But more important than that, this is what blew me away. You should have seen a look on our faces when we got off the plane and all three Marines were standing at attention saluting us. I mean that this made me feel and fantastic.

Steve Rizzo's Hey, I'm Talkin' Here - Happiness is Still a Choice - revisited
Host: Steve Rizzo - Co-Host: Eric Bam
https://www.yourinnerbob.com
Happiness is Still a choice. Starting your day with a positive attitude is a great way to set the tone for the rest of the day. When you wake up, take a few moments to reflect on the things that you are grateful for and set an intention to make the most out of the day. This can help you to approach challenges with a positive mindset and to find joy in the little moments throughout the day.
Social media can often be a source of negativity and stress, but it can also be a place to find inspiration and positivity. Take some time to curate your social media feeds and follow accounts that share uplifting and inspiring content. By surrounding yourself with positivity, you can help to shift your mindset and cultivate a more optimistic outlook on life.
One of the most powerful ways to find happiness is through helping others. Whether it is volunteering your time, donating to a cause you believe in, or simply offering a kind word to someone in need, acts of kindness can bring immense joy and fulfillment. By focusing on the needs of others, we can shift our focus away from our own problems and find greater purpose and meaning in our lives. Helping others can also help to strengthen our connections with those around us and build a more compassionate and supportive community.

Steve Rizzo's Hey, I'm Talkin' Here - Happiness is a Choice - revisited
Host: Steve Rizzo - Co-Host: Eric Bam
https://www.yourinnerbob.com
This topic was discussed in the second episode of Hey, I'm Talkin' Here. Now that "Conversations with Bob" has been released, Steve and Eric reference passages from the book as well as offering helpful advice.
Happiness is a choice. While it may seem like an elusive concept that is difficult to attain, it is important to understand that it is not something that can be bought or earned. Rather, happiness is a state of mind that can be achieved by making the right choices. One's outlook on life and the circumstances around them plays a major role in determining their level of happiness. When one focuses on the controllable aspects of their life and takes steps to make the most out of them, they can achieve a greater sense of satisfaction and contentment.
However, it is also important to recognize that not everything in life can be controlled. There will always be uncontrollable circumstances that come our way, such as illnesses, natural disasters, or unexpected setbacks. It is how we choose to respond to these situations that ultimately determine our level of happiness. By focusing on the things that we can control and learning to accept and adapt to the things we cannot, we can maintain a positive outlook and find happiness even in the midst of difficult times.
It is also worth noting that happiness is not always the end goal. Often, the pursuit of happiness can be a journey in itself. In our quest for happiness, we may discover new passions, meet new people, and learn more about ourselves. These experiences can bring us joy and fulfillment, even if they do not necessarily lead us to our ultimate goal. When we embrace the journey and find happiness in the little moments along the way, we can live a more meaningful and fulfilling life.
Happiness is a choice that we can make every day. It is about focusing on the things we can control, accepting the things we cannot, and finding joy in the journey. By making the right choices and cultivating a positive outlook, we can achieve a greater sense of happiness and fulfillment in our lives.

Steve Rizzo's Hey, I'm Talkin' Here - More Laws of Attraction
Host: Steve Rizzo
Co-Host: Eric Bam
https://www.yourinnerbob.com
There was so much good material from the show that we decided to create a part 2 of Law of Attraction.
The law of attraction is a concept that suggests that our thoughts and feelings have a significant impact on the experiences we attract into our lives. According to this law, positive thinking and visualization can lead to positive outcomes and success. This principle has gained a lot of popularity in recent years, with many people believing that by focusing on positive thoughts and feelings, they can create the life they desire.
The law of attraction operates on the principle that like attracts like. In other words, when we think positively, we attract positive experiences and people into our lives. This is because our thoughts and feelings emit energy that resonates with similar energies in the universe. Therefore, if we think positively, we are more likely to attract positive outcomes and people who share our positive outlook. This is why it's essential to focus on positive thoughts and feelings, as they can have a profound impact on the experiences we attract into our lives.
The law of attraction is a powerful principle that emphasizes the importance of maintaining a positive outlook in life. By focusing on positive thoughts and feelings, we can attract positive experiences and success into our lives. This principle is not only supported by anecdotal evidence but also by scientific research. Therefore, it's essential to cultivate a positive mindset and focus on positive outcomes, as this can lead to a more fulfilling and satisfying life.

Hey I’m Talkin' Here!, “The Law Of Attraction.” part 1 of 2
Hosts: Steve Rizzo & Eric Bam
The Bible says, “As a man thinketh so is he.” (Proverbs 23:7) Many people refer to this as the “Law of Attraction.” Some have come to know it as “The Secret.” I’m from New York and I prefer the straightforward, “What you think is what you get.” It doesn’t matter what you call it. All you need to know is that this spiritual law does not know good from bad, right from wrong or true from false. It does not judge and it doesn’t excuse negative thinking.
Early computer programmers came up with a nifty acronym to explain the occasional wrong results from time to time: G.I.G.O. Pronounced ghee-go, it stands for “Garbage In, Garbage Out,” and it refers to the fact that computers will unquestioningly process even the most nonsensical data inputted, inevitably spitting out erroneous information. The same is true of your thoughts. The results you receive are in direct accordance to what you’re thinking. Like I said, “What you think is what you get.” Get it? You need to understand that this powerful law will either make you or break you.
The great poet Milton said, “The mind is its own place, and it can make a heaven of hell or a hell of heaven.” What a powerful statement, and how true it is. The mind is its own place, but it’s important that you understand that your thoughts both emanate from your mind and influence future thoughts that it generates. Those very thoughts are the determining factors that make a “heaven of hell” or a “hell of heaven” in your life.
To sum it all up… It’s really not what happens to you that determines your quality of life, but rather, how you think about what happens that makes the difference. The good news is that you are the creator and director of your thoughts. With practice you can learn to methodically shift your way of thinking and choose thoughts that will create a healthier belief system, make you feel better, and give you an optimistic attitude. An optimistic attitude will enable you to enjoy the process of achieving your goals. When you are enjoying yourself during the process of achieving your goals you are connected to your Higher Self. When you are connected to your Higher Self you become more creative and productive and reap the benefits of success… and on and on this fun little cycle continues. What? You find all of this hard to believe? Well then, I suggest that you buy my book “Conversations with Bob" https://www.yourinnerbob.com

Choice! The key is choice. You have options. You need not spend your life wallowing in failure, ignorance, grief, poverty, shame, and self pity. But hold on! If this is true, then why have so many among us apparently elected to live in that manner?
The answer is obvious. Those who live in unhappy failure have never exercised their options for a better way of life because they have never been aware that they had any choices.
The above words are from The Choice, a book written by Og Mandino. Read it again my friend because it is a cornerstone for building a successful and happy life. You inability to use your power of choice can affect your entire life. Life is about choices. Every situation is a choice. You choose how to react to situations. You choose how people will affect your mood. You choose to be in a good mood or a bad mood. The bottom line: The choices you make determine how you live your life. Once you can say to yourself that you have a choice on how to deal with a problem or even a crisis, you are sending a message to that brain of yours, stating that you are in control of the situation, Instead of the situation controlling you. In other words you are not at the mercy of the situation.
You can choose to believe that you are helpless and at the mercy of life’s unpleasant twists of fate and misfortunes. You can choose to believe some people are lucky and some are destined to a life of misery and despair. If this is what you believe, then that will be your reality.
On the other hand, you could choose to believe you have a choice in your affairs, that you may not be able to control what happens to you, but you can always choose how you think about what happens, you can always choose the state of mind you need to be in regardless of what is happening around you or to you. The choice is yours my friend, it has always been. It always will be. It’s always just a matter of choice.

Everyone is experiencing the changes that are taking place. Yet I know for a fact that some will move forward with enthusiasm, positive energy, and enjoy themselves during the process. While others will merely go through the motions, complain along the way and have great difficulty making their lives work.
Your perception of yourself and this changing world around you are key factors to your success and happiness. If you think you are weak, inadequate or feel victimized then the energy you send out will mirror those thoughts. It will be difficult to succeed and be happy when harboring such thoughts.
If you believe you are powerful and view life as a never-ending learning experience filled with choices – you – will formulate within yourself a sense of hope. Then the energy you send out will mirror those thoughts, enabling you to lead a more fulfilling life. The choice is yours my friend. It always was and it always will be.

Peace & Laughter,
Steve
Steve Rizzo, Hey, I'm Talkin' Here - The Word Positivism
Being positive isn’t always about feeling good.
Host: Steve Rizzo
Co-Host: Eric Bam
Producer/Director: Bruce Himmelblau
Positivism defined
- the quality or state of being positive.
- a theory that theology and metaphysics are earlier imperfect modes of knowledge and that positive knowledge is based on natural phenomena and their properties and relations as verified by the empirical sciences.
- logical positivism.
Positivism can be applied to personal development. The philosophy emphasizes the importance of using empirical evidence and scientific observation to understand the world and ourselves. By applying this approach to our own lives, we can identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to achieve our goals.
Positivism emphasizes the importance of setting measurable and achievable goals, tracking progress using objective data, and using scientific methods to identify effective strategies for personal growth. By adopting a positivist approach to self-improvement, we can develop a clear understanding of our strengths and weaknesses, identify areas for growth, and develop strategies that are based on evidence rather than intuition or hearsay. Ultimately, the application of positivism to self-improvement can help us achieve our full potential and lead fulfilling, meaningful lives.

https://www.steverizzo.com Hey, I'm Talkin' Here, Steve Rizzo - Power Shift Your Focus
Nothing in life is permanent. Your success in life depends upon your ability to ride the waves of change. Do you know how to shift your focus and way of thinking to connect to a higher part of yourself?
Steve Rizzo & Eric Bam discuss how to Power Shift Your Focus

We have adopted the illusion that money, power, and fame can fill that self-created emptiness and make us feel complete. I am not suggesting that there is anything wrong with these things. It is the obsession with them that make them dangerous.
What am I getting at? I’ll tell you. Maybe it would be wise for us to come to the realization that what we think we want in life may not necessarily be what we need in order to lead a truly successful and happy life. Maybe, just maybe, we are leaving out important factors from the equation of what truly completes us as individuals. Maybe it’s just a matter of making a slight shift, finding your balance and choosing a better way. Maybe there are too many “maybes” in this paragraph.
Yes indeed, our lives depend on the choices we make, but I believe that we can at least minimize our regrets just by being more consciously aware of our choices. This is what the habit of shifting your focus in order to be happy moment-to-moment does for you. Before you know it, you’re actually happy. Then it becomes clear what you should focus on in the big picture.

Hey, I'm Talkin' Here, Success & the Journey Towards the Goal
Humor, Inspiration & Motivation - hosted by Steve Rizzo
A show about empowerment. This is a show that can, and if you pay attention, will take you to a better place, personally and professionally. No brag just fact. This show is brought to you by The Bob Project and Conversations with Bob.
Here’s something to consider. Let’s say your goal is to become a Vice President of a big company. After many years of intense stress, worry and an avalanche of emotional, mental and physical overload, you finally achieve your goal, along with all the wealth and prestige that comes with it. Is this success?
If you consult a dictionary, the answer would be yes. Webster’s Dictionary defines successes as follows. 1. The favorable or prosperous termination of attempts or endeavors. 2. The attainment of wealth, position, honors, or the like. I think it’s amazing that the words “happy” or “happiness “or “joy” are not included in the definition of the word “success.”
Unfortunately, our conventional definition of success is simply achieving the goal. Not enough emphasis is placed on the value of experiencing and enjoying the journey, building character, and learning life lessons along the way.

Steve Rizzo's Hey, I'm Talkin' Here! Hosted by Steve Rizzo - Happiness is a Choice.
produced & edited by Bruce Himmelblau. -
This podcast with a unique blend of humor and inspiration.
