Heartache, Health & Healing is the podcast for those that are ready to move forward from heartache into healing in a healthy way. I'll be sharing with you things that I've learned on my continuous journey. Sharing stories of heartache and how or if it affected my health and well being and steps I took in the healing process. I'm here to inspire and motivate others to learn how to live after loss.
On today's podcast episode, I’m joined by Edit B Kiss — a holistic mentor, success habit coach, and international speaker who helps people release emotional pain, raise their frequency, and reconnect with their true selves.
Edit spent 15 years as a petroleum engineer before stepping fully into the world of healing and personal growth. Since then, she’s worked with people around the world, blending ancient wisdom and neuroscience to help them find peace, purpose, and joy — without spending years stuck in the past.
We’ll talk about how she made this massive life shift, how she helps others step into their own healing, and why she believes joy and fulfillment are possible for all of us — no matter where we’ve been.
Grab your favorite beverage, get comfy, and listen in our incredible conversation.

My guest on today's podcast is Thomas LaGrave — he’s a licensed clinical social worker, a bestselling author, and the founder of Honor Bound Academy, which is a year-long program in California that supports teen boys as they work through some of life’s toughest stuff.
Thomas has spent over 35 years working with thousands of young men, helping them navigate the ups and downs of growing up — especially when life hasn’t been easy. His work is grounded in his own story — including his time in the Navy, his journey through recovery, and his commitment to meeting people where they are.
We’ll be diving into the heart behind his latest book, Special Welfare. Social Warfare, and the lessons he’s learned from walking with thousands of young men through some pretty tough terrain.

Today’s guest is someone who is leading the charge when it comes to accessible, holistic healthcare — and doing it in a way that’s grounded in compassion and purpose.
Aspen Noonan is the CEO of Elevate Holistics, a telehealth platform that specializes in medical marijuana recommendations and certifications. She stepped into the CEO role in June of 2024, but her impact on the company started long before that. As Director of Operations, Aspen was instrumental in shaping the daily workings of the business and guiding it through major growth.
Now, with Elevate Holistics expanding into 18 states and aiming to help one million people gain legal access to medical cannabis, Aspen’s leadership is rooted in both a deep understanding of the cannabis industry and a sincere commitment to patient care and holistic health.
I’m really excited to dive into Aspen’s journey — how she stepped into this leadership role, what she’s learned along the way, and what continues to drive her forward in this space.
Whether you’re curious about the evolving world of cannabis or simply love hearing stories of mission-driven leadership, grab your favorite beverage, get comfy because you’re going to enjoy this one.

On today’s episode, I’m joined by Sharon Samjitsingh — a woman who brings together personal experience, innovation, and leadership in a really powerful way. She’s the CEO and Co-Founder of Health Care Originals, a company that’s using AI-powered wearable technology to improve how people manage chronic respiratory conditions like asthma and COPD.
Sharon has spent over 25 years leading innovation across industries, but what stands out most is how she’s taken something deeply personal — her own journey with asthma — and turned it into a mission to improve the lives of others.
She’s a thought leader, a trailblazer in digital health, and someone who’s using her voice and vision to help reshape the future of care.

Today’s episode is a powerful reminder of how our greatest challenges can sometimes lead us to our greatest purpose.
My guest today is Deborah Weed — a creative force, visionary storyteller, and the founder of the Self-worth Initiative. Deborah has worn many hats in her life — from high-level corporate executive to creator of interactive musicals and children’s books — but her journey hasn’t always been center stage and spotlight.
After a misdiagnosis left her bedridden for years, Deborah’s world turned upside down. But in the midst of that darkness, she found an unlikely source of inspiration — a rare copper penny. That tiny, "worthless" coin became a symbol of hope and value, sparking a creative comeback that has inspired thousands.
Through stories, music, and her newest work, Paisley the Musical, Deborah is helping both children and adults rediscover their self-worth — especially in the moments we feel forgotten or broken.
Get ready for a conversation full of heart, resilience, and the magic that happens when you turn your mess into your mission.

In this episode, I’m joined by Julian Bermudez—a therapist, guide, and space holder for deep healing. Julian supports people through trauma, identity work, and the integration of psychedelic experiences, helping them reconnect with their innate sense of wholeness.
Rather than relying on diagnoses or step-by-step protocols, Julian’s work is rooted in presence, somatic awareness, and deep listening. His approach bridges modern therapeutic insight with timeless human wisdom, allowing clients to soften survival patterns and return to a more grounded, connected way of being.
We explore what it means to come home to yourself, and how healing isn’t about becoming someone new—but remembering who you’ve always been.
Whether you’re on your own healing path or simply curious about a different way of approaching personal growth, this episode offers insight, reflection, and hope.

She's a connector, an influencer, and someone who has always been passionate about helping women grow in both confidence and financial independence. Her mission is simple but powerful: to help women be well, do well, and share well--so we can all live with more abundance, generosity, and purpose.

On today's episode, my guest is someone who wears many hats—life coach, pastor, veteran, speaker—but more than that, he’s a true catalyst for change. Richard Waldman is joining me for a conversation that blends science, spirituality, and the power of mindset in a way that’s both eye-opening and deeply inspiring.
Originally from Southern California, Richard has walked a fascinating path—from earning his degree in Accounting to leading workshops in leadership and personal development, to now diving deep into the complexities of the human mind and the way we think. And let me tell you, his passion for helping others break through mental chaos and discover clarity is absolutely contagious.
In his latest book, Your Guide to A Better Way of THINKING, Richard tackles some of the big questions: Why are we so smart, yet sometimes so self-destructive? How do we truly get out of our own way? And how can shifting our thinking actually shift our lives?
He’s the founder of the Brainyites community and the heart behind “A Better Way of THINKING,” where he offers tools and support to help people reclaim their peace and potential—because let’s face it, we all get tangled in our thoughts sometimes.
So grab your favorite beverage, get comfy, and get ready for a conversation that just might spark something in you.

Today I'm excited to have Gavie Remaly back on my podcast.
For those of you who don't know, Gavie and I met through the Powerhouse Women community. She's also the host of the Blissfully Bold Podcast. Since then, I've had the honor of being a guest on her show, and now we're flipping the script once again!
Today, we're talking about how our boundaries shift as we grow, and the different ways we can recognize where we might still be holding ourselves back.
Gavie has been using a mix of ChatGPT and Tarot to gain insight into her own patterns, and we'll dive into how those tools have helped her along the way.

I'm so excited for today's episode because we're diving into a powerful story of resilience, transformation, and self-discovery with my guest Cam Kashani.
Some of the most powerful transformations happen when we're willing to face our deepest struggles head-on. Cam knows this journey intimately.
Once known as the 'Godmother of Silicon Beach,' she built businesses, coached thousands, and made a name for herself in the entrepreneurial world. But beyond the success was a story of self-doubt, resilience, and ultimately, self-discovery.
Today, Cam is a Divine Feminine Leadership Coach, speaker, and advocate for women's empowerment -- helping others step into their authentic power and embrace their worth.
Her journey is one of breaking free from limitations, rewriting old narratives, and finding strength in the most unexpected places.

Today's guest is Jon Gluck--a writer and editor whos work has appeared in The New York Times, The Washington Post, Vogue, and New York Magazine, where he spent ten years as deputy editor.
He's won several National Magazine Awards, but his latest work might be his most personal yet.
In his memoir, An Exercise in Uncertainty, Jon shares what it's been like to live with an incurable cancer for over 20 years. At just 38 years old, with a young child and a growing career, he was told he had 18 months to live. That was decades ago.
In our conversation, we talk about what it's like to live in that in-between space -- not fully sick, not fully well--and how he's learned to deal with the fear, the unknowns, and the day to day reality of living wit something that doesn't go away.
He also shares what fly-fishing has taught him about slowing down and finding peace, even when life feels uncertain.
Jon doesn't sugarcoat the hard stuff -- but he does offer a lot of hope, wisdom, and honest insight into what it means to truly live, even when nothing feels certain.

Today is a special episode unlike any other that I've done.
This week I'm participating in a Podcasthon raising awareness to a cause that hits close to home - pancreatic cancer.
This episode is dedicated to raising awareness about pancreatic cancer and the incredible work of the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, or PanCAN.
PanCAN is a national organization focused on fighting pancreatic cancer through research, patient services, community outreach, and advocacy. Their mission is to improve outcomes for those affected by this devastating disease.
In this episode, I'm joined by two amazing guests who bring both personal and professional perspectives to this conversation.
First, we have Katie, a dedicated PanCAN volunteer who tragically lost her mom to pancreatic cancer last year. Katie works in the research field, and her passion to advancing pancreatic cancer treatment and support is truly inspiring.
Our second guest is Linda, a courageous pancreatic cancer survivor who received life-changing treatment through PanCAN-recommended clinical trial. Linda's story is a powerful testament to the impact of research, partnerships, and hope.
Together, we'll discuss their personal journeys, the importance of PanCAN's work, and how we can all get involved to make a difference in the fight against pancreatic cancer.
Grab your favorite beverage, get comfy and listen in and please share this episode to help raise awareness.

Have you ever wondered if there’s more to life than what meets the eye?
Today’s guest, Daniel Jackson, has a story unlike any other. From a young age, Daniel experienced things most of us only hear about in ghost stories—experiences that followed him throughout his life. But instead of living in fear, he uncovered a deeper meaning and embraced his unique gifts as a medium.
Daniel shares how he communicates with Archangels and spirits to guide others on their spiritual journey, helping them find clarity, peace, and purpose.
His mission is rooted in love and compassion, teaching people the reason behind their existence and how to become the best version of themselves.
During our conversation, things took an unexpected turn as we talked about my own loss and explored my past lives. It brought clarity to feelings I’ve carried with me for as long as I can remember. There was even an emotional moment that offered me a sense of peace and comfort I didn’t realize I needed.
Grab your favorite beverage and get comfy. I can wait for you to hear this inspiring conversation about life, purpose, and the power of spirit.

Have you ever felt like forgiveness is easier said than done? Same. But what if there was a framework to make it less about “letting go” and more about practical steps?
Dr. Christopher Cortman returns to the podcast to break down his clever, life-changing FORGIVE framework—yes, it’s an acronym, and yes, it’s brilliant.
In this episode, he spills the secrets behind each letter (spoiler: they’re more profound than “just move on”) and shares how forgiveness isn’t about excusing bad behavior but freeing yourself. Expect insights, a few laughs, and maybe a little soul-searching. If you’ve ever struggled with forgiving someone—or yourself—this conversation is for you.
Perfect for anyone looking to leave grudges behind and create space for peace, growth, and maybe even a little more joy.

My guest today is Jillian Murphy, a sales and profit strategist who spent over 25 years in the corporate world.
Like so many, she lost her career during the pandemic, and while it was a tough blow, she knew she had a natural gift for sales.
Stepping into the online space, her business took off. But just as things were thriving, Jillian faced significant health challenges. Being a solopreneur and the sole provider for herself only added to the pressure. Once again, she leaned into her faith to get through it.
Now, you might be wondering how a sales and profit strategist connects with the theme of this podcast. Well, Jillian celebrated her birthday last month, and she'll be the first to tell you that the last year has been one for the books - full of heartache and healing.
Even though she's ready to move forward, she's joining me today to share the ups and downs of the past year and how she navigated the twists and turns along the way.
Grab your favorite beverage, get cozy, and let's go for a ride.

I connected with my guest today, Tina Murphy, through a gal that I had met while standing in a line at the Powerhouse Women Even and when I shared a bit about myself, she immediately said "I know someone you need to connect with." I'm so glad she passed my contact info along to her.
In 2013, Tina’s husband Jamie, suddenly passed away, leaving her to raise her 2 young boys. The loss of her husband led her to turn to online shopping as a reprieve from the intense pain.
Tina’s healing process began to flourish when she learned how to actually process her pain. As she made peace with her grieving process, Tina was able to take control of her spending. She began using her money to buy items that brought her joy while also being mindful of her financial future.
Tina then made it her mission to support other widows going through the same healing process. With 25+ years of personal finance teaching experience, she created her Next Level Widow Coaching program where she guides widows in creating a spending plan so they can enjoy life today while being relaxed about their financial future.

I had the honor of meeting today's guest, Jessica Brubaker, at the Powerhouse Women Event.
After I saved my seat, I was about to walk around and network when I noticed her sitting quietly at the end of the row. I remembered Lindsey Schwartz's advice to reach out if we saw someone alone, so despite it being outside my comfort zone, I introduced myself. I'm so glad I did.
After 12 years in public education, she made a bold leap into the world of mental health and unexpectedly found herself in entrepreneurship. She is truly obsessed with personal development.

In today’s episode, I’m taking you behind the scenes of my first experience at the Powerhouse Women Event last weekend in Scottsdale, Arizona. It was a whirlwind of emotions—excitement, discomfort, and everything in between. The energy was palpable, and the entire weekend was nothing short of incredible. I'm already planning my return for next year!
I’ll walk you through the two-day event and share some of the powerful takeaways from the speakers.
One of the highlights was finally meeting a group of amazing women I've been connecting with online since the beginning of the year. Meeting them in person was truly awesome!
While I initially felt a bit out of place, being one of the older attendees, that feeling quickly faded. Not once did anyone make me feel like I didn’t belong. The sense of community was real, and that’s a testament to Lindsey Schwartz, the founder of Powerhouse Women. She’s created a space where everyone feels like they belong, and for that, I’m incredibly grateful. She reminded us that the feelings we experience, we're not alone in them.
It was inspiring to be surrounded by so many incredible women, each on their unique journey.
So grab your favorite beverage, get cozy, and join me as I share this unforgettable experience with you!
In today’s episode, I dive into what it means to live a radiant life. I share an intriguing question I ask all my podcast guests: "If someone came up to you in a park and asked for one tip to start living a radiant life, what would you tell them?" The diverse and insightful answers from my guests have been enlightening, and I highlight one of those responses in this episode.
We explore the importance of doing the inner work necessary for emotional healing and how many of us tend to stuff down our feelings. I emphasize the need to feel to heal and the significance of dealing with our emotions to live our best radiant lives. It’s okay to not be okay, to cry, to scream, and to communicate your feelings in a healthy manner.
I also discuss my upcoming 12-week course, Radiant Living Roadmap, where each week we’ll tackle a specific topic and engage in a breathwork journey tailored to that theme. This program is designed to guide you on your path to emotional healing and a radiant life.
Grab your favorite beverage, get cozy, and tune in to hear more about these powerful insights and how you can start your journey toward radiant living today!

The topic of mental health and suicide. I did some research online and share some statistics that I found. Have you ever thought about how our past experiences can affect us on a deeper level? It's fascinating how generational trauma can shape our lives and even influence our behaviors and beliefs. It's like carrying the weight of our ancestors' pain without even realizing it.
The effects of generational trauma can be subtle yet profound. It's like an invisible hand guiding our lives, sometimes in ways we can't fully comprehend. And breaking free from those patterns can be a challenging journey. But it's crucial to understand and acknowledge that the struggles we face might have roots in the past.
By shining a light on generational trauma, we gain a deeper understanding of ourselves and the narratives that have shaped our lives. It's an opportunity to heal, grow, and create a better future for ourselves and the generations to come. It's about breaking the cycle and fostering resilience, both individually and collectively. It's a powerful journey of self-discovery and reclaiming our agency. It's time to unburden ourselves from the weight of the past and embrace a path of healing and empowerment. It's time to heal and create a brighter future for ourselves and those who come after us.
Our mindset shapes the way we find meaning and make sense of our grief experiences. A growth-oriented mindset can foster post-traumatic growth, the positive psychological changes that can occur following adversity. It allows us to seek opportunities for personal growth, reevaluate our values and priorities, and find purpose or a sense of meaning amidst our grief.
In today's episode I share my thoughts on the topic personal growth and a shift in our mindset while grieving. I hope you enjoy. Please share with anyone you feel needs to hear this.
Our bodies are under constant changes, leading to a wide range of emotions. Grieving over these transformations is a personal and natural process.
Think of our body’s journey as a change in seasons. Like nature, our bodies experience cycles of growth, flourishing, fading, and renewal. Each season possesses its own unique beauty and purpose. By acknowledging the emotions tied to each stage, we can mourn the passing of what was familiar while embracing the promise of new beginnings.
Grieving over changes in our bodies is an intimate and personal journey. Through creative metaphors, like the change in seasons, we can explore and navigate our emotions, finding comfort and beauty within the transformation process. Remember that self-acceptance and self-compassion are essential companions on this path.
By embracing the ever-changing seasons of our bodies, we unlock the potential for growth, transformation, and a deeper connection with ourselves.
In today’s podcast I share some of challenges I’ve had and are going through with my body. Know that what you’re not alone in what you may be feeling.
It's been 19 months since my husband passed and I thought I was on the path to healing. I find myself questioning why, even when the pain seemed to be fading. In this podcast, I'll share the unexpected feelings that hit me and having the resilience, vulnerability, and the power of acknowledging and embracing these emotions.
Have you ever stood on the shore and watched as the waves in the ocean rolled in and out, creating a mesmerizing rhythm and flow? Just like the ocean waves, our breath has a natural rhythm and flow that can be both powerful and calming. When we practice breathwork, we tap into this innate rhythm and learn to harness the power of our breath to improve our physical and mental well-being.
Breathwork can be like riding the waves of the ocean, navigating the twists and turns of our breath and using different techniques to create different effects. With each inhale and exhale, we ride the wave of our breath, harnessing its energy and using it to our advantage.
By slowing down and deepening our breath, we can create a sense of relaxation and calm, like a gentle lapping wave on the shore. Or, by taking rapid, energizing breaths, we can create a surge of energy and vitality, like the powerful crashing waves of a stormy sea.
As we explore the depths of our breath, we discover new ways to harness its power and use it to transform our inner landscape. And just like a surfer who learns to read the waves and ride them with skill and grace, we too can become masters of our own breath, using it to navigate the ups and downs of life and achieve greater well-being and vitality.
If want to learn more about Transformational Breathwork or are ready to jump in and experience your first Breathwork Journey, please send me a message so we can talk more. Hope you enjoy this episode.

So, while rebuilding after loss may not be easy, it is an essential part of our journey and a chance for us to emerge stronger, more resilient, and more fulfilled than ever before. Grieving is a natural and necessary process that helps us come to terms with loss and move forward with our lives. However, sometimes our grief can become stuck or incomplete, leaving us feeling overwhelmed, numb, or unable to move on. Incomplete grief can be difficult to recognize, but it can have a profound impact on our mental health and well-being. In this podcast, we will explore some of the signs that your grieving may be incomplete and what you can do to find support and healing. Whether you are struggling with the loss of a loved one, a relationship, or a significant life change, understanding the signs of incomplete grief can help you identify when you may need additional support to process your emotions and move forward. If you have a topic you'd like me to talk about or you want to be a guest on my podcast, you can find me on Instagram @brendmundt or Facebook Brenda Mundt.
When we experience emotional pain or trauma, it can feel like our world has come crashing down. We may struggle to move on or feel like we'll never be able to heal from the hurt we've experienced. In these moments, the idea that time heals all wounds can be comforting. But is it really that simple?
The truth is, time alone is not enough to heal all wounds. While it's true that time can help us gain perspective and distance from painful experiences, it's not a cure-all. We still have to actively work through our emotions and do the hard work of healing.
In fact, some wounds may never fully heal. We may carry the scars of past trauma with us for the rest of our lives. But that doesn't mean we can't find ways to live fulfilling and happy lives despite these scars.
So, what does it take to heal from emotional pain? It takes time, but it also takes intentionality. It takes acknowledging our pain and working through it in healthy ways. It takes seeking support from loved ones, therapists, or other professionals. It takes being patient and compassionate with ourselves as we navigate the healing process.
Ultimately, healing is a journey, not a destination. There may be setbacks and obstacles along the way, but if we're willing to do the work, we can emerge on the other side stronger, wiser, and more resilient.
While time can be a helpful tool in the healing process, it's not a guarantee that all wounds will be healed. Healing requires intentionality, effort, and support. So, let's not rely on the idea that time heals all wounds. Instead, let's focus on actively working through our pain and finding the support we need to thrive.
