This story tries to depict how, our surroundings have the power to shape our thoughts and actions, but it is important to remember that we have the power to shape our surroundings as well. When surrounded by poverty, we can choose to focus on opportunities for growth and change. When surrounded by hate, we can choose to focus on love and compassion. When surrounded by failure, we can choose to focus on learning and resilience. By choosing to focus on the positive, we can break free from the negative thought patterns and become self-determining individuals, reflective and self-aware, with the ability to create our own reality and shape our own destinies.
