This episode was recorded in my favorite spot in the whole world (outside my home), a little river in a nearby woodland. You'll hear the stream, the spring bird song and my waffle about finding acceptance when the forward movement we want just isn't possible right now.

//If you enjoy listening and would like some support for your practice please consider joining my Patreon. In the Practice // Space community you’ll get access to recorded workshops, ritual guides, journaling prompts and movement & creative practices to explore in your own time. In this episode I am talking about my first experiences with movement, how they impacted my self-image and how I've reframed a lot of that through accessible, fluid and creative practices as an adult. Being with these thoughts as helped me see movement not as a punishment, but as something I am excited to have in my day to day life.

I also mentioned my new Practice // Space for Patreons and invited you to join if you like: https://www.yarrowmagdalena.com/practice/

Thank you as ever for listening!

For valentine's day I wanted to record a soothing, honey-like practice of circular movement and self-massage to help us think about what it means to be in a body and accept the love that's already there, right now, instead of feeling like we have to buy stuff or change our bodies. Enjoy <3

In this episode I am offering a short audio practice to explore what it feels like to stand tall, feel aligned & express boundaries with confidence. Working from the ground up towards your head I hope this will help you feel clear and spacious <3

Enjoy!

Want to start your day with a delicious stretch, a wriggle and a deep breath?

I recorded this soft practice as a gentle way to start the day.

I know, I know... you can't see me demonstrate this, but what if this is a good thing? I am excited to offer audio based movement practices that help us LISTEN to our bodies instead of thinking about what it looks like.

Please join me <3

In this episode I am sharing my thoughts on motivation and goals when it comes to movement. Wanting progress makes total sense, but how do we stretch ourselves without getting swept up in diet culture?

And how do we trust our feelings of joy and freedom in movement instead of relying on fitness influencers to tell us what things should look like?

I want to have better conversations with my body. I want to move because I know it makes me feel good. I want to be the kind of person who gets out of bed with a joyful wriggle!

It's such an exciting honour to introduce you to my new podcast Finding Movement.

My name is Yarrow Magdalena, you might know me from my other two shows Creative Ritual and Embodied Business. This is a new project for me, one that I hope will open up new questions, ideas and practices for you and for me.

Two years ago an accident radically changed my relationship to movement. If I'm honest, I have never been someone who enjoys workouts all that much or someone who feels naturally drawn to fitness. But not being able to walk for a while gave me a whole new appreciation of what my body can do when I care for it and meet its abilities with acceptance and love.

Finding Movement is about exploring my own version of rehabilitation, movement for the sake of joy and better mental health, true acceptance and weight neutrality.

Thank you so much for joining me.
