In this episode we will explore:
There’s a reason why we want certain things over others. Our wants point us towards what we’re meant for. Versus our “shoulds” which tell us what others want for us or ways in which we’re supposed to live our lives. As 1st and 2nd gen immigrants, our ancestors didn’t get to honor their wants. They spent their energy surviving. They didn’t have the freedom to just do what they wanted and design their lives in a certain way. But we get to. We’re meant to.
If you want to start building a life for yourself that honors your wants vs shoulds, this episode is for you.

In this deeply personal episode, I’m sharing my journey of learning to love myself—an ongoing process filled with challenges, fear, and ultimately, empowerment. Growing up as a second-gen immigrant, I struggled with self-esteem, always trying to fit in and please others. It wasn’t until I started making choices for me—like quitting my corporate job and traveling the world—that I began to truly love who I am.

There are a lot of instances where we sacrifice our well-being for other people to feel better. You can lump people-pleasing into this as well. So if it doesn’t feel good, why the hell do we do it? It’s usually because we're taught that we ARE responsible for other’s feelings when we were growing up. And because we're also conditioned to not upset other people, it just encourages us to behave in a way that we think will keep the peace as much as possible.
In today’s episode, we will explore.
If you’re ready to release responsibility for others' feelings so that you can make choices that serve you, I would love to work with you.

For me, taking up space is not downplaying yourself, not hiding anymore, and not shrinking, not making yourself smaller in order to make other people comfortable. In this episode, you will unlearn things that stop us from showing up in the ways that we want to, or in ways that highlight our strength, gifts.

We've all been trained to seek degrees, certificates, and pieces of paper from institutions that proclaim, "I'm legit!”. But is that where our credibility stems from? In this episode, you'll hear about my journey from checking all the "degree" boxes to intentionally NOT getting certifications, as well as why it's necessary for us to understand why we pursue these degrees and how to and how to create our own credibility.

As 1st and 2nd gen immigrants, we are taught to be self-sufficient and figure things out on our own. It can feel like asking for help is seen as a sign of weakness or failure. But, fam, we weren’t meant to go through life on our own.
If it’s difficult for you to ask for and receive help, this episode is for you.
