Have you ever been in a state of seeking? Not knowing exactly what it is you desire, but you feel like something is missing? Trying various external things may seem fun and satisfactory for a while but over time you still feel like you are hungry for something. This can happen even when as a child you learned the way, the truth, and the life you were supposed to follow.

In this episode, we meet the beautiful heart of a woman who knew how to do better but was simply choosing to do it her way. However, nothing was quenching her thirst. Well aware of the power of the Word of God and fed up, one day she decided to just go!

To seek God and find Him is one of the most powerful things we will ever experience. Especially once you realize He was never that far off from you. Pain is an experience that every human will have in our life. None of us are absolved of that. Another truth is that we don't always feel like we can bear what we are going through, because we can't see any light in front of us. Not even a flicker, to bring us a little hope. BUT GOD!

Recently, I had a heartfelt conversation with a woman who has been dear to my family for many years. During our talk, she shared with me the challenges and pain she has faced, as well as the ways in which she found strength and healing through her faith. We discussed how life can present unexpected challenges despite being raised with a strong sense of purpose, and how these experiences can lead to profound and life-changing pain. She has overcome various hardships including illness, addiction, and emotional ups and downs, demonstrating resilience and healing.

May you be inspired to understand the power of God's Word. Sometimes, it asks you simply to be still, listen, and be obedient.

I am talking to my dear friend about her journey as an Iranian muslim refugee in the 1980's. A powerful conversation as this precious heart shares stories about what her 7 year old self experienced as she and her family fled her home country in search of peaceful acceptance and a fresh start during a time of war. The love she still holds in her heart for humanity, even though she has experienced the worst of hateful, heinous acts is pure gold.

May you be enlightened to love beyond the confines of your limited experiences. When Jesus said love your neighbor as yourself He never put a qualifier on that neighbor. May you be encouraged to seek hearts to love on outside of your religious, political, socioeconomic alliances.

Join us on this behind the scenes recap of the entire first season of The Love Manifested podcast! Ayannah and I and Haven Biscotti, her mostly lol, well behaved Cava-poo, are having a little fun as we take a loving look back at some of the best moments of the season.

By the grace of God we have delivered 32 episodes, of what we pray has landed as love and inspiration from all the thought provoking life experiences, shared from our beautifully vulnerable guests and the Spirit of God. As Ayannah reminisces, "It's all just like a big hug"!

"Any man can be a father, but it takes someone special to be a dad."

Not everyone has a father to celebrate this time of year. Due to circumstances outside of their control, some people have a very deep wound as it pertains to their earthly father. Sometimes that can impact how we see God as "The Father". Making it uncomfortable to grasp or wrap our heads, let alone our hearts around.

On this episode I’m sharing the 'T' with tenderness. As it pertains to how we honor The Father as well as the dad’s in our lives. A very practical and simple way we connect to our earthly father as well as our heavenly Father.

My prayer is that you will be moved to an action of love, period. If you are a dad, or have one that you will be moved to love… Love that is healing, and releases forgiveness. Love that is perfect to cast out all your fear, especially of becoming a dad. That you will be reminded that God "The Father" is a father to the fatherless. You can take the time at your own pace to get to know him as such and build a relationship from where you are right now. He will never reject you in your seeking of Him, nor abandon you like you may feel by your earthly father. May you be encouraged to seek Him more, no matter what your current relationship status is.

May those of you who are honoring your valuable, impactful position as dad, know that you are seen and appreciated in this short time we have together. I thank you for doing and being the best you can. Progressing not for perfection, but because of your love, connection and desire to be present. You are a true hero, and we salute you!

The pressures are greater than they have ever been for men in today's times. With society, and media's placing heavy burdens and removing some of the natural dynamics by which we communicate and relate to one another to build relationships...

I have invited one of your blessed and continually progressing brothers along to share a piece of his walk with you. Because there are some of you out there who have not truly connected the dots of just how impactful a relationship with God as Father, is. Through circumstances that can be environmentally charged, or simply the organic part of your nature, many men may have forgotten that through this one very personal relationship everything else in your life will be augmented. It will manifest visible fruits of the Spirit within you. Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, & (one of the most needed) Self Control will pour out, into, and over everything and everyone in your life.

My prayer is that this rich authentic conversation is a reminder for you, to get back into the seeking and pursuit of God as Father. As shared by one who understands what it is like to be a man balancing the responsibilities of life, and faith in a world that sometimes downplays the support that you so need and deserve.

As you are in the lead position of your life and/or household, may you be edified and inspired through this valuable perspective.

What's the "T"? Transition.

On this episode I am sharing some views on transitioning from one space to another. Because I don't think we spend enough talking about the nuances of the in between. When we go from one season to the next it's never presto change-o! We actually have a waiting phase or a transitional period for everything we do. Unfortunately, if improperly stewarded, we can really mess things up during the in between. It can get the best of us!

I see the solution as simple! And it starts with another "S" word. Can you guess what it is?

I pray this "T" time gets you thinking, offers some reminders, helps you have a woo-saaah, and brings you some comfort in knowing you are not alone in your experience of the in between. Every one of us goes through transition daily for all types of things, and with God there can be peace even when the boat gets to rockin'.

What’s the “T”? M.O.T.H.E.R.

My Only True Home Eternally Responsible

On this episode I am spending a little “T” or time loving on mothers! Truth is, mothers, in all our beautiful sometimes painful seasons are just not celebrated enough in this world! So I was pressed in spirit to celebrate and honor us with some love and a few reminders. I have a little something for you Grands as well, as you are pure royalty!

My prayer is that you never forget how valuable you are no matter what season you are in Mother. Additionally, if you are blessed with a relationship and the beating of her heart, may you be moved to give your precious mother a little extra love today. Be it physically, prayerfully, or forgivingly. To thank her for being the best she knew how to be, as she honored and was accountable to the sacred role of being the primary place you would forever know as home. Any day is a good day to love on and celebrate Mother.

Please Note: I intentionally carved out a seperate space, from a place of empathy, and deep respect in my heart, for mothers in a season not mentioned on this episode. Mothers who are navigating an intensely difficult heart space that has abruptly altered their life path and season. Wiser Older Woman! We celebrate you and honor the life you have lived!

Surrounding yourself with people that are on a different level of intelligence, or have more experience than you can provide for a beautiful exchange of life moments. Having access to those people in your life will always challenge you to grow exponentially. It really doesn’t matter what their vocation is, you can glean so much from spending time with them and it always leaves you better.

On this episode I welcome a woman who comes with a vibrant background and a life full of interesting stories. A professor and researcher of many things including Behavioral Science. With accolades that include a doctorate, one of her most proudest is for being the Cookie Man's wife! She was raised up attending strict faith based schools, and is making a beautiful statement about her current relationship status with God. Here in lies another opportunity to accept what may seem different, as someone else’s authentic process intersects with ours.

I pray that you will be reminded of the simple things that matter. That you are inspired to take inventory of how you hold space for the closest hearts in your life and are encouraged to take your relationship with God outside of the box you may have unintentionally put it in.

If we were to map out every stage of pain of devastation from impact, through process, towards healing, taking into account all set backs, relapses and counter productive moves, it just might exhaust us beyond the will to actually try in real time. Think about any time you have had to journey forward in this process that we never get to choose. We don’t get to choose when we begin and we most definitely don’t choose how long we journey here or when we reach our destination. Even defining the destination changes per the circumstance. For some it's peace, others joy, and then there is the need to just be recognizable to ourselves.

Thankful we have a God that knows exactly how difficult it is for us to brave forward. He really will supply us with the infrastructure of support we need to make it through. The problem is that it is extremely difficult to have faith in a God we can’t actually see when we are walking in defeat in moments like these, and guess what that’s ok too. Our experience is just that, ours.

On this episode we welcome a truly valuable heart that is willing to share her journey through heart breaking devastation, onto healing. She did it the only way she knew how. Taking all the various roads that would lead her back to wholeness. She even penned some of her process so that someone else may have solace in knowing they are not alone, there is hope, in joy finding its home in you again. She is a woman of great strength, vulnerability and determination to expose and explore the way we handle each other and ourselves when certain traumatic hurts occur. So we can see better, choose better and be better as we rise from the graves of destruction and betrayal.

I pray our time together offers you an introduction to this lovely woman’s heart that will aide you in your journey through, and back to yourself. Or if it is not you that is bleeding out, it will lead you to seek these tools as you assist another dear one close to you in their coming back to what is true, noble, pure, honorable, praiseworthy, and excellent. Where are my babies of the family at? Where are my babies of the family with at least 8 years between you and the next sibling at? Present!

There most definitely is a difference in how we get treated, labeled, and loved as the youngest in the family. Some of it can be good, some albeit unintentionally, can really hurt deeply. I know what some of you are thinking. That the baby of the family, whom is often labeled "spoiled"so how can it ever be bad, "You got everything!". Even that label right there "spoiled" is dismissive, and belittling to me.

It can be very lonely being the last born. Especially when there is a huge age gap and devastation occurs in the family. And no we are not being "overdramatic".

On this episode I welcome a very dear tender heart and present a word to her that sends her in to real time processing of how she is progressing forward and caring for herself as the youngest child. Welcome to a safe space...

I pray that you are enlightened and moved to compassion for someone close to you, even if that someone is you. That you begin to examine some things for yourself no matter where you fall in the family line up. With God and the people he surrounds us with we can overcome just about anything.

I pray it refreshes your spirit, and sends you back to the basics, inspired to dig in to the heart of God the man, His name is Jesus! Sent to save us from our own destructive ways towards ourselves and each other. Who was here to compassionately teach us about God's loving kindness, what faith is, and grace. Just because you have not been properly introduced or exposed to God, does not render His power in your life void. You will one day be able to look back and see the evidence so clearly, that the Spirit of the Lord actually was there.. (Shout out & Elevation Worship).

On this episode I am proudly introducing a guest that has a life story so telling of God and what favor looks like! Often times we can experience different pressures imposed by society. Pressures to enter into things that we may not be ready for or mature enough to handle. It can cause us to hastily do things that ordinarily, we would have spent a more discerning eye examining, had we felt we could take the time. For some that works out. However, for many it just doesn't.

Remember the caterpillar in the 1951 cartoon classic Alice and Wonderland? He kept asking little Alice, "Who are You?" She had a tough time explaining as she wasn't quite certain after going through so many changes, in one day. This is a question at some time or another, you may have been asking yourself. Perhaps you even felt puzzled because the answer was not coming to you as clearly as you would have liked, either.

It is easy to get caught up accepting what others want to define us as. Sometimes we even have expectations placed on us as children, that while well intended, put undue pressure upon us that can take years to release. Well meaning intentions can still have unintended consequences and thank God for providing us resources to help us on our journey forward.

One of the most beautiful things about sharing our stories is we never know in totality, what's behind those on the receiving end of it. Who we are inspiring. Who we are encouraging to step out boldly, to be who they have been called to be. We don't even realize how our story is meeting the listener at a place of divine timing. To be vulnerable, authentic, and wide open before any audience takes a different type of courage.

On this episode I have invited a rich and endearing heart that has comforted, inspired and facilitated healing in countless lives, including mine. She does so intentionally & it all begins with her willingness to share from her pain. A heart pure as gold, and as courageous as a lion when it comes to advocating for truth, honor and love.
