商品城分为5个区，即5个大楼。为了感受不同商品的区别，我在每个区都快速看了有哪些商品。其中，我重点看了饰品和工艺品区。
饰品区的人最多，其中很多是中国人。这和近几年很多人通过线上直播和跨境电商平台赚到了钱有关。饰品区的产品风格很多样，包括普通的银饰、珠子类、设计师款和二次元风格等等。其中一些店铺的产品很明显不是针对中国客户的。这里饰品的价格自然是比大商场里便宜的。不过，很多便宜的产品的起批量很高。很多习惯了大客户的商家们是不喜欢招待个人买家的。我在逛饰品区的时候看到了几家产品设计的不错的店。这几家店接受一次购买较少的产品。当然，他们的价格自然不像基础款那么便宜。我在其中一家买了一些。
工艺品区和饰品区不同。这里的产品种类更丰富，而且客人大都是外国人。从摆出来的产品来看，一些店似乎只针对某个国家的客户。另外，很多店会明确表示只招待海外客户。
除了小商品城，我还去了另外几个知名的地方，包括支持为中国国内电商平台“一件代发”的发货基地、按斤卖货的库存街。不过，这两个地方离小商品城有一段距离。可能因为这两个地方面对的都是中国商家，它们的设计很符合中国传统的批发市场。

张玉洁：我在买蒸汽眼罩。这个店的老板竟然把运费设置成了40元！我正让她改运费呢。它家以前的运费都是3块5。
王静：我记得你以前不用1688。
张玉洁：是的。我以前觉得1688上面的东西质量差。但是，上个月，我有个朋友送了我她在1688上买的蒸汽眼罩。我觉得它们的质量很不错，而价格只有我买的那款的一半！
王静：我知道很多淘宝店卖的商品就是1688上的东西。只是我以前不知道它们的价格差这么多！
张玉洁：看到价格的时候我也很惊讶。另外，1688上的店铺好像都要买家自己付运费。不过，如果你买的多的话，你可以问问运费是否可以便宜一些。
王静：运费不是固定的吗？
张玉洁：店家设置了一个固定的运费，但其实，在买家提交订单后还没付款的时候，店家可以手动修改运费。
王静：原来如此。我现在已经习惯买免运费的东西了。

我每天工作都需要长时间使用电脑。休息的时候，我还会用手机或者电脑来看文章和视频。这样的生活对我的眼睛伤害很大。为了保护我的眼睛，我去年开始使用蒸汽眼罩。
使用蒸汽眼罩是在对眼睛进行热敷。热敷是很多医生推荐的缓解眼疲劳的方法。虽然我们也可以用热毛巾来热敷，但热毛巾热的时间很短，同时大部分人的工作环境都不适合使用热毛巾。因此，大量上班族和学生都选择使用蒸汽眼罩。
网上较早出现的蒸汽眼罩是日本花王品牌旗下的产品。但花王品牌的蒸汽眼罩很贵，很多人不舍得买。其实蒸汽眼罩的工艺不是很复杂，因此很多工厂在了解到市场需求后就开始生产和售卖这种产品。我一开始在另外一家购物网站上购买蒸汽眼罩。但作为每天都要使用的消耗品，我希望可以买到更便宜的。因此，我开始在1688上搜索“蒸汽眼罩”。除了考虑价格外，我们在1688上也可以看到以前的评论和店铺的评分。另外，蒸汽眼罩虽然是用来热敷眼睛的，但是温度不能太高，所以一开始可以少买几个来测试温度。现在我已经找到了价格便宜产品质量不错的店铺。

虽然中国的音频服务提供商喜马拉雅（XIMA）在美股上市了，但其实播客在中国一直没有找到很好的商业模式。但这个问题在最近一年有了变化。现在，找播客主做广告的品牌变多了 。另外，很多用户可以接受付费听一些高质量的内容了。而这些现象在音频APP“小宇宙”上尤其明显。
“小宇宙”由信息推送工具“即刻”团队开发，于2020年3月份上线。“小宇宙”上的音频质量都比较高。它的早期用户大部分来自北上广等大城市。其实很多人一开始不看好这个项目，但让人没想到的是，它的用户数增长迅速，并且越来越多的新兴品牌选择找它上面的播客制作者来推广自己的品牌。
“小宇宙”的用户不仅是中国国内的听众，也包含很多生活在海外的中国人。而“小宇宙”内容的丰富度也是传统音频平台所不能比拟的。“小宇宙”看起来要被打造成一个音频版的Bilibili。虽然很多行业今年发展得都很差，但音频行业在中国绝对是欣欣向荣。

曾经的义乌是浙江省最穷的城市。这是因为义乌三面环山，不通水路，交通极为不便，同时，土地不适合种地，物产不丰富。但是，现在的义乌以小商品闻名全球。当地的“国际商贸城”每年会吸引大量的外商前来采购，其中一些商人还定居在了这里。义乌的“国际商贸城”有7.5万个商铺，涵盖了180多万种商品。因此，各式各样的外国餐厅应运而生。据报道，如果在义乌吃海外美食的话，人们可以一个月不重样。
在鼎盛时期，义乌大概有来自170多个国家的外商。外商人数巨大，因此大家一般会和自己的同胞抱团打拼。很多游客到义乌后都会前往韩国人、阿拉伯人的聚集地吃饭。这是因为人们认为这些地方的菜品更正宗。义乌的餐厅很多样。网上能看到的有中东餐厅、墨西哥餐厅、韩式料理、印度餐厅等。在其他城市很常见的西餐厅和日本料理在这里当然也看得到。
2020年的疫情让大量外商不得不离开中国。这对当地的餐饮业是巨大的打击。很多外国餐厅都倒闭了。一些想坚持的餐厅开始想办法吸引中国本土客人。幸运的是，去年年末的时候，中国的疫情管控终于结束了。坚持下来的餐厅们迎来了曙光。据报道，一些餐厅的老板表示，自己的生意已经回到了2019年的水平。

中国国内旅游业恢复后，很多中国人都开始期待国际机票降价。旅游服务线上平台表示，今年搜索出境游相关服务的人数暴涨，尤其是和签证相关的服务。据报道，部分地区美国签证中心的面签预约已排到七月底。另外，有网友表示，自己在北京意大利签证中心门口排队19小时后才成功递交材料。中国在放开疫情管控后，发生了很多类似的事情。由于工作和生活的需要，大家都迫切地希望可以出境。
过去三年里中国游客的缺席也大大影响了一些国家的旅游业。而在今年中国国内旅游业复苏后，一些网友也分享了他们在海外看到的当地为迎接中国游客做的准备。在日本媒体报道了中国“五一”假期民众出游的盛况后，日本政府也将解除新冠防疫入境检测措施的时间提前了。而澳洲布里斯班机场里重要的标识都已是中英双语。另外，巴黎机场除了是中英双语外，它中文的翻译水平很高，让游客在异国他乡感受到了中国式的诗意。

在中国，很多人都想开一家自己的淘宝店。但考虑到产品设计、写产品介绍等具体细节后，不少人都放弃了。不过现在，开淘宝店过程中很多繁琐的事情可以让AI来辅助完成了。Bilibili上的up主“36氪”就通过视频向我们展示了一个男生利用AI服务开淘宝女装店的全过程。而这个女装店上线后很快就有了订单。这让开这家店的男生惊讶不已，毕竟他的产品都是AI画出来的，并没有实物。

很多中国学生小时候学习英语都是为了考试。但当互联网让人们知道学习英语可以让自己有机会去其他国家学习和工作后，很多学生和成人都爱上了学习英语。因此，在中国的各个社交媒体上出现了大量英语老师。有的老师讲国外知名杂志上的文章，同时，有的老师在教授语法。但这些英语服务都是针对“学”英语而非“用”英语的。这个市场空白给了Cambly机会。
Cambly其实已经在中国以外的国家发展几年了。它上面的英语老师和学生来自全球多个国家。这让人们意识到，除了中国，很多国家的居民也在努力学习英语。更重要的是，Cambly为人们提供了一个接触世界的机会。Cambly上英语老师的人生经历各有不同。我们在搜索时，可以搜索“金融”、“写作”、“IT”等关键词来寻找想聊天的老师。这些人生故事对接受过传统教育的中国人来讲是巨大的冲击。以我为例，我从未想过可以在网上和电影编剧聊如何写剧本，也没想过会有机会和美国的医护工作者讨论中国的新冠疫苗。这些对话里，我的英语表达不算很流利，但也让我知道自己的英语口语并不像想象的那么差。中国学生总是很擅长自我打击。
Cambly上的老师其实并不专业。但作为外教服务，它做活动时的价格是可以接受的。为了吸引更多的学生，它也开发了很多IELTS等考试相关的课程。上课时，我用过一些Cambly提供的商务英语材料。这些材料对我而言很简单。我想很多人和我一样，都希望它可以做更多更专业的学习材料。
在我使用Cambly的半年多里，我见证了很多优秀老师的离开。Cambly提供的时薪对很多有本职工作的人来讲确实不高。在过去一年里，很多国家的物价都上涨了。不少人不得不离开Cambly去做其他的工作。Cambly也许已经遇到了运营和商业上的困难。

虽然社交软件赛道已经竞争非常激烈了，但很多人还是选择在这个领域创业，比如2015年上线的主打通过语音社交的SOUL。
对于如何通过语音进行社交，我感到很疑惑。所以，我在2018年的时候注册了SOUL。当时是在朋友家注册的，所以我和朋友两个人一起完成了我用SOUL的第一次语音连线。进入社会工作不久的我们在SOUL上感受到了不同年龄、地区和教育背景的人的差异。毕竟，我们从小到大在小城市的生活环境很单一，而到大城市后又忙碌于学习和工作。
转眼间，我已经注册SOUL5年了。这五年里，我不会经常使用它，但却时常会在中国互联网资讯的网站中看到它的发展进展和变化。SOUL最低谷的时候，曾被说过是寻找性伴侣的软件，是诈骗犯常用的寻找“客户”的工具。但其实，当今年我再次使用它的时候，我觉得这上面还是有很多有趣、博学和乐于交流的人的。可以说，SOUL引导我去了解了中国更多的城市，并帮助我认识到情感的多面与人性的复杂。
